I still love it. I never swayed from loving S1. S1 will always have a special place, in my heart.

Still love it. I personally think S1 of Charmed is the best. I like it more because it feels like its own thing and less ripping off other shows or films. The story is so compelling. The Warlocks impressed me in Season 1. Rex was such a good villain. I wish he was on the show longer. If I had it my way, I'd have Hannah killed mid-way through S1. Then just let Rex come back later. I know the "he" that was mentioned in S1 was meant to be the Source or the Devil. But, I really thought the "he" was a warlock. S1 was when Warlocks were very important. So I always thought, the leader was just a very powerful warlock. One who had been around for centuries dating back to the Salem Witch Trials or further. I preferred the show better when Leo was on it less. I still don't like the concept of Whitelighters and Elders. It would have been better if the sisters just got assistance from other witches and such in the Wiccan community. I wouldn't have them as co-stars or regulars mind you. But use them here and there when necessary. I love Quake. I love Andy. I love early season sisterly relationships. I just love S1 so much.

Sandra, I agree. Season 1 had such a nice feel to it. It's when the show felt the truest to the story to me. I really can't think of anything I dislike about it. It might not have been as popular, but I would have been fine if the same vibe of season 1 had carried forward into the other seasons.

And this is especially true after having re-watched it in the last few years. Sandra, I agree. Season 1 had such a nice feel to it. It's when the show felt the truest to the story to me. I really can't think of anything I dislike about it. It might not have been as popular, but I would have been fine if the same vibe of season 1 had carried forward into the other seasons. I agree, I do wish they kept the same vibe of S1 through the other seasons. Especially if they kept the same instrumental music that disappears after S1 in-tact. That just felt more Charmed to me. I can't explain it, but it just had this energy that felt more magical. I also liked the atmosphere of Quake. I missed it in S2. I don't have an issue with the idea of P3, or more so a nightclub. It just didn't have to be run by Piper. They could still venture to a club every so often in a season.

Same here, I don't have any real dislike about it. Yes, there's an episode or two I may not like. But the hate isn't as strong as it is towards other season episodes. It would have been wonderful if they kept the same vibe of Season 1 in the other seasons. pheebs, I didn't realize that the music in Season 1 is different than the rest. I wonder why they changed it.

Season 1 is one of those seasons where I genuinely enjoy rewatching every episode, even the ones that aren't as good. Like, I know The Wedding From Hell is awkward and goofy, but it just feels like everyone involved in it is putting forth so much effort and heart. Plus there's a comfort to the whole season of seeing them all with more structure and realism in their lives: their busy work schedules, their more practical clothes, etc.

Plus there's a comfort to the whole season of seeing them all with more structure and realism in their lives: their busy work schedules, their more practical clothes, etc. Isn't that so true. I really can sit down and watch ALL 22 episodes. Even ones like The Wedding From Hell is a little awkward. But the chemistry of the sisters is so wonderful. I can still enjoy it. Something I can't say about sitting through something like Once In a Blue Moon or Prince Charmed for instance. That's what I most enjoyed about the first season. Seeing the realism into their lives. I really liked how well they balanced out their real live struggles in work with that of the demons and warlocks. They blended well, don't you think. It's part of why I really was saddened to see Quake go after S1. And then when Buckland was gone. I was disappointment. I didn't hate P3, but it didn't need to be run by Piper. I'd have preferred the nightclub setting been just something added in a couple of times a season. I really did enjoy the fashion in Season 1. I'll never understand why Prue's changed after S1. How Prue could away wearing what she did in Season 2 to work, I'll never understand.

I agree with all the points you all have mentioned above. On my S1 re-watch, I've come to appreciate S1 so much more. It's now probably the best season for me. S2 is a very close second.

Still love it even after last year's Summer re-watch. I don't think my feelings on S1 are ever going to change.

Lol only one person on this board dislikes Season 1 I hope whoever that is, will decide to come forward and explain why they dislike S1. I'm interested to hear them out, even if I disagree. It's fun to hear different point of views.

It's fun to hear different point of views. yeah totally. I like when this board constructively exchange our different views with politeness and when its not aggressive. i also like and appreciate how views change quite a lot. e.g. I was a Season 3 and 4 fan but now I am a Season 1 and 2 fan but it changes every so often.

Me, too! My views can change on seasons over time. I used to be a S4 fan but now not so much. I think the season is too depressing at times.

Yeah, my opinion hasn't changed from when I started watching the show, I still love it!
Though I admit, at one point, it wasn't my favorite season, but it is now.
