^^ the books are really good it like new episodes altogether. your idea is really good about bringing prue back in charmed forever book
like i said before they should of made a charmed forever as the last book for the end of the series. I mean they made the power of three the first book to introduce the series and when prue was killed off they introduced the book charmed again to introduce paige. I just thought that by ending the series that would of been the last book.
then i thought about it again if they ever wanted to go back to the book series in the near future they could because they didnt make forever charmed the last book thats just my theory

I sent my e-mail. I suggested that they not only continue to publish as is, but do a better job of promoting the books. Never have I seen a commerical on TNT regarding these books. Maybe they could add a blurb at the end of the episode, as the WB did in promoting the Charmed CD Book of Shadows. Yes, I know that the WB ignored the final CD. But, then, does that surprise anyone. Folks, the fact that TNT airs the show 4 hours per day should mean something! they should promote it more i would buy all the books no matter the price

I only have about 12 of them.
But I walked into a Book Store the other day and after looking around, I asked the lady to check their catalog for Charmed books. You know what she said to me? DO YOU KNOW WHAT SHE SAID TO ME!?
She said, "I'm sorry, honey, we haven't had any Charmed books in a while...they're really not around anymore. Maybe you should pick up on a different series."
Of course, she was trying to be funny, because I told her I LOVED Charmed. But I just find it ridiculous that Charmed is being treated like a trend. All my friends, do you know what they say, "I used to watch it." used to. Charmed is still Charmed and it can never get old. What is wrong with the world....

I haven't read any charmed books. Is the series based on the books? I am always looking to read new books. I usually read only VC Andrews novels but if the books are any thing like the show then I will read them. I will check my book store and see if the still have charmed. They do npot have the end writing the books because of the TV show ended.

The book series is based on the TV show. I would recommend most of the books to read, although most major stores aren't stocking them anymore. If you are really interested, you might be able to find them online, or maybe order through a bookstore, which is what I had to do to get the last five books. There are about 35 in all.

Well, I haven't looked at regular bookstores in a while for them (if you know me I don't frequent those much because I can't afford to buy books at regular prices as many as I buy) the last time I did look for them the store I was in (Hastings I think) had a number in stock. I don't run into them a lot at the bookstores I do frequent, but when dealing with those, the used bookstores, I don't find a lot of books that I can find at full price elsewhere, probably because those that do buy them don't get rid of them. Of course I cannot assume everyone is like me when it comes to reading.
I do know that Trickery Treat was the last Charmed book, which is sad, but it is what it is.
I have come across the "we don't carry those" comment with other books I read, especially after they quit writing them. One of my favorite book series is an example, though I was directed to another store that did carry them. Unfortunately that store only had a select collection of them and I am only missing one. Another such instance the store later started carrying the books I was looking for, which was pretty cool.
Good luck in finding the Charmed Books. The ones I have read are pretty interesting. . . I really need to read the rest of the books I bought. This is what happens when you have somewhere around two or three hundred unread books.

Ah, the Charmed books. I reviewed them on the sadly now defunct CharmedOnes.com website (that the Charmed Cafe was once part of). I was out of that job when the books were discontinued in 2008. A few of my reviews are still around though. You can find them here.

I enjoyed most of the charmed books, they were a little off sometimes like one of them I think had Phoebe using energy balls which made no sense lol but they were still entertaining.

I found that the books written by Paul Ruditis and Diana G. Gallagher were the best ones. They seemed to do the research.
In fact, Paul Ruditis sent me a copy of Leo Rising with a note of thanks after he read my review of it. I gave it a 10/10. It would have made a perfect Charmed Sons episode.

We've been discussing the ebooks (and, no, at this point there is no plans to release them as a hard copy) in the Charmed Comics, since the ebooks were written by Paul Ruditis who wrote the first season of the comics, and "The War on Witches" is a sequel to the comics, although you don't have to read the comics in order to enjoy the ebook. The next one, "Let Gorgons be Gorgons" is due to be released in November. Here's some of the posts we made discussing the first book: Having slept on it, I don't feel any differently I'm afraid. I'm glad there's only two more issues of this arc left. One more thing did come to mind though... and that's that I'd like to see them fight a demon, save an innocent, use a bit of magic, something. I guess Prue has magic coming out of her ears, but it's been three months now since the Charmed Ones have done much of anything. No wonder I'm bored this arc. I'm just glad Paul's next e-book is out soon. If his novels continue to be as great as his comics and his first e-book were, I'm thinking they might work better into my head-canon as a "season 10" of sorts. Perhaps the "season 10" that might have been; had Zenescope and CBS not given his job away after two years of excellent work. I'm very happy and very excited to announce that a friend of mine found out that you can get Paul's e-book via Barnes and Noble and since I have a Nook, I've bought it and had it put on my Nook. I'm taking the Greyhound to Chicago tonight and am going to use that time to read the story! I am SO excited to finally get to read the start of Season 10 as *PAUL* wanted it, not how Shand did. Yes, this will take place between those two series, but the same way I can pretend that Season Seven is the last season of Charmed, I can also pretend that this is the last season of Paul's Charmed. Yay, so glad you've finally been able to get it. Can't wait to hear what you think of it. Yes, I'm totally with you there. So glad Paul has had the opportunity to keep telling his stories. I just got back from doing some shopping for my trip tonight and I couldn't resist starting it. I LOVE IT!!!! THIS is *so* how the next part of the story should've gone! Now I can pretend that Shand's Season 10 is actually Season 20 with all sorts of fun stuff in between! And just like Season 9, what I like best is how Paul Ruditis writes the sisters - these are so the sisters I love! Can't help quoting a couple of the things from "The War on Witches" that made me smile the biggest: No, Kern's Coop was Mr. Cardboard. Paul Ruditis' isn't, so I hope when people talk about the comics, especially people who haven't read the comics, stop calling him that.. He's the one who's perfect for Phoebe, and even Cole knows it, just like the Cole of Season 9, but not the Cole of Season 10. And, oh, yes, then there was this: So VERY glad that Paul Ruditis knows the difference between a Nexus and the shadow that lived beneath the Manor and possessed Phoebe and Zankou - and that that's what was destroyed at the end of "Something Wicca This Way Goes" and not the nexus since it's impossible to vanquish a location. Oh, there's so, so much more, but I'll leave that to those who want to read it. Me, I totally love it and already count it as part of my head-canon, something I don't count Season 10 as. Glad you're enjoying the book Es. You're right, Paul has a great understanding of the series' mythology and the relationships. I think it has actually worked out well for him really, since he can give so much more depth in novels. As great as his comics were, I do think he's more in his element now. And I also enjoy Phoebe. Even when it involves her love life. No small feat after years of the Kern-ized mutation that we know as PhoeMe... but Paul managed it! Isn't that absolutely the truth? And I feel bad for all the fans who were fooled by Cole and Kern and Alyssa and don't see it that way. I *SO* wish Paul Ruditis had been the main writer for the entire run of Charmed - both TV series and comics! [Get to announce that I was able to read this entire book on the bus to/from Chicago last weekend and totally, totally LOVED it!!! It ended up being a bit anticlimactic, but except for that, it's so very much the story that should've followed the Season 9 comics and makes me sad to think what Season 10 could've/should've been like rather than that Cole fanfic we've been stuck with. I particularly liked what he showed to be what Prue now is (nothing like what Shand did - he concentrated on the fact that the grimoire is now part of Prue; Ruditis concentrated on where she now is - at the Nexus of the All. *She's* not the Nexus (like "Is There a Woogie in the House", the Nexus is a location - the place where Heaven and the Underworld connect); she's the conduit for the magic.) And the way all of her tattoos now work is just cool! I love the way how Piper, Phoebe and Paige react to her new status and also how Cole reacts towards his. It's just so very much them, the them I loved in Season 9, not Season 10. Anyone who liked Season 9 will love this; anyone who doesn't, don't bother. Best of all, it included a preview of Paul Ruditis' next book in the series, "Let Gorgons be Gorgons" that comes out in September and I CAN'T WAIT! Of course, it really won’t come out until November, but this should give you an idea of what I think of “The War on Witches”.

Oh, no, don't feel that way at all! If anyone else doesn't read the comics, they also might not have heard about the e-books, and thanks to your post, now they would.

But I'm wondering if that power of 3 spell combined with the power of the Nexus spell had something to do with what has been happening in season 10? Then again it may not be I don't know.
