Coles pain at Christmas - Completed

Loved the update it definitly was worth waiting for as Primmose pointed out! I really feel for Cole! Talk about keep us on the edge of our seats..Whats going to happen next? Is he going to try and explain himself to Phoebe and will she beleive him and forgive him? I hope so! I really love them as a couple! Anyway dont keep me waiting too long or ill go crazy lol! Please update again soon ;D

Oh, Sammi!! Am I ever with the others! An update a day early is an absolutely fantastically wonderful treat. I wondered if killing the witch would get Cole in trouble and, man, has it ever! How is he going to prevent himself from getting vanquished AGAIN???

Like the others, I really felt bad for Henry, having to bear the brunt of Cole's anger....you would think that he would begin to suspect that Cole has gone demonic "again" from his actions.

I felt so bad for Phoebs--she wants Cole to be normal so they can have a normal life almost as much as Piper wanted Leo to be normal! But Cole's not normal and we can see how his demonic side is definitely getting the best of him!

I hated seeing the sisters go at each other like that, even tho we know that Paige is right (I just wish we'd be shown *how* she knows). And what will Piper think/do when *she* finds out? How can Phoebe possibly vanquish the father of her daughters? I hope eventually Cole does the right thing and has Barbas send him back to his own reality so Phoebe can have her normal Cole back and his daughters can have their true father back, since Belthazar isn't and this Cole is still also Belthazar!

But I do feel bad for Cole...Barbas sure knew how to manipulate him and Cole sure let himself be manipulated! And now, naturally, Barbas is nowhere to be found. He must be somewhere laughing himself silly for what he's done to the mighty Belthazar!

But now what is he going to do with Paige?? She continues to be my favorite character so I'm *truly* worried about what he will do with her. And I'm more concerned about her soon-to-be-born baby! What if she goes into labor? What will Cole do??! Would he truly hurt her baby so that she can feel what it's like to lose someone? (And of course, Paige, who lost her adoptive parents and lost Kyle--as much as most of us hate him--*has* felt that pain, but naturally, our half-demon is only thinking of himself an not much else)

Cole landed in a dark cave with Paige firmly in his grips. He looked around and waited for his eyes to adjust to the dark.
"Cole!" Paige screamed "Let go of me!"
"Ouch! For Christs sake Paige!" He had to let go of her, she had bitten him. He looked at her as she backed away scared.
"Where have you brought me?" She asked. Cole laughed evily.
"Now that would be telling" He paced round thinking.
He had thought this through so carefully on his way to the manor and now he had absolutely no idea what to do. He did however know that he needed to ask Paige how she found out what he had done, or whether she was just bluffing. Before he did that he had to make sure she couldnt orb away.
He walked over to a corner and pulled up a chair and some rope, and then walked over to Paige.
"You think that is gonna keep me here?!" she mocked him.
"Shut up" he snarled, and pushed her back onto the chair and rapped the rope around her. He stepped back, watched and laughed as Paige struggled to orb out.
"Now. You are going to tell me why you think I killed someone, and why you wont stop this obsessant grudge with me!" He demanded.
"I know you did it Cole!" Paige exclaimed. "I dont have to explain myself to you"
Cole walked towards her so quick that she lost her fierceness and flinched. He was getting so angry that he couldnt control it anymore. He found himself behind her with his athema placed to her throat.
If he just killed her now, no one would know it was him. There are demons after the sisters all the time. I could slit her throat and then go back and act like the concerned brother-in-law he thought. Cole caught himself in his thoughts. No! He thought again. What am I thinking? I cant do that. Just imagine Phoebe's distress, and never minding the fact that she went missing after she accused me of killing someone. No. Im not doing this.
"Ok! Ill tell you!" Paige said, just as he was about to pull away.
"Just take that away from my neck!" she demanded.
Cole did as he was told.
"It was Barbus" She informed him. "He came to see me, took me to the scene and told me it was you!"
Cole felt his heart and stomach drop. The two faced son of a b***h!! He thought. He stood up and started pacing round desperately. Paige watched him.
"Um, with all intents and purposes Cole, do you blame me for not giving you the benefit of the doubt?!" She asked. "You go crazy, and kidnap me, and shimmer me into what can only be the underworld..." she left the sentence trailing as she could see he was angry.
All of a sudden Cole let out a loud roar and ran to Paige, who swiftly screamed as he pushed her chair back, and landed awkwardly. Suddenly she let out a loud cry.
"Cole! Cole help me!" she begged. Cole looked at her and instantly calmed down. He could see her face twisted in pain.
"COLE!" She screamed. He jumped and helped her up.
"Whats up?" He asked panicing.
"Whats up? WHATS UP?!!!!" Paige replied sarcastically. "Have you noticed Im the size of a small elephant?! My waters just broke!" she informed him. "And dammit I cant orb!!" Coles stomach dropped once more.
"I am not staying here while you give birth!" Cole said.
"Well youre sure as hell not leaving me here! And dont even think about leaving me alone!" Paige screamed.
Cole stood up and tried to think. This isnt happening! He thought. What he would give to go back to this morning and start again.
He sat down on a stone and thought for a long time about Phoebe and his little girls. Thought about what he was going to do to Barbus when he found him. Thought about his life he had without the family. He was brought back into reality by Paige screaming his name.
"COLE!! God dammit Cole!"
Cole jumped up and walked over to her. "Are you ok?" He asked rather stupidly.
"Am I ok?" She repeated. "Yeah, IM JUST PEACHY!" She answered through gritted teeth. Cole stood up again and wondered how best to handle this. He couldnt remember anything to do with his girls birth, so he didnt know how to deal with this.
Paige interrupted his thoughts again. "Cole? I think theres something wrong..." He turned around and looked her in the eyes. Her face was pale, and she looked petrified.

WOW, Sammi! Absolutely totally WOW! What an update! You have Cole/Belthazar down SOOOO well!

BARBAS showed Paige what Cole had done! OH, that Demon of Fear knows just how to get to Cole, doesn't he!! Fantastic job on your part coming up with that!

Funny, when reading this, it's not Paige's voice I hear in my head, it's Piper's! Paige in labor is reminding me of Piper! Which makes sense since she's the only one we've seen in labor, and it shows that these two are definitely sisters...

Would Cole/Belthazar really leave Paige and her baby to possibly die? But if he lets her go, how will he prevent her from telling her sisters and from Phoebe hating him and wanting to vanquish him YET AGAIN???

"Whats wrong?" He asked. Silly question really Cole! He thought.
"The baby! Its not hurting anymore. Why isnt it hurting?!" She cried.
"Because you had a contraction maybe?" He replied.
"No! This is different!" She tried moving, but couldnt because of the way she was positioned, which was causing her to scream in frustration.
Cole mustered all his strength and got down on his knees to try and help her.
"Paige, just push!"
"I cant! I really, really cant!" She cried. He looked up at her and gave her a weak smile.
"If it helps, think of how much you hate me, and how much you wanna vanquish me! The quicker you do this, the quicker you can!!"
Paige let out a laugh and then winced with pain.
"Ill try!"
"Good girl!" He said proudly. "After three. Three, two..." He looked at her face which was transfixed on something behind him. He turned around to have a look and there was Barbus.
Cole instantly forgot about what he was doing and stood up.
"Belthazar, Belthazar!" Barbus repeated while chuckling.
"And what a fabulous way to bring your child into the world Paige. Oh, how angry you must be." He greated Paige.
Cole walked upto Barbus.
"YOU!" He grunted at him. Barbus looked at him as if surprised by his reaction.
"Did you really think I would let you have what you really wanted?" Barbus taunted Cole. "Did you really think that after you killed just one little witch for me, that I would let you go?" He asked.
"It was our deal Barbus!" Cole replied. He heard Paige scream in the background.
"I knew it! I knew it was you!" She was ranting.
Cole tuned her out and carried on walking slowly to Barbus. All his loathing, fear, anger and frustration were building up inside him. He felt it working its way from his stomach, right up to his throat, and felt it as he screamed in anger and transformed into Belthazar.
Barbus chuckled. Cole stared him right in the eye and summoned an energy ball. Before he could do anything he watched as white orbs surrounded a rock which hit Barbus in the head, and watched as Barbus's face twisted in surprise and watched as he fell to the floor unconcious.
Cole turned around and saw Paige.
"Never piss a woman off while pregnant and in labour!" Paige ranted. "Cole! Come back to me! Help me! I need your help now!" She begged.
Cole looked down and saw that he was still as his alias and had an energy ball in his hands. He felt a flicker of freedom, but then looked back at Paige who was in obvious panic and pain, and felt his heart melt a little. Even though it was her who was messing his life up, even though its her who has had a crazy grudge against him for the past 7 years. Even though he really dispised her, he couldnt let her down at a time like this. His heart melted and he transformed back to Cole.
"Welcome back" Paige welcomed "Now get your butt here and help me!" she demanded.
Cole did as he was told and bent down again.
As he helped her through the labour he couldnt help but think of what he had missed. He should be able to remember doing this with Phoebe. He should be able to remember his little girls first moments in the world, but he couldnt. His heart hurt.
And now Im never going to know, he thought.
He was interrupted by Paige.
"Cole! Cole Im sorry!" she cried as she was trying desperately not to scream. He let out a laugh.
"Dont laugh at me, it feels like Im dying Cole!" He looked at her. Her face was red, but yet she was shaking and looked extremely weak.
"Dont be stupid woman! Youre not going to die! You are doing the most amazing thing ever and you have to be here when your baby grows up!" He said to her.
Cole was taken aback at what he was saying to one of the people who he never thought he would talk to civilly again.
"Now one more push and youre done Paige!" He demanded. "Are you ready?" He asked.
"No! No Im not! I cant do it! It hurts so much! Dont make me do it Cole!" she was pleading with him.
"I cant give birth for you! Do it! One more push!"
He felt strangely excited that he was about to witness his neice or nephews birth.
Paige let out a loud cry and grabbed his hand and squeezed it so hard that he lost circulation. They both roared at the same time.
It felt like a blur for Cole. He looked and saw the baby, he wasnt moving.
His heart stopped for a second. He felt around for his athema and cut the chord.
"Can I see my baby?" Paige asked. She looked and saw Cole's face. "What?" She asked him. She looked into his eyes and saw fear.
"Cole?" She asked.
"Paige wait here, Ill be back for you soon!"
"No! NO!!! Dont you dare leave me!" Paige screamed. Cole took another look at Paige and shimmered out.

Wow, lucky me! Not just one, but two updates. *grins*

Very, very well done -- you write Cole and his inner turmoil with Belthazar so well -- I can totally feel for him. And Barbas with the double cross -- another nice addition, and something I wasn't expecting.

And now this update....

Just when I thought it couldn't get more dramatic -- it did. What with the birth, and the baby in trouble, and now Cole has taken the newborn and left...hopefully to get help. But he's left Paige alone and vulnerable down there.

Once again I get to ask if I can say ditto to Primrose (she and I seem to be making a habit out of doing that--but we both adore all of these fantastic fics that have been popping up!) Wow! What an update! From Cole turning to Belhtazar when he becomes angry to his turning back to Cole when he actually feels sympathy for the woman who hates him and who he should hate. WOW! What drama! Who knows? Maybe when this is all over, both Paige and Cole will be able to be friends! But first we have to be sure that Paige's baby will be OK *and* we have to be sure that Paige can somehow escape the Underworld!

Cole shimmered into the hospital. Several people looked round at him shocked that he had just appeared.
A couple of old women looked at him and smiled, turned to each other and started gossiping. Other people gasped in horror as what they just saw happen sunk into their heads.
A nurse walked over to him and demanded to know what he was doing right in the middle of the ER.
Everyone failed to notice the look of desperation on his face.
He wanted to shout at the people to help him, wanted to roar at them to get up and help the baby. He turned round and looked at the nurse who looked into his eyes, and then looked down into his arms. Her face dropped as she realised that there was a baby in his arms.
"I... I..." Cole stuttered.
"Doctor!" The young nurse shouted. She grabbed the baby off Cole and ran into the nearest unoccupied room. Cole ran after her, and watched the scene unfold before him in what appeared to be slow motion.
He was budged out of the way as people ran into the room to try and help the new born. There were doctors feeling him, proding him and generally smothering him, and all Cole wanted to do was just pick him up and hold him.
He walked over to the doctors and pushed some of them out of the way.
"LET HIM BREATHE!" He shouted.
"Sir!" One of the nurses called. "SIR!" She called again. Cole turned round and looked at her.
"Please leave the room sir, we will try the best we can" the young lady insisted as she lead the weak Cole out of the theatre and sat him down on one of the seats. Cole immediately stood back up.
"Its my fault" he whispered. The nurse looked at him
"Sir please sit back down." She asked politely.
"Its my fault" Cole repeated loud enough for people to look round at him again. The nurse put her hand on his shoulder and pushed him back down onto the seat.
"I doubt that very much, now please stay calm. We will let you know what happens. Can you tell us where his mom is?" She asked.
Cole jumped again. Paige! He thought. How could I have forgotten about her? He stood up and walked out of the room, ignoring the nurse shouting after him. He walked through the entrance and the old ladies who were sat there when he first arrived were still there.
He stopped and took a look around. Saw a toilet and walked into the cubicle. He took a minute to sit back down and take a breather. Thousands of thoughts were running through his head. He felt a tear trickle down his face. He couldnt imagine what he would have done if that was one of his girls.
Get a grip Cole! He shouted to himself. With that thought he shimmered back to Paige.

"Cole!" He was greeted. Cole looked at her to see that she was very pale and shaking.
"Paige, we have to go" He demanded. "Are you ok to stand up?"
"Wheres my baby? Hows my baby?" She asked, paniced as Cole bent over to pick her up.
"Cole answer me!" She cried.
"The doctors are doing all they can!" He informed her as he shimmered out, and back to the hospital.
Paige was crying desperately out of both pain and fear as he walked back through the hospital doors and to the ER. The nurse who had spoken to him before saw him walking into the building and rushed over to him.
"Is this the mom?" She asked. Cole nodded.
"Wheres my baby?" Paige demanded.
"Its ok miss." The nurse reassured as she walked to get a wheelchair.
"Can you pop yourself in this for me and we'll go clean you up!"
Cole placed her in the chair, and the nurse wheeled Paige out of the room.
Someone walked over to him.
"Excuse me, how did you materialise that you did before?" the stranger asked. Coles stomach dropped. He didnt think it had gone un-noticed however he was too tired and stressed to worry about it at that time.
"I dont have time for this" Cole replied and walked off. Just as he got to the doors he saw Piper, Phoebe, Henry and Leo running towards him. Here we go, he thought. Its all over now!
"Cole!" Piper shouted. "Wheres Paige?" She asked.
"How did you know..." Cole started.
"Leo sensed that she was back above ground and in pain. We came straight here. What in the hell happened?!" Piper demanded off him. Cole's head felt like it was about to burst.
"Paige went into labour, and theres something wrong with the baby" Cole explained.
"NO!" Henry cried out. Phoebe walked over to him and tried her best to console him.
"And whats happening?" Leo asked. He seemed the more calm out of them all. Cole looked at him, who in turn was looking at Piper who was causing havoc amoungst the nurses demanding to know where Paige was.
"Piper hunny..." He trailed off. The room had frozen.
"I HATE hospitals!"
"Piper are you crazy?!" Phoebe laughed.
"No Im just wanting to know where my sister and nephew are!" Piper explained.
"See, this is the kinda crazy stuff that gets us caught out!" Phoebe insisted. Cole looked at Leo again, who was this time studying his face. Cole felt invaded. He knows, Cole thought.
The room unfroze and this time Piper had one of the nurses attention.
"Right! Thank you!" Piper said. "Come on." Cole followed as the rest tagged along after Piper.
They entered a bright room. It was plain white with little balloons here, there and everywhere. The room was silent except for the beep of a heart monitor.
Right in the middle of the room was an incubator with a baby inside it.
Piper gasped as they walked upto the baby. Cole lingered behind as he didnt want to look at what his foolishness had caused. He slowly followed. Phoebe turned round and leant on Cole, as Leo comforted Piper. Henry was stood there alone, just staring at his little baby boy.
Cole looked at the scene. After all the evil things that he had done, this one took the biscuit. They all turned as they heard a noise behind them.
It was Paige being wheeled into the room.
Paiges eyes landed on Cole first as she looked and then looked away as Henry ran upto her.
"Hey!" She said as lightly as she could. "Iv just had a beautiful baby boy!" She boasted. They all laughed weakly, as even though she had had a rough time, she was still making light of everything.
One of the nurses walked over to her.
"Well, he is a little bit weak, but if you want he is healthy enough for you to hold him!" Paiges face lit up.
"And" the nurse carried on "if it wasnt for this gentlemen here, he would have been a lot for, so kudos for you!" The nurse informed them as she pointed to Cole.
They all looked at Cole, because they all knew, even if they darent say it aloud infront of the nurse, that Cole is the reason why Paige's baby was here so early in the first place.

Oh my gosh. This story is amazing. I don't read too many of these stories, but this one I just love. I'm just glad that Paige and her baby got to the hospital. What is Cole gonna do about Basbas and Phoebe. This is one helluva story.

The nurse stayed in the room for a while checking that Paige and the baby were ok.
Cole took the opportunity to try and talk to Phoebe.
"Phoebe?" He called to her. She turned around and looked at him.
"Can I have a word?" He asked. Piper also turned around and looked him straight in the eyes. He again felt invaded.
"Go on, Ill stay here with Paige and Henry" Piper insisted.
"Ok, thanks sis" Phoebe thanked and followed Cole out of the room.
As they walked back through the ER Cole tried to hold Phoebe's hand, but she flinched again, pulled her hand away and crossed her arms so he didnt have access to either of her hands. His heart was aching even though he knew that he had brought most of it on himself.
"Cole..." Phoebe started as they walked outside.
"Yes?" He enquired.
"What happened?" She asked. He looked at the floor, not really wanting to explain that he had let her down again, and killed someone, therefore kidnapping her sister and putting her life in danger. Atleast he couldnt just burst it all out like that straight away.
"Cole?" She demanded. He looked up, and tried to talk but there was a lump in his throat.
"Phoebs... I just. I dunno!" He started. He knew that he had to tell her the whole truth, but he couldnt bring himself to.
"I know what happened." Phoebe explained. Cole looked at her puzzled.
"How so?" He asked her.
"I know, that obviously a demon kidnapped her, you went to find her, and she went into labour." Phoebe told him.
"And, how do you know that?" He was very confused.
"Piper told me. She spoke to Paige before."
Cole obviously looked startled.
"Whats the matter?" She asked him. He went to hug her, and this time she let him hold her.
"Is that what happened?" Phoebe asked as she embraced his hug.
Cole couldnt help but nod. Even though it isnt what happened. He just couldnt bare with losing Phoebe again.
"Theres still something bothering me though" Phoebe said as she pulled away. "Why did Paige accuse you of killing a witch, and why did the scene look like that?" She asked.
"Barbus tried to set me up" Cole lied through his teeth. There was an element of truth to it though, he reasoned with himself.
"So, you still have powers?" Phoebe pondered.
"Yes." Cole answered bluntly. Well theres no point lying about that too, or how would he explain how he "found" Paige and got the baby back safely?
"Lets go back inside" Phoebe said. She took his hand and walked with him back to Paige.
Piper glared at him as he walked through the door. Luckily Phoebe didnt see as she was too busy cooing over her new nephew.
"Im going to go get some soda." Piper told everyone. "Does anyone want anything?"
"No" everyone answered.
"Cole, could you come help me?" Piper asked, even though it was obvious that she wouldnt need any.
It was oddly silent as they walked down the corridor.
"Cole!" Piper started. "Could you please explain to me, why you decided to kidnap my sister?" she demanded. Cole felt his stomach drop again. Just as he thought he was getting away with something, it turned on him.
"Whats Paige said?" He asked, playing carefully.
Piper started to laugh, as if mocking him.
"Whats Paige said?" she replied. "Well how about the fact that you killed a witch, she found out, and then you kidnapped her and almost jeapodised her baby's life?" Piper blurted.
"I dont have to explain. Why didnt you tell Phoebe that?"
"Because I cant bear to see my sister in pain again" Piper explained.
"I cannot believe that I altered the past to make it so that you two were together, and you go and do something like this!" Piper started ranting.
"I did it for Phoebe! I did it so that I could carry on living. Barbus was bribing me!" Cole shouted back.
"I so cannot wait to vanquish your sorry ass!" Piper said as she walked off.
Cole watched her walk away, and started to wander around the hospital. He stopped after a while and spotted a chapel, and decided to go and sit in there for a bit out of the way.
He sat down and reflected on the past day and a half.
Madness! He thought. Absolute madness.
He heard a voice behind him, a very familiar chuckling.
"Belthazar, how good to see you again!" the voice taunted.
Cole jumped and turned around. Barbus had returned.

Ohh very intriguing..i was happy that Piper lied to Phoebe.. But yeah Poor Cole, i wish he could just explain himself and they all beleived him lol!! I hate seeing him all upset and like this!! lol Poor Cole! As always another fantastic update, you really know how to keep us keep coming back!!

Oh, Sammi! I just realized that I missed an update, so I've read both of them and What a couple of updates!! My heart aches for you that you had a bad experience with babies. My nephew (my baby brother's baby boy) was born 2 months too early and was only given a 10% chance of living, so I know the feeling very well. Sam is now 9 and doing fantastic despite having cerebral palsy, so he's in a wheelchair and has trouble talking. I do hope that Paige's baby will be OK and won't have similar problems. Hopefully being quarter-whitelighter will help out.

I'm glad that Cole was able to save both the baby and Paige, but happier that he's finally realized what his evil side has made him do. Hopefully that will help him keep it under better control in the future...if he has a future!

At first I truly thought that Paige had lied about what had happened in gratitude to Cole for saving her baby, so when Piper told him otherwise, it threw me for as big of a loop as it did Cole. But like the others, I was very glad that Piper had lied to try to save Phoebe more pain. I was also surprised to find out that it was Piper who had altered the reality to allow Phoebe to have Cole. I'd *love* to know how she managed that one, unless I read it wrong.

And now, who should be back.... Oh, I hope Cole vanquishes Barbus and KEEPS him vanquished, something the sisters have never been able to do!! Congrats..you've written him so I *truly* hate him when a lot of the time on the show I merely found him pitiful.

Now I've GOT to know what's going to happen!! PLEEEEEEEASE update soon!

*smiles* A short update is better than no update! And another wonderful piece of the puzzle is what you've given us here, sweetie. I'm with the others -- I so feel for Cole and do hope that he has a future, although I must admit that it's not looking good for him right now. Barbas is back, and to track Cole down and tease him in the chapel of all places! Ohhh, I hate that guy, so here's hoping that once he's gone, he stays gone on a permanent basis.

Cole felt all his anger mounting up again.
"YOU!" he shouted. The other person in the chapel looked round and tutted. Cole ignored them.
"Whats the matter?!" Barbus asked trying to act surprised that Cole was angry.
Cole broke down, and Barbus backed away in disgust.
"Why are you doing this to me?!" Cole asked Barbus, on the edge of tears and fearing complete mental liquidation.
"Because, I thought it would brighten up my day!" Barbus told him. Cole clenched his fists. He could have atleast come up with some kind of plausible excuse! Cole thought to himself.
"I just want to know why you told Paige?" Cole asked.
"Belthazar, if I told you everything, it would take all the fun out of the game wouldnt it?" Barbus walked over to Cole and bent down so he was eye level with him.
"Game" Cole whispered. "GAME??!!" He then shouted, knocking Barbus back from surprise as he stood up.
"You think playing mind games with me, letting me know my family life, and then completely messing them up, is a GAME?" Cole ranted to Barbus.
"Yes, yes I do!" Barbus answered evilly. "I thought it was high time that Belthazar realised that he couldnt have his cake and eat it too, so to speak. I thought it was time, that Belthazar either chose his precious witch and get killed, or chose evil, and still get killed"
Cole looked up. Still get killed? He pondered.
Barbus could see the confusion on his face.
"Yes Belthazar, you will get killed anyway. Either by me, or by the witches that plague your life"
"They dont plague my life. Theyre my family and I would do anything for them!" Cole cried. "Its why I did what I did!"
"You have no need to explain yourself to me!" Barbus explained. "I know what happened, and Im loving every single minute of the events that are unfolding infront of me"
Cole's head was about to burst from anger and desperation. Barbus walked towards him and knocked his feet from under him. As he fell, Cole knocked his head on a pew.

He woke to find himself in a dark cave again. When his eyes adjusted to the darkness he recognised the figure infront of him.
"Do you want to know why you'll get killed anyway?" The voice asked.
Cole tried to speak, but nothing came out besides a little squeak, which he immediately felt embarrased for as he saw an attractive looking female walking towards him.
"Here, let me help you up" She offered and extended her hand to help. Cole took the offer and pulled himself to his feet. He touched his head and felt a warm wet feel. He'd obviously banged his head hard on the fall.
"Who are you?" Cole asked the mysterious woman. He was puzzled. Barbus could pull off some tricks, but this one was just completely and utterly ridiculous.
"Im your Guardian Angel" she replied as she walked off to look inside a pot.
"Guardian Angel?" Cole laughed. "Im a demon, we dont have angels!"
"Oh alright, Im your Guardian Demon, but somehow that doesnt have the same ring to it, does it?" She said.
"What do you want?" He asked, he was ashamed at how he was reacting but he didnt care, he was far too tired, angry and distressed to bother about hurting a demons feelings.
"Come here and find out" she invited. Cole walked over to her, and looked at where she was pointing her finger.
"Dip your head in it" the woman demanded.
"No way!" Cole replied. For one, whatever was in the pot was bubbling, and two, it smelt like fish.
"Fine, as you wish..."
Cole barely had time to breathe as she placed a hand on the back of his head and pushed it into the liquid. He spluttered and tried to breathe, then realised that he could and relaxed a little bit.
What he saw was what looked like a very busy room, people bustling round everywhere.
"Ok! Whats the latest news?" Someone behind Cole shouted, causing him to jump.
"Well the weather is something!" Someone else called out, making other people laugh.
"Ok people, we need something exciting, something that hasnt happened before!"
Cole looked around at them, they looked familiar. He turned round to look at the rest of the room. He gasped. It was The Bay Mirror. Why has she brought me here? He wondered. Breaking him from his thoughts was a shout from outside the room, followed by people gasping and shouting back.
Another person came running through the door where Cole was. It was Elise.
"Phoebe's husband was seen materialising from nowhere in the hospital!" she informed the rest of the group. Coles jaw fell. He knew it hadnt gone unnoticed, but besides the dude in the hospital, he didnt think anyone else had seen.
Everyone jumped up and ran into the main room.
"We have to get an interview with Phoebe" Elise said as she tried to push through the crowd of people. "Her sister has just had a baby though, so be nice!" She shouted at some people as they ran through the exit.
Cole needed to do something. If this goes any further they'll have another fiasco on their hands like when Prue died. Cole felt the desperate need to get out of this dream that was happening, and he felt himself being pulled back. He fell back onto the hard floor, and immediately jumped back up.
"I need to find Phoebe and tell her" he said. "I need to" He began pacing round.
"Just wait one second" the woman told him. "This hasnt happened yet, but it is going to" Cole was confused.
"This is about 2 hours in the future. You have time from stopping it from happening." she informed him further.
"And how do I do that?" Cole asked.
"You must either kill the guy, or, inform the girls. Either way, your existence depends on it Belthazar"
"Oh no! Not again!" Cole groaned.

Knowing how much you love our half-demon, Sammi, I can imagine how hard it must be for you to torture him like that! Your Barbas is easiest one of the cruelest villains I've run into! How absolutely totally horrible can you get???

I got a giggle out of "the guardian demon". I wonder if Cole truly has one or if that's one of Barbas' tricks. When Elise announced that bit about someone seeing Cole appear from nowhere, it was "Oh, NO! Not All Hell Breaks Loose All Over Again!"

What a dilemma! If Cole kills that man he becomes more evil. If he tells Phoebe, she gets her sisters to vanquish him! Barbas was right; one way or the other, he dies. But somehow I agree with Phoebe_Halliwell--I think telling Phoebe and letting her sisters do it would be better than that long dark road to true evil.
