Well if the show ever gets rebooted. They can simple erase S4-8. Paige wouldn't exist then (but as other have pointed out, Rose wouldn't want to be on the show again). This would also solve Piper problems, since at that point she was still good and interesting character! Not really. But without S4-8, she'd have a chance to change, grow up, quit whining and be a good and interesting character.

I agree that second part of S2 with Dan was not that well. But at that point Piper still din't jump the shark like later on. Better writing would solve that problem!

The way she treated Leo was horrible! I'll always say that Halliwells in love are not nice characters. Which is why I hope none of them would have a man in the reboot (daughters included). Fortunately Paige was not raised by Grams, so she's the exception to the rule.

And that is one of my *biggest* fears if a Charmed reboot ends up at the CW dear, than on Netflix. Now this is what they did to Supergirl in the second season moving from CBS to CW, and why I lost interest, and couldn't keep up watching with my granddaughter and daughter. I just think Charmed should stay well away from CW, unless the cast and crew have total control and not be influenced by the network dear.

Now this is what they did to Supergirl in the second season moving from CBS to CW, and why I lost interest, and couldn't keep up watching with my granddaughter and daughter. To me Supergirl became ten times better on the CW. There were no unnecessary loves triangles between Kara and the other male members. Characters actually got to do more outside of merely thinking with their hormones. Action sequences became great rather than cringe worthy in a few season 1 episodes. Also we finally got to see Superman, rather than see his feet or his face hidden in the shadows or an email from him, lol. If CW does a proper reboot with four sisters or three Halliwell sisters rather than set in 1970s unknown witches named Tina, Annie and Paige then that's fine with me. Shannen. Alyssa and if Holly want to play Moms on this new reboot, then they easily have a choice to play Patty, Elizabeth Turner, Paige's adopted Mom or Andy's Mom. Although I don't get why CW doesn't go ahead and do the next generation Halliwell spin-off. They have shows handling large cast of characters already. And it's not like Wes and Drew are president of a country or Oscar winners or billionaires that they refuse to star in the show. Honestly, just go with the next generation of Halliwells, but give a special two-part episode in which Prue and her sisters reunite and deal with a major threat. Maybe some powerful demon kidnaps all their children or something. So it's up to the sisters to save their butts.

- I kinda of like the idea of Prue coming back to help Phoebe raise her 3 daughters.
- An interesting way to get Phoebe (and maybe Coop) into the Manor again is if Wyatt and Chris get sent off the boarding school and Piper and Leo living their demon-free life opening a restaurant in the East Coast or something.
- This leaves Phoebe to move back into the Manor (just like the first time) with Prue somehow being sent down to train the next generation of witches - Phoebe's 3 daughters.
- It kind of reminds me of Practical Magic a little when Nicole Kidman moves back home with Sandra Bullock and her children and their Witch Aunts as well.
- It would be great if Coop is sent on some big assignment but is in someway 'like 1' (like Chris and Wyatt explained in Forever Charmed), with Phoebe and his daughters....but not actually there...
- I'm not in favour of erasing any part of Charmed. More so, fixing, or correcting and dealing with the cards that were dealt. I just think for continuity, we can pick and chose what we want without bringing everything back and not confusing the less hardcore-fans like us with out 'reasonable' explanations
- It's proven that Alyssa stays in things for the long-term with TV shows, which allows Shannen to leave whenever she wants and still leaves the door open for Holly and Rose to appear or star later.
- Alyssa is probably the best bet in having a more favourable spin-off as the star - for the long run - and her offspring seem more interesting than Piper's or Paiges
- Also, she is the last pure-witch and her children should be pure Warren Witches as Cupid's/Angels should not be able to reproduce. Each child having one of Phoebe's powers, Premonition, Empathy, Levitation/Astral Projection - removing themselves from being the new Charmed Ones.
- Also, I couldn't stand Piper battling demons and complaining about her life again and again, nor could I stand to watch the show being taken over by white lighters again.

Maybe some powerful demon kidnaps all their children or something. So it's up to the sisters to save their butts. I admit, getting to see Superman was great. He did a great job Tyler dear. A lack of Kara-centric storylines. Kara had a journalism storyline that just disappeared dear for many episodes at a time and was a supporting character in Mon El's story. Which is when I gave up. Kara was far *more* focused on him. And the Alex/Kara relationship suffered to get much one on one scenes. The issue with Wes and Drew playing Wyatt and Chris, is they are too old to play them now. That it would be on Wyatt and Chris and their own children. They can't pass as 20s anymore. So they would be recasted. But some fans *might* not be ready for that and want a show with the sisters. The two reboot ideas were meet with such a bad reaction from fans. But maybe they should wait a little longer for a next generation show for fans who want that. None of the children are old enough now. Nobody but Wyatt and Chris are 13 now dear I think.

You people tried it.
Veronica mars was brought back in a film version via Kickstarter, Anything can happen with Kickstarter. However that doesn't apply here.
Fuller house and arrested development was brought back via Netflix which isn't a cable network. The Episode order was also cut from 22 episodes that full house used to air to 13 episodes. So even if Charmed was brought back via netflix it would only get like 10 episodes 50 minutes each like Orange is the new black. Also Charmed wouldn't posses the same charm as Fuller house doesn't posses the same charm as Full House. Although it is still a good show. Same with Arrested development. Alot of people complained it wasn't as good.
However none of the above apply as we are talking about it being brought back via a network station. Not to say it isn't possible because it is but chances of it doing well when similar shows have fallen are slim.
None of these shows were brought back outside of Prison Break via a cable network station. Maybe 24 Legacy but that was cancelled anyway so yea.

This is a good set up for a post-season 8 story, that doesn't use Paige or Piper. But unlike Rose, I think Holly would sign on eventually. But for how they bring back Prue, you are only left with the option of Prue being Phoebe's daughters new whitelighter or Prue being resurrected or brought back somehow and having to glamour herself from the real world who think she is dead, but not to her family.

Unfortunately, Alyssa and Holly made it clear on Twitter that the news about a possible reboot is fake:(

I knew Holly had; I hadn't known Alyssa did. Definitely sad news. ETA: Went checking, and yeah. Don't know if this site is any more reliable than the other one, but: www.thedailybeast.com/alyssa-milano-tells-all-about-the-charmed-rebootSo if *she's* to be believed, if all FOUR actresses have talked about doing something for next year, why won't the studio let them???

Just realised that in a week this thread has had 1000 views.
I don't see it as Sad news. It's pretty much good news. The networks are listening to the fans. And we WILL get some sort of a reunion in time!

This is good news really. If rumours and fake news get the attention of the media, We are making noise. Since when does a rumour generate this much attention.
Don't count out hope just yet.

Oh man, Guess I missed out on all the fun here. I like the idea of this claimed rumoured reboot, too bad it won't really happen now. But you can do one set with the continuity after season 8, and the easiest way to not show all the children is to just ship them all off to magic school for the summer for training and maybe even have one or two of the husbands with them. We can just hear from them from time to time off-screen or through phone calls, or just a small cameo. Instead the story can focus on Piper, Phoebe and Paige reuniting with Prue in present day for a story. Not sure how Prue could come back though. Maybe something happened to Prue, or maybe she has been missing from the Heavens for a long time and needs to be rescued.

Well, Leo does appear to be teaching at magic school and Coop could be off doing something cupid related or maybe he's the guest lecturer for magic summer school. That just leaves you with one husband and the sisters.

Oh man, Guess I missed out on all the fun here. . Yeah, it was fun while it lasted... I hope not. That's what they did in the comics and if they started it that way, fans would probably expect the whole series to be that way.

Yep that's right Es, but only the non comic readers will not see it that way, who have no idea of the plots in season 9 or 10. But the die hard fans will notice it right away if it is somewhat similar. I can't' see Shannen being that interested in a story like that. All four do want to do a reunion and said many times to fans over the years. But saying you want to return, and actually signing contracts and reading what the script stories have planned for the four of them are too different things.
