Assuming Wes and Drew wanted to do this and they had the time...how fair would it have been to have a Charmed Sons spin-off with only Wyatt (Wes Ramsey) and Chris (Drew Fuller) at the center of the series?
It would certainly cause issues with people that claim the show became a Piper/Leo series instead of an entire Halliwell family series. Thus, Phoebe and Paige would have their kids on during sweeps and that it? And what about Holly and Brian? Their "kids" are featured and where do they fit in to this new series?

Yes, Melinda and the cousins could make guest appearances during sweeps or whenever.
Holly and Brian would probably pop up as regular guest stars. Maybe it would be set somewhere else in California other than San Francisco? It's entirely conceivable that Wyatt and/or Chris go away to someplace else for college.

I would love it so much. They could have the sons of Piper, Phoebe, and Paige. It just wont be the power of three. I'm not sure what it would be. Hmmm?

Melissa, did you see the series finale ("Forever Charmed")? Only Piper and Paige have sons. Phoebe's children are all girls.

If Wyatt, Chris, Melinda, Henry Jr., the twins, and Phoebe's daughters were all in the same room together, jointly reciting a spell - - I think all it would mean is that their combined power as nine cousins would be especially potent.
But I don't think there'd be any special prophetic effect that would take place, just because they're each a member of three offspring of three sisters.

Yes, I've seen the final episode. I forgot she had a little girl. Most days I'm on here late and I forget. LOL. My bad!!!!!

If you accept Forever Charmed as truly the Halliwell future (which I don't...), Phoebe didn't have a son, she had three daughters--the true second set of Charmed Ones--three sisters descended from Melinda Warren. Cousins couldn't harness the Power of Three, the way the sisters could, the thing that makes them Charmed.

Yeah, that makes sense. Maybe if they did do that, don't call them the charmed ones, because Piper, Paige, Phoebe, and Prue are the charmed ones. Maybe another name or something.

I don't know, Phoebe evil spourn could still be out there somewhere. I could see him returning if there was a Spin Off somewhere throughout the series. As long as Kern isn't at the helm the series should do fine!

That's pretty much what I would want. I'm still blah on a sister, but whatever. A guest star appearance from family maybe once a season, I can deal with. But, I would want the show about Wyatt and Chris. Parents around a bit is needed because we love Piper and Leo. Oh, oh, and if they did go out of San Fran..maybe they ended up where the Morris family is, and Darryl's son is a cop like his daddy, and he could totally help out our boys. *nods*

Melinda wouldn't need to be a series regular (because I agree that Wyatt and Chris would spend more time with each other than they would with Melinda)...she could just make an occasional appearance, or be referred to in passing, to preserve continuity. Darryl had at least two sons, and I like the idea of bringing either Mikey or Darryl Jr. into it. We last heard the Morrises were living back East, but they could always find their way back to California through another transfer. And I have blessed you for those ideas, Assassin Witch. But this is all pretty much moot until Drew gets released from his contract with Army Wives.

I'm game with this. A passing mention and an occasional appearance works well. Thank you! Blessed you back. Hmmm...Well, he did head out to war, so that works...LOL. But, besides Drew working on another show, the fact that no one has taken the idea and tried to pitch it is a major problem. I think if someone were to try to take it and pitch it to CW (*runs*), then Drew might look into his future with Army Wives.

Unfortunately, Lifetime might not be willing to let Drew out of his contract to go work on a project for another network. There might not be anything that can be done until Army Wives has ended its run. And that's assuming that Wes Ramsey won't already be committed to something new.

Actually if you want to see a way where the idea of The Charmed Sons *would* work, even with the rest of their family alive, check out this site: Destined: The Charmed Sons Warning: They don't accept the the idea of Piper having had a daughter while I do (if Forever Charmed was real, which I don't think it was), but except for that, it would work out *so* well--and they also have a "Pre-Destined" series there that includes all of the cousins.

So ljones, do you feel that The Charmed Sons would be mostly a ripoff of Supernatural?
