Cast Caricature

I've posted this in a couple of sites; this was a cast caricature I did, a couple of seasons back...



At some point, I plan to do individual drawings (if I can ever clear my calendar!)

Thanks, everybody! It's ink, watercolor, and chalk, on 11X17 card stock paper. I've been selling portraits and caricatures since I was six (which was a loooooooooong time ago!), so I get pretty good likenesses, most of the time; the trick is getting likenesses in a group picture, where the largest heads will be about the size of a half-dollar, and the smallest, a dime! Cole and Darryl's likenesses are that small, but, as a Cole fan, I knew I HAD to get him in, somehow!

The easiest to draw? Prue, Paige, and Piper; Phoebe is actually much harder, with her angular face, and changing eyebrows and hair styles/colors. Leo is tricky, also; being very fair and blonde, size and color are essential in getting a likeness; in this drawing, though, his head was quarter-sized, which made detailing tough! My ink 'bled' a bit, on Chris' eyebrows, BTW!

I'm not great at houses, so the Manor is a bit sketchy; sorry!

Like I said, earlier, I plan to do individual drawings, at least of the sisters, Leo, and Cole, sometime soon (I'm getting stacked up with Christmas assignments, at the moment). I'm not crazy about Billie, so I don't plan to draw her, unless she becomes more interesting to me!

Tisk tisk. You are FAR too hard on yourself. First of all, Chris looks great (and after starring at pictures of Drew for embarrassing amounts of time in the past few years I consider myself a good judge of that )

Also- the house looks WONDERFUL. I really love it- sure it's not perfect perspective, but it has awesome character and it completely achieves it's purpose.

As I said before, great job.

P.S. Any chance you'll one of just Chris I'd love to see that.

It's coming (Alyssa, too!) My printer is down, right now, but as soon as I can print some reference pictures, I plan to do each of the sisters...and Leo and Cole, and possibly Wes and Drew...individually.

Christmas is one of my busiest seasons, as an artist, so I hope to work on the 'singles', in January!
