Thanks for taking one for the team, p3nathan. I don't think I could bear to sit through Witchstock again.
Witchstock was a perfect example of everything that went wrong in the later seasons: Critical Research Failure (Penny being the wrong age in 1967), bad science (the present not changing the moment Paige went back), bad stereotypes (the depiction of the hippies), horrible F/X (the slime monster), padding (the slime monster story).
How could such a great show fall so hard and so fast?

Continuing 'Chris Crossed' as a two parter would've been so much better than 'Witchstock' I think where I would've loved the charmed ones had gone into the future themselves after Bianca and Chris did and discovered what really happened there whilst having to evade Wyatt and his demons with Chris who told them the truth about the future which meant everyone fought out about him sooner than expected unless Chris left that part out of course then they'd go back to the manor later on with Chris having his powers back which he'd get another way without the sisters writing the spell beforehand and they all would've confronted Wyatt in the scene which Bianca and Chris did moved now to episode 2 and Piper would've tried reasoning with him which wouldn't have worked then things would conclude the way they did and after going back home the sisters would realise their inhabitions paled in comparision to what they'd seen and so then try to stop Wyatt turning evil future wise although I wouldn't want the sisters becoming demon hunters fully or Piper been overprotective of Wyatt forgetting about innocents then on completely focussing solely on him instead.

What the authors had needed back then was a good book, a good storyline which probably continues OVER some episodes for once and know what they want to achieve with the season!!! Not so much new in between and all that other stuff for once!!!!

Prince CharmedI really hate this episode, so bear with me.Is Piper’s dream world the inside of season 3’s ice cream truck? What on earth is Phoebe wearing? Those boots are a new level. Hey it’s Sheila Morris. Now there’s a woman who can rock a short hair do. But then she also knows how to dress herself. Again, we’re not seeing Richard, but we’re told by Paige that he has a problem. More show, less tell people. Piper is jumping to a lot of conclusions about her love life and her “destiny”, but hey I’m not complaining if she’ll spare us anymore boring dates. Oh here we go. Let’s create a sex slave. Not gross at all! Paige, even Phoebe thinks this is nuts, Phoebe! And she’s basically evil! This is one of the rare episodes where I find Paige to be just as heinous as her sisters. Phoebe: “Oh. Okay, well, I think she would want someone that, um, lives nearby and, you know, doesn't travel a lot.”What time is it everybody? Don’t be silly, it’s always All About Phoebe time! Paige: “Has a really big...”P-enis jokes. This is where we’re at now. *sigh* Geesh, Chris really is his mother’s son. Quit your damn bellyaching and do something useful! Chris (to Piper): “Because you just can't, that's why. It's not natural.”Lots of single parents choose not to date, in fact lots of people in general choose not to date. So... unnatural? Screw off, Chris! Yes good, bind his powers. You’re not taking away his destiny; you’re being responsible by waiting for him to learn maturity and boundaries before giving him God like power! The magical pheromones. Paige: “Yeah, see, it's just one thing to give him an extra shot, to help Piper be a little more receptive since he's only got a day.”More receptive? Why stop there Paige? Just slip a little something into her drink while you’re at it! Wow this episode is messed up! Phoebe: No, we would never hire a guy for your birthday.Right, because THAT would be morally questionable... but this is all fine! Phoebe: Yeah, so why not take advantage of him while you can. I mean, figuratively speaking of course. Paige: Ah, hell, literally. It is your birthday. This... this is not okay! Do they not see how disgusting this is? At least Piper’s initial response is reasonable. Leo: “Wyatt wasn’t brought into this world to be bound.”...Or effectively parented. Ah, can tell Holly is starting to show. We have begun Piper’s sudden poncho obsession. I hate them, I just hate them all. Phoebe and Paige explain how Mr. Right will go poof in 24 hours. They created a human life, only to have him disappear; how sad is that for him? Also, what about Piper? They’ve used magic to make her receptive... what if she grew really attached to this guy and he just vanished? They really haven’t thought this through have they? It’s freakin’ awful on so many levels! Piper considers binding. I have a few things to say about the dialogue in this scene- Paige: This doesn't sound like you, Piper.
Yes it does Paige, this is the first time she’s been in character on the issue since the last scene of Lost and Bound. Chris: I mean, this could be...
Paige: Oh, what? Just another big bad evil thing that's coming after him? Yeah, yeah, yeah, we got it.
Leo: It still isn't a good enough reason.
Leo, I could give you about 100 more reasons... many just from this season alone. Phoebe: Yeah, well, it doesn't matter because it's gonna take the power of three to bind someone as powerful as Wyatt and I'm not gonna support it.
Paige: Neither am I.
Oooh let me tell ya, if these two tried to dictate how I raised my child, especially after their behaviour this episode, I would be making very good use of that exploding power! The embarrassing dinner party. Sheila and Darryl can’t even hide their disgust. Yeah, I don’t know why you’re friends with these people either. Cake in Phoebe’s face. I love that I can put it on slow motion. Hehehe. Piper: We're binding Wyatt's powers.
Leo: What?
Piper: We already decided.
Hang on. Don’t get me wrong, I agree with binding. Even so: her sisters get a say, but Leo (the father) doesn’t? Pfft. So The Order reversed Wyatt’s sense of morality. I’d love to know where he got a sense of morality from, considering the people he lives with. Did Paige incinerate a bunch of demons with pheromones? The hell? The scene at the end with Piper’s charm bracelet is quite sweet. Urgh, next up... Used Karma. Possibly the trashiest Phoebe-centric episode there is. Oh joy!

Good luck with that! Yeah, Prince Charmed - too many loopholes if you ask me. Because we have to speed up with Chris conceiving. Yikes!

Yeah I'm thinking I'll have plenty to say about that one. On the plus side, at least it's the last time I'll have to deal with the Phoebe-Jason scenes.

It's actually not so much that I dislike Jason, as much as I just don't like Phoebe and Jason. I wouldn't say I was a Jason fan, but I've never actively disliked the guy. But I find so many scenes between him and Phoebe tough to watch. Usually it's due to high levels of Phoebe arse-kissing or whatever their non-issue of the week is.

They just didn't have any real chemistry together, IMO.

Are there *any* guys who you like Phoebe with? ? Are there *any* guys you like *any* of the Charmed Ones with??? My own answer to that one - Paige and Henry, and Phoebe and Drake, and THAT'S IT! And like you, that statement has very, very little to do with the guys (who all seemed like the same guy with different names to me, with the exception of Leo and Cole, who both would've been SO much better off if they didn't falling for a Halliwell woman - Leo would still be his angelic self and Cole would still be his demonic self and not WIMPS!) and plenty to do with the Charmed One. Charmed Ones in love just aren't very likeable very often. Oh, every now and then, they surprise us (Piper & Leo at the end of "Astral Monkey" immediately comes to mind...but not very often. On another topic - I have to stop reading your stuff during my lunchtime, P3Nathan - I laugh much too hard and get too many strange looks!

I think Phoebe was the one with the most boyfriends in the show. At least, in each season two, I guess. And with her baby vision, well, we're not there yet.

List of crappy season 6 episodes: Love's a Witch My Three Witches Soul Survivor Sword and the City Little Monsters Witchstock Prince Charmed Used Karma Hyde School Reunion Spin City A Wrong Day's Journey into Right
Now IMAGINE all those episodes were replaced with good ones, great content, stuff about Chris and his dystopian future. Such a waste. Season 6+ basically ruined the show, mainly because of the God awful characterization. Thank God Paige reverted to her old self by the end.

Hmm, well I'm definitely with you on Paige and Henry and Phoebe and Drake. Paige and Henry were one of the few s8 highlights for me. I didn't mind Phoebe and Cole up until season 4 or Piper and Leo in season 1... I completely agree with you on them being better off in the long run without them. And yeah, most of the guys were way too similar. When I called Jason an ego-tron robot in one of my notes, I think pretty much all the men after Cole are very much like that; with the exception of Drake. Phoebe and Coop have grown on me, but that's down to their comic book incarnations, I didn't care for them much in season 8. Haha, I'm so glad they're entertaining people, really glad to hear people enjoying them.

I pretty much agree with that list. I would add Three Blond Bimbos to it though.

I'd exclude Spin City since this episode brought more info about Chris but the rest, well.

The Chris scenes were the only things that saved Spin City, IMO.
