I don't know if it was already posted... could be fake but Sarah Jeffery and Ser'Darius Blain follow that account...
It contradicts what season-zero said but in S-Z script, Maggie was still Maddison so he must have had an early draft...
Maybe the fans' reaction pushed them to rework the show a little bit and make it connected to the original in some way

Because I'm sure the pilot went through many revisions before the shooting script was ready. But if the reboot is picked up, don't be surprised they change things again. Like the original Charmed pilot was nothing like the one that got made. Including recasting two roles. I wonder what the people who watch this pilot help The CW decide if they should pick it up will think about it? We might see even more changes, maybe some characters don't test well with the audience and maybe some get changed or recast. That happens all the time.

Yes I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the sisters ends up being recast if the CW and the panel feel like she is not a good fit.

It depends if they all have great chemistry and fit well together. I think a recast of the supporting cast is the most likely to happen too.

Interesting. Maybe the writers were pressed to have to prove to the audience in the pilot why the show needs to be called charmed.

They have so much to prove. If they called it something different that solves many problems. Still won't but its a start.

LOL, it's funny that the reboot has them in college when I just finished college about five years ago. Yet I grew up watching Classic Charmed where the characters were older and the same age I am now. Yet this reboot is aging them down. I guess Macy is still close to my age. But a college setting I'm not so sure how that is even going to work for a show about witches. The Secret Circle failed on The CW as a series of teenage witches, will this reboot do any better with college. The small town setting doesn't leave much story possibilities compared to Classic Charmed's bigger city feel? I'm in exactly the same boat! It's strange to think of the girls in Classic Charmed as in my age range now, as I think you keep a degree of childlike wonder about the shows you watched growing up. I still see them as "adults" even though I'm now in between S1 Piper and Prue in S1 I wonder if this is just my imagination but I think our generation is staying "younger" for longer. It's like 20s are the new teens, probably because of the expense of education and housing. Maybe that's why they've aged the sisters down in the reboot. By comparison, Prue and Piper seem like middle-aged women compared to 20-somethings these days and "rebel" Phoebe doesn't seem all that immature! Me too, they still feel like adults to me even If I'm the same age as Prue now from S2 and S3. I really do feel that way too with our generation too. Yeah, Phoebe doesn't seem all that immature to me, and I'm sure that in the reboot the youngest sister and what they perceive the youngest should act like will be much different for how 18-year-olds act today than what they may have acted like 20 years ago. I don't know how they arrange the generation gap and when they start, but If I'm not mistaken she is the Generation Z new generation for someone born after the 90s. That's what I wonder, they could change the title a little and those two could work just as well. Not perfect, but not using the name Charmed. Easiest would be The Witches of Hilltowne or something. Since that is the fictional town its set in. But I'd be surprised too if they renamed it. They seem so dead set on capitalizing on Charmed's success. The Secret Circle failed on The CW as a series of teenage witches, will this reboot do any better with college. The small town setting doesn't leave much story possibilities compared to Classic Charmed's bigger city feel? Secret Circle was actually getting decent ratings for CW back then. The only problem was the show had the same budget as Vampire Diaries but only gets half the ratings. There were other shows back then who're cheaper and had more episodes under their belt that cancelling Secret Circle was the cheaper option. Secret Circle also had slow pace and too much focus on romance between leads that have no chemistry at all. Then add the fact that Jinx Britt Robertsons is attached to the show then you have a recipe for disaster. She has a number of flop movies and TV series under belt. Not even Disney/Netflix magic worked on her. Her show this Spring on ABC just flopped big time. One thing Charmed reboot is doing right is picking Canada to cut cost. Budget really does play a big part, and why I can see the reboot being in Canada to cut costs. I don't think we'll ever see a television show in LA that requires a big budget again. Unless LA has a big tax break one time.

That will just create more comparisons and if this big reveal isn't well received it will just anger fans further.

They have to justify why they are calling it "Charmed." So there SHOULD be some tie ins with Classic Charmed. Else CALL IT SOMETHING DIFFERENT.
Pretty sure I'll be screaming this until the day the show does it or dies.

If it goes to series. I really can see it being paired with Supergirl for a female centric night on The CW.

CW just addes two more hours on Sunday. There is a high probability Charmed returns to Sunday nights. Since our Charmed finished its run on that night.

The first season should be about the girls finding their powers and getting used to them and themselves as family if they meet there half sister not facing the Source which should occur in the third year when there more experienced.

Why on earth would you introduce The Source in the pilot. EPIC FAIL. Will he be the one to kill their mother?
Wasn't The Source known as the mysterious he or him by Tempus and Rex in Season 1. That is how you build your ultimate villain.

I think Ser'Darius Blain is a version of Cole + The Source.

That is how you build your ultimate villain. Well nowadays people need a "hook" to continue a show. If Charmed reboot s1 was just the girls saving innocents like Classic Charmed s1, I'm sure most people would drop it. But if you have a main vilain right away, it may push people to continue. There will probably also be the storyline of the whitelighter not being who he is that will be stretched into 5-10 episodes at least.

Because that just doesn't leave much story later if you introduce far too much quickly. I guess people these days complain more and want fast answers and hooks to keep watching. Might be why they like 13 episode seasons than 22.
