So far there's no doubt in my mind that S9 is going to remain my favorite "season" of the Charmed comics. Sorry, Dynamite, just not impressed. I can't believe that someone actually likes the Charmed Ones in my signature enough to write a whole comic about them - but then they lasted for four years, so maybe I shouldn't be surprised...
The only reason they did the naked man routine was so that Phoebe could act like Freebie...

Well I think I am going to just ditch the Charmed comics completely. Season 10 was horrible and now these new comics are just as bad. I just don't find much interest in them since the outstanding season 9 comics.

I just don't find much interest in them since the outstanding season 9 comics. I'll keep reading them, because that's me, but I am with you on that. Season Nine was awesome. I always ended the issue wanting to know what happened next. I felt that once in Season Ten (I do love Andy and thankfully nothing that has been done with him has ever made me upset about how he was used, so that was my high point, and the only part of season ten that I did love . . . the Andy parts, not necessarily the parts where someone was responding to him other than Darryl. I couldn't even love whole conversations with him, but I could still love him in those conversations.) And so far there really hasn't been much in this new set of stories. It's just kind of there. And when it's not there, it's messing with continuity and that annoys me. As Es said, AU. It's an AU. It's a rather unremarkable AU, but an AU all the same. And I will keep reading them, because that is what I do when it comes to Charmed. But I will not be at the comic book store the minute they come out. I will not go to pick up my comics on my lunch half hour (and thus not get to eat) . . . and yes, I have done this with season nine. I will not be waiting at the door when the comic book store opens. I just won't. I did these things with season nine. I never did them with season ten and I won't do them with this either. Let me know when someone at Dynamite decides to hire Paul Ruditis to write Charmed for them. |

Is there a Dynamite website where we can let them know about this? If enough people wrote to them, maybe they'd listen to us and bring Paul Ruditis back.

Especially him and Darryl. I guess because it had been forever since we saw Andy going way back to season 1, it was a really nice reunion. Andy never had the pleasure of being ruined in the show, given his short stay. We got lucky. Es is right, this is an AU. Because the story is set in season 5, but Piper isn't pregnant. I hope Paul Ruditis returns, we really should get vocal about him to Dynamite comics. |

Having read the first few issues, I was excited to hear the stories were apparently set in season 4 or 5 dears. But my interest has decreased by the issue, the comics just *haven't* been that great. Sigh.

I heard about season nine and thought it sounded great. Season ten not so much. Also it seemed they tried so hard to pay homage and yet those old ideas are what fans didn't like.

I wish they would redo season 9 and 10. Season 9 was okay but I hated they way Prue was done. I understand they couldn't use Shannon likeness for Prue but now that they can(I believe they can) I see no reason not to redo it. Season 10 was horrible I agree.
I feel like Prue should have been brought back as Prue and as a charmed one. She could have replaced Paige in the trio.
I would totally see Paige becoming Head Mistress of Magical school and the Elders offering her a seat on the elders council. I can also see Paige taking it. She would look at it as an opportunity to make the Elders better. The Sisters hated the Elders and thought the way they went about things were wrong. Paige could have used this chance to change that.
Paige couldn't be an Elder and Head Mistress of magical school while being a Charmed one. That is where Prue comes in. To make sure the power of three remains the Elders bring Prue back. She is to replace Paige within the trio. This way no one is being killed from being around their sister.
With that being said I would focus on different things for each sister.
Piper: Her running a business while raising powerful young witches. Dealing with parenthood and being in a marriage. Trying to find balance between the Human and magical worlds. Having children like Wyatt she can never truly escape the magical world while having a business like her restaurant or P3 she can't escape the human life. Since she is the bread winner she has to pay the bills. Leo can't really get a job because he doesn't really have papers.
Phoebe: Her raise to fame. Her wanting to start a family. At first it was her witch duties that stopped her from really having a family but now it would be her career. Coop being a cupid and being away showing other people romance while their spark lessens.
Prue: Trying to adjust back into society. Trying to catch up with her sisters in the witch department. Trying to find where she fits in. Phoebe has the successful career, Paige is the staple in the magical community and Piper have the family. Coming back from the dead she doesn't have any of those things.
Paige: Her life as an Elder and Head Mistress of magical school. The new things she learns, the new places she sees. Her trying to start a life with Henry.
Ofcourse overall about the sisters power development also. Also create good villains like Neena. Powerful Demons, etc.

I was very angry with how they wrote Prue in season 10. I loved the way she came back in season 9, and where she ended the season. So much potential, wondering what would happen with Prue moving forward. Now I wished the comics ended with season 9, so I could at least be grateful with where we left Prue.
I do see potential with Prue being a Charmed One again and Paige dying and being lost due to the ancient athame. Of course she comes back somehow, but then death would just be overrated and done so much. But with how season 10 was written, nah I don't want it.

Okay Erika gets points for having Shaina call Piper's ability to freeze things the coolest power they have (even if I don't agree I do think it's the coolest power Piper has). I'm not sure what I think of how that conversation came up, but I definitely love the response.

I'm not sure. I'd love a new series. I like S9 and the ebooks but not S10.
If they went back and rebooted the series from the start like Buffy did and Xena did too. That would be fantastic.
But I'm not too fussed. We already have our own CCDOW and fanfics. That I don't need a comic reboot to keep me entertained. But it would be fun if they did something new.

Charmed never had this big following like other successful comic books based on tv shows. It's so strange that no tie in media like comics or novels have been produced since they rebooted Charmed.

Yeah, although Charmed had a great run with the comics, it seems to not have done as well as others to keep going on. Maybe that has more to do with little actual input from writers from the show, and with how the writer of S10 destroyed the comics. I would love them to reboot Classic Charmed in comics or novels the way they are doing with Buffy. I wonder why they haven't, I don't know if its because of the reboot, as I don't think even that has any tie-in medias either? |

The comics were cheap as hell. I binged some issues when it came to Prue and it was....just bad. Don't bring us a product unless there is care and love to it. And if its a comic...if you cant bring me the real Prue then I dont need it.
