Excuse me? Do you mean "suck up" to Assassin? You've got to be kidding. Jackie and I were friends LONG before she became a mod on this board. LONG before the board was moved. Because I agree with her makes me a suck up? I think not.

Nor do I have to explain my comments to you as you clearly don't know what you're talking about.

I think Shannen wanted to leave because Alyssa didn't have her entire heart and soul in the show. Shannen's the sort of person who is very dedicated to anything she does-she works at it to make it perfect, and I don't think Alyssa was 100% happy on the set and Shannen knew this, and didn't want to be with her, hence her saying that someone 'bitched about their job'. I'd imagine that person was Alyssa. This is just my opinion, mind.

Good idea for this thread, btw, I too am sick of newbies asking the same old questions about why she left.

Look here. We like Prue and her actress,Shannen, who portrays her. It is utter disrespect to say that kind of stuff in a FAN CLUB about her. Yes read FAN CLUB. Also, I say this:

There wouldn't have been a 'Charmed' had it not been for Shannen.

She was the star power needed to bring the show to life for Spelling and the WB back in '98.

Alyssa was still at the time trying to distance herself from B-grade movies and Who's the Boss (not to mention a forgotten role in Melrose Place). Shannen was already a top TV star.

Oh, and if it wasn't for Shannen, you wouldn't have had Holly either!!!

Shannen more or less got Holly the part of Piper.

Britt sucking up to me...LMFAO! That's got to be the funniest thing I've ever heard. A three year friendship usually means you don't have to suck up.


I do know that Holly and Shannen were best friends before Charmed, so I wouldn't be too surprised if Shannen did show Holly the light of Spelling Television and Charmed.

First off, I'm very surprised about some people's immaturity on this board, and I thought I was immature. Well actually I am, but after reading some comments, I'm starting to feel better about myself ...And I have to agree with Triad and Assassin (nooo, Phoebe I'm not sucking up ) that fanclubs should be for Fans.

Anyways, I think that Shannen left for varies reason. One was probably Alyssa, whether it was the major reason or not, I don't know. But the point is it wasn't just because of Alyssa.

now listen folks this is getting a little too stupid. why is it always alyssas fault? that aint right. no need for slingin mudd. i'm sorry shannen quit and i feel for you all that are so h** bent on this subject. but things happen for a reason. shannen isnt no angel and if you get a bunch of women in one room let me tell you there's always some trouble. you guys are terrible right here ... some one says the least little thing you dont agree with and you are ready to pounce hard. retract your claws folks! it's to be a discussion of why she quit. not whos' right or wrong. lick your wounds and lay down for pitty sake can we just allll get along?and i'm normally not this rough on any one. just makes me mad!

I think that Alyssa was a part of Shannen's leaving, but not in the way everyone else thinks. I think that it was because Alyssa wasn't as dedicated to the show as Shannen was. You can tell in all of her episodes that she LOVED being Prue, but as the seasons go on, at least I got the feeling that AM was starting to be bored with her character.

Unlike most people I've talked to about this, I don't think that she left because of her relationship with Alyssa. I agree with TOP3 first post about how her ideas weren't being heard and how some of the poeple working didn't seem as dedicated as she was.

Also, I don't think this means that she doesn't like Alyssa and that they were enemies, I just think that SD wasn't to fond of her work ethics, along with other people's.

If you are not a SD/Prue fan, get the heck out of here! Don't go bashing the actress or any other members in this FAN , wait let me repeat FAN club. So if you are not a fan please go away.

I am a Prue fan, I just dont like the person that plays her. I admit, iv been in a bad mood and I took it out on this fan club. I apologize, but some things I said about people in here being too sensitive are true. I do apologize for everything else though.

You know one of the things that really bugged me was how the media blamed Shannen's whole departure on the conflicts between her and Alyssa. Actually a lot of the media claimed that Shannen was jealous because she wasn't getting all the attention. Just the other day I saw a special on Shannen, which claimed that she didn't like that Alyssa was getting more attention so she quit. I find that ridicules! It's bad media like that, that give Shannen a bad name. Unfortunately many people based their opinion of Shannen from what the media tells them, not by her acting ability. I'm sure many people who claim to dislike her, only feel this why because the media has given her a bad name.
