Your Dream "Charmed: The Movie"

Yes, I know that there's a thread for this but there's a specific purpose for this thread... you're a screenwriter or film director and you've been given the A-Okay to produce a Charmed film. What would you do? What storyline would you explore? How are you going to interest people who aren't familiar with the show?

Here's what I think I'd do:

"Charmed: The Movie" takes place about five years after Forever Charmed and the sisters are getting along perfectly with their lives without demons.

Piper has become a chic Martha Stewart-type person whose opened a successful restaurant, written several cookbooks and children's books. Her marriage to Leo is as fabulous as ever and she's even been able to keep her sons and daughter in-line.

Phoebe is living a bicoastal lifestyle having to fly from Los Angeles to New York City every week. She's hosting a popular talkshow, riding off the success of her columns and hit self-help book series. While her husband, Coop is adjusting to the life of a father by staying in LA with their daughter.

Paige has taken to teaching at a high school (a public one at that!) and by night she's a whitelighter. On the outside, Paige seems to have the perfect marriage but in reality she's having problems with Henry... they simply aren't communicating.

When a new magical threat arrives (I'm thinking an ancient evil sorceress like Circe or Morgan Le Fay) and organizes the new generation of demons into an army. When they attack the surface world, the sisters are forced to combat this evil but discover that their powers are significantly weaker. Why? Because as sisters they've grown apart and forgotten about their sisterhood and magical background.

Prue is sent to help the sisters and remind them the meaning of love and family. However, her appearance seems to aggrevate the situation by having Piper concede to Prue's leadership while Paige seems insecure around the woman she's long regarded as being "better than her".

Overally, I envision "Charmed: The Movie" being very Desperate Housewives-esque in having grown up.

What does everyone think? What would you do?

I think your dream is far different to mine. Sounds too Sex and the City, Desperate Housewives (which you pointed out) and less Charmed. I like the general idea but there are just little things that irk me. IE: Piper writing, Phoebe being a massive celebrity (It doesn't suit Charmed and is why I started to like Phoebe less and less at times in S6 and S7).

It's a good start but I think it's really Hollywood but at the same time, really not Charmed.

I agree. There's a lot l like, but a lot I don't. The Sex and the City and Desperate Housewife ripoffs were among my least favorites of the episodes, so to have a whole movie that way would probably make me walk out!

Mine would be totally different.

Mine would start out looking like the end of Forever Charmed, with one major difference...at the end, while Piper is reading to her granddaughter, the scene suddenly blacks out, looking like a pair of eyes closing, and then they open and it's all blurry and we hear paramedics saying, "This one is almost gone, just like the other two. We better get her to a hospital quick." That way we know that Forever Charmed was nothing but Piper's delusions as she almost died, so therefore nothing in Forever Charmed ever happened, therefore anything can happen to anyone and we're not stuck with using what happened during that show (everyone with three kids, everyone happy ever after, etc. etc.). That would bring back the drama.

Then we would go forward 10 years...February, 2016. The Witch Trials. A Halliwell is up for execution. But not Phoebe. It's Piper. Billie FINALLY got to her one time too many and she exploded the dumb blonde and people saw her do it, especially Nathaniel Pratt!

How the rest of the family (Leo--who unfroze when the Manor exploded--Wyatt and Chris; Paige, Henry and their daughter Sam; and Phoebe and her twelfth husband-she's still looking for love and hasn't found it yet, especially because none of them have given her her daughter--she's yet to admit that after the Phoetus was torn from her womb, she became sterile and can never have kids) save Piper (IF they do...) is what the rest of the movie would be about.

That way it would still be Charmed, but different.

I like the idea of Prue coming back as a spirit and helping her sisters (and half-sister) fight a new evil. I'd also like to get to meet some of Phoebe's and Paige's children as youngsters (maybe have Phoebe or Paige actually be pregnant in the storyline).

I do love that they've got only Chris and Wyatt. I love Paige's daughter's name. And Phoebe is childless. *sighs happily*

Thank you. I figured mine would have a good shot of being made because you wouldn't have to pay all of those kids! Of course, since this is dream, you wouldn't really have to worry about that, but I hate the thought of Three Threes! It's as bad as The Twice Blessed Child or Thuperwitch, both more powerful than The Charmed Ones!

And actually, it would be 10 marriages in 10 years for Phoebe...#1 is Cole and #2 is Coop...

And I can guarantee we wouldn't see any of the Charmed Ones pregnant in the movie unless one of the actresses actually is. Can you truly imagine Holly or Alyssa or Rose (or Shannen...) agreeing to make a movie about Charmed and having to wear a fat suit for the entire movie???

Ha! No, see here's how MINE would be:

About six years after the Ultimate Battle. Leo and Piper are happily married and have their three children. Leo has been teaching at Magic School, and Piper has her restaurant, P4. Phoebe and Coop are also happliy married, and expecting their thild child soon. Phoebe is taking maternity leave from her column, and Coop still helps people find love. Paige and Henru have all three kids. Paige is a part time social worker, and Henry still does the parole officer thing. Billie is doing her own thing as well, and still single. So, the story begins.

A demon brings Christy back to life. Billie finds her in the street, lost and confused(or so she thinks). She takes Christy back and thinks that she is truly good now. But, now Christy is still out to kill the Charmed Ones. She plans an attack, recruting demons. Christy also has TONS of powers, and is more powerful than the Charmed Ones. Thus, Prue is brought back to help. After spending time with them, everyone is happy. But now they have to fight Christy again. Billie is torn, not sure who to choose. Billie wants Christy to have a second chance at life, and become good. But she sees that there isn't any left.

Then Piper, Prue, Phoebe, Paige, and even Billie, go up against Christy and her demons. Paige and Phoebe are injured, and Phoebe almost looses her baby when she suffers a blow to the stomach. But, finally, they vanquish Christy. Paige heals everyone, and sadly, they have to say goodbye to Prue. It's very emotional, and Paige has finally bonded with the sister she never knew. Billie goes on her way again, eventually living happily ever after.

But Brad Kern totally LOVES you! The movie could be the basis for his spinoff--Billie the Teenaged Thuperwitch!

But guaranteed it wouldn't include Prue!

If i know Hollywood well, they will steal ideas from all sorts of other shows and movies and combine them into another
"save the future" movie, maybe named: Charmed - Futures End

A futuristic demon has traveled back to 1978 and killed The Charmed Ones, when they were kids.
The future has changed and become a dark place, where demons has taken over the world and we all live as slaves.
2012 Piper, Phoebe and Paige travels back in time to 1978 to intercept the demon, save them selves and our future.

Three years has passed since the Ultimate Battle...Piper and Leo have finally found martial bliss and Piper is in search of the location for her new resteraunt. Phoebe has just had her first child, Pandora with now husband, Coop. She stays in regular contact with Billie over the phone, Piper and Paige however still haven't forgiven her.
Paige's life isn't as rosy. Her and Henry are having issues and she's struggled to concieve. Both are busy with their work, Paige having returned to Social Working while dealing with her whitelighter duties on the side and Henry spending alot of his time at the office or with his parolees. Even Coop can't seem to help them.

At the Manor, a portal opens in the attic, out falls Chris, Pandora and Piper's unborn daughter, Melinda. They have news for the sisters, one of them is going to die tonight. But who? According Pandora, who's clairvoyance is far beyond that of her mothers, saw a demon who can jump through time. According to her visions, he has jumped back in time numerous time in order to kill all three Charmed Ones, every time he does, some one difference dies. Before the most recent time jump, when Pandora recieved the vision, she cast a spell to allow her and her cousins to remember the events of last tim, so they wouldn't forget when the time line changes.

They then travelled back in time to warn and help the sisters. The story plays out and they save the day - but not at a cost...

In my case this is my version.

Charmed 'The Movie"

3 Years after the Ultimate battle. I would picture the opening as Piper visiting Prue's grave, praying and asking to see her since she can now handle and accepted Prue's lost. Phoebe and Paige keeping their careers and witch duties intact at the same time but then there are also some everyday life stress to be included. Until a new silent menace is approaching. Something they never saw coming. A very powerful Female Witch arise, She obliterated majority of the Elders and other Whitelighters as well. However a certain Elders wounded manage to escape and ask help from other witches but they were also exterminated. That elders only last hope are the Halliwells'. This main Villain has a grand scheme against the Charmed Ones in particular.

To add my own twist, She's interested in getting Prue's dead body for some reason, she formed and gather a legion of warlocks and demons under her chain of command. The sisters knew about this evil witch but not her plan about Prue. That when the first encounter began it was a hard battlle, but for some reason they cannot vanquish her and the sisters end up defeated, there after they knew that demons were scheming to steal Prue's corpse. Piper was angry about this and so she with the rest tried to dig her eldest sisters body only to find out that the grave was already empty. This made all the sisters wonder as well as Leo and the surviving elder. On the other hand the Evil witch and her legions kept eradicating those on the Good side. Kinda like witch wars now!!!

Add a couple of fight scene in which Phoebe displays some superb Martial Arts prowess and the rest in their usual potion and power fights. Until a new character arrives in aid of the sisters and with him was Prue's body.. but still preserve after 8 years.. which would raise many questions.. and the Elder was a little pissed and confuse. It made Piper so upset and demanded lots of answers. The New Ally told them that they recovered Prue's body just weeks after her burial becoz there was already a plan for the Evil side to take it for some reason.

The Evil Witch along with her monions attack the Manor and saw Prue's body, another battle began, Piper, Phoebe, Paige, Leo, the elder and the new ally fought and his a very good martial arts fighter as well and he can threw a bunch of "Wind Blade". They manage to take down her legion but not her. Soon she began to fight the sisters and hurt their new ally, she manage to injure the sister so bad. Hurling them away, She's about to take Prue's body, but Piper intercepted and as she was about to get killed by that evil witch a Telekinetic force waves out both women Piper landing on her sisters and the evil witch thrown off. She was surprise and was thrown again. This made her retreat. It was then that the surviving elder has no other choice but to return Prue's back to save them all.
well this is the emotional scene, a reunion of the four sisters. After that , its about time they solved the problem and the Elder would explain about Prue's coming back. The day after chaos grew on the streets is turned into an apocalyptic city. All four sisters now along with their friends should work together in order to vanquish their foe.

That's it for me. Just my idea.

Time travel IS a pain in the a.. ;D
It creates paradoxes and alternate time lines that suddenly explains how it can be possible, they will explain it a way with wormhole theory, that they have traveled between different time lines that was created due to the change in the past.
Quantum Theoratical Thinking i believe its called.

As for the others, I like the scenarios, but like Assassin Witch, I hope there's no time travel in the movie...it's too hard to keep them consistent, unless it's one where the sisters go back to save somethingoranother and come back and find that they never existed....

I'm liking the idea of witch trials... I'd keep most of what I said would be going on with the girls... but Piper merely remains a restaurant owner... not a Martha Stewart-type. However, the movie would focus on getting back to the roots of magic and sisterhood. I want the movie to be about sisters... so somehow it has to bring back Prue and bring the sisters together (since I see that they'd be torn apart by their careers and their own families).

I could see the movie being about one of the sisters being caught using magic after a demon attacks (I'm thinking Piper... since she could be forced to if one attacked her restaurant) or Phoebe during one of her shows. Then the media goes crazy and the paparazzi could be relentless. Amidst all this is the arrival of that evil sorceress who (I liked this idea...) seeks to revive Prue. The sisters must struggle to fight this new evil and deal with the witch hunt.
