Dude, how many times must this be explained to you before you get it into your head? Yes, they may have intended for Mystery Girl to be Piper's daughter when they wrote the script. However, as I (and others here) have said, author intent doesn't mean jack sh*t. The only thing that counts is what made it on the air. And, in what was on the air, there was not one shred of evidence to suggest Mystery Girl is Piper's daughter, no lines, no pictures, nothing. Piper never once refers to Mystery Girl, not even giving her a name. You're the one who's in denial here, my friend, not us. This TV Trope pretty much explains this.To say it would be a huge cliche would be an understatement. Besides, this is 2015, this kind of sexist idea is decades out of date. I couldn't have said it better myself, Erikamarie. No mother would forget the names of her children.

I think if you recall, she didn't mention Wyatt or Chris by name either. She didn't mention any of her children by name in the series wrap up. Does that mean she's forgotten Wyatt and Chris' names now too? Piper says "Not just to her own children, or to mine..." (Shows Piper giving lunch boxes to all 3 of her children). Piper is looking at her 3 kids and calling them her children. But go ahead, deny all you want. Oh Tim How is it sexist to have a show that revolves around 2 brothers? Isn't that what you want? Supernatural has plenty of female characters but the premise of the show stays with the 2 brothers as the focus and it isn't sexist. If anything, Charmed was a little sexist with episodes like Battle of the Hexes. Yes they are mortal. But that doesn't mean that all mortals are now witches! In the Charmed universe, you have to be born with your powers. Several witches were born witches but didn't want to be, but that didn't change the fact that they were. The Witches that we see without powers are specifically stated as "practicing witches". Meaning that they have taken up the craft but do not possess any magic at all. Remember Ms. Hellfire? The witch they saved was a practicing witch, but she couldn't perform any spells. In fact she froze when Piper used her freezing power. Such characters are simply mortals born without magic. The Charmed ones may be mortal, but they were born Witches with powers. Chris had an inferiority complex with Wyatt when Wyatt was evil and pushed Chris around daily. For all we know that has changed when the future changed. Nothing in the show proves otherwise. Yes Wyatt will always be more powerful but that doesn't mean Chris will be overshadowed. Piper was much more powerful than Phoebe in all seasons other than season 6, but Phoebe wasn't overshadowed. Therefore their little sister wouldn't have to be overshadowed either. I know!! I would have loved a spinoff (Seriously. I want TCS probably as much as you guys) but the chances are almost non existent. I got so excited when I heard about a possible reboot (especially when even Holly, Shannen, Alyssa, and Rose were talking about it) but I heard it's been cancelled Hopefully one day we can see our dream come to reality.

I agree with Betty and Tim to. Unless someone's called by their name like had Piper said to lunch box girl, "Oh Mel hey here's your lunch." for e.g. and she'd replied back. "Thanks mum." Then yes that'd definitely be Melinda or if another person made a passing remark quoting, "Oh you know Paige or Phoebe's son/daughter whatever their name was." Then they'd also be cannon and known as whoever's child they were but as nothing was said in that scene concerning lunch box girl then she could've been anyone leaving people to decide whether she was Melinda or not themselves. Alright then after reading all the comments I've seen here concerning Melinda or 'Lunch box, mystery girl' as certain people have named her I'm retracting my earlier statement I posted and deleting it off not commenting on the subject any further as I don't want to get involved in any arguments which I hate so all I'm goanna say now is the girl could be Melinda or she could not be it's whomever the person believes it is commenting and everyone has a right to think what they do about it without bitching and so.

I think if you recall, she didn't mention Wyatt or Chris by name either. She didn't mention any of her children by name in the series wrap up. Does that mean she's forgotten Wyatt and Chris' names now too? Wyatt and Chris didn't need to be named as they had already been well established on the show as characters. This new girl, on the other hand, DID. How is it sexist to have a show that revolves around 2 brothers? Isn't that what you want? Supernatural has plenty of female characters but the premise of the show stays with the 2 brothers as the focus and it isn't sexist. If anything, Charmed was a little sexist with episodes like Battle of the Hexes. You don't think Supernatural's sexist? Oh, how naive you are!No, a series about two brothers isn't inherently sexist... But, a show about two brothers that has the tokenization and/or fridging of women built into its very premise IS, which is EXACTLY what would happen if they had a sister. Since she'd be the lone girl, there's literally NOTHING that could be done with her that wouldn't come off as sexist or misogynistic. Say that Mystery Girl is going to protect innocents with Wyatt and Chris. Of course, since she's the youngest sibling and the only one that isn't part whitelighter, she won't have the "power" the boys have, and therefore, will need to either be saved/protected or kept at home more than them. Since Mystery Girl is a representative of women as a whole, by custom of the Smurfette Principle, this TCS series would be promoting the idea that women are inherently weaker than men, and therefore, will need to constantly be rescued and protected, should they dare to leave the "feminine" domain of hearth and home. Is this a message we want to be sending people in the 21st Century, especially in the spinoff of a show that was all about strong independent women doing their own thing? But, you ask, what if Mystery Girl isn't out protecting innocents with Wyatt & Chris? What if she's still at home with Piper & Leo, while the boys are off in another town? Well, believe it or not, the sexist implications are even worse in that scenario. By keeping Mystery Girl, our lone female representative, at home while the boys are off doing their own thing, this TCS series would be sending home the message that women are so much weaker than men that they don't belong anywhere but the home, and don't they dare try to follow the boys out into the public! Again, is this a message we really want to be sending in the 21st Century? Well, what if Mystery Girl is killed and the boys have to avenge her death? Nope, you can't escape sexist implications here, either. Yet again, you send home the message that women are inherently weaker, since whatever killed Mystery Girl obviously wasn't strong enough to get Wyatt & Chris. In addition to that, this scenario also invokes the dreaded "Women in Refrigerators" trope, or the idea that women only exist to get killed/maimed so they can further the male protagonist's storyline. If you want to see what a good, non-sexist TCS spinoff looks like, I again, must recommend Destined. Since the boys don't have a sister, it can be just the two of them without tokenizing or fridging any women. And, they weren't constantly having to save weak, helpless damsels in distress, either... In fact, Chris was often the one filling that role. And, let's not even mention the nice addition of DJ (aka. the half-manticore baby from "Little Monsters") as a third lead. It was a fan series, but it was a damn good one. Shame it was never completed... Finally, something we can agree on! I'm 100% Team Reboot nowadays, and I was greatly disappointed when the reboot they were planning was cancelled.

Supernatural has very strong female characters in their show. Ruby, their mother, Meg, and many other strong female characters are present throughout the series. The focus just remains on the brothers. I don't think Supernatural is sexist at all. Just as Supernatural had reoccurring female characters, TCS could have done the same with not only their sister, but their cousins as well. While its true that their sister wouldn't have the power to orb, that doesn't mean she would need to be saved! Phoebe didn't have the power to orb. Heck Phoebe didn't have an active power for 4 of the 8 seasons! But she was never kept at home or needing to be saved. All she could do was see the future, but their sister could have had done much more! Plain and simple, there is evidence pointing towards her being Piper's daughter. However, there is no evidence or proof that she isn't Piper's daughter. I understand she didn't mention her by name, but that isn't proof that she isn't her daughter as she didn't mention Wyatt and Chris by name either. I would have preferred it if we were given all the names of Piper, Phoebe, and Paige's children but we weren't. We were given so much of what the Charmed Ones lives would be. In fact some Charmed fans were upset because it didn't leave much to the imagination. Perhaps them leaving out 6 of the 9 Charmed offspring names was for the audience to fill in the blanks with their own imagination. Would Phoebe carry on the P tradition or break it just as her sisters did? Would Phoebe's children inherit powers from their father? etc. I know! I wish they knew they had supporters! Social media was flooded with those who opposed the reboot but I would have loved it. The actresses who played the sisters said they were against the reboot, but would be for a movie or reunion. Honestly I'm for all of the above. Spinoff, reboot, movie, reunion, I want it all! haha

The focus just remains on the brothers. I don't think Supernatural is sexist at all. Just as Supernatural had reoccurring female characters, TCS could have done the same with not only their sister, but their cousins as well. Oh, Supernatural's had some strong women, no doubt. But, what constantly happens to those female characters? And, then, there's this sad but true flowchart: Any woman that exists on that show has a literal target on her back. It's gotten bad enough to where even the actors themselves have criticized it. SPN's a good show in many aspects, but its treatment of women is not one of them. Again, the last thing I ever wanted was a TCS whose premise was built upon fridging/tokenizing women. If a series about Wyatt & Chris cannot happen without fridging/tokenizing some younger sister, then no spinoff for me, thank you very much. Instead, bring on the reboot! Would Phoebe's children inherit powers from their father? etc. I honestly don't give a crap about the Brood of Brats, and neither do most fans. Most people either wanted no children or only Wyatt/Chris, not the magical Brady Bunch, and practically NOBODY wanted that damn flash-forward to begin with. I know! I wish they knew they had supporters! Social media was flooded with those who opposed the reboot but I would have loved it. The actresses who played the sisters said they were against the reboot, but would be for a movie or reunion. Honestly I'm for all of the above. Spinoff, reboot, movie, reunion, I want it all! haha All I want is something that's quality. And, with the way the show ended, a reboot seems like the best bet.

Yeah, they killed Charlie and I LIKED Charlie.
Now only Sheriff Jody Mills is left. She better watch her back.

You've got Kate the werewolf and Krissy the hunter girl still and her little gang plus Claire Novak to.
Supernatural's very own power of three although that's not saying very much the way things are going there as Betty said they all die 'cause in the end the shows primarily about 2 brothers and the writers can't have any women around at the end can they so all the women go to hell basically.
Even Sheriff Jody will go in the end to probably and they may even cut Castiel and Crowley also if they decide it that is despite their popularity.

They better watch out too. SPN is not female character friendly (it's still a great show, of course).

Yeah, they killed Charlie and I LIKED Charlie. Now only Sheriff Jody Mills is left. She better watch her back. Being a lesbian (and thus, not a threat to the "bromance"), you would've thought that Charlie would've been spared. And, most fans seemed to like her, too. But, then I remembered that Charlie was still a lesbian on a show that's not specifically about being a lesbian. As popular as they are, I can't see either Castiel or Crowley getting the axe. Of course, you just know that both of them would've been gone a LONG time ago if they had been female. It's sad that I can pretty much predict that the likes of Sheriff Jody and Kate will be killed off before the end of the show. SPN has had few women to begin with, and almost every single one of them has died.

Which's stupid really. I mean yes Mary had to die to set the show up and have the brothers go hunting but they didn't need to kill off so many other women then.

This is slightly off topic, but has anyone seen Legend of the Seeker before? That show had some seriously strong women in it! (Kahlan, Kara, Denna, Jensen, etc). That's the show I got Phoebe's half cupid/half witch children's power idea from.

Also back on topic to the original point of this thread, I have just finished rewatching the series finale. For those of you who questioned whether or not Phoebe's children would or wouldn't inherit Cupid powers, I now without a doubt say they would. The argument against them receiving half cupid half witch powers said they wouldn't because Coop himself doesn't possess any powers, only his ring. While I myself viewed it as the ring simply amplifying his powers, he in fact can teleport on his own without the ring as seen in the finale. After Piper, Patty, and Grams send the hollow away in the present, Coop teleports into the living room while still ringless.
Coop appears.)
Coop: (to Piper) Hey. (He spots Phoebe.) Phoebe.
Phoebe: Hi.
Coop: Thanks a lot for telling me she’s alive.
(Piper hands Coop’s ring.)
Piper: You’re welcome.
Therefore Coop is not a powerless mortal given jewelry, he possesses powers of his own that his children can inherit. Anyone else have any other Cupid Witch hybrid power ideas other than my bending will or portal powers? Or anyone have any opinion on my power ideas from the original post?

No ideas about it, I agree that a Coop has only a ring The first cupid needed some spell or potion from the sisters to go back, he told clealry he didn't have powers without the ring
Also Coop needed Phoebe to go to the Manor, so that scene was obviously one of the many mistakes
If you want to write regarding some sort of supergirls with hearts dancing around, do it
I hope that Coop opted for being mortal as Leo

Yes but for all we know all the Cupids could be different. Some could be born with their gifts and some could have them given in the form of a ring.
Also it wouldn't make any sense for Coop to give up his powers. The Elders didn't give him any other charges other than Phoebe because Phoebe earned it. Therefore she's his one and only charge. Why would he give up his powers if he doesn't have to worry about anyone else? Also taking away his powers would leave him defenseless in a demon fight whereas he could easily help out in a fight. While we don't know for certain he can use his telekinesis or time freezing on demons, we do know he could obviously teleport his girls out of harms way.

For what we know of a cupid, he has no powers
In Greek mythology, he was a god pre-Olympic,so selfish and cruel that Zeus asked Aphrodite to kill him. She wasn't able to do it, so she hid him in the woods where he was raised by wild animals making him even more capricious and evil both to the men and to the gods He is the god of eroticism and in the Greeks and Romans' s imagination he symbolized the danger that passion may provoke
Even in mythology he hasn't active powers, he is a dangerous god because passion'ld be dangerous
I don't like as in Charmed cupids were minimized as sweet cherubs wedded to love, a cupid with active fighter powers would be absolutely ridiculous In addition, if he loves Phoebe so much, how could agree to see her grow old and die?Even worse , to see his daughters grow old and die?
He doesn't have to give up his powers because he doesn't have powers and Phoebe is perfectly able to protect her girls and her husband, after all Dumain didn't have trouble stealing the ring

Ancient Greek gods had a strong bond with the philosophy, I remember as Cupid was considered a young hateful god! Maybe Phoebe's girl'ld be evaluated half witch and half hateful, seeing that was the main trait! Moreover, only in Heartbreak City they speak of the characteristics of cupids: feeling for love and no powers Why on earth should Coop be able to use his telekinesis ( telekinesis? ?since when?) or time freezing (time freezing ???since when?) If the magical community is so rich of powers, the Charmed One aren't indispensable Poor Warren family! Years and years waiting for the Power of Three, when a super cupid'ld be enough!

Charmed was rubbish when it came to adapting myths and legend. Take the Wendigo. Here is the Wikipedia entry on it.What did Charmed give us, a cheap werewolf knock off. And then there were the Valkyries in that stupid episode (I can't bother to remember the title). You could be forgiven for thinking that you'd turned to UPN by mistake and were watching America's Next Top Model. And I'm not even going to talk about how the insulted the Hindu faith with that Call To Arms rubbish.

And the 2 episodes where the sisters became goddesses also I mean come on guys what gives although I didn't mind the introduction of Chris sort of. Anyway although I haven't written it yet I've thought up a better adaption of those 2 episodes featuring my original character Melissa instead of Phoebe which can be found here misstudorwoman.deviantart.com/art/Oh-My-Goddess-465882957 on Deviantart that uses as much of the Greek myths concerning the deities and Olympus as possible so it appears better for myself and other viewers also.

I agree he wouldn't want to outlive his children and wife, but we have no proof that he gave up his powers. For all we know, he could have waited until after the children were born before clipping his wings so they'd be more powerful. We just have no evidence of him clipping his wings.
Coop uses both. He freezes Phoebe in time, senses her thoughts and feelings on love, telekinetically moves a chair in her path to catch her, and unfreezes her.
The Charmed Universe almost completely ignored Greek Mythology and created their own universe. We only know what we see on television, and we see Coop teleport in with no ring. He wasn't summoned or called for either. He did it on his own free will.
