People reported the old account to Twitter, so I went and copied the new account stuff, in case the links other members posted from the old one doesn't work on past pages.

Hopefully we'll just know of the Source's existence but won't actually see any direct involvement from him until a few seasons in.
I'm saying 'he' but wouldn't it be fun if the Source was female this time?

Wait how will Reboot Piper use her powers if she doesnt use her hands to freeze? First image that popped into my mind was Hiro Nakamura from Heroes. Maybe it'll be similar to how he does it. Just a guess. I'm actually interested in the idea of Maggie being quite a bit younger and resistant to being a witch due to social pressure growing up. If they're going to have a college setting, that's an angle I like.

I just hope that saving innocents is still a big aspect of the show. Being Charmed aint just for fun.
And they already 8 years of material to work with so things like magic school (if they decide to do it) should be eased in and alluded to.

8 years of material? Oh I hope they don’t recycle any classic charmed episodes! They need to be original. I can already picture holly seething 😤 if that happened

I wouldn't want to tune into a reboot that just rehashes what we already saw before. They need to be original and different. Fans who never saw the show before might like it. But Classic Charmed fans will see the difference and get bored I bet. I hope they add something we never saw before. Think more outside the box.

There are certain storylines/themes I expect to see again. We are already getting Whitelighters, The Source, etc...the Magic School would be the same thing. Just as I expect that if the series goes on long enough to get a past episode, a future episode, an "evil" version of the Charmed Ones.

Yeah, like CharmedFaith says, I think they'll be some themes that are used from the original, but I highly doubt they'll remake old episodes or anything like that. Even if it wasn't a reboot, you'd have some overlap with the mythology just by it being the same genre.
I mean, we know they'll be a new Source, but how they'll interpret that is anyone's guess. He's The Source of All Evil, the prototypical big bad; they can easily do something new with that. If it doesn't turn out to be a half melty faced guy with a micro beard, I'm good. I'm hoping it'll be more of an actual source, as opposed to a job title like it ended up being in season 4.
The plot of the pilot, aside from them reuniting and awakening their powers, sounds completely different.

So this is college show for most likely the whole series just about. The two younger sisters being 18-20 and the half sister is 30. Wow a massive age gap.
How do people feel about this?

That is a MASSIVE age gap to have. Having a half sister is already bad enough for 10 years apart? Already sounds very bad and just so disjointed.

Names are official. And have a name for Macy.
All it says is that Mel is "over 20" and that Macy is "around 30." So I would be less than a ten year gap. Mel could be 22 and Macy could be 29.
We don't know if Mel is still in college, and even if so, undergrad or graduate school. Though I don't know why they aren't outright stating ages....

Looks like the girls' age are set to be as inconsistent as they were on Classic Charmed Honestly, why can they just make a decision and stick to it, just make them 20, 25 and 30 if you have to it. Easy enough.

Easy enough. I hate inconsistencies with ages. Why can't they just figure it out? Are they seriously considering not having it stick, because they want to see the chemistry and then suddenly decide if they need to age down or age up a character? Maybe it has to do with what they have in mind for the college setting. Because I feel that Mel is in college too if her other sisters work and attend here. Maybe they haven't set Mel's age so they can figure out if the college setting is longterm they will keep Mel in college longer, cheat and suddenly give her an age later. It seems that the reboot writers want the college setting to be a big part of the whole series. Why else go to all the trouble to have all of them being in this environment or work here?

I don't know where that account is getting the information from and I don't think they're official or verified, so I'd take anything that they don't repost from one of the cast/crew members or the CW with a pinch of salt.
I actually don't mind an age gap, I think that's an interesting way to go about it. Prue was motherly to Piper and Phoebe because she helped raise them, but obviously that won't be the case with Macy, so I think having her be older makes sense. And I'm fine with the college too. I mean, the Halliwells barely ever seemed to be at work and when they were they were having to find reasons to leave to fight evil, so I'd rather they did something like this to be honest.

We'll see what they do. All of what we know could just as easily change when the series is picked up. Concepts change, actors get recast, characters role increase or decrease all the time.
I just hope Macy has a big way to go before she adjusts to having sisters. Which Charmed failed to do with Paige, and made her out to be a sister way too fast.
I just really want to know why Macy was given up by her mother? I'm guessing she gave birth to Macy as a teenager maybe?

I'm going to guess it will be the mother who is murdered right away. This means that the middle sister never had a chance to be mother to the younger one, and if their older sister/half-sister (I'm still hoping she's half-demon...) starts acting like either a mother or a sister (even if she's a full) right away when she wasn't raised with them, that will be a deal-breaker for me - I'll stop watching.
I can understand why they might not want to decide on an exact age. Thinking of all the inconsistencies in Classic Charmed, if they don't give exact ages, it can't be inconsistent - if that makes sense. That might even be why they're doing such large gaps.

I thought the same thing. Without that magic blue check after the name, it's best to count all of these as "Rumor has it", which might be the true reason why their earlier account was cancelled. We have no idea where these people are getting their information and how official any of it is. No way I'd follow them. They remind me of the Charmed Wiki people who think their head canon should be official canon. You can trust their stuff as far as you can throw the Manor! I feel the same way about this.
