They really do look very bad.
I wonder if the budget for the pilot was very poor, and it might improve now, but since they reshot scenes for the pilot, I guess that isn't the case?

Why would "CHARMED" have to wait 30 to 40 years for a reboot? Hell, Warner Bros. did three versions of "THE MALTESE FALCON" in a space of 10 years. And the third film proved to be the best. "BATTLESTAR GALACTICA" was rebooted some 25-26 years after the original series. No one complained.
I'm not saying that this new version of "CHARMED" will be better than the old show. I honestly don't know if it will or not. I hope that it is, considering how the quality of the first show went down the drain after three to four seasons.

Is it just me or have they reshot the Power Discoveries scenes? Mel's "What is going on?" line seems less cheesy and OTT. Or perhaps it's just the way they've cut the trailer.
Incidentally, I've just started reading Labyrinth Lost, a novel about three sisters 'brujas'. I'm really enjoying it and it's a pity they didn't adapt THIS novel for TV as it would've been a good (probably better) representation of Latina witchcraft culture. The sisters are younger though, all in high school, but it's like a nice mix between 'Charmed', 'the Craft' and 'Practical Magic'. Also, it reminds me of our 'Elemental Charmed' reboot as their mother is also a key character. I'd recommend it for those who like reading.

Funny enough dear that definitely is right up The CW's alley. Especially the high school sisters.

A Bewitched reboot! What???
Well, at least they waited nearly 50 years until they did a reboot series. But why does Hollywood need to keep on using old classic shows in order to have diversity and a non-white lead character?
I can't see Bewitched performing well on ABC. Didn't the Charles Angels and Bionic Woman reboots not make it past one season and failed.

Yes both Chalie’s Angels and bionic woman failed. And personally I liked the new bionic woman.
I think for studios it’s cheaper to reboot old shows. They can capitalize on old easily accessible material and loyal fan bases.

I never got a chance to see Bionic Woman, the reboot not the original.
I think they believe its easier to cause more traction and buzz with the name of an older television series than it is with a new one. Otherwise, they'd have changed the name of the reboot.
We'll see how long it lasts, I think being on The CW, it will go past the first season. But I just am not convinced it will get the eight seasons Charmed had or even Bewitched. I doubt it will last nine years and become the longest running Witch themed series.

You guys really don't want to give this new show a chance, do you? Well, I guess we'll see how other television viewers will feel.

The way they are promoting this reboot hasn't been meet with praise. It's all about the political, LGBT and diversity. Those are fine. But what's important is getting to know the sisters as people.
I feel I barely can remember names of whos who, or who these new sisters are. I just see Metoo and all the things they think are important more.
Maybe it will turn out good. We can hope. It just hasn't been great getting people's attention.
Our minds might change when most of us watch. But so far it has a LONG way to prove to many it is worth the time.
This show is really for non fans of the Charmed we loved and grew up with. This is for the new younger generations mostly.

I have absolutely no problem with diverse casting but all these reboots sound like they're trying WAY too hard. They are like parodies of the Far Left. They really ought to create new diverse characters and give them a chance to become iconic in their own right, instead of rehashing popular white shows/characters.

I have absolutely no problem with diverse casting but all these reboots sound like they're trying WAY to hand. They are like parodies of the Far Left. They really ought to create new diverse characters and give them a chance to become iconic in their own right, instead of rehashing popular white shows/characters. That's true. Why not something new. Hollywood doesn't want that at all. Wayward Sisters was some Supernatural spinoff on five female leads that was passed for creative differences but you don't see anything rebooted being passed this year that had a female lead. They must think popular classic titles will do better than risking it on something new. Why else are Charmed, Buffy, Sabrina and Bewitched all being rebooted or developed in the exact same year.

Myself personally I would've preferred Wayward Sisters over anything being rebooted now actually.

So that is the manor and book of shadows it seems. I don't mind the design of the book, I'm thrilled they didn't just take the Classic Charmed book of shadows design and have gone with their own.

Macy looks so tall. Good she isn't in the middle otherwise she would make me think shes the mother. She looked that way in one of the earlier cast photos of the three at some event.

I am actually really put of the new Charmed now and I was originally the one who was more excited about it.
It sounds like a cry for feminism.
