A Latina Charmed One! How cool. I had seen her in a couple of things including Nip/Tuck. Although she is 33, she could easily pass off a lot younger than that.
Just think about her living in a college town... and having younger sister(s) and an older one possibly. She's also the gay sister?
Makes me think whether the Mum or Dad would be white or Latino...whether the line is Hispanic or White.

I'm pleased dears they went for another ethnic group. I'm guessing the other sisters or at least the youngest might be Latina too.
I just wonder what they have in mind for their parent's background, we know the mother is deceased, but know nothing about the father or if he is even alive.
Surprised they have cast someone a little older to play the middle sister. I guess she can pass off as someone in their mid 20s.

The age thing has always been a thing. Teenage characters tend to be played w0 somethings. Thus actress might be around 10 years older than her character. That's what makeup and wardrobe is for.
Hopefully the other two castings are released this week.

I guess that's true dear your right, this isn't uncommon. After all, they managed to make Shannen and Alyssa look like teenagers on Charmed. So the makeup and wardrobe can do anything. I guess being The CW, I was expecting someone much younger, but this is a pleasant surprise.
I'm hoping we learn who the other two are later this week. Getting the sisters right and the chemistry is what *is* very important.

Oh. you do make a fair point. This is the CW. But I do think they're getting a little older. Not really any teen soaps anymore on the channel. But also, she does look young.  |

I’m curious to know if all the elders will be different? If some of the original were brought back then there could be hope of them paying homage to the original cast somehow

The "Elders" were best when they were the THEY of S1 & S2 - talked about but never shown. I hope that no one who is alive is allowed to go Up There - part of what made death not mean much - and that would include any halves. I'm hoping we don't have any but I have a hunch we will. I also won't be surprised if they're treated like full whitelighters which (like they did to Paige and Chris) was disgusting to me.

It depends upon who they choose (or I believe, who they have already chosen but haven't announced) for the other two sisters. |

I saw that months go on Netflix. She played Adam Sandler's love interest! And I actually liked her down to earth character. |

Don't know who this actress is but there does seem to be some measure of expectation with her. Personally, I'm going to maintain leveled anticipation because I know this "reboot" could easily falter right out of the starting gate -- that they would choose to drudge up the old "Elders" concept doesn't bode well, in my opinion.

I'm really hoping they'll take the smart route and just refer to them as something similar to "The Founders" and I agree with Es and some others, do not show the Elder's! Keep them off the screen, nothing bad will happen.
(But let's be real, they'll introduce those old farts in order to show off the updated cool new CGI technology. Ugh!)

Like every show has it's I'm wondering if instead of the Rock / Punky Charmed theme music if (because the lead is Hispanic/Latina), would it be Hip Hop Pop R n B, or Soul-ish.? It's fun to speculate. I loved the score of Charmed (I have the soundtrack score in my car - My favourite is one I call "Charmed and Dangerous" and is the background music throughout that episode and in many more) |

Well, Pruitt isn't a Latin name like the one used on Jane the Virgin so despite Melonie being Puerto-Riccan descended I don't think the Pruitts will necessarily be Latin and she doesn't really sound Latino - she could play anything American. We'll have to wait to see what nationality the actress playing the other Pruitt sister is.
