The major thing I want to find out is what they'll do with the older sister/half-sister. Will they make her a part of the family, treat her like a sister right away, or will it take a while for the bond to form? Will they be able to vanquish high-level demons right away (and will the villains be demons and not warlocks - especially will the only black person be a demon...) Will there be hybrid powers? Any of those will turn me off, the way they turned me off during Classic Charmed's Season Four.

Why is the reboot named Charmed anyway? Its horrible to the fans to name it after Charmed. A majority of the time reboots rename their projects to something else like 24, Star Trek or Sabrina I think is under a different title now.

Well, it's in the same universe so it is linked to Charmed. I think they should call it Charmed: New Witches or Charmed in (insert city here). Personally, I don't think that most of the original fan base will like the new one since it will be in a college setting. Most of us are older than that. But, it might be good if only one of the witches is actually college aged. However, I think it will be heavily be influenced by today's trends and that might also make it feel much younger to us. I have no issue with different witches being in the same universe. I like that a whole lot better than it being set in 70s and having nothing to do with Grams. It would have totally been cool to get a Grams show about her growing up between the ages of 9-15ish and it be called "Pre-Charmed: A Penny Halliwell Story".

However, these reboots and remakes are never for the original audience. They are for the current young generations. That's why the setting is in a college town. That's what's popular now. We, as current Charmed fans would love a Grams prequel but the new audience would probably ignore it because they wouldn't have any reason to care about her. This is why they are putting new witches and inserting them into the Charmed universe.

I'd adore a prequel series on Grams. Especially if it includes Patty and Victor as well, which wouldn't be one when she was growing up, but a series I'd love. Of course, it would most likely ignore some Charmed canon, especially if it includes family members we have never meet in the series. Since I've always believed Grams had Patty as a teenager, although we truly never got an indication of the ages of Patty and Grams on Classic Charmed since family trees and such always got it wrong.

Too bad the reboot doesn't have an additional title next to its name. I heard the Roswell reboot does have an additional title and of course, Sabrina's reboot does too, but that one is way different than the 90s comedy.

It might be called Roswell High which is what the books are titled. I figure an early Grams show might give more leeway, rather than one with Patty. Maybe it would center upon Penny's parents trying to raise this super powerful witch and how she becomes so powerful.

I'm not sure I can see a full series for Grams, but a mini-series about Penny through the years...I like that idea.

I noticed that also in the title “New Mexico”. Kept wondering if it’s an entirely new storyline/plot

Yeah, a mini-series or one-off season would be fine for Grams.

Season 6 annoyed me. The way Chris behaved annoyed me. Over focusing on Piper and Leo's relationship over sisterhood in later seasons annoyed me. But somehow these two non-moving pictures are a million times better than the 4 minute reboot trailer.

If we can't get Shannen, Holly, Alyssa and Rose to get along long enough to give us fans something for the 20th anniversary of 'Something Wicca This Way Comes', I'd take this reunion. Just for one special, mind you, not a whole series, but, yeah, as a special, I'd take it - especially if Wyatt and Prudence Melinda aren't part of the picture as they aren't here.

Yet another Charmed reboot member firing back at Holly. Not that this isn't the first time it's happened. I remember the actor playing Galvin (forgot his name) was very rude to Classic Charmed fans and didn't one of the actresses call the Classic Charmed actors old, LOL considering the middle sister's actress is the same age they all were when Classic Charmed ended.

I'm seeing more and more than Lupa was right - in the latter seasons, Holly really did play Piper as herself, thinking that she was a wonderful character when she was anything but.

*sigh* And Holly used to be my favorite of the actresses in Real Life. *sigh* There goes that delusion!

I guess this is one thing that Social Media does, it allows us fans to see the true colors of our stars. Something we wouldn't get 20 years ago before Social Media became a thing.

Now, I may not have liked Piper very much in some of the later seasons. But now, I just can't help but see Holly. I guess Holly is just the type of person who isn't happy unless she has something to complain about.

Couldn't agree more, Piper and Holly are one in the same from the later seasons. On Pretty Little Liars, I noticed a little bit of Piper or Holly came through especially when she gets upset - but at least her character Ella is at least more tolerable than Piper. LOL

Holly really does need to get a grip. Perhaps she would've got her reunion if she and her "sisters" weren't clawing each other's eyes out every other week. I love Holly as an actress, but she's coming across as very bitter and unsporting over this reboot.

Honestly, I'm Team Alyssa these days, the other three are such drama. Although I do have sympathy for Rose's and Shannen's recent troubles, of course.

I used to be Team Holly, but now I'm Team S1-2 Charmed (the characters, not the actors) and not much else. I'm so disgusted that they're preventing us from getting anything for the anniversary. Couldn't they be actors and PRETEND to get along, just for that?

And Brad S has a point....they had 5 years to have a 4 Actress Reunion and then 12 years after that.

If there is demand for a witch show, and esp Charmed, then someone else is going to try and bring to life something similar.

Although I wish they did use a different coven (triple crescent, not triquetra) and refered to them as something different to the Charmed Ones.

Holly needs to get over it. In also watching some of the convention she comes off as quite unlikable, esp with her interactions with Brian.

Makes me think that it wasn't just Shannen vs. Alyssa but that Holly did have a greater influencing power than what I had already thought.

And you guys are right. Piper and Phoebe become so much like Holly and Alyssa towards the end of the series I feel.

Well, we know how Holly felt when Shannen was fired, and almost walked. But Shannen talked her into staying, so she just kept quiet until after the show ended.

Holly has always been closest with Shannen, but you barely or never see any of them hanging with Holly these days. She just attends events with Brian the most and that's it.

Seems to me that social media and these Charmed conventions really have brought out the true Holly, or she just kept everything in for so long. She really comes across as unlikable, petty and someone who just complains all the time.

She just needs to get over it. Least Shannen and Rose have just moved on with their lives and focusing on other things, and not worrying about this reboot.

Well look what came out today, I guess Holly got in trouble or shes changing her tune now.

Original Charmed star Holly Marie Combs has been fairly outspoken about her thoughts on the upcoming CW reboot and is speaking out again, this time in response to an article which she believes misrepresented her comments on the new series.

Combs, who played Piper Halliwell in the original, posted a screenshot of her full response on Twitter, writing that she appreciates “the jobs and opportunities the Charmed reboot has created,” adding “But I will never understand what is fierce, funny, or feminist in creating a show that basically says the original actresses are too old to do a job they did 12 years ago. I hope the new show is far better than the marketing so the true legacy does remain.”

Combs continued, “Reboots fair better when they honor the original as opposed to taking shots at the original. Reboots also do better when they listen to a still passionate fan base which is what it’s all about, isn’t it? That’s why we do reboots. The fans are why we all get to do what we do. So we wish them well and hope for success.”
