I was asking this question the whole time. Is he really dead?
In Centinal Charmed they did go back to the past ( at least I think they do because the sheer is also back?? ) How can he be killed in that time?
Chris was not dead they he was killed in it's a bad bad world part 2!
And the demon in season 1 was not dead also ( Episode The truth is out there and it hurts)
So I was thinking... If they were not dead.. Why would Cole be dead??

Cole is not dead, he has crossed into a plane between ours and the astral plane where he will be forced to stay for all eternity.
We have seen him on that plane of excistance in the season 7 episode: The Seven Year Witch, where he was talking to Piper that was dying and to Drake after he died.
The plane is sorta midway station for those who are dead or dying before they cross over.

I certainly don't believe it is . . . especially after episodes like "Witch Way Is Now" and "The Seven Year Witch". |

He managed to make a deal with Drake and convince Piper to take another chance with Leo. Something tells me that being stuck in that dimension for all eternity is not exactly a certain given. |

As i remembered it, Cole accepted where he was stuck. I guess its unlikely he will begin a search for a way to get out of the situation he is in, because he now fully understands how much he hurt Phoebe.

And the demon in season 1 was not dead also ( Episode The truth is out there and it hurts) He didnt go back in time, he just changed what happened, because if the sisters had have let paige die, then the Seer wouldnt have died, he just altared reality. I dont think he is really dead, because he is stuck on the Astral Plain because of his determination to stay with Phoebe. Their love made him stay, although Phoebe will never know it. (Also, how do you get pictures in your Signature? I have had a response, but the instructions where not very good. Please note that i am new to this and know nothing about it!)  So I was thinking... If they were not dead.. Why would Cole be dead?? |

I've always wondered if the reason why Cole is stuck in-between is because he was vanquished in an alternate universe, not ours, the way that Phoebe was able to still be alive in ours even if she burnt in an alternate future. If they'd been consistent, Cole would still be alive in our world. But asking for consistency from Kern is like asking the sky to turn orange! As i remembered it, Cole accepted where he was stuck. It's a d**n shame that Phoebe never understood how much she had hurt him. But then she never really grew up. Did she? No, she never did. Despite Kern trying to turn her into the middle child, she was always the ultimate baby, thinking only of herself and not much else. Even all of her loves were fantasty loves, not real because she never fully accepted reality by never fully admitting responsibility for her own actions--she was the one who chose to become Cole's evil queen; Cole didn't force her. |

No, I don't believe he's really dead. He was "vanquished" as Balthezor on the alternate plane, yet he was still an Avatar, existing outside of time and space, so I don't think he really died, but he did get much of his power taken away (I'm guessing not his immortality though) and then nobody knew what to do with him, so they banished him to the astral plane for eternity to punish him.
I bet if someone tried hard enough, they could find a way to bring him back to the real world, but I doubt Cole will seek to do that. All he wants is Phoebe and he can't have her, so he really has no motivation to come back again.

I don't think Cole is dead and i think he knows this himself...he just doesn't want to go back and interfere in their lives again considering what happened the last time he came back. It never actually showed that he was dead...he may be stuck in an astral plane but then why could he communicate with drake? and then when phoebe sensed him. it's an interesting topic to ponder on.

Phoebe is easy: I think she sensed him because, plain and simply, they're soul mates. Whether or not she wants to admit it, she'll always be in love with him and she proved that by sensing him. Just as Leo sensed when Piper died and why Andy could hear Prue's spirit when Jackson Ward was about to attack him. The Drake thing is a bit harder and something I've always wondered myself. Perhaps Drake has more powers that we don't know about, ones that allowed him to contact Drake/enabled Drake to be contacted by Cole? Or perhaps Cole used another demon/ghost/being/etc... as a middle man to contact Drake. Maybe he used a spirit board? There are so many possibilities. I would've really liked to have been shown how Cole first got in touch with Drake and got him to agree to helping Phoebe. |

i think that there is a possibility that he is and has been watching over Phoebe and the rest of the family to try and make up for his evil life and the huge misatkes he has made.
at least thats what i hope woulod be true. lol.

I read in a couple of fan fics that Cole remained an Avatar and that the Avatars had saved him just before getting vanquished. That sounds possible. After all, they wanted him in the group and maybe staged the whole thing just to get Cole on their side. But he didn't want anything to do with them and so they shunted him to the void until he decided to join them.

I don't think he cannot leave from the plane where he was confined I'ld like to see him in Forever Charmed helping Piper to save her sisters I'ld like to se him give a kiss on Phoebe's forehead and say goodby as Rhett in Gone with the wind
