The Task:For this round, you must create: a magazine cover
and an inside, double-page spread - both must be based on
one real, "behind the scenes" gossip/rumour story from the set of 'Charmed' (
you will be sent a selection of stories that you may use).
Your entry is to be part of a special edition version of a 'Charmed Magazine' - one that deals with clearing up the persisting rumours.
You should make your 3 pages (the cover and the 2 joint inside pages) as interesting, creative and realistic as possible, however, you
must not write the entire story for the inside pages. You may base your magazine pages on existing magazines or you could come up with an original design and layout.
The Examples:CoverInsideThese are just a basic idea of what we expect you to make. Obviously, all your pages should be more creative, realistic looking, larger in size, based on real stories, etc.
The Rules:1. All work
must be your own.
2. The front page must be
500 x 650 pixels in size and the inside double-page spread should be
2x the width (= 1000 pixels) of the front page.
3. You can use any extras (such as text, textures, brushes, etc.)
except animations for this task.
4. You may use
any types of images of the cast, eg. photoshoot, screencap images, etc.
5. You will be PMd a choice of real gossip stories that you may use, however, if you can think of another one that you really want to use then just PM your idea to me and I will let you know if it is ok to use. (
The gossip stories can be from when Charmed was running or up-to-date rumours - but they must be real, not made up.)
6. The gossip story you decide to have as your main feature should be the story that you feature on your 2 inside pages and so the cast/crew featured in your headline and story should be featured on the inside pages too.
7. Since this is a graphics challenge, you
must not write an entire story for the inside pages. Although you should add headlines, sub-headings and other small samples of text which are related to your main story. If you really want to write the story for your inside pages, then you may only do so and show it
after the voting for this round has ended.
8. The layout of your magazine pages is important in this round so on the inside pages you
must show where you would place any text by using any random letters/words to fill the space.
9. The deadline to enter your piece for the 4th round is
24th November 2008 - although, if all entries are received before this date, the poll will be able to be opened sooner.
10. You must PM your graphics to any of the 4 judges:

12. If you feel you want to redo your entry, you are permitted to do so with the acknowledgment of at least 1 judge
once in the whole challenge.
13. You
must not discuss your entry with any member of the Charmed Café during the production of your piece/s or even once they have been submitted.
14. These rules are subject to change throughout this round so please check them regularly.
