Only the youngest is actually in college. They just live in a college town. And Macy, the oldest, will be a professor(?!).

As was their mother who has recently died. Anyone who thinks this will be similar to Classic Charmed, think again!
All I ask is it's a show about three sisters who happen to be witches. Do that and no matter what else they do, it will be Charmed. Don't do that, it will probably be closer to the alternate-universe spin-off, 'The Perils of Poor, Poor Pitiful Piper' aka "PhoeME and Her Fantasy Men' aka 'Two Witches Plus One Living Whitelighter Equals The Power of Three?' aka Season 4-8. Unless they right a LOT of wrongs, I hope *I"m* wrong!

That's right, only the youngest is in college and 18. The other two sisters are mid 20s and late 20s. So I'm hoping the middle sister has a full-time job and isn't working or involved at the college as well.
Hoping they don't have the sisters sell their manor, I remember the audition videos had Madison pressure them to sell the manor. But won't be surprised if they do, and move to the college town or near campus. Especially if the youngest lives in a dorm.

Again, a girl can dream! Even better!!! The Dynasty reboot isn't doing too well on The CW this season and might be axed. And the Melrose Place reboot years ago bombed hard. I have this feeling that the Sabrina reboot over at Netflix will be more successful than Charmed's reboot in the long-run, and might win out as the witch show of the year. |

But Sabrina as a drama rather than a comedy? I wonder. It would be like they turn Charmed into a comedy rather than a dramedy like Classic Charmed tried to do in S5-8.

The Sabrina reboot seems be more comics related than the 90s show. So it seems like it'll be pretty different from the comedy. I would watch that.
Charmed. Ain't gonna lie. At this point, I'm rooting for failure. Until they do something that surprises me in a great way.

Well at least with Sabrina they are completely changing it 180 from a comedy to a drama, that might be how you do a proper reboot. All they are really doing is keeping the names and basing it on the comics, and the show is titled The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina ditching the Teenage Witch from its title.
I just hope with Sabrina as a drama, they won't reboot Charmed as a proper comedy. But with them having demons involved, I'm not so sure.
But at this point, they really need to put me on the edge of my seat and make me excited so I keep watching the series. If they bring back far too many things from Classic Charmed, we will all be bored. At least Sabrina is trying to be different, and not copy too much from the 90s.

Wow, that is going to be so cool to watch. Just think of the challenges a professor would go through all of a sudden possessing magical powers. I am also looking forward to watching the complications that will come with having a partner. It will be interesting to see if one of the sisters is a lesbian. This would definitely root the new show in modern times. Just occurred to me, this reboot could have these sisters possess different powers from the original. This could also be a way to update the show, gosh there are so many wonderful possibilities. Too bad there wont be a theme song, I used to hear it from another room and come running...

Only one more to go, and that is Macy the oldest sister. I'm very curious who she will be, and if she will be a completely different race than the other two.
The chemistry between these women is crucial and important for this show to be a success. Will they strike lightning twice with how great Shannen, Alyssa, and Holly were? Maybe? Maybe not?

I hope that was more important than both looking Latina. After all, Rose looked like a Halliwell, but the second set never had the chemistry the first set had. The second set never felt like sisters, which was okay since Paige was a half-sister who wasn't raised with them.
That worries me the most about the reboot. If the older sister wasn't raised with her younger sisters/half-sisters, will they try to make it seem like she's a sister right away like they did with Paige? That never felt right to me.

If the sisters have different powers then they'd still need to find their innocents so either one of them as other members have said would have to have premonitions or something similar with the same effect or if not then the writers would have to find an external way of them finding out danger obviously.

The way it's set up, I'll bet innocents won't even be mentioned. If they were, they would've let one of the powers be premonitions so they'd know about the innocents who needed help. I have a hunch it will be all about battling demons and the patriarchy, which I hope is the Elders.
I keep saying it. With the addition of the half-sister, I think this will be more of a reboot of S4-8 where innocents meant next to nothing, than S1-3 when they did. Even the one sister being upset because of a death sounds like Piper at the start of that period. The difference is it's a mother who's died, not an older sister.
And if all of this is the case, I won't watch it for very long.
