A reboot with the original three and Prue never died. This works perfectly dears if Rose/Paige is not apart of it and declines.
Now *if* we get stuck with a continuation of the series after Forever Charmed, then Prue can't be a Charmed One. Then Prue's role is reduced to a ghost or a whitelighter. They can't resurrect her dears, then she would be glamoured to the real world for the people wondering where she has been for 16 years. Then you have to have all the sisters raising all those children, and you have to also hire the actors who played Henry and Coop back too dears.
Fans *don't* want a reboot with a new cast and a Next Generation series on the children is still too early dears to happen, unless you want young teenage Wyatt and Chris battling demons at age 13 dears. Nope, both of these are out the window.

I can't see Shannen agreeing to do this if she has to be a ghost or a whitelighter, so I think that answer is out of the question.
Doing an alternate-universe spin-off (which to me would be a continuation of the true Charmed and not *its* alternate-universe spin-off) set in the current time with the original Power of Three and their three daughters is the best way of doing it right now if Shannen and Alyssa want to do it, with this setting up the daughters as their own show. If CBS wanted anything else, best to wait for another 10 or more years when others can play the roles.

I want all four back, all the sisters, all working together. All this talk of acting like Prue never died isn't going to happen. They want to continue the show and make it something that is sensical to the casual viewer, randomly slotting Prue back in and no mention of Paige anywhere would confuse people. And presumably they want it to be successful. We hardcore fans would love the original power of three back, but you only have to take one scroll down tumblr or reddit to see that most younger fans preferred the show AFTER Shannen left.

Honestly, I'd much rather them leave Charmed alone. Feel free to give me a witch-based show about family/friendship and include actual wiccan elements. But keep it away from Charmed, itself.

The spin-off show could then focus on the daughters and would be on three cousins, and could be a reworked series from that CW pilot they attempted. Only this one wouldn't be three strangers, it would have a connection to Charmed and being about family. But not sisters but cousins who grew up like sisters perhaps. But yeah, they should wait 10 years or more for that.

Oh your right Es. I understand what you meant now. I actually do REALLY like the set-up of three cousins from the Charmed Ones as a spin-off. I never even considered that idea until today. But this would be the perfect way to handle doing a new Charmed, than that 70s series. The potential for the original cast to guest star once in a while would be great. I don't think it could work with the Next Generations kids from Forever Charmed. Sorry to those fans. We have 9 children to work with, that it would have to focus on just one sisters kids. I think it would be too overcrowded to consider it being about all of them. Maybe Piper or Phoebe's kids only. But, I think this ship has died. The Charmed Sons spin-off never was going to happen because of Supernatural. So that ship has long since died away for good and won't happen again.

If they do that, well then we are forced to have Paige and Rose back in the story full time, and we know Rose might not like to commit again to a full-time gig. But doing this in another 15 or 20 years, when the generations of fans that grew up with Charmed are no younger than 40, is when they can get away with a recast for the sisters.

My rebout'ld be about the original Charmed Ones
Moralityt Bites: when the sisters came back in their timeline, Prue and Piper of that timeline felt they were changed , they felt their link again so they delivered Phoebe from the prison and left San Francisco, using Prue's money
Now they are living in UK or Canada, with different identities but they are again good withces, that help innocents without being pverlooked
I'ld like to see Piper-Leo and Melinda, I don't mind about Prue and Phoebe even if I'ld like to have Prue and ane together

As cheesy as it sounds I really like the idea of a next generation. Just focus on Phoebe's daughters though and let the other's guest star.

And that won't happen. Shannen constantly memtions how the one regret she has is Prue dying. She hated what they claimed they wrote for her for the final and declined. So the way I see it is a series on the originals or a next generations show on either Piper or Phoebe's kids excluding Paige and hers. But this proposed is about Shannen and Alyssa's characters having daughters. I also don't think Holly is interested in a series about the kids, unless the comments she made in the past were her joking. She also just came off playing a mother on Pretty Little Liars. She might pass on this reboot.

I would prefer no one reboot If they will do, then my hope it's happening in our time: the Charmed Ones have to reunite for a new, terrifying threat, and only the three of them will face it The various children may be far away for studies, imprisoned in a different dimension, all suffering for measles, I don't care, I only don't need them I should be very happy, if the Charmed Ones past was different: Leo arrived in time to heal the sisters, Prue never died, Paige never existed, Patty never had a daughter in record time after her divorce In my mind, Prue is a woman who lives well alone, no husband or fiancè in her life, maybe an occasional reunion with Bane I like Piper's family, so ok for Leo human again, Wyatt and Chris I am aware that many fans love Coop and Phoebe mother of three girls, I can live with it even if I prefer Phoebe with only ladybug, a gift from Drake RoseMcGowan declared she don't care of a Charmed reboot, if she will be conguent, she won't be part of the cast

The more I think about it, the alternate universe series where Prue never died might also work on an animated series or a comic book or novel series. Since they can do those still set in 2001 and only need to worry about the actresses doing voice work. I am surprised they haven't considered doing them for the comics, it might inject something new into the comic books. But I don't think the company is interested in doing any stories with Prue in them sadly, and they don't want to get rights from Shannen for her image. That might just be spin.

Comics don't pay for images; hence why S9 included a leprechaun who died during 'Nymphs Just Wanna Have Fun'. Paying Shannen has nothing to do with Prue not being part of the comics, since her contract only covered the TV show. Instead both Zenescope and Dynamite would've paid CBS Entertainment, which now owns the rights to Charmed. For some reason CBS seems to just want it to be about the second set - probably so people will continue to buy the S4-8 DVDs. But I agree that an animated series would be the way to go - I just think if you wanted to redo S4 with Prue, you'd have as much problems getting all of the actors to come back to do the voices as you would in a live-action, which I'm sure is part of why Shannen and Alyssa didn't want theirs to be set in 2001 - much as that would be my own favorite way of doing a reboot. I think the only way we'll ever get that is through fanfiction - which is fine. They seem to do it better than most of the so-called pros.

And I've always believed that that is just spin which she's continued to use. I've yet to hear her say anything about Charmed that I don't count as pure spin set up to make her look better - which might be why they don't include Prue and might be why any reboots will never include her, much as I want Prue to be part of one.
Comics do not have to pay people to use their image.
Everything I've read says that the comic companies pay the companies who own the franchise, not the individual actors. If they did, no comic based on franchises like TV or movies could afford to exist. I'm sure the Star Wars comics don't pay all of the actors whose images are shown in them; the same is true here.
In case you can't tell, I like Prue; I don't like Shannen, the same way I don't like Piper but do like Holly.

But your right, I don't like how they always do stories with the second set. The original set of sisters deserve some love in the comics for a change.
