Okay, everyone. Let's all take a breather. We all watched the same show, but we all have different opinions on different aspects of characterization, motivation, and plotlines. The beauty of a message board is to express different opinions and for us to DISCUSS them. We can agree, we can disagree. But we need to be civil and respectful of everyone's opinions.
If there is a topic you do not like, just ignore it, unless you have something to add or discuss.
Thank you.

It is normal to interpret a show through our past I like to see the sisters as normal women, I know I could not go in for perfect women or super women And I will never excuse a betrayal from the love of my life, so I tend to understand Phoebe, I would have acted the same way Others may be more forgiving, to be able to give others a third or fourth option Different point of view, all licit

I'm not saying Cole is blameless, far from it. I don't consider him the innocent. Having said that, he was somewhat influenced by evil powers. To what extent is debatable, but either way... it becomes a big issue for me when this is the argument used to completely exonerate Phoebe.
She gave into darkness, yet she condemns any attempt he makes to do good in season 5 because he did the same. My favourite is when he's supposed to feel bad for saving a future whitelighter because it disturbed Phoebe... I mean really, I can't believe they actually wrote that into the script for one of the protagonists.
I really don't expect them to be perfect, I don't even expect them to be friends with Cole or whatever, I'd just rather they weren't such massive hypocrites.
Phoebe especially... I mean, just imagine if Phoebe had a bit of empathy for Cole's situation. She understands now how hard it is to have good and evil fighting inside, so she wants to sympathise with him, but at the same time can't bring herself to open up her heart to him again. Now that I could understand. That'd be an interesting new way to do their relationship and would make for some good character introspection and conflict. They could still get divorced, but without all the hatred that Phoebe suddenly has starting from "A Witch's Tail"... Instead of Phoebe hissing and spitting at him for actually trying when she just got an instant free pass. They could really address what happened and move forward, instead of just making Cole evil/crazy again to simplify all the issues.
I mean, I'd still rather leave him in "Long Live the Queen", but still...

Phoebe did help murder Rick. She can't pull the "I was under an evil influence" card that time. She did it of her own free will, even though other options were available.
Of course, it Paige could remember that she could orb things, like the smegging gun! Can anyone believe this ditz was the college educated woman we met in Season Four. Too bad she had to go and give herself a full frontal lobotomy sometime between Seasons Four and Five.

All of the sisters have perpetrated egregious immoral acts at some point or another. Piper was willing to expose and endanger all of the magical world just because she couldn't keep her kid under control. It's as if the lessons learned about magical malpractice and vengeance play in Morality Bites had completely evaporated from her mind. Phoebe and Paige murdered Rick Gittridge in cold blood then proceeded to act like self-victimised little flowers who had no other choice but to allow the human criminal to get dissolved alive by acid spewing demons, which happened to conveniently let their nephew get off the hook from whatever mishap he had gotten himself into with those freaks. Even Prue's hands aren't clean of blood. Remember Whitaker Berman and Ms Hellfire? Yeah, by Season 5 Phoebe's logic who thinks that any and all humans are above forceful reproach, in spite of what they may have done, she should be wholeheartedly condemned and left out to rot because the concept of humans committing evil entirely of their own volition is beyond her comprehension.

The later seasons sisters were the biggest hypocrites to walk the planet. It's okay for them to kill a human being in cold blood, but don't let a Warlock or Demon dare!
If it was evil for Cole to vapourize those two oxygen wasters in Sam I Am (who were in the process of shooting the place up and gunning people down, I might add), then it was equally evil for Phoebe and Paige to kill Rick in Hyde School Reunion (yes, Demons did the actual killing, but Phoebe and Paige set it up, that that makes them just as guilty).
I'm sorry, but the sisters cannot have it both ways.
