They knew about the Triad and Dumain and Christy. She was still alive in their time since the ultimate battle was stopped so Christy, check. They knew about an unnamed demon stealing Coop's ring and taking Wyatt. Unnamed demon aka Dumain, check. Then they knew they had to go back in order to restore Wyatt's powers which would be before the Hollow was summoned so the Triad would still be alive. Triad, check.

And what they were going to do with it? They wanted to spread peace and love all over the world... Yeaa..so back in reality, it's clear that they needed the ring to time travel and the state they found Coop in shows that whoever took the ring was not a happy person who wanted to spread love.

Spell concentrates on Christy, unnamed demon, and the Triad. That's plenty. Even if the spell wasn't completely accurate, they still would have reached their destination with all the power they had with them. With that much power, there could be room for flaw and still be accurate.

They thought the triad was dead, and they didn't know Dumain was working for them, plus Christy wasn't around when the ring was stolen. They would not have pieced all that together for a spell!!! If Billie hadn't been there all they would know was Christy and Billie were alive, needed to be killed and Coop got his ring stolen by some unknown demon. because it was after they killed the triad and before they fought billie and Christy

and by the time they would have gotten back to when they thought wyatt got his powers stolen. It would have been too late. Christy and Dumain would have warned the triad. Wyatt would have been taken sooner and Billie and Christy would gotten the hollow before the charmed ones.

If they took the ring after the Triad was killed and before the battle, wouldn't it make sense that they got the ring to go back and warn the Triad? The Charmed Ones are not first time witches. They've figured out complicated situations before and I have no doubt that they would have been able to again. Unnamed demon steals time travel ring, demons = evil, Billie & Christy = evil, and Wyatt was taken from Victors by same unnnamed demon and Piper had already figured out that Billie and Christy took his powers.

Let's add it up. Unnamed demon takes Wyatt from Victors + Piper learns that Billie and Christy stole her son's powers + battle not fought + Triad dead + same unnamed demon taking Coop's time travel ring = Enough pieces to the puzzle to come to the conlusion of when they needed to write the spell to return themselves to in order to stop them from warning the Triad.

Thats true that they figure out complex situations for example in it's a bad bad world part 1 & 2 but it took them a good while to figure it out. To me it just doesn't seem they would have figured it out time; when Dumain's plan was already in motion and so I guess we are at a empass.

Well in the end I think both scenarios worked out. Yours is just the one that actually happened, but I just think it's plausible that the Charmed Ones could have succeeded without Billie's help.

But to each their own. This was the friendliest debate I've ever had. LOL.

Ok, i have noticed that on some peoples sig's there are things saying " Piper saved Leo" and on other peoples it says " Billie saved Leo"

So who did actually save Leo?

It was both, they ended up working together. We are debating whether it could have been done without Billie.

Actually, originally the debate was about Vaya Con Leos. How Piper pulled every connection known to the magical universe to save her husbands life vs. Billie handing over a crystal.

Personally i didnt understand the fight or what it was about. But i think that it was very clever how Kern and the other writers ( if there is any lol) tricked us into believing that BIllie was good.

But from what i can gather she is 'good' so really i think it is very good how Kern tricked us twice with this character. Interesting lol

Seems strange that you would give a person dubbed "the (key to) the ultimate power" as needing a whitelighter.

I don't think they explored that very much...or at all.

Billie was the ultimate power...Christy was the key.

And I think the elders had Billie be Paige's charge that way in the end, she would know that the sister's were right. (And thats only if they knew Billie was the ultimate power)

I've noticed in several places that people feel that Billy and Christy's powers developed to quickly. I have a question about that...

If Phoebe's evil baby had powers from the womb that almost consumed phoebe, is it possible that their powers were designed to grow rapidly and uncontrollably? Just thinking out loud.
