She also cared for her charges as a social worker. In Charmed and Dangerous, we get a rare opportunity to see Paige work as an assistant at South Bay Social Services. She was willing to put aside her own urgent problems to help someone in less, but equally urgent need. Classic Paige!

Spiritkas, what I meant was that, before meeting her half-sisters, Paige didn't seem like the type who was very religious. Paige's adoptive parents were probably some Christian denomination, but Paige was probably too busy partying and getting into trouble as a teenager to really have firm religious beliefs.

She obviously had ceased going to the church where her adoptive parents went. She had to call Uncle Dave to find out whether Sister Agnes still worked there. I presume that this means that Paige had met Sister Agnes at some point. Otherwise, the question seems particularly strange. Why would anyone expect a nun to still be at the same church 25 years later? On the other hand, Sister Agnes does not recognize Paige. So, if she met Sister Agnes, perhaps when Paige was an adolescent during confirmation, Sister Agnes failed to connect the adolescent Paige to the new-born Paige. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense either, for that matter. All in all, this encounter, though dramatically moving, does not make much sense!

Rose McGowan is the greatest person ever, what a good choice for Paige!! I Second That! Paige Just Brings More Laughter Into It, And Her Personality Really Says It All![/u][/i]

Yeah i think Rose's personality fits Paige perfectly, both brutally honest, genuinely nice, communicative, playful and perky, with a kind heart and a feisty attitude too.

I was relunctant to accept paige at first. I believed she could never fill in the space that was left when prue died. But as the show continued i learned to accept paige. she became a good witch and whitelighter.

I know it sounds awful, but I didnt really like the first half of Season4 so decided not to watch them until I would actually like Paige, but then when I did, I realised that they were just setting the scene for a new era of sister... still dont really watch the first couple of episodes though...

When I first started to watch Charmed, Paige was part of the power of three. I knew of Prue, but to me, Charmed had only been Piper, Paige and Phoebe.
I found Piage to be the most intresting of the four. I love her powers. And I love how she really did the best for Piper in season 4. Finding out you have 2 living siblings and a brother in law, and a dead sister and a dead mom isn't easy. But on top of it, she had to learn to control her new powers.

Okay guys, I just thought of something. A huge possibility that would have been awesome.
Imagine if Paige's experience of her parents death hadn't changed her for the better. Make it years later when the Power of Three has been broken. Paige Matthews isn't a social worker... but she's someone who'd definitely need one. She's the essential badass (think Faith on Buffy). This could have marked a very interesting dynamic within the sisters and it would have been interesting to see the evolution from bad to good on her.
What do you think? It would be pretty ironic, considering she's half whitelighter.

I would have loved to have seen that.
What if her adopted parents never died, thus her never changing for the better. Similar to her adopted parents dieing and her not changing. This, IMO, would have been more interesting. The biggest change I saw was that she went from comparing herself to Prue to being happy about who she was.

I was a fan of Rose Mcgowen before she even came to charmed and even though Prue was my favourite character i think there's no other actress that could have filled her shoes quite like paige. she's just as good as being as a witch a s a whitelighter i think because she has that kicka#s attitude

Unfortunately, I'm not so positive about Rose McGowan as Paige. As much as she had her good moments, she had some pretty terrible ones as an actress. I'd really like to know what would have happened had Jennifer Love Hewitt NOT reject the role...

Someone else would have been Melinda Gordan in GW for sure.
If JLH had taken the role, I don;t think that Paige would have waited till the final season of the show.

I'm wondering why she didn't accept the role of Paige. Although, I think that was the time she was working on her music career (AKA her second one hit wonder "BareNaked"... LOVE THAT SONG!!!... came out).
I think Jennifer Love Hewitt would have given a certain vulnerability and innocence to Paige that Rose McGowan never had. Sometimes I think they casted Rose McGowan because of her looks.

If JLH had taken the role charmed would have changed alot, maybe for good reasons or even bad. Paige wouldnt have the same personality or attitude that I liked, without Rose.

Just a tid bit of information for you all. IMDB states that Eliza Dushku was considered for the role of Paige. So was Tiffani Thiessen but she declined (probably from the fact she'd already replaced Shannen Doherty once...)

Judging from the age difference between Paige and Phoebe (1 year, 9 months) and the time when Victor finally left the family, I believe that Paige had been conceived by Patty and Sam before Victor left for good.

Conceived perhaps. But, Victor was already not hanging around too much shortly after Phoebe was conceived. This is probably the time when Grams really drove Victor away, especially after the Charmed Ones visit from the future. That would surey have scared Victor and made him want his daughters protected from magic both in the (70s) present and the future.

In fact, Victor had left Patty twice. He left the first time right after Phoebe was conceived. But he probably came back before Phoebe's birth, because he was still around when Phoebe was one year old. In fact, he was there around Christmas 1976 - when Phoebe was a year and one month old. And Patty was probably carrying Paige by then.
