Did anyone else find them adorable? I love Piper/Leo but Piper and Mark had so much chemistry.

I loved them, too bad he didn't stay. Their connection through food was great and would have really benefitted Piper in the long run with her true passion in life. If Mark had just been someone she meets while working at Quake or something that may have been great to see them together.
But many of the sister's one-time love interests were great. I guess the writers didn't have a chance to ruin them, and why some fans like the ones that didn't last long.

I loved their connection through food as well plus he was a mortal who understood magic. Not that I don't like Piper/Leo but they did kinda ruin it by S8...then again most things were ruined then.

I do think dears they would have made a very nice couple. Mark would be the perfect mortal for Piper, one who understands her love of cooking and also magic.

Maybe he could have been their whitelighter instead of Leo. He has stuff in common with Piper and they both have a heart of gold.

Probably tough at first. I mean Leo was an experienced whitelighter and even he stuffed up especially in certain episodes.

I love Piper/Mark. Much more than Piper & Leo, actually.

I do, too. But I wouldn't want him to be their whitelighter for all of the problems having a whitelighter created - unless he was only one for that first season.
But if there was a way that he could just be Piper's lover for the entire series by continuing to be a ghost who could protect and guide but never heal or orb, and because he's always just a ghost who only the Charmed Ones could see, so he could never become her husband and or father to her children, she'd be a better person since she'd never be a wife or mother, (both at which she sucked at), that would've been so great!

I don't think him being whitelighter would be a good move, we would still have problems. Even if Mark may have been a much better fit for Piper.
I'm sure they can find a way keep him for the whole series. Like your suggestion Es.

I loved Piper/Mark. Mark did bring the best out of piper. She was always behaving all proper and polite and talking all classy around him.
Even Piper and Fireman Greg were better than Piper/Leo.

This was one of my favorite Charmed ships despite being so minor. I liked how they had common interests and their personalities just seemed to mesh so well.

Yeah they meshed well with common interests. He would have been perfect if he was in place of Dan and became her permanent love interest. If someone could find a way to keep him even as a ghost around longterm. I'd love to hear ideas.

Maybe they could've come up with a spell that would tie him to some kind of object, so when they wanted to summon him they could use the object to get him there immediately versus having to say a spell to summon him? And the object could be small so that it was easy to carry around, and when he's not hanging around them he is free to do whatever he does in the afterlife.

Thanks, West! I've played around with Mark being brought back as a cupid. Don't know if that would appeal to anyone? I'd love to see that! That could be interesting. I've never seen Mark being Cupid before. I'd love to see how it would play out. If Mark came back in Season 2, or if he came back in many later seasons and Piper just stayed single without Leo.

If Mark came back in Season 2, or if he came back in many later seasons and Piper just stayed single without Leo. Same! The more I rewatch the earlier seasons, the more I realize that there were a lot more restrictions on Whitelighters (what they could and could not do, but sensible things rather than "no eating on the job" or whatever) earlier in the show that prevented the overuse of healing and cosmic taxiing, and that Love Hurts was one of multiple episodes where Piper and Leo's relationship could have been ended perfectly. If it had been ended in Love Hurts, then I could totally see Mark coming back as a Cupid or something and him and Piper ending up together.

If it had been ended in Love Hurts, then I could totally see Mark coming back as a Cupid or something and him and Piper ending up together. As I always said, I wished Leo had never returned after Love Hurts and Andy stayed. Obviously, Leo and whitelighters were supposed to be short-term but when the actor playing Andy left, and some loved Leo and Piper, they kept him on. It meant they changed all the mythology they had started with. With Leo out of the picture, that means No Elders. I wonder if without a whitelighter and the established mythology that whitelighters are not supposed to be found out and staying short-term. That we ever get anything more on them. I don't think so. Once Leo stayed dear, that meant altering the already done rules with whitelighters in S1. Suddenly they can have children, and eat and so on. I still believe dear, that Morality Bites was written with Andy and Prue and not Piper and Leo. It felt so forced when Leo was gone and suddenly reappears in Morality Bites and they are together. The Painted World was filmed and written as the second episode, with the Piper/Dan story starting up. But the episode was pushed forward, wondering if early signs of disagreements between Connie and Brad happened here over keeping Leo? As some members pointed out in a thread a while back, Piper's character changed because of what she went through seeing the future and seeing her daughter Melinda. It had a big influence on her life going forward. Now, If Mark was Piper's endgame. That would be great. Now I don't think Mark being a whitelighter would help. although he fits better with Piper and has better chemistry, we still run into the same problems Piper/Leo faced. I'd love to see what someone could come up with Mark as Cupid. Although how he becomes one, I don't know?
