I like your points! In fact if they did do the show in 10,20,30 years, it would be cool if they or one of them was the 'dead' or dying Grams and we'd get a hole new set of characters. Here's hoping they use the Will & Grace effect, disregarding the finale. And yes I have herd that Sabrina reboot is going to have a dark Buffy feel to it. So I'm actually looking forward to that. And if it's going to have a dark Buffy feel to it, I'm not looking forward to it, just like I wouldn't if they did something horrible like that to Charmed. Me too 100%. Never liked Buffy, and if they turned Sabrina or a Charmed reboot into that feel then I'm not going to watch.

*Sigh* now that Netflix has picked up Sabrina and the series has now officially moved from CW to Netflix. I found this in the Sabrina article interesting dears.
So with Sabrina no longer being on the CW, does this mean the Charmed reboot is not dead now, and back in the works. But maybe I'm wrong, and it won't happen.
Too bad, I would have loved a Charmed project went to Netflix, but I can't see Netflix being interested in two witch shows happening at the same time on their platform. When I have more faith in Charmed on Netflix than CW.

So much back and forth. I’ve learned to just not get my hopes up anymore. Unless I see an official statement or press release from the tv studio mentioning it’s picked up and on their upcoming lineup.

Couldn't agree more dear. I've learned never to get my hopes up. Especially with how many times it never went anywhere. Next year being the show's 20th anniversary might lead to something. But I'm *still* not convinced until it is like you said officially said from a tv studio, and I find google has heaps of articles making it official.

Until I hear that it's actually coming out . . . I'll just watch other shows (and will still watch them even if it does come out, because I watch the shows I like not shows that are just there).

I will check out the first episode, but I don't know if CW will do it justice. For all the problems Charmed faced in S5-8, I am wary of jumping into it. But my curiosity will see me at least sampling the pilot episode.
Will be interesting to see if the third attempt of doing a new Charmed production will succeed.

Yeah I'd probably watch the pilot to, to see what it's like which if I don't won't watch again obviously and if I do then continue on of course.

Just as I thought, I didn't think it would be true. But it guess it is dears.
Why 'Sabrina' Bailed on 'Riverdale' to Launch on Netflix
Well looks like CBS is *very* keen dears to get a new Charmed. Now let's see how this third attempt does. I have to admit, I actually would of preferred if it was the opposite, Sabrina on CW and Charmed on Netflix.
But, I am curious what they have planned for the third draft of the reboot. The first one in 2013 was a flat out reboot featuring the sisters and the second was a reboot in name only with new characters in the 70's. What will they come up with for a third try is anyone's guess.
I'm not holding my breath though, I wont believe it until the pilot has been filmed and them picked up.

Well, hopefully they've found out from the fans that if it's going to be called Charmed it better be about the Halliwells or someone close to it, like Astral Echo's suggestion was. That other version was Charmed in name only...
I won't hold my breath until the second episode is aired and we know there will be more. Hopefully they're looking at it as something for the 20th anniversary.
I'm also irritated that CBS seems determined to hang onto it which will probably put it on The CW, but *maybe* without Kern it will be okay...
NOT!

There are so many spin off's from the entire series they could work with. The Triple Crescent for example... another Coven. Or the gypsies in Season 5. Max the blind witch.
I think I'd prefer it if a new series was not about the Halliwell's but linked to them in some way.
The Halliwell story has been told. It's time they used the same mythology (or at least the best parts of it's creativity and structure) and relay that into a contemporary that's not about three sisters or the Power of Three or half whitelighters but something more original and mainstream.
Brother and Sister witches or Evil Witches and Good Seers. It's not Charmed fans they have to appeal to... its today's 18-49 year olds!

*sigh* Unfortunately you're right about that, the way Sabrina won't be anything like the original one.
I'm still in the mode that as long as it was about the original idea - three sisters who happened to be witches with three different names, different powers, different friends, different foes - I'd be okay with it. And that's the way I still feel.
Their other idea had nothing to do with that.

Maybe this one will have the sisters already knowing they are witches from the beginning. The original kept them in the dark from the start. So a true reboot would be interesting to see them already knowing about their destiny. But maybe they are better off creating a brand new show without the Charmed title. What if it wasn't three sisters and instead two sisters and a brother, while still kept the basic themes that made Charmed great. Although three sisters would be ideal for me. I just hope they don't go Secret Circle on the Charmed reboot, and make them teenagers. I won't watch it.
