with not JUST Wyatt and Chris but with all the Charmed kids that were shown in the Final Epi? Starting from the beginning from birth and growing up. I wonder if Holly, Alyssa, & Rose would come back to start it off? I wouldn't like that at all. I don't care about anyone else beside Wyatt and Chris. I don't see the significance of anyone else. It would be too crowded. Already, we had problems with just three sisters. With Piper's combustion power, the others' weren't all that useful. Then you want eight/nine people involved? Like Wyatt doesn't have enough powers? Plus, what about supporting roles? Friends, bfs, gfs, etc. too Crowded. Too many storylines. Keep it simple. As for the beginning and growing up, that is unneccesary. We've already had a few years of Wyatt's childhood and Chris. Why do we need to see them as kids? Keep them in their early twenties. If something significant happened in their past, show in from the "present", and make that event a plot. |

I think that if they did a spinoff of all the charmed kids, it wouldn't be anywhere near as popular as one with just Wyatt and Chris. It's mostly just that we already know a lot about the two of them, and that would most likely draw in more fans, instead of introducing entirely new characters.
Plus, like Assassin said, it would be far too crowded. 9 main characters plus supporting roles, guest stars and so on... At least I certainly wouldn't watch it.
I think that if they would be looking in to a spin off, it should be Wyatt and Chris centric, and maybe throw their cousins in as guest stars every once and awhile.

I think they could pick 2-3 core characters (Wyatt/Chris, Phoebe's three daughters, Paige's twin girls), and bring in any other cousins or siblings for guest appearances from time to time.

Too many characters is confusing. I watch Heroes and half the time I don't understand what the h*ll is going on. I think it would be better to focus the show on Wyatt and Chris, with supporting characters like Darryl, and Andy.

I wouldnt like a one with all the kids. Piper and Leo's children are more than enough, or maybe Melinda ( their daughter) the second power of three. It would be more popular with just P&L's kids

The reason I brought it up was because of some ridiculous discussions from a year ago: how people were whining that the very existence of a younger sister Melinda in the Charmedverse would *ruin* the dynamic between Wyatt and Chris (even if Melinda didn't actually appear on-screen with them).

I'd prefer a spinoff about one of the other sets of kids, not Wyatt and Chris. We already know everything we need to know about them. It would get very boring very fast. The Wyatt/Chris fans would enjoy it, but I don't think there's enough of them anymore to keep it on the air. I wouldn't mind them being guest stars or even taking the Darryl/support role, but having read a lot of possible Charmed Sons spinoffs, it gets to be too much like Charmed with males and too boring too fast--all the Charmed storylines have already been done on Charmed. I don't think The Charmed Sons would last longer than six months, if that long.
Although if you called it something like Charmed: The Next Generation and if you started with Wyatt and Chris to catch the interest and have it based on them for the first month or so and then used them to introduce the others, that would work. Perhaps Wyatt and Chris would be killed and then the other set would have to find their killers. Or is that too much like Supernatural?
That's the main problem. As long as Supernatural is around, I doubt if we'd get a spinoff with just Wyatt and Chris. Although WE know it's totally different, good luck convincing the bigwigs! As soon as Supernatural came out, I knew The Charmed Sons had absolutely no chance, and with Drew and Wes off doing other stuff, I'm now sure there isn't. So if we want a Charmed spinoff, we'd have to have it be something totally different.
Personally, tho, I'd still prefer a prequel rather than a sequel. Grams, Patty, Victor, Sam, Little Prue, Little Piper, Little Andy, even Little Phoebe (although then the kids would be powerless) and possibly Baby Paige would be GREAT fun! And then if they made it into an alternate universe one where we'd never know for sure what was coming, oh, that could be fun! Getting Jennifer, Finola, James and the guy who played Sam to agree would probably be as tough as getting Shannen back (especially Finola and I can't see anyone else playing Patty), but if they could...

ive thought about that too...Charmed - "The Beginning"...but the girls would not have their powers. However, we could get to see more of what Grams and others had to go through as far as magic goes at the time (protecting the sisters and whatnot). Just not as interesting to me as if they continued Charmed with the kids. You know there are gonna be demons after the Charmed blood as long as they both exist. I thought what Esmeralda said about "baby paige" would be interesting to add into it too.

I like that idea. It wouldnt be any more crowded than 7th Heaven was. With a cameo apperance here and there by the characters from Charmed.. I think it is a great idea. Plus Im just not ready to let go of Charmed all together, and I think die hard fans of Charmed would agree..
