Will the reboot also be Wicca based? Like focused on witchcraft? Or do they also live in a magical community? I wonder if the authenticity to witchcraft or at least a respect for it like the Craft and Practical Magic showcased will be considered. Since it's a reboot of Charmed and not The Craft or Practical Magic, I have a hunch that it will be as much about Wicca as Charmed was. Translation: Use what works for their script, ignore or change what doesn't. They're more than welcome to prove me wrong, but I truly doubt it will be about Wicca. I just hope if they use other religions or myths that they get them right, unlike Charmed. |

Well, in all of the mentions about Charmed, they never talk about Paige being a half-sister, so I think Macy could still be a half. If they're full (which I'd prefer since it means she wouldn't be half-whitelighter - I hope we never run into any of those, but I'm guessing we will, just like half-demons), it will be interesting to see how they explain Macy having a different last name. I wonder if the mother knew that she was going to die so she gets all three of her daughters together before she does. It would definitely make it different than Charmed and a good beginning. |

Season Zero said yesterday that he finally has the script of Charmed. He didn’t have it before because they ordered the pilot when the script wasn’t even finished
So take everything we heard on the auditions with a grain of salt, since they auditioned the characters without the script.

That's always how they do it. They write sample pieces to test actors and chemistry. Most of the audition sides never had actual, full scenes.

Well I hope this means dears the script they have is way better than anything we have heard so far.
If the audition videos are just that used to audition and not what the show is about. I'm back to being more hopeful but still optimistic.
I guess season zero will hopefully report soon with script previews. I'm looking forward to this.

I know but a lot of people were concerned about the writing in the audition tapes Well, I remember the audition tapes that were part of the bonus features for the Silver Anniversary Star Wars VI-VIII (I enjoy that "Making of Star Wars" even more than those three movies, which I love - ESPECIALLY Carrie Fisher who is HILARIOUS!). Nothing in them were ever part of the actual movie. Hopefully that will also be true for these. |

That's true, we do have to remember many who watch this reboot have most likely never seen the original. Also the target audience of people between 12-20, were not born when Charmed started in 1998 or were too young to remember or see Charmed unless they saw it on Netflix or reruns. I've seen online that the most excited for this reboot never saw Charmed at all. I found out they were young teenagers. |

Your probably right Es. I hope we don't get half this or half that. But if we don't get half-whitelighters and whitelighters are just the guides, will I be jumping for joy. But I'm not expecting that. I know how popular half-demons are with many people. I am excited to know how they handle Macy. That would be a great way to set up the reboot, unlike the original keeping them in the dark about it. It would be cool if this version started with her death being what brings them together, or she could have prepared and set up some video recording of herself explaining everything, and telling them important things they need to know. Much better than having their whitelighter Harry just telling them everything. You can add a new pilot to the mix. I read online that The CW is developing a spin-off from that Vampire Diaries franchise. But from what you have listed, it does look like Charmed will be picked up is the strongest in the CBS group, but WB being the hardest due to having so many shows in the mix. CW is probably preparing in case some of the pilots turn out bad. I remember there was one season where only one pilot was ordered then they had to dig up other sister networks dead pilots to have a show for Fall. That makes sense. They do need to have a good variety to pick from. Because half these pilots may turn out horribly once the finished product is done, but most pilots still sometimes undergo changes before it airs. With scenes rewritten or actors even being recast after it goes to series. |

I'm hoping dear that what we saw in the audition tapes doesn't make the pilot, and it is just rough drafts and dialogue used to cast the actors. I don't like Madison at all and hope the way she is written from these audition tapes doesn't make the series. I've never seen the actress who will play her in anything before. I know she was in Shades of Blue as Jennifer Lopez's daughter but never seen that show. But she has some acting experience that I hope she does well on the show. 2 more weeks until filming starts for the pilot. Hopefully, this means our oldest sister Macy will be cast any day now dears. Totally agree, Granny. Let's hope the script from those audition tapes was a [very] rough draft. I too am curious as to how they are going to handle Macy's half-sister status. I almost wish they hadn't done that now, as we won't get the very closer sisterly chemistry that Prue, Piper and Phoebe. I hope the properly develop the sisters' bond gradually. The upside of this reboot is that, with Classic Charmed as its basis, it may be more consistent with its world-building and Big Bad exposition. I kinda hope they don't give Macy a heavy-handed 'outsider' arc in which she turns against her new sisters and is tempted by a Cole-esque character. It just seems too predictable. |

I think they'll be together by the end of the pilot. If it follows the MOTW formula then they have to be together by the end of the pilot. Do we know if they have already done table reads? One of the CW pilots recasted their lead after table reads. They'll start filming next week I think. |

I see dear that they have made many changes to character names. But I'm really wanting to know exactly how they are handling Macy's half-sister status. That is the one thing I really want to know the most. I would find that very predictable, and you just know they will play up the 'outsider' arc and have her falling for someone. Which I truly don't want to see at all. Maybe it turns out she *is* a full sister, who just for some reason wasn't raised with her other sisters. But it depends on the age difference between Macy and Mel. But funny enough, Mel and Margarita (Hate this name change) also have a big age difference. So maybe the mother had Macy when she was a teenager and had to give her up. We'll have to wait and see dear. |
