*Rolls my eyes at the quote above*
but Hey everyone's entitled to there opinion...
I actually like the character of PHoebe, In the early days she was a great free spirit, but everything changed once cole came around...I felt so sorry for phoebe after everything cole put her through, more so season 5 than 4. It wasn't entirely Cole's fault he became the source. Though I still hate him with Phoebe! He made her close up, and become different. Then in season six she started to come around again, opening herself up to love only to have it wrentched away do to magic, and then once she tried to use magic to help fix it, she overdid it and got her powers taken away. Season 7 was about finding herself, and a life without magic, and in season 8 she became more like her old self, free spirited, but having gone through everything; it made her wise and she was finally ready to be a wife and mother.
Phoebe is my second fav sister. I admire what she went through, how she overcame and in the end found the life she deserved!

How sweet! Phoebe finally has her nauseating fairy tail romantic ending. Pardon me, while I step away to throw up. Yeah, I guess it would have been better if the writers resurrected Cole. He's dead, and invisible to the living. It would be much better for Phoebe to end up with an invisible dead demon who tried to kill her and her family every chance he got, instead of finding love with Coop. Every time Cole almost turned good, he ended up trying to kill her, her family or an innocent. Gee, I wonder why she fell out of love with him?

I think if we had been able to see the relationship with Coop develop a little more, we would have liked him better. There was chemistry between them. (Don't forget that Phoebe had chemistry with the other Cupid in Season 2.)

I think out of all of the sisters pheobe is the one that finds it hard to keep love.

Seasons 1-3 Phoebe I prefered to the selfish mare she is now, no premonitions, no empathy and we're meant to believe that she can find love? ? I dont for one second believe that the elders would've allowed her to find love, the way she has treated everyone around her the past 5yrs.

Because Brad Kern and his writers lacked the guts to follow through with a complex love story, instead of an asnine fairy tale, which is what we got with Phoebe and Coop. By allowing Cole to turn evil in some of the worst writing in the show's history, the writers did a cop-out.
Or . . . perhaps this was a fitting ending for Phoebe - a fairy tale romance for a thirty year-old with the mentality of a fifteen year-old. And I'm sure there are plenty of 15 year-olds who are a lot more mature than Phoebe Halliwell.

Oh jeez Well I still love Phoebe and I liked her with Cole! But Cole was evil as much as he wanted to be good. They couldn't have kept dragging that story out, they didn t work as a couple long term. And I dont think she was immature but hey what do I know.

Perhaps that's why many CHARMED fans found her romance with Coop rather contrived.

Phoebe, the original youngest sister, has had the most personal growth of any character since the beginning of the show. She has moved back home, healed the rift with her sisters, gone back to school, buried a beloved sister, learned about a new sister, married, found out her husband was evil, gotten a job and now is on the brink of a totally new relationship. Her character was the first one to get excited about the craft and to begin studying the Book of Shadows. It was through her spell that the powers came to the girls. I agree, she has had the most personal growth. It is true she is the one that discovered the BOS and was the first of the sisters to get excited about the craft. She fell in love with and married then divorced Cole. After all she went through then had to vanquish him and finally found love again with Coop. And I think she is beautiful, kind, funny and cares greatly about her family!! P.S. also she can kick some butt!

What I don't understand is why the writers didn't give Phoebe her two remaining powers back. I mean, they could have at least mentioned that she finally received her two remaining powers back in the series finale. I just thought this was bad writing in terms of Phoebes character development. They just completely forgot about Phoebe losing her two remaining powers (Levitation and Empathy) that were taken from her. After the season 7 episode, Styx Feet Under where Phoebe finally received her premonition power back, it seemed like this storyline was completely tossed out the window, and probably in hopes that we, the fans, would hopefully forget. NOTE: I understand that they took Phoebes powers away for Budget reasons, but they could have at least made a more solid reason for doing so, instead of just completely forgetting that she still had her two remaining powers to earn back. And they could have also closed this story line with dignity in the series finale or episodes before the finale to clear things up with us fans who look at DETAIL. But, as someone has mentioned in posts that I've been reading Charmed has a middle name and its "Inconsistency!!"

And what about her power of premonition. When was the last time we saw that? I agree with what you're saying, very very bad part on the writers. The writers we all know have messed up a lot in all different areas, but to forget a Charmed One's powers! What is up with that?

Other than making the decision to move out of the manor (although in a thoughtless manner), I found no sign of personal growth in Phoebe's character from late Season 4 until the end of the series. And her romance with Coop struck me as something out of a fairy tale, in which the heroine didn't have to do squat to develop as a character. It seemed as if Coop did all of the work for her. You know, Paige had moved out of the mansion too, and Piper had talked about it with Leo, they just never did. It doesn't make her a bad person and you may disagree with me, that's fine. I still stand by what I said!! Each of the sisters, Prue, Piper, Phoebe and Paige have all done something at one time or another that might be selfish or turn on her sisters because of a spell or whatever, SO WHAT! I still like everyone of them and believe they are all good when it comes down to it. I agree, she has had the most personal growth. It is true she is the one that discovered the BOS and was the first of the sisters to get excited about the craft. She fell in love with and married then divorced Cole. You're going to insist upon misunderstanding me, aren't you? Is it because I have such a low opinion of Phoebe?
I have no qualms about Paige and Phoebe leaving the manor. I had qualms about Phoebe's attitude when she left. It was immature and thoughtless of how Piper was reacting to the news.

^^ I agree with ljones about her last point. Phoebe decided to move out while her older sister was needing her the most. While they do love Paige, the relationship between Piper and Phoebe was different. Phoebe should have thought of her sister...seeing as how she was a former empath and all.

I agree, tho I still like Phoebe(I'm shocked at that fact too) but less from the latest seasons. All I have to say is that I blame the Higher Powers up there for making Phoebe the way she is now. One thing the Charmed Ones should do before they retire from magic is to vanquish the Elders, or come up with a way to make them suffer.

Phoebe is one of my favorite characters. She has lots of things good for her in her life. She has faced the dark side and still managed to become good again.......twice.She has lost her mom, grandma, cole, and one of her sister's.She is a very strong person to handel all of that.

The power issue with Phoebe will always be on my mind! Why couldn't they have ended this storyline with a definite answer! Did Phoebe finally get her Levitation and Empathy back?

ljones...how can you say that Phoebe has not grown up? You have seen season 1 right? Phoebe was so immature in that season and is no where near that now. Yes she is on a love quest but that doesn't make everything she does immature. She wants what Piper has and what Prue had. That's not a crime. Yes she has become obsessed but she keeps having premonitions or flashes of this future daughter she is supposed to have and she just wants it to come true. Phoebe is not even close to being immature like she used to be. A bit obsesses yes but not immature. Everything she went through over the years has made her grow up bit by bit. If she were still immature she wouldn't have ever healed the rift between her and her sisters and she wouldn't have stuck around the manor this long and she certainly would not try to protect her sisters from everything. You're not really convincing me. Granted, Phoebe did show signs of maturing between Seasons 1-4. But after that, her character ended up regressing. All you have to do was watch how she had handled her serious relationships during Seasons 5-8. It was like watching a schoolgirl who ran or lied at the first sign of trouble. The only mature thing she had done during this period was finally move out of the house. And she didn't even handle that right. I'm sorry, but my opinion stands. Just as I'm sure that your opinion does.

I loved Phoebe for season 1 & 2 and parts of season 3, she started changing sometime after she met cole. Loved her in season 1 and 2 cause she was like the fun sister and they always gave alyssa some great lines to say which were quite funny
I just aboslutely hate her in seaon 6-8, she turned into a s*** dex, leslie (how many eps did it take for her to sleep with them) , personal gain and that baby thing killed me!
