Charmed Without A Choice

Leo looked with a surprised face at Piper. "You're letting them use their powers to clean up? Wow! Never saw that one coming of Piper Halliwell" He stated and smiled at Piper. "Well, if I didn't do something things were going to get ugly" She stated. They both then noticed what Jake had done. "Great, now we have a son that can summon demonic things, great" She stated and sighed.

Chris was looking in the Book, when he saw future Phoebe coming in. "Hey" Future Phoebe said. "Need any help?" She asked. Chris looked at her. "Well, you have faced Tempus before, and I have the feeling he has something to do with this as well, can you help me summon him?" he asked.

Emma quickly pulled the little bottle away. "No, it's not" She stated and hid it. She was nervous all of the sudden. Wyatt got up and approached her. "I thought you quit drinking" He whispered to Emma, so no one else would listen. "All of the family thought so" He then added and Emma just looked at him.

"I'm sorry" She then said. "It is just that I need a way out" She said. "A way out of what?" Wyatt asked but Emma didn't answer back, she just looked at the floor.

Past Piper looked at Jake and Chris. "Fine, we will leave but if you need anything or see anything weird go back to the manor imediatly, got it?" She asked and Chris nodded. "Thanks, Piper." He said, now more calmed.

"They aren't demons, they are bunnies!" stated Little Jake in a "duh" like tone and he giggled and petted one of the darkness consumed creatures. Future Paige watched silenlty, always having a little concern over Jake's friendlenesss to his creatures, they were a part of his power and despite looking harmless, in large groups the creatures were dangerous.

Paige frowned and tried to listen to the two but could barely hear them and sighed. "You two better stop whispering or my pacifist powers won't be so pacifist on you" she stated as she flipped through the book herself. "Ugh, I don't even know what I am looking for...come on Grams, do that flipping page...thing!"

Jake sighed and looked away and didn't response and Past Paige orbed away. "I know they mean well but...I guess it's frustrating knowing the future and them being so..so...clueless about it, I don't know how you do it Chris, you really are amazing" he smiled slightly.

"Okay, well that plan blowed" sighed Past Paige. "You're telling me, Jake could barely look at us and Chris...just looked so...down...I could feel it" sighed Past Phoebe.

Piper and Leo looked at little Jake. "Alright, we will have no saying in this" Piper stated. Leo laughed. "Well, he is a good kid" He added to Piper's comment and then looked at future Paige and Prue. "It's alright, we know he won't do anything bad" He stated to his sisters-in-law.

Future Phoebe looked at Chris. "You're crazy, having Barbas and Cole already is a problem but with Tempus also, it's suicide"" Phoebe stated and walked out of the room and was walking downstairs. Chris orbed in front of her, blocking her way. "Please" He begged.

Wyatt looked at Emma. "Give it to me" he said and Emma handed him the bottle. "Fine, but I want it back" She stated and went towards her mother and cousins. Wyatt hid the little bottle and went to stood next to Paige.

Chris smiled and gave Jake quick pats on the back. "Thanks" He answered and smiled at his little brother.

Future Phoebe looked at her past self and then nodded her head. "If only you'd know" She whispered to herself, past Piper just looked at past Phoebe. "Well, Chris is either neurotic or neurotic, at least down is a change" She stated.

"Yeah he is a good kid, a bit hyperactive, but still, a weet kid" smiled Future Paige and Prue raised an eyebrow. "Hyperactive?" she asked and Future Prue nodded while munching on her ice cream. "Don't give him or Melinda any sugar passed severn, they will destroy the place" she stated.

"So, just out of curiosity, what our Jake and Chris's powers?" asked Prue and Future Paige paused. "Let's see, Jake can freeze time, blow things up, orb, control darkness and the Elders say he should be coming into his last power soon, Chris can levitate, move things with his mind, freeze time, control light and his last power should be around soon" stated Paige and Prue raised her eyebrows.

"That's a lot of power" she stated and Paige nodded. "Not all of those powers will be active in Big Chris and Big Jake yet, since it is a different time-line, but the Elders said something about their last two powers being important to their past lives..."

Paige watched them suspiously before looking back into the book and paused. "Hey Wyatt, was there anything special about these demons from what you saw?"

Leola was confused by Paige's earlier questions but decided to focus on the task at hand.

Jake smiled and waved it off. "Ahhh, you can owe me in the future" he smiled slowly, unaware of a Dark lighter invisibily watching them, nothing but a voice in Jake's head like Prue had had before.


"Yeah but still...it was weird, it was almost like I was having a premonition about their emotions...and it felt like Jake's were about to turn.." trailed off Phoebe.

Piper looked at the little ones. "Well, I am not sure, but didn't Wyatt mention something about Chris having a power to create weapons?" She asked, recalling a little part of conversation she heard back at the manor after returning from Magic School. Leo looked at Piper and then back at little Chris. "Yeah, Wyatt mentioned something about Chris being able to create weapons using the four elements" Leo stated and looked back at everyone.

Future Phoebe just looked at Chris. "No, I am not going to do it" She said and was able to find a way through Chris and back to the living room. Chris just stood there and looked around him. "She won't help, me I'll find someone who will" He stated.

Wyatt looked at Paige. "No, not really. I mean, they shimered in, they attacked, bla bla bla. The usual" Wyatt stated and looked at Emma, he knew Emma and her cousins didn't get along. But, still he couldn't watch over her all the time.

Past Piper looked at past Phoebe. "Alright, you need to rest." She said and was taking past Phoebe to rest when future Phoebe spoke. "Let me" She said and took her past self out of the room. "Alright, you said Jake was about to turn what?" She asked.

Prue thought for a second. "Wait a minute...the four elements, that rings a bell"

"It's a tale the Elders had, it was the tale three hundred years ago where four siblings were annointment power over the four elements, the oldest was given fire to match his courage and determination, earth to the second oldest for his giving and protective nature, lighting to the third for his wild and unpredictable nature and water to the only sister, for her gentle yet dangerous personality" re-told Future Prue and Prue paused. "Four siblings....do you think maybe a past life for Chris and his siblings? It would make sense" she stated.

"Well perhaps they were minions, but Cole and Barboros are definetly the ones involved in this...so...anyone got a tracking spell?" asked Paige as she kept an eye on Emma."

"I don't know...just sad...lost...alone" whispered Past Phoebe.

Jake lowered his gaze, the words of the invisible darklighter speeing into his mind. "All though...maybe it isn't worth it...maybe we should give up.."

Leo looked doubtful for a second but then nodded his head in agreement. "It does make sense" He stated and looked at Prue. "But then that would mean that demons are not only after Jake, if that fable is true then demons are after all four of them" Leo stated.

Piper looked at Leo as he talked, she heard what Prue had explained and then heard Leo's explanation. "Now, do we also have to worry about Wyatt, Chris and Melinda?" Piper asked now worried. Future Phoebe looked at Piper. "Relax, honey! We'll be able to put it through" She stated and smiled at Piper.

Wyatt looked at Paige. "Let Leola or Melinda write it, Emma and I suck at writing spells" He stated and Emma looked at him. "I am not that bad" She stated in protest and Wyatt looked at her. "Let's face it Emma, your strengths are your powers, those are the ones that get you out of demon attacks, you suck at potions and spells" He said and Emma shrugged in her seat.

Phoebe looked at her past self. "That doesn't sound like the Jake, I know" She stated and then recalled the incident that Barbas caused. "Chris!" She yelled now worried.

Chris looked at Jake. "You alright?" He asked but then heard Phoebe. "Great, they are calling! Let's go" He said and then orbed out.

"But that's just it, I don't think the demons know about it yet, I mean, most demons are old, but this was over a thousand years ago, only a few demons are still aroun from back then and most of those are on the brink of death" paused Future Prue and began to think it all over.

"But it still makes sense, maybe the Elders have sensed something about their past life, I mean, hey ours came back to haunt us and nearly cost us Phoebe" she stated and Present Prue raised an eyebrow. "Wow...I'm smart when I'm pregnant."

"Hey don't worry kiddo, my spells suck too" winked Paige and looked at Leola who waved it off. "I'll write the spell, I have my mother's ability to write spells luckily" she smiled and got a pen and paper and started to scribble down ideas for a spell. "What are the name of the demons?"

"Balthazor and Barborus" stated Paige.

"I know, I think fowl play is involved...and I think it's magical" sighed Past Phoebe but spun around when she saw Chris. "Where's Jake? Isn't he with you?"

Jake didn't take Chris's hand, he just stared at his spot and slowly rose to his feet as the voice whispered in his head. "You parents are dead...demons are after you...you must protect the Halliwells...it is the only way..."

"The only way" whispered Jake weakly as he walked to the side of the bridge, a step further and he would be heading straight for the pavement.

Piper looked at Prue. "You are always smart" She said and smiled at her olders sister. "But your future has a point" She then added. "So, past lives can come back to haunt, right?" She said and started to walk across the room. "So, that means that at some point their past lives are going to come to haunt them" She said now talking to herself. "And if they do, it can be anytime, not exatly in this time" She said and then ran up to the attic, as if she understood something all of the sudden.

Chris was bout to summon Tempus when he saw his mother running into the room. "Hi, mom" He said and quickly hid everything. "What are you doing?" Piper asked as she saw Chris hiding things.

Emma smiled at her mother. "I know I suck at that, I got that from you" She said and giggled. She then looked at Wyatt, who was looking at her as if making sure she was alright.

Wyatt quickly turned away and looked at Leola. He didn't notice when Emma tele-orbed the bottle he had taken from her out of his pocket. Emma then hid the bottle.

Chris looked around him. "Great" He said and orbed back to get Jake. When he got there he saw his little brother about to jump of the bridge. "Jake! You don't want to do this, trust me!" He said as he also approached the border.

Future Prue stared as Piper ran off. "Was she always this energetic? Especially while being pregnant?" she asked and Prue waved her hand. "Ugh, don't even try and understand it" she stated and her gaze turned to Andy once more...just how was he back? It seemed so....unreal.

Future Paige and Future Prue headed upstairs, hands on hips as they saw Chris and Piper. "Okay missy, what you up to?" asked Prue as she looked at Piper.

"Yeah well, we still have the coolest power" smiled Paige, refering to the orbing which was rather kick ass in Paige's opinoin.

"Okay it's done" stated Leola and looked at the spell and read it out.


"Here my words in this rhyme
Demon of pain, demon in time
Come to us, a call of fear
Come to us, far or near" she called out, a spell to bring Cole and Barburus.

"Uh guys!" yelled Past Phoebe as she ran back into the attic. "Somethings wrong, go back to the bridge!" yelled Past Phoebe and Past Paige, in confusion, obeyed and orbed herself, Piper and Phoebe to the bridge.

Past Phoebe's eyes widened as she saw Jake pull himself higher onto the birdge scafelding, one slip and he was gone. "Jake! No! This isn't the way."

"'Their deaths will be all your fault.." whispered the voice in his head and Jake mindlessly walked closer and closer to the edge.

Chris smiled at his mother. "Nothing, just messing around. See what I can come up with" He lied quickly. Piper just looked at him. "Fine, I will believe you on this one" She said and went towards the Book, she then started to flick it. "Chris, could you do me a favor?" She asked and before Chris could answer Piper saw future Prue, future Paige and future Phoebe entering the attic.

"What happened?" Future Phoebe asked and Piper looked at her. "I was just thinking, that their past lives are not going to haunt them when kids, they are going to haunt them when a little bit older. So if we find out what happened in their past life, maybe we can have a way of protecting them" Piper stated.

Emma nodded at her mom and smiled. She then noticed Leola had the spell. Wyatt looked at Emma and then back at Leola. They all heard Leola say the spell and suddenly around a lot of smoke. Cole was standing there. "Well, hello" Cole said and looked around. "A family reunion" He stated and smiled at everyone in the room.

"Where's Barbas?" Emma asked Cole. Cole laughed evily. "He's coming" He said as he looked at Emma with evil eyes.

Chris approached Jake. "Jake, don't do this" He yelled at him. "You don't want to do this, you're being tricked" Chris yelled again at Jake. "Please, don't do this, this is not you" He yelled again, hoping to get Jake out of the edge of the bridge.

Past Piper looked at Jake and then at Chris. "Jake, we just want to help you" She said and looked at Jake with pleeding eyes. "Please" She said and looked at him as she also approached Jake.

"Hmm, well maybe we could have a little help" stated Future Prue as she looked at the ceiling and like it always did, the book pages would fly open and land on one of the many pages. Prue slowly walked over and began to read.

"The four elements of the world were handed down many centuries ago to four potential witches to guard and protect them. All four chosen witches souls had a connection with each element. However, the controller of Earth, after the tragic death of their mother, decided that his power should be used to make sure nobody could ever hurt him again, so he began to go down the path of evil." she stated and paused, before continuing.

" Each element has a positive and negative side to it and despite the fact that each witch was only given the positve side of the element, the earth weilder was able to obtain the negative side of his power and was able to destroy nature, crops died, the skys darkened and he used his power to take control over the land. The three other element users chose to fight their brother in order to save the land and try and free their people.." she trailed off and paused.

"That's it? How did it end?" asked Future Paige.

"It doesn't say...maybe this story doesn't have an ending..." trailed of Future Prue.

"But how is that possible? It is in the past right?" asked Future Paige.


"Yeah but with every change we have made to our own future, maybe this one has yet to have an ending..maybe that is why their past will come to the present, to decide it's ending."

"Well, looks like Hell spat you back out again, but I don't see what you can achieve Cole, it's over, what exactly do you plan on accomplishing?" demanded Paige.

"Oh my god...Mister Turner" whispered Leola in shock, realising her boyfriend's father was a demon! But would he know her? Was he from this time or hers???

"Stay back!" yelled Jake as he took another step back, his face filled with horror. "I only hurt people, I can't help anyone, I killed my parents....I should die too" he said weakly.


"You're wrong Jake. I know what you have gone through, I have seen it, but no normal kid would make it out the way you did, even without magic you over came all the pain and sadness and you stand here today and I know you're parents love you and are so proud of you. It was their destiny Jake, to raise you and bring you into the world, into a world of magic...believe in that Jake and take my hand" stated Past Phoebe gently as she held her hand out.

Jake stared at the hand and heard the voice again. "Ignore the hand...it is your fault...they died because of you" But Jake pushed the thoughts aside and slowly walked off the side and took Past Phoebe's hand. The darklighter hissed in anger and appeared before them and pushed Past Phoebe off the bridge.

"Phoebe!" screamed Past Paige in shock, ready to orb but the darklighter already had his crossbow out and he shot Paige in the arm.

Something took over in Jake and he dived for Phoebe, heading straight after her as gravity brought them closer to the pavement. Jake could barely keep control, he would never get there in time.

Wait...he was catching up to her...how was he doing it? And then he looked down, he was running down the side of the bridge, his legs were a blur...he was running down the side of the bridge and neck breaking speeds. Ignoring that for now, he shot forward, causing a blast of air behind him as he grabbed Phoebe and quickly began to run in the opposite direction as he slowed down, before speeding back up the opposite way and running back to the top of the bridge, Phoebe in his arms.

Chris looked at his aunts and mother with confussing eyes. "So, now we don't only have to worry about Cole and Barbas and well, I am not sure on that one, Tempus but also for me and my siblings past lives?" He said and shook his head. "I don't get it" He stated as he looked very confussed.

Piper shook her head at the same time as Chris. "Alright, too much information" She said and sat down, she looked kind of pale. "You alright, Piper?" Future Phoebe asked. Piper looked at her. "I just need some water, or something. I am a little tired, but who wouldn't be? Time traveling is rough" She said and smiled.

Leo looked at Andy, they were still in the sunroom. "So what's new?" Leo asked trying to make a conversation.

Emma looked at Cole and then at Leola, she giggled to herself thinking about the fact that Leola was dating Belthazor's son. She then looked at Wyatt, who mouthed her to stop.

Wyatt looked at Cole. The man that caused a lot of pain in his family was now in front of him. Cole looked at Leola. "Hi, Leola. Nice to see you" He said and smiled evily at her. He then looked at Emma. "And also you, Emma. Long time no seen, well except of you count like 15 min ago when I sent a darklighter to get you out of the way" He stated.

Chris looked at Jake. "Wow! Great work" He said messing with Jake's hair. Past Piper looked at Jake. "What the hell was that?" She asked backing away from Jake. "Chris, any explanation?" She said as she kept backing away. "Leo" She yelled and Leo orbed in.

"Hey, easy you, being pregnant with Jake and Melinda is gonna take it out of you" stated Future Paige and guided Piper to the couch before waving her hand and in bright orbs, a cup of water appeared in her hand. Prue blinked in suprise.

"Woah, looks like half a decade did wonders for our powers" she stated.

"Long story short, your past selves are coming back to haunt you" stated Future Prue and suddenly paused and lowered her gaze. "The second born had the power of earth...that must mean that Chris's past self...was evil."

"Chris? Evil? Can you be neuoritc and evil?" questioned Paige.


Andy smiled. "Well, I've been ressurected and about to be a father and I am scared beyond belief, you?" he chuckled.

"You bastard" yelled Paige at the idea of this sick man hurting her daughter. "Crystals!" she yelled and the crystals surronded Cole, just in time for Barburus to appear, within the cage, looking around.

"Well, well, well, looks like they left only half of the famuly behind, shame, killing you all would have been fun, right now I believe Jake should be against the Golden Bridge, since my darklighter should have made him commited suicide by now"

Leola was completely confused, she was just mind blown by the whole thing but that comment brought her back. "If you have laid one hair on Jake's head I will make sure you will be going to the bathroom out of your mouth."


"Ohhh firey, definetly a Halliwell" snickeed Barburus.

"Well whatever it was it saved me!" cried Past Phoebe as she hugged Jake, who looked completely dizzy and could barely keep still.

"Oh god....never run on the side of the Golden Gate Bridge at the speed of sound..it ain't fun" groaned Jake.

Chris looked at his aunts. "Me, evil?" He said after he made sure his mother was alright. "Give me that" He stated and took the book out of Prue's hands. He read the paragraph over and over again. He then looked at his mother. "Mom, you need to stay away from me" He said and started to back away from Piper and the sisters, throwing the Book to the floor.

Future Phoebe looked at Chris. "Chris, what's wrong?" She asked and started to approach Chris. "Back off" Chris yelled to Phoebe, who stood there frozen for a second. "Sorry" He then said. "It is just that when I was little, I always had nightmares about me being evil and if they have some connection then I can be truly evil" He stated and looked around him. "You need to protect from me" He added.

Piper just looked at Chris. "Chris, what are you talking about?" She said and approached Chris, who just orbed to the other side of the room.

Leo looked at Andy. "Well, that feeling happens to all of us" He said. "When Wyatt was born I was.." He started but then heard Chris yelling and ran upstairs.

Cole looked at Leola. "No, you won't" He stated and looked at her with firing mad eyes. "And besides, what makes you think I won't kill you first and then go to Jake" He said and smiled evily again. He then looked at Paige and suddenly he was on a cage.

"Chris, you need to calm down" stated Future Paige and walked over and placed a hand on his chest. "Having an evil past does not make you evil, both me and Phoebe have evil pasts, heck I was an evil Enchantress and am I evil? No. People develop, they evole and so have you, besides, you are probably the only person I know without a single evil bone in his body" reassured Paige and Prue nodded softly. "Paige is right, you cna't think you are evil, it was a different time, a different place"

Andy, having heard the yelling too, followed Leo upstairs. "What happened?" he stated quickly. "Oh don't worry sweetie, you men are too slow, we are all over it" waved off Future Prue and Future Paige rolled her eyes. "As you can see, being pregnant has made Prue a loving person"

Paige had Leola and Melinda behind her before Leola could react. "You stay away from them Cole, you are dead and you belong in Hell" she stated and Barburus snorted and pressed a finger to the cage. "This won't hold for long" he warned. Paige knew she needed help, but who could she call? She looked at Wyatt, hoping he may have some kind of idea.

"Take it easy" warned Past Paige and Jake groaned as he sat on the top of the brdige, blinking a few times to try and get his vision in place. "I feel like my stomach just did fifty back flips while being drunk"

"Can a stomach even get drunk?" asked Past Paige causing a smack from Past Phoebe.

Chris looked at his aunts and then noticed his father coming into the room. Leo looked at Chris and approached him. "You alright?" He asked his son and Chris nodded. Chris then sat down as far away from his mother and aunts as he could. He knew what could happen if he turned evil.

Leo looked at his son and then approached Piper. "What happened to him?" He asked and Piper just handed Leo the Book. Leo read and then looked at Chris and then back at Piper. "So this were our kids past lives?" He asked and Piper nodded. Future Phoebe looked at Chris and then at his sisters. "Do you think we should talk to him?" Piper asked. Future Phoebe looked at her. "he needs some time alone" She said.

Wyatt was motionless when Cole and Barbas appeared. He then looked at Paige after he heard the comment about the cage. "Book, spell, cut Cole, potion" He mouthed to his aunt.

Emma looked at Barbas. "Do you think I am afraid of you?" She said when she finally came up with something to say. Cole looked at her. "I think you are, Emma" He said and Emma looked at him with fierce eyes. "You have no idea who you just messed with" She said and Cole looked at her. "Right, you think I have no idea who I messed with?" He said jokingly.

Past Piper finally relaxed and went towards Jake. "Thank you" She said and smiled at him. She then looked below her. "God, I never knew this bridge was so high" She said.

"Phoebe's right, it's a lot to take in" said Future Paige softly and she flipped through the pages of the book. "Well, we could try summoning them or we could wait for them to come to us, trouble with summoning is that it could go either way, they may come to us or we will go to them, even with magic you can never tell" stated Future Paige.

Paige slowly nodded at Wyatt. But what spell? She had to think of one that could freeze Cole long enough to be able to get his flesh, but the potion would have to be done later. "Emma say back" she warned and slowly looked at Cole and then at the athame on the shelves. "Athame!" she yelled and the dagger dissapered in blue lights and sliced at Cole's hand, cutting off some of the flash. "Underworld!" yelled Paige and she focued her power on Cole and Barburus who would dissaper in a blue set of orbs into the Underworld.

"Okay, any reaosn you let them escape?" asked a confused Melinda.


"We need time to make the potion, it's the only way to vanquish Cole" sighed Paige.


"And what about Barburus?" asked Leola.


"....We'll wing it?"

"Yeah, well you may not thank me so much when I throw up on your new shoes" he groaned and tried to keep his stomach in order. "Well, I think we got out bad guy, looks like either Barburus or a Darklighter, now we just have to summon him" stated Past Paige.


"But how do we know which Darklighter?" asked Past Phoebe.

Future Phoebe looked doubtful for a second. "I have a better idea, we don't know what we are against, right?" She said and Piper and Leo nodded. "So, one time when my past life haunted me, we casted the spell where I went and see what happened" Future Phoebe continued and made a pause to look at Chris.

Piper inmediatly understood what future Phoebe had in mind. "So, we can ask Chris to say the spell to see what happened in his past life, right?" Piper said before Phoebe could continue. "Exactly" Future Phoebe said. Leo looked at future Phoebe and then at Chris. "Do you think he'll be willing to help?" He asked. "I'll do it" Chris said.

Future Phoebe looked at him. "You got Piper's hearing, do you know that?" She said and smiled at his nephew. Chris got up and walked over to the Book. He got it and sat down again.

"Remove the chains of time and space
And make my spirit soar
Let this mortal arms embrace
The life that haunts before"

Chris chanted and instantly fell into deep sleep.
