Simon and Schuster, the publisher that prints the Charmed books, is planning on cutting back on publishing Charmed novels. If you want to see the Charmed books continue, you can write to the following address:
Simon Spotlight Entertainment 1230 Avenue of the Americas New York, NY 10020

I sent my e-mail. I suggested that they not only continue to publish as is, but do a better job of promoting the books. Never have I seen a commerical on TNT regarding these books. Maybe they could add a blurb at the end of the episode, as the WB did in promoting the Charmed CD Book of Shadows. Yes, I know that the WB ignored the final CD. But, then, does that surprise anyone.
Folks, the fact that TNT airs the show 4 hours per day should mean something!

Has anyone had trouble locating House of Shards in a bookstore? I know it can be obtained on line at amazon. But, I like buying things in person. None of the Barnes and Noble stores in LA carries the darned book. Of course, they didn't have The Power of Three, Volume 2 or Triquetra. I had to order them from amazon!

As a record dealer, I must say that's not quite correct. Most chains DO NOT carry the Charmed CDs. Or, if they do, they carry only the most recent. For a chain like Hastings, you can occasionally find a used copy (I bought the first volume used in Kingman, Arizona and the third one new at the same Hastings.) A large store like Amoeba maintains backstock, but this might have to be ordered as well. Amazon sometimes is a lot easier!

I just moved and am disaponted with the book stores hear. My old book store had all of the books, this one only has 4 and I have them. And the book store in the mall does not have them at all. I like the books because they are like extra episodes.

What bookstore had them all. I am still trying to hunt down two from the Prue era: The Gypsy Enchantment and one other one.

Well, it's NOT a current TV show. Simonandschuster probably assume that the market will diminish. My bet is that it won't as new viewers are drawn to TNT constant airing of Charmed. Of course, Simonandschuster would have to get smart and purchase some add space or include ads for Charmed books in other publications, say the Lost series, the Buffy series, etc. For the moment, they have cut back the production schedule. Will sales still maintain? I hope so. Will lengthening the gap from two months to four months make us overlook a new publication? I don't think so. The Charmed Cafe and other sites do promote the books either through explicit announcements or book reviews. Whatever: let's keep buying the books since that's the message Simonandschuster will understand!

I love the charmed books as i only got into charmed late (around season 6) they were my only knowledge of Prue!! well until i bought the DVD's but i think it would be silly to cut back on the books i mean what would charmed fans do i know i would be very disappointed (in light terms)

I think that stopping Charmed Books is LUDICROUS! Of course they act like an extra episode but look at Buffy! Great show, and the woman still has everything giong for her even when it ended it 2003. Books of it are still being relaeasd and also comics and what-not. I say...... MORE charmed Ac tion figures, books, dvd's, comics, and hopefully a computer game!
