It assumes that neither Phoebe or Paige have found their dream men, that Leo is still a mortal and still with Piper and that the only visitors from the future have been Wyatt and Chris.

Okay, think about it. How many Halliwell women have actually been able to hold onto their men?

PHOEBE
So we're supposed to give up on trying to find love just because we might get hurt?

PENNY
Oh, no. You will get hurt. That's part of our legacy, too, unfortunately.


FLASHBACK: "Chris-Crossed" -- CHRIS HALLIWELL talking with BIANCA

CHRIS
Doesn't matter. There's nothing left in the future anymore, anyway.
(puts the engagement ring on the table)


FLASHBACK: "The Witch Is Back" -- MELINDA WARREN talking with MATTHEW TATE

MELINDA
So you've never loved me? All the passion, all the heat?

MATTHEW
I had to make you trust me. It was the only way to share your powers.

INT - MYSYTIC BOUTIQUE - DAY

ESTABLISHING SHOT: A small occult shop with all of the usual accruements. We can hear soft music, reminiscent of a waterfall with the occasional bird chirping mixed
in with other sounds of nature. No one appears to be around. We hear a jingling sound.

MEDIUM SHOT: The door opening to reveal a double-stroller carrying YOUNG WYATT HALLIWELL, aged 4, and YOUNG CHRIS, aged 2, coming through, pushed by PIPER.

PIPER
(looking around)
Oh, this is nice.

SPECIAL EFFECT: A small stone is TKed to WYATT

PIPER
(whispering)
Wyatt! Put that back right now!

SPECIAL EFFECT: The stone is returned to its original place.

PIPER
(frustrated)
How many times do I have to tell you? No magic in public!

SPECIAL EFFECT: The small stone is Tked to CHRIS

PIPER
(getting more frustrated)
Chris! Not you, too! Put it back, baby; put it back.
(Nothing happens)
Yeah, I know. You’re too young to understand.
(takes the stone from CHRIS and returns it, muttering)
Oh, why couldn’t you just be normal kids and why couldn’t I just have a normal life? OH!
(throws up her arms as if to freeze)

PIPER'S POV: In the corner of the shop, we see a GIRL, who looks to be about 16, sitting at a table, working a spirit board.

SPECIAL EFFECT: The pointer moves by itself as the GIRL writes the letters down.

PIPER
Excuse me. Is this your shop?

(The GIRL looks up, startled, and picks up a vial full of black liquid that‘s sitting on the table)

GIRL
Well, it’s actually my mother’s, but I work here on the weekend.

GIRL’S POV: PIPER walking towards her

PIPER
It‘s a very nice shop.

GIRL (o/s)
Thanks.

PIPER‘S POV: The pointer which continues to move.

GIRL (o/s)
That doesn’t scare you?

PIPER (o/s)
No, I’m a good witch, too. I’ve used spirit boards before.

CONTINUING THE SHOT: The pointer indicating the numbers 1685

PIPER (o/s)
Sixteen eighty-five.

CONTINUING PREVIOUS SHOT to show the tablet sitting next to the board. On it is written “MELINDA WARREN”

PIPER (o/s)
Omigod!

(MEDIUM SHOT: Both WOMEN)

GIRL
(a bit frightened, clutching the vial)
What do you want? Who are you?

PIPER
I’m Piper. I’m not going to hurt you. I told you, I’m a good witch, too. I just want to know--what do you know about Melinda Warren?

GIRL
I’m Rori, Rori Bowen. All I do know for sure is that she was born in 1670 in Richmond, Virginia.

PIPER
(astonished)
That would be her!

RORI
How do you know Melinda Warren?

PIPER
She was my great, great, great grandmother.

RORI
(setting the vial down)
Really? She was mine, too! Was Grace your grandmother?

PIPER
No, Penny was. What happened in 1685?

RORI
If I’m right, that’s when Melinda was cursed, and her whole line along with her.

INT - KITCHEN - EVENING

ESTABLISHING SHOT: PIPER is bustling around, finishing the preparations for dinner that include lasagna and garlic bread, while LEO WYATT sits at the table between CHRIS and WYATT, who are in their high chairs. PAIGE is helping set the table, while PHOEBE is sitting on the countertop, swinging her legs.

MEDIUM SHOT: All three SISTERS

PHOEBE
Let me get this straight. The reason our love lives are always such a wreck is because we are cursed? Literally?

PIPER
(nodding)
So Rori says. And she’s done a lot of research.

PAIGE
And Rori’s related to us how?

PIPER
From what we can tell, she’s our fourth cousin. Phoebe, remember those three cousins from the 20’s?

PHOEBE
(shuddering)
How could I forget?

PAIGE
Huh?

FLASHBACK: From "Pardon My Past": PAST PRUE and PAST PIPER strangling PAST PHOEBE

PHOEBE (o/s)
Before your time, sweetie. I was once drawn back in time where I saw Prue, Piper and myself as cousins, but I was evil, and they killed me.

MEDIUM SHOT: EVERYONE

PAIGE
(shuddering)
Oh, that would be scary. I‘m glad we‘re all good now.

PHOEBE
Me, too. Even if I had a kick-a$$ power!

PIPER
Well, according to Rori, we’re descended from one of the cousins who survived; Rori is descended from the other.

PAIGE
Well, that‘s great and everything, but how do we know this Whatever-Her-Name-Is was even telling the truth?

LEO
You don't, but given all the problems Piper and I had getting together and then staying together, the problems you two have had finding love, even Victor and Patty’s failed marriage and Grams with all of hers, even Melinda Warren herself, I tend to--

(We hear the doorbell)

PIPER
Speaking of
(smirking at PAIGE, who wrinkles her nose back)
Whatever-her-name-is, that's probably her now. I invited her over for dinner.

PHOEBE
(jumping down from the counter)
I’ll get it.
(exits into the Conservatory)

PAIGE
Any idea who cast the Curse?

LEO
I’m guessing it was Ruth.

PAIGE
Ruth?

PIPER
Yeah, she’s the one who tried to kill us when we went to the past before.

PAIGE
(sighing)
You guys sure have time-traveled a lot.

PIPER
(sighing)
Too much.

(PHOEBE and RORI enter.)

RORI’S POV: The food on the table

RORI (o/s)
Wow! Lasagna! You really went all out! Thanks for inviting me.

MEDIUM SHOT: Everyone

PIPER
(pointing)
These are my sisters, Phoebe and Paige

(PHOEBE and PAIGE nod)

PIPER
(continuing)
And my husband, Leo

(LEO nods)

PIPER
(continuing)
You've met Wyatt and Chris, our sons.

RORI
Yeah, what cute kids!

PIPER and LEO
Thank you.

SPECIAL EFFECT: A DEMON shimmers in

PIPER
(frustrated, whining)
Can’t I even serve a dinner for company without being interrupted by demons?
(throws up her hands as if to explode the DEMON)

PIPER’S POV: The DEMON, growling.

PIPER (o/s)
(shocked)
He didn’t explode!

CONTINUING SHOT: The DEMON lighting an energy ball and throwing it at RORI.

MEDIUM SHOT: PHOEBE pushes RORI out of the way.

CLOSEUP: PHOEBE reacts as if she’s having a premonition, but we don’t see what it is.

CLOSEUP: PAIGE

PAIGE
(thrusting out her hands)
Energy ball!

SPECIAL EFFECT: The energy ball orbs to PAIGE, who redirects it back towards the DEMON, who steps out of the way.

CLOSEUP: RORI

RORI
(chanting)
Demon born of night
Filled with all his might
Cannot stand to fight
Take him from my sight.

RORI’S POV: The DEMON flinches.

SPECIAL EFFECT: The DEMON sends another energy ball at RORI

THE DEMON’S POV: Rori, jumping out of the way.

RORI
Dammit! I need Mom with me!

CLOSEUP: PHOEBE

PHOEBE
Let me try.
(chanting)
Demon born of night
Filled with all his might
Cannot stand to fight
Take him from my sight.

SPECIAL EFFECT: The DEMON is vanquished with a small poof

MEDIUM SHOT: The SISTERS and RORI

PAIGE
(impressed)
Not a bad spell.

RORI
(shrugging)
It was just a simple Hellbender demon. Usually just takes two witches saying it together.

PHOEBE
(grinning)
Or one Charmed One.

RORI
(shocked)
Charmed One? Ohmigod! You’re the Halliwells!

PHOEBE
(bowing)
At your service!

PAIGE
But we might be dead Charmed Ones without that nifty spell of yours!

RORI
(blushing)
Oh, Mom makes me study our Book of Shadows along with my homework.

PIPER
(grinning)
I think I like your Book. No messy demon goo! No clean-up. Let’s eat!

PHOEBE
(seriously)
It's not over yet. Maybe that one was just to keep us occupied.

LEO
What do you mean?

PHOEBE
When I shoved her out of the way, I had a premonition of what looked like Shax, just more, I don't know, more flowy and orangy. And there was a woman who looked like Rori but older and a man with red hair--

RORI
(panicking)
Mom! Dad! I gotta go home!

PIPER
(putting her hands on RORI'S shoulder)
Hold on, you're staying here. We'll take care of this.

RORI
(shaking off PIPER'S hands, seriously pissed)
If you think I am going to sit around while my parents are in trouble, you are out of your freaking mind! Besides, you don't even know where I live.

PAIGE
She's got a point. I can orb, but I can't orb blind.

LEO
(protesting)
Wait a minute. You're not seriously going to go in there half-cocked?

PHOEBE
(demanding)
What are we supposed to do? Just let the demon kill them?

LEO
You don't even know what you're up against. You have no potion, no spell--

PAIGE
(placating)
So we go in, get Rori's parents, and come back here for research.

(CHRIS begins to cry)

RORI
(glaring at PIPER)
You should stay with your kids.

LEO
(sighing as he picks up CHRIS)
They’re my kids, too. You guys go. I’ll stay with the boys.

(PAIGE takes RORI and PHOEBE's hands, and PHOEBE takes PIPER'S.)

PAIGE
Think of where your parents would be, and I'll take us there.

RORI
OK

SPECIAL EFFECT: The SISTERS and RORI orb out

LEO
(as they orb out)
Just be careful!


INT - BOWEN KITCHEN - EVENING

ESTABLISHING SHOT: JAMES BOWEN and SYLIVA BOWEN are eating dinner.

SPECIAL EFFECT: The SISTERS and RORI orb in.

SYLVIA
(hopping up)
Demon!
(takes a vial, full of black liquid, that’s sitting on the table, and prepares to throw it)

RORI
(screaming, running to her PARENTS)
Mom! No! Don't! But we gotta get out of here!

SPECIAL EFFECTS: FAX, the demon of PHOEBE's premonition, shimmers in. HE smirks a Shax-like smirk, then raises his arms. In an instant, the room is engulfed in flames, just as if it had been drenched in gasoline. PAIGE runs to the BOWENS and orbs them out, then orbs back in.

PHOEBE
(chanting)
Demon filled with ire
Trying to kill us with your fire
No longer may you dwell
Death takes you with this spell!

THE CHARMED ONES
(chanting)
Demon filled with ire

SPECIAL EFFECTS: FAX is vanquished, just like SHAX was. PAIGE takes PIPER and PHOEBE's hands and THEY orb out.


INT - LIVING ROOM - EVENING

ESTABLISHING SHOT: LEO is holding both WYATT and CHRIS, while JAMES and SYLVIA are sitting on the couch, still shaken.

SPECIAL EFFECT: The SISTERS and RORI orb in.

JAMES
(jumping up)
Rori! Are you OK?

RORI
(running to and hugging JAMES)
I’m fine, Dad, thanks to the Charmed Ones!

SYLVIA
The demon?

PHOEBE
(grinning)
Gone!

PIPER
(apologetically)
But unfortunately, so is your house.

JAMES
(losing it)
Sylvi, Rori, I’m sorry; I’m sorry, I love you both, really I do, but I just can’t take this any more. I’ve gotta go!
(runs out the door towards the Great Hall)

RORI
(desperately)
Daddy!

SYLIVA
(desperately)
James!

(We can hear the front door slam. Both SYLVIA and RORI begin to weep, while the HALLIWELLS attempt to comfort them)

PIPER
Sylvia, why don’t you just lie down? Hopefully he’ll come back when he calms down.

SYLVIA
(still weeping)
No, he’s gone too many times before. I don’t think he’ll come back this time.

LEO
I’ll help her upstairs and put the boys to bed. You girls figure out what to do. But don't do anything rash!
(leads SYLVIA out the door towards the Great Hall.)

RORI
What can we do? Mom's right! He’s not going to come back! He’s not going to come back! I’ve lost my dad!

PIPER
(reaching to rub RORI's back)
I’m sorry, honey, but it’s like I’ve always said. As Halliwells, we’re blessed as witches, but cursed as women.

RORI
(looking up, her tear-drenched eyes growing big)
So the women on your side of the family can’t hold onto love either? I thought it was just the Bowen side.

PHOEBE
(sighing)
Nope, and it’s not just us. Our dad left our mom when we were all very young. He‘s only recently come back into our lives.

RORI
Yeah, like my dad. He and Mom have been separated more than they’ve been together, or we'd be with him on his archeology trips to Egypt. And that’s why Mom opened the shop, so we’d have money. But I've never seen Dad so scared! This latest breakup looks permanent!

PAIGE
(upset)
At least you had your parents. My parents died when I was 16.

PHOEBE
Well, at least you got to know your Mom! Ours died when I was three! I didn’t remember her at all until we got to see her in the past!

PAIGE
(nodding, but still upset)
Well, she was my mom, too, and I didn’t get to know her at all! I wouldn’t have even been one when she died!

(If all of this has confused RORI, she shows no sign.)

RORI
My grandma died when my mom was very young. So I never got to know her at all.

PHOEBE
(smiling)
At least we got to have Grams through most of our lives. But she was married seven times!

RORI
Yeah, after your grandfather died, your grandmother stole my grandpa from her very own second-cousin, my grandma! And they were really close up to that point! But my grandpa was your grandmother‘s second husband!

PHOEBE
(grinning)
Sounds like Grams!

PIPER
(protesting)
Phoebe!

PHOEBE
(shrugging)
Well, it does.

RORI
Well, thanks to that, my grandma died of a broken heart! That’s why the Bowens have had nothing to do with the Halliwells until you came in the shop. We gotta end that Curse!

PAIGE
(curious)
How do you know about the Curse anyway?

RORI
(shrugging)
The story’s in our Book of Shadows.

PIPER
Well, it’s not in ours.
(she pauses for a moment)
Or at least we haven’t found it yet.

PAIGE
(shaking her head)
It's not there. I've looked through the whole thing--remember? I color-coded it?

PIPER
You mean you defaced it!

PAIGE
I did not!

RORI
It only recently showed up, as if someone just recently added it, after I started researching Melinda Warren.

PAIGE
Well, maybe it's in ours, too!
(holding out her arms)
Book of Shadows!

SPECIAL EFFECT: The Book orbs into PAIGE's arms

RORI
Cool! I wish I could do that!

PHOEBE
(grinning)
Me, too!

(PAIGE sets the Book on the coffee table and begins hunting through it.)

RORI
According to our Book, a curse was placed on Melinda Warren by an evil woman named--

PIPER and PHOEBE
Ruth!

RORI
How do you know her?

PHOEBE
We time-traveled back one Halloween. Ruth was trying to stop Melinda from even being born!

PIPER
I don’t think so, Phoebs. If that is what they wanted, they would have simply killed Charlotte.
(looking at PAIGE and RORI)
Melinda's mother. Yet, we were able to save her and Melinda.
(She pauses, thinking)
Now I remember what Eva said. Ruth planned to raise Melinda evil! Then she added some crap about magic never flourishing in the new world.

PHOEBE
(nodding)
Yeah, that's right.

RORI
(also nodding)
That's why Ruth cursed her on her birthday, on Halloween. It’s part of why Melinda was such a powerful witch.

PIPER and PHOEBE
Of course! The power of All Hallow’s Eve!

(RORI nods)

PIPER
That’s how we were able to time travel.

RORI
The one thing our Book didn‘t tell me was on which Halloween. That‘s why I was using the spirit board. Ruth cursed her on her sixteenth birthday!

PAIGE
(triumphant)
I found it! And there’s a spell in here to end it!

RORI
(leaning over to look at the Book)
That doesn't look like the same writing in our Book.

PHOEBE
Mom!

PIPER
Doesn’t look like Mom’s handwriting. Doesn’t look like Grams' either.

PHOEBE
Who cares who wrote it? It's here, so let’s cast it! We end the Curse, and maybe I’ll find my daughter’s father!

PAIGE
Maybe Kyle will come back!

PIPER
Leo and I wouldn‘t have to worry about the Elders trying to separate us again!

RORI
(sighing)
Yeah, yeah, and Dad will come back and Mom and Dad will stay together forever. Sorry, guys, but that spell is in our Book, too. We can't cast it.

PAIGE
(sighing)
She’s right. It requires blood.

PHOEBE
No problem!
(takes an athame from her boot and prepares to slice her finger)

PIPER
Put that thing back!

(PHOEBE returns her athame to her boot)

PAIGE
She’s right. It has to be the blood of the one who cast the Curse.

PHOEBE
So let’s start scrying for Ruth! I’d love to vanquish that b*tch’s a$$!

RORI
(mournfully)
Can’t. She was burnt alive 300 years ago.

PAIGE
(curious)
How do you know all of this?

RORI
(shrugging)
I told you. My mom made me study our Book of Shadows. When I did my schoolwork, she also made me do what she called my ‘witchwork‘, by memorizing a few pages. So I know most of it by heart.

PIPER
(smiling)
Well, I’m glad she did.

(PAIGE and PHOEBE nod.)

PIPER
(continuing)
I wish Mom or Grams had done that for us. Of course, they didn’t want us to know we were witches.

RORI
(shrugging again)
Well, Mom figured that since we don’t have any active powers to battle evil, we better know how to use our powers as witches with spells and potions, so we could protect ourselves.

PHOEBE
(smiling)
I‘m going to make sure to teach my daughter.
(sighing impatiently)
If I ever find her father.
(grins at PIPER)
Chris knew spells. We must’ve taught him, I mean, we will teach him; I mean, I mean, I still hate time travel!

(Again if this is confusing RORI, she shows no sign)

PIPER
Not me. I wish we could time-travel now! But it won’t be Halloween for months!

PHOEBE
Why would you want to time-travel?

PIPER
(snapping)
So we can break this Curse.

CLOSEUP: PIPER rolls her eyes at PHOEBE

MEDIUM SHOT: The SISTERS and RORI

PIPER
(continuing, speaking very slowly, as if talking to a half-wit)
If we could time-travel, we could go back to before Melinda was 16 and get some of Ruth’s blood. Then we could cast that spell and maybe I wouldn’t have to worry about Leo leaving me again!

PHOEBE
Well, we can! We’ve done it before!

PIPER
(sighing)
C'mon, Phoebs, you said it yourself--the life expectancy of the average witch back in that time was about 15 seconds.

PHOEBE
(proudly)
We are not average witches. We're the Charmed Ones!

(PAIGE nods, too.)

PIPER
Yeah, but when we’d get back there, we wouldn’t have our powers. We were able to survive as just witches that other time, but that was with Eva’s help. I’m not sure we could do it without her, not with all those witch hunters.

RORI
(nodding)
The witch hunters got most of the witches.

PAIGE
Well, Melinda must’ve survived, or we wouldn’t all be here!

RORI
(nodding again)
She survived by using her powers; that is why Ruth cursed her rather than killed her.

PHOEBE
Well, she didn't live long anyway!

RORI
(again nodding)
Yep, ironically the Curse still ultimately destroyed her! She fell in love with--

PIPER
The warlock, Mathew Tate, who just wanted to steal her powers.

PHOEBE
(excited)
Yeah! Yeah! So we go back and ask her for help! I’d love to see Melinda again!

PIPER
(shaking her head)
No, we don’t want to put her in danger, coz that would put our existence in danger. We’re better off doing this ourselves, if we could do it. But we can‘t without powers.

RORI
Guys.

PIPER
(continuing)
We could use those things Eva taught us to overcome the witch hunters, but not Ruth! She‘s too powerful.

RORI
(louder)
Guys!

PHOEBE
Well, Chris came back with his powers! So it can be done.

RORI
(interrupting)
Guys! I‘ve been trying to tell you. There‘s a spell in our Book about time-traveling and keeping your powers. I was going to use it to go back. I thought it just meant I’d still be able to cast spells and use my potions. I just needed the year. But it will be even better with the Charmed Ones and your powers!

PAIGE
Well, cast away!

PIPER
(shaking her head)
Even with our powers, I’m not sure we could get close enough to Ruth to cut her.

PHOEBE
(pouting)
Too bad we don’t have an invisibility spell or potion.

RORI
(surprised)
You mean you don’t?

PHOEBE
(just as surprised)
You mean you do?

RORI
Sure. Mom brews it. There's some vials of it at the shop right now.

PAIGE
(reaching her hand towards RORI)
Well, what are we waiting for? Halloween?

Of course I still like it- it's very well done. I wish the actual show would do a final episode with so many refrences to the past...how it began is how it should end...

INT - ATTIC -- EVENING

ESTABLISHING SHOT: PIPER and PHOEBE are using chalk to draw a large Triquetra on the wall.

SPECIAL EFFECT: PAIGE and RORI orb in; RORI holding two vials full of yellow liquid.

PIPER
Two? There’s four of us.

RORI
(apologetically)
That’s all Mom had brewed up. Figuring a vial for her and a vial for me. This stuff takes awhile to brew and does not stay potent very long once you uncork the vial, so she usually makes a new batch after we use the old one.

PIPER
(nodding)
Well, at least we have two vials And once we get the blood, we should come right back here, so Leo and the boys and your mom should be OK.

RORI
Mom can protect them. She's better with spells than I am.

PAIGE
(nodding)
Fantastic! Well, then, cast away, Rori!

RORI
(chanting)
Now turn back the hours
But let us keep our powers
Take us back to Richmond soon
In October, 1624, just before noon.

(Nothing happens.)

RORI
Rats! I need Mom! But she‘s never wanted me to do this. She thinks it‘s too dangerous.

PIPER
(grinning)
Yeah, Leo would think it‘s too dangerous, too.

THEIR POV: People dressed in 1620’s outfits, gathering and preparing for a bazaar.

(PHOEBE pulls the OTHER WOMEN back deeper into the woods. She spreads her arms)

PHOEBE
Uh, guys, aren’t we going to be a bit conspicuous?

PIPER
(moaning)
Oh, no! We forgot to change into 17th century clothes first! Man, I hate time travel!

PHOEBE
(grinning)
Well, at least we have our powers this time, thanks to Rori's spell!

PAIGE
(grinning)
Yeah, watch this!

SPECIAL EFFECT: As PAIGE passes her hand over her outfit, it turns into the appropriate one.

RORI
Cool!
(holding up her vial)
And I can walk right into the square. I just hope it lasts long enough.

PIPER
Phoebe, you take the other vial. I can use my active powers to keep me out of trouble.

PHOEBE
OK

RORI
(hands PHOEBE the other vial)
But do not open it until you are ready to drink it and only when it's necessary. I don’t know how long it will stay potent.

(PHOEBE nods, as she places the vial in her pocket)

PIPER
Paige, since you’re dressed properly and Ruth has never seen you, why don’t you go wander around and see if you can hear anything about where Ruth is?

(PAIGE nods and exits through the woods into the square, off-screen)

RORI
(eagerly)
Well, why don't I just drink my potion and walk right into her house? She will never see me. And I can slice her and we can go home and cast the spell and she would never even know we were here!

PIPER
(shaking her head)
No. See those silver talismans in the trees near the house?

PIPER‘S POV: The silver talismans

RORI (o/s)
Yeah?

PIPER (o/s)
They’re an alarm system. I think they may sense you even if you were invisible.

RORI (o/s)
Oh! I'm glad I didn't go alone!

MEDIUM SHOT: The SISTERS and RORI

PHOEBE
(nodding)
Too bad we don’t have a broom. Remember how Eva showed us how to use one against the talismans?

PIPER
Well, we don’t have one, so we’ll just have to think of something else.

RORI
(muttering)
I sure hope Paige has more success than we are!


EXT - THE SQUARE - DAY

ESTABLISHING SHOT: PAIGE as she wanders around the square. Suddenly A MAN holding a bucket accidentally bumps into PAIGE.

SPECIAL EFFECT: The bucket tips and spills scalding hot water. But before it can burn PAIGE, she automatically panic-orbs.

SPECIAL EFFECT: Paige reappears in a flurry of orbs closer to the trees with the talismans.

THE MAN
(pointing at PAIGE, screaming)
Witch!

HIS POV: PAIGE hopping to her feet and starting to run towards the woods, but A BUNCH OF BURLY MEN begin chasing her towards the house.

(screaming)

PIPER and PHOEBE‘s POV: A COUPLE OF BURLY MEN grab PAIGE. PAIGE tries to orb, but has no success.

CLOSEUP: PIPER flinging out her arms

PIPER's POV: PAIGE and HER CAPTORS--PIPER‘S powers have no effect.

MEDIUM SHOT: PIPER and PHOEBE

(screaming)
We’re too close to the talismans! They’re negating our powers!

THEIR POV: THE BUNCH OF BURLY MEN step aside and RUTH, looking as mean and angry as ever, steps out.

RUTH
(pointing an accusing finger at PIPER and PHOEBE)
Witches! Grab them!

RUTH’S POV: MORE BURLY MEN grab PHOEBE and PIPER. PIPER struggles, but has no success.

CLOSEUP: PHOEBE's knee connecting with BURLY MAN #1’s nuts. We hear a scream.

CLOSEUP: PHOEBE's elbow connecting with BURLY MAN #2’s stomach. We hear an “Oof!”

MEDIUM SHOT: BURLY MAN #1 reeling in agony, while BURLY MAN #2 tries to slug PHOEBE, but SHE runs off, towards the woods.

RUTH (o/s)
(screaming)
Get her! Get her!


EXT - WOODS - DAY

CLOSEUP: PHOEBE running into the woods, then we hear the sounds of horses coming.

PHOEBE
(panting)
No, no! How do I get away?

RORI's VOICE
Phoebe! The potion!

PHOEBE
(panting)
Oh!

(PHOEBE stops, takes the vial out of her pocket, uncorks it and drinks from it.)

PHOEBE's POV: Horses riding right passed her.

RORI's VOICE
That was kinda dumb.

PHOEBE's VOICE
(a shrug in her tone)
Well, we found Ruth, didn’t we?

RORI's VOICE
(we can almost hear her eyes rolling)
Yeah, but we lost Paige and Piper! What will they do to them?

PHOEBE's VOICE
Last time they tried hanging us.

RORI's VOICE
(not as close)
Well, they are trying something different this time. Look!


EXT - THE SQUARE - DAY

MEDIUM SHOT: BURLY MEN are tying PAIGE and PIPER to stakes in the middle of the square, while others are piling green wood beneath their feet.

PHOEBE's VOICE
(screaming)

PHOEBE's POV: Same as before, the BURLY MEN tying PAIGE and PIPER to stakes in the middle of the square while other as piling green wood beneath their feet. We still hear PHOEBE's scream of “NO!” as her view of PAIGE and PIPER grows larger, as if she is starting to run towards them.

RORI's VOICE
Phoebe, no! Think! Piper couldn't freeze! Won’t we become visible?

PHOEBE's VOICE
I don’t think so. It’s those talismans. And those stakes are on the other side of the square from where Paige panic-orbed. The stakes must be far enough away from the talismans. C’mon! Hurry! Look!

PHOEBE's POV: TWO MEN holding burning torches walking towards the stakes. The stakes grow closer as if PHOEBE and RORI are running towards them.

RUTH
(screeching)
Burn the witches! Burn them! Burn them!

SPECIAL EFFECT: The stakes, now much closer. The TWO MEN light the wood, and smoke and flames leap high. We can hear PIPER and PAIGE screaming in terror, off-screen.

PHOEBE's VOICE
Free Paige!

PHOEBE's POV: The back of PIPER’S stake--we can see her hair, her clothes and the ropes tying her to the stake. We can also see the fire burning and hear PIPER and PAIGE still screaming.

SPECIAL EFFECT: Now we can see PHOEBE's athame, although we can not see her hand. The athame cuts the ropes binding PIPER to the stake. The camera moves so we can see another athame (RORI's) slicing PAIGE's bonds.

CLOSE-UP: PIPER, as she looks around

PIPER
Phoebe? Rori?

PHOEBE's VOICE
Yeah, it’s us! Now run!

MEDIUM SHOT: PIPER and PAIGE running towards the woods.

CLOSEUP of a very angry RUTH

RUTH
(screeching)
Grab them! Kill them!

RUTH‘S POV: The BURLY MEN running after PIPER and PAIGE. THEY soon catch them and bring them back.

SPECIAL EFFECT: PHOEBE's athame is seen going to RUTH‘S throat, although we still can‘t see PHOEBE's hand.

PHOEBE's VOICE
(demanding)
Tell them to let the witches go or I’ll gladly slit your throat!

RUTH
(resigned)
Let the witches go!

SPECIAL EFFECT: as RUTH shouts, we see a closeup of PHOEBE's athame making a small slit in RUTH’S arm, just enough to let some blood drip into the vial that had held the invisibility potion. At first the blood begins to fade out, but then it becomes bright red again, but PHOEBE's hand also becomes visible as the invisibility potion wears off.

CLOSEUP: RORI, also visible, terrified.

RORI
(screaming a warning)
Phoebe!

MEDIUM SHOT: PHOEBE and RUTH -- PHOEBE ducks out of the way as we see a sword that was meant to stab PHOEBE, stab RUTH instead. RUTH screams as she dies. All of the BURLY MEN and TOWNSPEOPLE scream their horror, while PHOEBE and RORI run for the woods.

EXT - THE ALTAR - DAY

ESTABLISHING SHOT: The Wiccan altar seen in "All Halliwell's Eve". First PIPER and PAIGE run out of the woods and stop at the altar, soon followed by PHOEBE and RORI.

CLOSEUP of PHOEBE, looking at the altar and grinning.

PHOEBE
Talk about your déjà vu!

CLOSEUP of PIPER grinning, too.

CLOSEUP of PHOEBE holding up the vial

PHOEBE
I got the blood! Let’s go back and cast that spell!

(apologetically)
But I don’t know how to get back. I only knew how to come back here. I thought after I changed stuff that I’d go right back home.

PIPER
I thought we would, too, but afraid not.
(looking at PHOEBE)
Think the spell that Mom and Grams used to send us home from the seventies should work?

PHOEBE
Sure, but we’ll probably need the Power of Three.

PAIGE
Say it once; I’ll catch on.

PIPER
Hold hands, so we all go together.

(The four WOMEN hold hands)

PIPER and PHOEBE
(chanting)

(chanting)

SPECIAL EFFECT: All 4 WOMEN sparkle out and become four sparks of light. But when they take off, only two take off, the other two fizzle.

INT - THE ATTIC - DAY

SPECIAL EFFECT: The two sparks of light appear and form into PIPER and PHOEBE

(Both WOMEN begin to look around)

Paige and Rori aren’t the only things missing! Look!

(PIPER's POV: the empty pedestal)

PHOEBE (o/s)
(also scared)
Oh, my God! Where’s the Book of Shadows? What’s going on around here?

PIPER
I don’t know, but we better go find out.


INT - THE HALLWAY - DAY

ESTABLISHING SHOT: The hallway between PIPER and PHOEBE's bedroom, We can hear a male voice coming from PIPER's room, but we can‘t tell who it is.

MEDIUM SHOT: PIPER and PHOEBE coming down the stairs.

PIPER
I really want to change my clothes.

PHOEBE
Yeah, they do smell kinda smoky. I wonder if we broke the Curse. I’m gonna go check my room, see if I can tell.

PIPER
OK.

(Both WOMEN walk into their rooms. We follow PHOEBE into hers.)


INT - PHOEBE'S BEDROOM - DAY

ESTABLISHING SHOT: The room looks the same as always, but there are definitely signs of a man’s presence--a man’s clothes on the floor, his shoes under the bed, a briefcase on a chair, etc. Each time we see one of these signs, we hear PHOEBE's “ooh” in delight.

CLOSEUP: PHOEBE’s dresser. There’s a picture on it, but we can’t tell who’s in the picture. The dresser gets bigger as PHOEBE gets closer. But then our view (and hers) goes up, as we see her reflection in the mirror. Her hair is a mess. Her reflection shakes her head in disgust as she picks up a brush and begins brushing her hair.

SPECIAL EFFECT: Suddenly we hear and see a shimmering behind PHOEBE

PHOEBE
(screaming)
Demon!

CLOSEUP: PHOEBE, as she spins around and karate-kicks as hard as she can. We see her foot connect with a shirt and then the shirt goes flying.

PHOEBE’s POV: COLE TURNER flying backwards, the dozen red roses he was holding scattering on the floor.

COLE
(grinning)
Sorry, didn’t mean to startle you.

MEDIUM SHOT: COLE and PHOEBE

PHOEBE
(still in her karate pose, infuriated, screaming)
Get out! I don’t know how you managed to come back from Hell, but I’ll vanquish you a million times if I have to!

COLE
(staring at her, hurt and shock on his face and in his voice)
Phoebe! What’s wrong? I love you! You love me!

PHOEBE
(completely losing it)
Love you? I hate you! You totally disgust me! No matter what you do, I will never get back with you! I’d rather die! Now leave!

SPECIAL EFFECT: COLE, a tear in his eyes and pain on his face, shimmers out.

PHOEBE
(spinning back towards her mirror)
What is going on around here?

PHOEBE’s POV: Her dresser and the picture. We see her reflection picking it up.


INT - HALLWAY - DAY

ESTABLISHING SHOT: The empty hallway between PIPER’s & PHOEBE’s rooms. A beat. Suddenly we hear both SISTERS scream, as they both run out, each carrying a picture.

PHOEBE
(showing her picture)
Piper, look! According to this, I’m still married to Cole! How could that possibly happen?

PIPER
(showing her picture)
Well, look at this! According to this, I’m married to Dan!

PHOEBE
(shocked)
What?!

PIPER
(nodding)
That was him in there. He started kissing me, but I pushed him away. He wasn’t happy and we started yelling and soon he just walked out. I heard the front door slam just as I found this on the dresser.

PHOEBE
(giggling)
At least you didn’t karate-kick him!

CLOSEUP of PIPER‘s rueful smile.

MEDIUM SHOT: Both PIPER and PHOEBE

PHOEBE
(bewildered)
What is going on around here?

PIPER
I don’t know. But I hear voices downstairs. Maybe it’s Paige and Rori, and maybe they’ve figured it out.


INT - DOORWAY - DAY

ESTABLISHING SHOT: The doorway into the kitchen, looking into the conservatory.

MEDIUM SHOT: PIPER and PHOEBE walk from the conservatory into the doorway. There, THEY stop and stare in shock.


INT - KITCHEN - DAY

ESTABLISHING SHOT: PATTY is sitting at the kitchen table, reading the paper and sipping coffee. But unlike the PATTY we’ve seen in the past, she’s not a ghost. She looks to be about the same age as SYLVIA, 20 years older than the SISTERS, with a silver streak in her shorter hair. There is an empty high chair standing next to her chair.

PIPER and PHOEBE (o/s)
(ecstatic)
Mom!

MEDIUM SHOT: The SISTERS run to PATTY and hug her tight.

PATTY
(laughing)
Well, good morning to you two, too! What brought this on?

PIPER
We’re just so glad to see you!

VICTOR (o/s)
(laughing)
Well, it’s not like you didn’t just see her yesterday.

THE SISTERS’ POV: VICTOR standing at the stove, making French toast.

CLOSEUP: The ring on PATTY‘S finger and the matching one on VICTOR‘S.

MEDIUM SHOT: EVERYONE

PHOEBE
(whispering to PIPER)
It worked! We broke the Curse!
(runs to VICTOR and hugs him)
Good to see you again, too, Daddy!

VICTOR
Well, pull up a chair; breakfast is ready.

PATTY
(standing up and then reaching down.)
Breakfast time, sweetie.

(PATTY lifts up a pretty little dark-haired GIRL, who‘s about two, and sets her in the high chair. Both PIPER and PHOEBE stare at her, and PIPER smiles, mouthing the word, “Melinda!” at PHOEBE, who nods back.)

(THEY sit down and begin to eat.)

PHOEBE
Mom, Dad, where’s the Book of Shadows? It’s not in the attic.

(VICTOR and PATTY exchange looks)

PATTY
(resigned)
The Source has it now. Don’t you remember?

PIPER
(firmly)
Then we’ll just steal it back.

(PHOEBE nods)

VICTOR
(confused)
How can you do that without the Power of Three?

PHOEBE
(just as confused)
We have the Power of Three.

PATTY
(shaking her head)
No, you haven’t, honey. Not since the Source had Prue killed and almost killed Piper!

PHOEBE
(More confused than ever)
What about Paige? Where is she, anyway?

PATTY
Who?

PHOEBE
You know, Paige, our half-sister.

VICTOR
(infuriated)
Half-sister? How could you have a half-sister?

PIPER
(shrugging, matter-of-factly)
From when Mom had her affair with Sam.

VICTOR
(screaming in horror)
What?!

PATTY
(firmly shaking her head)
No, I did not have an affair. Not with Sam. Not with anyone. I wouldn’t. I couldn’t. I love your father much too much, and he loves me.

(PATTY stands up, walks over to VICTOR, puts her arms around him and begins hugging and kissing him, as HE hugs and kisses HER back.)

(PIPER and PHOEBE exchange embarrassed smiles; this is something they’ve never seen before.)

SPECIAL EFFECT: We hear that shimmering again and soon COLE is standing behind PHOEBE, putting his arms around her.

COLE
(amorously)
I know you were only kidding before. They give you any ideas?

PHOEBE
(gasping in horror, then spinning away from COLE, screaming)
Can’t you take a hint? Don’t touch me!

VICTOR
(shocked)
Phoebe!

COLE
(shocked, hurt)
Phoebe! What the hell is wrong with you?

PHOEBE
(insistent, still very pissed)
Nothing! I just don’t want to be with you anymore!

COLE
(more shocked, more hurt)
What? You don’t mean that.

PHOEBE
(insistent, still very pissed)
Oh, yes, I do!
(jumps up and grabs a steak knife, pointing it at COLE)
Don’t come near me!

PATTY
(shocked, commanding)
Phoebe! Put that thing down before you hurt someone!

(PHOEBE puts the knife back on the counter)

PIPER
(only one who‘s still using her normal voice, glaring at COLE)
She’s right, Mom. I don’t know what he’s done to fool you, but he’s evil. He’s tried to kill us many times.

(VICTOR steps towards COLE in a threatening manner, while COLE puts up his hands in a surrendering manner.)

PATTY
(totally confused)
When was this?

COLE
(putting his hands down, very sarcastically)
Oh, probably the same time as your affair with Sam.

(PHOEBE screams in frustration, reaches out, grabs the frying pan VICTOR was using to make the French toast and throws it at COLE.)

PHOEBE
(screaming, as she throws it)
Get out now!

SPECIAL EFFECT: COLE shimmers out just before the pan would've hit him and instead it hits the cupboard with a thud.

PATTY
(glaring at PHOEBE, scolding, very angry)
I don't know what's wrong with you, young lady, but you have to stop making up stories! I did not have an affair with Sam, and Cole has not tried to hurt any of us! Not since we put the Hollow back. Now I suggest you go find Cole and apologize this instant!

(PHOEBE huffs in self-righteous frustration as LITTLE GIRL begins fussing.)

LITTLE GIRL
Mama!

PIPER
(reaching out for LITTLE GIRL)
Come here, Melinda.

(LITTLE GIRL turns away from PIPER to face PHOEBE)

LITTLE GIRL
(reaching out for PHOEBE)
Mama!

PHOEBE
(her biggest shock yet)
Mama? Me?

PATTY
Phoebe! Now don’t tell me you don’t recognize your own daughter!

PHOEBE
(still not really comprehending)
Daughter? Melinda’s mine?

VICTOR
Melinda? Who's Melinda? That’s Nicki--Nicole. You named her after her father, remember?

(PHOEBE reaches out and hugs NICKI, who settles down, as PHOEBE stares at her, first in shock and then in love)

PHOEBE
(finally saying his name without screaming it)
Nicole? Mine and Cole’s?

PIPER
(also staring at NICKI)
Mom, Dad, where are my sons?

VICTOR
(staring at his DAUGHTERS as if they’ve each sprouted an extra head.)
There haven’t been any males born to the Warren line in centuries.

PATTY
(shaking her head in confusion)
Piper, not you, too! You were always the sensible one! The next thing you're going to say is that Leo is the Source of All Evil!

PIPER
(whimpering)
Leo? Where's Leo?

PATTY
(pointing up, matter-of-factly)
Up There, just like he's always been. He's Sam's boss, the Chief Elder.

PIPER
(This is the last straw for her, as she loses it)
No! This is all wrong! Leo was a whitelighter! Our whitelighter!

PATTY
(gently insistent)
No, sweetie. Sam has been our family whitelighter all of your life!

PIPER
(screaming, seriously pissed)
No! No! Leo was our whitelighter! I love him! He loves me! I chose him as my husband, not Dan! We got married! We have two sons! Wyatt and Chris!

VICTOR
(trying to make sense out of this)
Is that why Dan ran out the door? I think both of you girls need to apologize to your husbands!

PATTY
(very gently)
Honey, Elders and witches do not get married. Just like witches do not have affairs with their whitelighters. Just like you and Dan are very happy together, even if you don't have any kids. Don't you remember? After we took the Hollow out of Cole and put it back in the box, the Angel of Destiny gave all of us a chance to live your fondest dream, Piper--we gave up our powers so we could all live a normal life! With no fear of the Source or other magical villains. We can no longer save innocents from them, but at least we're safe. Remember? Only Sam and Cole kept their powers in case the Source changed his mind and came after us! And he hasn’t for four years! And we've all been very, very happy! Surely you remember that!

PIPER
(beginning to weep)
No! No! This is all so very wrong! What have we done, Phoebe? What have we done?

PHOEBE
(cuddling NICKI)
We've made our lives better.

PIPER
(screaming, now becoming hysterical)
No! No! No!

Ahhh, selfish Phoebe! Still mean to Cole, and not caring that Piper's (and Paige's) lives are ruined!! I really liked this part though...and I hope they can set it right. A world without Wyatt and Chris! Gasp!

I'm so torn though...it's great to see Victor and Patty happy and together...and I LOVE that Cole's back....

But then there's Wyatt, Chris and Leo...*sob*

MEDIUM SHOT: Same as before; PIPER continues to scream hysterically.

(exchanging concerned looks with VICTOR, then reaching for NICKI)
Come to Grams, sweetie.

(PHOEBE gives NICKI another tight hug, then passes HER off to PATTY)

PATTY
(lovingly)
Go to Pops.

(PATTY passes NICKI off to VICTOR, who cuddles her. Then PATTY puts a gentle, motherly arm around PHOEBE and then the other around PIPER, who puts her head on PATTY’s shoulder and continues to cry. We follow THEM as PATTY leads them into the conservatory, although PHOEBE keeps looking back to look wonderingly at NICKI.)


INT - CONSERVATORY - DAY

CONTINUOUS: PATTY leads PIPER and PHOEBE to the wicker chairs by the window and settles the SISTERS into them. SHE exits back to the kitchen and we just watch the two SISTERS as PIPER continues to cry and PHOEBE looks confused, wondering, then ecstatic as she says, “Cole” lovingly, the way we heard her say his name during Season Three and Four. PATTY returns with two cups of hot tea, which she sets on the table between the SISTERS. PHOEBE reaches for hers and sips; PIPER keeps crying. PATTY kneels down between the two chairs, looks up, and reaches up to take one of each of the SISTERS' hands.

PATTY
(very, very gently)
Tell me what’s happened.

PIPER
(insistent)
Mom, we’re not crazy. Really we aren’t. What we’re saying is all true. I am married to Leo. We do have two sons. And we had to vanquish Cole because he really was evil--he became the Source, Mom! He made Phoebe his queen! She carried his evil child!

CLOSEUP of PHOEBE nodding

PATTY
No, honey, the Source’s queen is the Seer. Always has been. Yes, when we helped her take the Hollow out of the power-mad Source after Prue died and thought we were putting it back into its box, she made sure it went into Cole instead, trying to get him to impregnate you, Phoebe, with evil seed, so she, the Seer, could have the child that she and the Source couldn't have.

PATTY's POV: PIPER & PHOEBE as they react to PATTY's words.

PATTY (o/s)
(continuing)
But it didn't work. Even though Cole was the Source's right-hand man for awhile, we all immediately realized that something was wrong. We all knew he had to be possessed, because we all knew he was good.

CLOSEUP of PATTY and PHOEBE, as PATTY turns to PHOEBE.

PATTY
(continuing)
Phoebe, it was your love for him and his love for you that helped him defeat that possession.

PHOEBE
(shocked, whispering in disbelief)
Possession? He was really always good?

PATTY
(a smile in her voice)
Of course. And when you helped him kick the Hollow out of him and put it back in the box, he kicked Belthazar out, too, even though he retained his demonic powers. It was only after that that you had the dream wedding you always wanted.

PHOEBE
(begins to cry)
Oh, Mom, I can‘t believe how much and how badly I’ve wronged him! He went crazy in our world thanks to me! Dad was right; indeed I am going to have to apologize, and this time I‘ll mean even word.

PATTY
(smiling, patting PHOEBE‘s hand with pleased pride)
That‘s my girl.
(A beat, as she thinks)
Obviously something has happened to change what you girls remember into what your dad and I remember.

MEDIUM SHOT: EVERYONE

PHOEBE
(shrugging)
Of course. We broke the Curse.

PATTY
The Curse?

PIPER
Yeah, the one Ruth put on Melinda Warren.

(Before PATTY can reply, PIPER turns to look at PHOEBE, confusion on her face)

PIPER
(confused)
But, Phoebe, we didn’t break it, not really. We never cast that spell.

PATTY
Well, tell me what happened.

SPECIAL EFFECT: Time passes

PATTY
(still confused)
Wait. First you said that this Ruth, the one who cursed Melinda Warren, was burnt alive, but then you said that she was stabbed. Which one was it?

PHOEBE
(thinking about it)
I guess it was both. She would've gotten burnt rather than stabbed if we didn't go back.

PIPER
(nodding)
And that must be why the future changed.

PATTY
(nodding)
She must’ve died before she could cast the Curse on Melinda Warren.

PIPER
(smiling brightly, happily)
That’s it! All we have to do is go back in time and fix this! Even if Leo and I still have to worry about the Elders separating us, we’ll still be together and we’ll still have Wyatt and Chris!

PHOEBE
(shaking her head, protesting)
No! We want to keep things just as they are! Piper, Mom is alive, and she’s together with Dad! I have a beautiful daughter! Cole loves me, and now I know that I’ve always loved him!

PATTY
(smiling sadly)
You have to think of the bigger picture, sweetie. As good witches, our duty has always been to serve the greatest good.

PHOEBE
(slowly, cautiously; she‘s already figured it out and doesn‘t like it)
What do you mean?

PATTY
(smiling sadly)
Did you say that in the world you remember that the Charmed Ones were reconstituted after Prue was killed?

PIPER
(nodding)
Dad really did leave you, Mom, and you did have an affair with Sam and secretly had a daughter named Paige. She's beautiful, Mom, just like you, and just as sweet and good. She can orb, just like Sam. And she can move things with her mind, like Prue could, only it’s different. And now the three of us, we’re The Charmed Ones.

PHOEBE
(startled as it hits her)
And that must be why Paige didn’t come through the portal with us! She can’t exist here as long as Mom and Dad are together.

PATTY
(nodding, then squeezing PHOEBE‘s hand)
And does the Source exist in your world?

PHOEBE
(grinning)
You kidding? We vanquished his sorry a$$!

PATTY
(smiling sadly, very gently)
Because you had The Power of Three. Once you made that impossible by preventing Ruth from cursing Melinda Warren, you came to our world where it doesn't exist. But you two must be part of a world where Power of Three is allowed to be reconstituted again, so that the Source can be vanquished again.

PHOEBE
(screaming)
No! Then we'd lose you! Mom, you died when I was barely three, when Sam distracted you while you were trying to vanquish the Water Demon who was destroying the children at the camp! I didn't get to know you at all!

PATTY
(nodding)
I remember that. Sam never distracted me, because he wasn't there. I shocked the Demon to death and then came home to Victor and my girls.

PHOEBE
(shaking her head)
Not in the world we come from. That’s why we gotta stay here! We can't go back! We gotta stay here where you’re alive and together with Dad--Mom, in our world, he left you before I was even born!--and where I have a daughter and Cole loves me! Piper can learn to love Dan! She did before! We can’t go back, Mom, we can‘t!
(puts her head in her lap and begins to cry again)

(PATTY reaches out and rubs PHOEBE‘s back comfortingly)

PATTY
Sorry, sweetie, but you must. As I told you, we must serve the greater good, and if that means that you are only allow to know me in your world as a ghost, then I know it's a price any version of me would willingly pay. If you only knew all the innocents who have died since the Power of Three was broken with Prue’s death! All the horrible things the Source has done! I would love to think that I helped bring back a world where none of that happened!

PHOEBE
(looking up, whimpering)
You said we were happy.

PATTY
(nodding)
And we are, because we faced the fact that there was nothing we could do to stop the Source. But there is something we can do now--send you two back, so you and your half-sister can change your future back, let Ruth cast her spell, go back to your present and break the Curse. That way the Source will stay vanquished in your world, and you girls can be happy.

PHOEBE
(still whimpering)
Oh, Mom! I hate the thought of losing you yet again, besides losing Nicki and Cole, who I now know is the true love of my life and is lost to me in our world, but I have to admit that you’re right.

(PATTY again squeezes PHOEBE’s hand, beaming in pride)

PIPER
There’s just one problem. I don’t know how to go back to the past.

PHOEBE
Neither do I. I don't remember the spell. We need Rori.

PATTY
(her face paling)
Rori?

PHOEBE
Yeah, our fourth-cousin. We just met her today. Or was it yesterday? Whatever. I still hate time travel! Anyway. She‘s the one who told us about the Curse.

PATTY
(very sadly)
I knew Rori, Phoebe. Her mother, my third-cousin, Sylvia, was my best friend, just like my mother and her mother were best friends, the way I hoped she'd be best friends with you girls.

PIPER and PHOEBE
(staring at PATTY in shock)
Was?

PATTY
(nodding, beginning to cry)
I’ve been trying not to think about it, but Sylvi, her husband James and their daughter Rori have been living in Egypt. They died in a fire yesterday.

PIPER
(reaching out to comfort PATTY)
Oh, Mom, I’m so sorry!
(as it hits her)
Oh, no! Sylvia and James never broke up! So they stayed together there in Egypt, rather than coming back here, where we met them and were able to save them!

(PATTY looks confused, and begins to ask)

PHOEBE
(waving her off)
Never mind, Mom. Just know that now we know why Rori didn’t come through the portal either.

PATTY
Another reason for you to go back. If you get rid of the Curse in your time, perhaps my friend and her family will be OK in your world again. Knowing that there's a world where they're safe and that my daughters helped save them will help me accept their loss here.

PIPER
And Paige will be OK again, too. But we can‘t get back without Rori, because I don't remember the spell either. We thought that we would just pop back into our own present after breaking the Curse. Now what do we do?

PHOEBE
(smiling brightly, happily)
We face the fact that we can’t go back and we enjoy this present!

PIPER
(protesting, shocked)
Phoebe!

PHOEBE
Well? What if this is the life we were supposed to have, Piper?

PIPER
(still shocked, horrified)
You can't mean that! You can't want a life that doesn't include Leo and Wyatt and Chris and Paige!

PHOEBE
(admitting)
No, no, of course not! I love all of them and would miss them, too, dreadfully. Even Rori, although we just met her. But, Piper, this is the life we would’ve had if Ruth hadn’t cast that Curse! Maybe it’s what’s meant. Maybe that's why we had to go back.

PATTY
(firmly shaking her head)
I refuse to believe that. If that was true, you girls wouldn’t still remember what happened before; you would‘ve blended into the Piper and Phoebe of this world when you came back and not remembered the one you came from. There’s another way to send you back.
(calling out)
Cole! I know you’re around! Show yourself!

SPECIAL EFFECT: COLE shimmers in

CLOSEUP of PHOEBE as extreme shame and extreme guilt floods over her.

MEDIUM SHOT of PHOEBE and COLE as PHOEBE slowly but surely stands up and walks over to COLE and puts her arms around him.

PHOEBE
(contritely)
I’m sorry, Cole. Please forgive me. I know you love me and that I love you; I’ve always loved you.

COLE
(jumping back from PHOEBE as if burnt, incensed, the angriest we‘ve ever seen him)
How could you have possibly not known that I was possessed? How couldn’t you trust our love enough to know that once I started loving you, I would never betray you? That as long as you loved me, we could stand up to the Source and not do what was wrong?

PHOEBE
(beginning to weep, whimpering)
Please forgive me. I’m so very sorry.

COLE
(very cold, very unforgiving)
So am I.

MEDIUM SHOT: EVERYONE

PATTY
(very gently)
Cole, you have to send them back.

COLE
(losing it, seriously pissed, screaming)
What? Patty! I can’t believe my ears! Let me get this straight. You want me to help them bring back a world where
(pointing at PHOEBE, saying the word as if it was something that tastes terrible)
she basically hates me?

PATTY
(nods)
I know you were listening. So you know that there is a greater good at stake here, the need to bring back The Power of Three.

COLE
(reluctantly admitting)
Well, the Source does have control of almost everything. And he's done some pretty horrible things.

PIPER
(softly)
For the sake of good magic, please help us.

COLE
(contemptuously)
Yeah, I heard. You just want your husband and sons back.

PIPER
(admitting)
Yes, I do. I want my life back. It may never be a normal life, like the one I could have had here, but it’s the best life for me, because it includes the ones I love, even if it only includes you as an occasional ghost, Mom.
(PATTY nods sadly.)
But I also want to help all of the innocents who died because we couldn’t save them. Please help us save them.

COLE
(sighing)
All right. I’ll do it. But not for that reason.
(he turns to glare at PHOEBE)
How could you ever believe I was evil? How could you not believe in our love? I gave up everything for you! Everything! I can't believe you didn't give everything back to me! Especially not your trust in our love!
(really angry now)
You are nothing like my Phoebe! Nothing! I'll bet the Cole in your world is glad he's rid of you, even if he had to be vanquished to do it! You're nothing but a selfish shrew who deserves to be alone! That's the only reason why I'm doing this, letting you go back, so you can think about what my Phoebe has and what you lost through your own selfish blindness!

HER POV: PHOEBE and RORI as THEY run for the woods. A beat and then we sees the PHOEBE who was standing next to HER running up to the BURLY MAN and RUTH. PHOEBE moves RUTH just a few inches, then runs back to PIPER.

CLOSEUP: PIPER flicking her hands

HER POV: The BURLY MAN and RUTH unfreeze. The BURLY MAN misses RUTH, his sword ending up embedded in the ground. RUTH screams in frustration, then runs off.

CLOSEUP: PIPER and PHOEBE watching them, then turning to smile at one another in triumph.

SPECIAL EFFECT: PIPER and PHOEBE fade away.

EXT - ALTAR - DAY

ESTABLISHING SHOT: PIPER and PAIGE are already standing near the altar. PHOEBE and RORI run out of the woods to join them.

SPECIAL EFFECT: Four sparks of light appear and form into THE SISTERS and RORI.

MEDIUM SHOT: The FOUR WOMEN

(PHOEBE first grins at PAIGE and RORI, then holds up the vial before putting it back in her pocket. PAIGE runs to the BOOK of SHADOWS and begins quickly paging through it. RORI just stands and grins. PIPER runs out the door and we can hear her clattering down the steps. We soon hear her clattering back up.)

PIPER
(smiling at PHOEBE)
They’re safe. Both Wyatt and Chris are safe!

CLOSEUP on PHOEBE‘s happy, yet sad, smile. She takes a deep breath, then walks over to PIPER and hugs her tight.

PHOEBE
I'm so glad that they're OK, Piper. I didn't really want them to be gone.

PIPER
(smiling, understanding)
I know, Phoebs. I understand.

(PHOEBE walks over to RORI and hugs her)

PHOEBE
I didn't mean to imply that our pain of losing our Mom or having our Dad leave us was worse than your Dad leaving you and your Mom or your Grams dying of a broken heart thanks to our Grams. I'm sorry.

RORI
(looking at PHOEBE strangely)
That’s OK.

CLOSEUP: PAIGE’S puzzled face as PHOEBE walks over to her and hugs her tight.

PAIGE
Who are you, and what did you do with my sister?

CLOSEUP: PHOEBE‘s sad smile.

PHOEBE
I just realized that maybe I've been a bit too self-centered lately in my search for my daughter‘s father.

PAIGE
A bit?

PHOEBE
(laughing wrly)
All right, a lot. But I just want you to know how happy I am that you‘re part of our family and part of The Charmed Ones. I can‘t imagine our family without you. I love you, Paige, and I would even if we weren't Charmed.

CLOSEUP: PAIGE hugs PHOEBE back.

PAIGE
I understand, Phoebs. I love you and Piper, too, and I'm glad I'm part of this family. I hope you find your daughter’s father. And guess what! You just might now, because I just found the spell! And all we need to do is put Ruth's blood along with our blood into a caldron and then chant the spell!

MEDIUM SHOT: All FOUR WOMEN

Well, let's do it!

PHOEBE
(shaking her head)
I need to do something else first. One more apology.

PIPER
(very concerned)
Phoebe? Are you sure?

PHOEBE
It's OK, Piper. I don't know how much reversing that Curse is going to change things. I need to do something else first while the world is still the way we left it.

PIPER
(still concerned)
If you're sure?

PHOEBE
(nodding)
May I do this alone, please?

(PIPER nods and leads PAIGE and RORI out the door, before closing it. PHOEBE gives out a deep sigh, then sets up a ring of candle in the form of a pentagram and lights each one. SHE takes another deep breath.)

PHOEBE
(chanting)
Magic forces black and white,
Reaching out through space and light
No matter where he may now be,
Bring back Cole Turner here to me.

SPECIAL EFFECT: There’s a brilliant flash of lights and then THE GHOST of COLE appears.

COLE
(sighing, unemotional, no longer even frustrated)
What do you want, Phoebe? To vanquish me yet again? You can't. I'm a vanquished spirit and can't come back.

PHOEBE
(shaking her head, sorrow and shame in her voice)
That's not why I summoned you, Cole. I want to say I'm sorry and to beg your forgiveness.

COLE
(shocked, disbelieving)
What? This is another one of your tricks, right?

PHOEBE
(shaking her head)
No, it's not. I'm serious. I know that you never returned to evil, not really. That you were possessed by the essence of the Source, and now I know that the loss of my love is what drove you crazy.

SPECIAL EFFECT: Tears appear in PHOEBE‘S eyes.

PHOEBE
(continuing, deep sorrow and shame in her voice)
I'm so very sorry that I didn't trust our love enough to help you battle the possession.

COLE
(still not accepting her apology)
Well, you're right, but I still don't trust this change of heart. I want to, but I can't. Tell me what's happened.

SPECIAL EFFECT: Time passes

(finishing her tale)
And so he sent us back and we changed history back, but both Piper and I still remember what happened. I won't ever forget it.

(A beat as COLE considers what he’s been told)

CLOSEUP: PHOEBE and her reaction to COLE’S words.

COLE (o/s)
(sighing deeply)
Unlike that version of me, I'm not angry at you, Phoebe. Not now. Not now that I know that it was a curse that kept us from being happy. Not now that you know and have been able to accept the truth. And also unlike him, I want you to be happy and to be able to find love. I always have. Because I do love you. I always have and always will, and I want what's best for you. And I can admit that I wasn't. As long as I was with you, we would both always be tempted to turn to evil. You accepting what you did and asking forgiveness is all I've ever wanted, all I've ever needed. Now I can finally let go of this world and move on. Thank you for doing that for me.

CLOSEUP: PHOEBE as she sobs for a bit, then wipes the tears from her eyes.

Piper! Paige! Rori! You can come back now.

MEDIUM SHOT: PIPER, PAIGE and RORI come back in. PIPER walks over to PHOEBE and puts an arm around her.

PIPER
(still concerned)
You OK?

PHOEBE
(smiling broadly)
I am now. And so is he!

(PAIGE and RORI exchange looks of confusion.)

PHOEBE
(still grinning)
Never mind. Let's just get rid of that Curse!

(PHOEBE takes out her athame and THE CHARMED ONES and RORI each in turn prick her finger and lets her blood flow into the caldron sitting on the table. Then PHOEBE takes the vial out of her pocket and pours the blood from the vial into the mixture.)

SPECIAL EFFECT: Before THEY can begin to chant, the mixture explodes.

PAIGE
(looking around)
Did it work?

RORI
I don‘t know; you didn‘t chant.

(We hear the front door open and close)

JAMES (o/s)
(calling)
Sylvi! Rori!

RORI
(a brilliant smile on her face)
Daddy!

(She runs out the door and the CHARMED ONES chase her. There's a beat, and then two people stand up from behind the couch. It's GOOD WYATT from "Imaginary Friends", and CHRIS from Season Six, but he doesn't look quite the same -- he's not as skinny and his clothes show off his physique. His hair is styled and not as shaggy and frames a face with sparkling eyes and a large smile that he obviously uses a lot. The whole world is no longer on his shoulders as it was in Season Six, and it shows. To put it mildly, the Halliwell sons look GOOD!)

(THE YOUNG MEN high-five, laughing.)

CHRIS
Hey, they didn't have to do the chant after all!

WYATT
Too bad; it was a cool spell.

CHRIS
(rolls his eyes at his BROTHER)
Of course, you wrote it!

(WYATT smrks)

CHRIS
(continuing)
Think they'll ever figure out that you wrote that page in the Bowen Book and I wrote the one in ours?

WYATT
Nah. Babies can't write!

(BOTH YOUNG MEN laugh)

C'mon, let's go home!

(CHRIS nods, so WYATT points at the Triquetra, still drawn on the wall. It becomes a portal and BOTH YOUNG MEN step through.)

ESTABLISHING SHOT: JAMES is holding SYLVIA in a tight hug. LEO is standing close by, smiling, holding YOUNG CHRIS, while holding YOUNG WYATT’S hand. RORI comes tearing down the stairs and launches herself at JAMES and SYLVIA before she even reaches the bottom step.

(hugging HER back, while still hugging SYLVIA)
I love you, Rori, you and your mother both, much too much to ever be separated from you again, no matter what happens, no matter if you‘re magical or not.

(PAIGE grins, then orbs out.)

(PIPER walks over to LEO, smiling lovingly at him as she does. She picks up YOUNG WYATT and hugs HIM, then hugs LEO and YOUNG CHRIS, including them all in a family hug.)

You’ll never hear me complain about wanting a normal life again. I’m happy and proud that I’m a witch. The only normal life I’ll ever want is the life I have with you and our boys!

LEO
And I’ll never let the Elders separate us again, because one with you and our boys is the only life I‘ve ever wanted, the only life I‘ll ever want!

(Still in the hug, THEY walk into the LIVING ROOM and close the door)

CLOSEUP: PHOEBE, standing by herself. She looks at the front door, then the phone, then the living-room door.

So clever- is there anything they can't do The stuff between Cole and Phoebe was actually very sweet...if only she really would realize her mistake...she WAS totally unfair to him. Glad Leo, Chris and Wyatt are back. Too bad about Patty and Cole though. Oh, and Glenn!!! Yeee, so unexpected, but so great- no one is better for Paige. I'm glad everything has worked out for those who deserve it.

I'm glad you agree with me that Glen is the perfect guy for Paige and that Piper will quit being Miss Whine-a-lot, because she realizes that she & Leo and their boys belong together. I tried to come up with a rationale for letting her let Leo become a whitelighter again, since I think that's his true destiny (not Chief Elder like in that other world), but couldn't, so this will have to do.

As for PhoeME, I truly think it would take something like this to make her realize her mistake(s) with Cole. :' (Unfortunately, I don't think it's something we'll ever see, since I don't think either Brad Kern or Alyssa Milano thinks Phoebe did anything wrong!

But has Freeebie learned her lesson or will she just jump at the next guy who comes by? She has Cole's permssion to find love (just like he gave it in Seven Year Witch), but will she? And how exactly will this, my version of the last episode of Charmed, end? Any ideas?? I guess you'll just have to wait for the tag, which I'll post tomorrow!

Then Aurora, who wrote the original story and also used it for her contest-winning entry, can start posting hers. The story is similar but also very different, since it fits in with what we know will happen in S8 a whole lot better than this does, besides unable to use Patty, Cole, Big Chris & Big Wyatt and others in her version thanks to the contest rules. She also does the characters just a bit differently than I do, besides not having Rori's Story (which also includes James, Sylvia & Fax) as part of it. So please, everyone, just because you've read, and hopefully enjoyed, my story, please don't think it's spoiled you for hers!!

(beat as she thinks, and her face falls.)

(reaching out to take her chin and lifts it up so she's looking at him, very softly, gently, lovingly, understandingly)

(PHOEBE stares at him in shock, unable to respond.)

DRAKE
And that’s fine with me, sweetheart, because without him, we wouldn‘t be together In fact, I think if our first child is a boy, we’ll named him Cole.

(smiling brilliantly)
And if she’s a girl, she’ll be Nicole!

(DRAKE hugs her tight)

(As beautiful, romantic music begins to play, DRAKE and PHOEBE begin dancing. They are so wrapped up in themselves that they don’t hear the sounds of MATERIALIZING)

SPECIAL EFFECT: TWO GHOSTS appear on the stairs, watching, smiling -- PENNY & PATTY. Beat, and then there's more materialization and the GHOST OF PRUE appears between PENNY & PATTY. SHE smiles at THEM; THEY smile at HER, then all turn to smile at PHOEBE & DRAKE, who are still dancing.


EXT - PARK - DAY

ESTABLISHING SHOT As the music continues, we see PAIGE walking and talking with GLEN, arm-in-arm. He turns to kiss her passionately, and she returns the kiss just as strongly. Somewhere behind them, we see THE GHOSTS of PENNY, PATTY and PRUE watching them, smiling.


INT - LIVING ROOM - DAY

ESTABLISHING SHOT: As the music continues, we see PIPER and LEO sitting on the couch, LEO’S arm around PIPER, his hand playing with her hair. WYATT and CHRIS are sitting on the floor, using their powers to move toys around, while PIPER uses her hands to direct them and LEO watches, smiling. Behind them, we see the THREE GHOSTS, watching them, smiling.

CLOSEUP: CHRIS as he looks up and smiles broadly, the same smile we saw his older self smile just a bit earlier and the same sparkle in his eyes--the resemblance is amazing--EVERY Charmed fan, be they a Chris-lover or not, should go "AHHHH!"

MEDIUM SHOT: EVERYONE

SPECIAL EFFECT: CHRIS TKs his teddy bear towards the GHOSTS and it goes right through them.

(The GHOST of PRUE kneels down and motions to CHRIS. CHRIS stands up and begins toddling towards the GHOSTS. PIPER, thinking that HE's going after his teddy-bear, motions to WYATT to go get his BROTHER. While WYATT gets up and begins going after CHRIS, PIPER & LEO sneak a few deep kisses, totally missing their SONS waving at THREE GHOSTS, who wave back.)

INT - ATTIC - DAY

ESTABLISHING SHOT: As the music continues, we see the Book of Shadows, open to the page on the Curse.

SPECIAL EFFECT: We hear the sound of MATERIALIZING, then see the finger of a ghostly hand writing in gold, shining letters: "Thank you, my daughters!"

The GHOST of PRUE, standing in the middle, turns her head to smile first at the GHOST of PENNY and then at the GHOST of PATTY, then turns to look at the door and smile at us. She waves her hand. The door closes.

I've been slowly trying to read all the fanfics, and just got to yours. I loved it.

I believe that Phoebe became a different person after Cole, because of the circumstances, and she still loved him. But loving someone that she thought was so bad made her feel bad about herself, hence she sought out men to make herself feel better (free psychologist here).

Glen is the perfect guy for Paige! Nothing more to say here.

Leo and Piper should always be together - but definitely without her constantly whining about wanting a normal life. If someone could tell me what a normal life is, I'd gladly steal a million of dollars for them - there's no such thing, there's just life (heard that somewhere).

But I think my tearful moment was the ending. Prue's signature closing of the door, standing as a ghost with Penny and Patty. If I saw that on TV, I'd be sitting there sobbing, holding a box of kleenex. (My eyes also start filling up with tears at Hallmark commercials).

Your use of all those characters was brilliant. Hats off to you!

I'll read the other story (or was it stories?). Sounds like they'll be interesting also.

I forgot to read the tag until just now. Very cute! Loved the little Chris part of course...I'd be one of the people going "awwww" at the parts you mentioned. This was such a satifying ending-everyones happy- even the family members that are no longer there. It was sweet. And the part with Melinda was good too- when she wrote "and my sons" I smiled.

Great job, I really enjoyed that:)

My only problems are these: there were no "flashback clips" with Prue in the beginning and we never got to see Prue and Andy's "happy ending," in the afterlife and that was a huge part of the show (especially for us Prue/Andy shippers). In a sense, it would've given us (Andy/Prue fans) closure to know that they did meet up and everything ended well for them.

As for it's good points: I'm so happy that Paige ended up with Glenn! Ever since I saw them together, I've been a Paige/Glenn shipper (and those tend to be pretty rare). I'm glad that Phoebe finally admitted her love for Cole (I've always and will forever be a Phoebe/Cole fan). I had always hated how the show made them end up. She'll always love him, no matter what the writers do/say. And I'm so happy that you brought some of all the seasons into this one (the show needs some continuity).

All in all, it was REALLY good!
