BACKSTORY:



Prudence Warren, a witch born from a long matriarchal line of witches, always said everything happens for a reason, but nothing comes without a price.



She has known that she has the Elemental power of Spirit when she started having premonitions as a teenager. After later marrying fellow witch, Allen Halliwell, and giving birth twice (with Allen agreeing to let their daughters carry the family name of Warren if any son carries the name of Halliwell), Prudence discovered that her older daughter, Patience, had the Elemental power of Earth, while her younger daughter, Paige, had the Elemental power of of Air. When Prudence's premonitions revealed that her two future granddaughters would have the other two Elemental powers of Water and Fire, she discovered that her family was destined to become the powerful Elemental Witches, so she began training her daughters in the craft in order to prepare them for what would eventually happen to them and their own daughters, especially after a warlock murders Allen.



While still a teenager, Paige fell in love with an older man, Sam Wilder. Although Prudence warned her against him so Paige eventually broke up with him, a couple months later she discovered she was pregnant. She gave birth to a daughter, Peyton. When Prudence, Patience, and Paige discover that Peyton had the Elemental power of Water, and later Patience met and married non-magical Victor Bennett, and has their daughter Piper who has the Elemental power of Fire, making the family think that those five will be the Elemental Witches with each of Prudence's daughters having one child, who are cousins. Then let Peyton turn on her family and be vanquished, like what happened with Billie and Christy without that horrible crying scene of Billie's. But then Patience has Phoebe and they know it's those five who are the Elemental Witches.



But when Peyton turned five, she falls prey to her warlock father, who tempted her into using her powers for evil. When she uses her powers to willingly kill a classmate who was teasing her, she became warlocks. Prudence eventually helped them see the evil of her ways and she helped their mother and aunt save an innocent, she became witches again. But the Warrens' joy at having the Elemental Witches back didn't last long. While helping their mother and aunt save a different innocent only a few months later, she was tragically killed and the Warrens were afraid that all hope was lost.



But five years later, Patience gives birth to Phoebe, who had the same Elemental power as Peyton - Water. After Phoebe was born, Patience and her mother and sister decided to try to protect her daughters from what had happened to Peyton. The three older witches placed a cloaking spell on Victor and the girls before the three of them relocated to the other side of the country. This way the girls could be raised by their father and be protected while also having a normal childhood, something no other Warren witch had ever had.



In order to continue to protect them, Victor has raised Piper and Phoebe without any knowledge of them being witches. But as our series begins, Prudence has a premonition showing that Sam is back, going after Piper and Phoebe, so the two are in danger. Paige uses her Elemental power of Air to orb herself, her mother and her sister to her nieces. They're too late to prevent Sam from murdering Victor, but thanks to Prudence's premonition, Prudence, Patience and Paige use a potion and a spell to vanquish Sam before he can harm the girls. Patience reveals to her daughters that they are witches and give them the choice to have her unbind their powers.



Piper and Phoebe finally embrace their destiny and their powers are unbound. They join their their mother and aunt, who along with their grandmother who uses her premonitions and knowledge to guide her daughters and granddaughters, the five Warren women are the Elemental Witches, setting out to protect those innocent of the knowledge magic from the denizens of evil magic.



THE MAIN CHARACTERS:



Prudence Warren: Aged 65. Much the same as the Grams we know and shake our head at, she's the strict, fiery matriarch of the Warren family. She's very much like Prue Halliwell, initially strict but because she will have suffered fewer losses than the "real Grams" she becomes more mellow and softer. She has the Elemental power of Spirit which gives her premonitions.



Patience Warren: Prudence's older daughter, aged 45. Pretty much the Patty we know and love, although even more kinder and caring. She functions as the "balance" of the family as Piper was in the original series, but unlike Piper Halliwell, she is the most selfless person of all and always has time to help those in need, although that often gets her in trouble. Like Prue Halliwell, she's a photographer, but unlike Prue, she works with the police. She has the Elemental power of Earth which allows her to form anything non-living from earth.



Paige Warren: Prudence's younger daughter, aged 35. Again, she is basically the same as her namesake, except she is Patty's sister, not Piper and Phoebe's. She's sometimes irresponsible and impulsive and not always in touch with reality. Much in the same way Prue would lecture Phoebe at being irresponsible in the original series, Prudence would be the same with this "Paige". Like Paige Matthews, she's a social worker. Paige has the Elemental power of Air, which allows her to orb herself and others, much like Paige Matthews' power did, but she's not part whitelighter so she doesn't have any of the other whitelighter powers.



Piper Warren: Patience's older daughter, aged 25. Again much like Piper Halliwell, but rather than being shy, she's very fiery, like later-season Piper without constantly feeling sorry for herself (although she does miss her normal life..,), and because there are no whitelighters, she never falls for one. Like Piper Halliwell, she owns her own restaurant and is a very good cook, so she's the one who makes most of the potions. She has the Elemental power of Fire, which allows her to form and throw fireballs, but like Piper Warren herself, the power isn't evil.



Phoebe Warren: Patience's younger daughter, aged 20. Also much like Phoebs Halliwell (and never like PhoeME Halliwell), but like her grandmother, mother, aunt and sister, the fact that she was born in Warren Manor has nothing to do with whether she can easily turn evil - all five have free will and can decide if they want to do good or evil. But like the twins, if they murder, they will become warlocks. She's still in college and works on the school paper. She has always loved to write and is the one who comes up with most of the original spells. Phoebe has the Elemental power of Water which allows her to freeze molecules.

Patience investigates a new murder in the city, which leads her directly to Phoebe's campus where two teenagers are killed in a demonic like ritual and a new friend of Phoebe's may be next. When two employees begin to give Piper a hard time, Piper contemplates a little harmless spell to get back at them which her aunt, Paige accidentally encourages, before realizing she has made a huge mistake. But she soon realizes that all magic comes with a price, and learns a valuable lesson from Prudence.

OOOO, SummerReading, I'm *very* curious to see what you came up with. This is *such* fun - truly a great way to celebrate the anniversary. Maybe that's the board this really belongs in.

SR (Hope you don't mind me shortening your name to that, the way others shorten my Esmeralda to Es - it's just quicker to type two letters instead of a long name...), I noticed that you kept both versions of Peyton in your story, so I've gone ahead and changed that while also doing some other editing.

I really do like Deano's idea of Patience being able to use her elemental power of Earth to have empathy and telepathy - it really does fit her better than my idea of her able to move things, which we can continue to let Paige be able to do, but like you, I'll keep this as is for now.  If someone wants to change it, go for it!

As always, hope you don't mind, and as always if you or anyone else doesn't like what I do, feel free to change it - I have a hunch that everything we do in this thread will be a rough draft, with anyone allowed to edit it as a way to try to make it better. I also like these ages better since it lets all of them be women, not girls, but gives each generation someone they can relate to.

Since you're having it based on the sisters and not on the backstory (which I agree would be the proper way to do it - all of the backstory can and should come out later), I don't think you have enough material for a full two-hour premiere, so I changed it to just one.  If later you add more to it then you can turn it back.

 I'm now curious to see what you have done. 

It does make for a very great way to celebrate the anniversary. I can see everyone here is really having fun with it. 

I'm fine with you calling me SR, as I am calling you Es.

What I like about our story, is your right about the generation thing. If this were a real show, I feel it would actually bring both new and old fans together. Especially the different ages of the main stars. Unlike the reboot, where they have aged down the sisters to be even younger than the Halliwells and setting it all in college.

I figured it had to be about the sisters, as the backstory would be something we learn about over time. I think of that as more a reference for what lies ahead.

Season 1, Episode 1: 'House of the Rising Warrens'  

NEW SERIES PREMIERE — It isn't every day you wake up and discover that you're a witch from a long matriarchal line of witches, and sisters Piper and Phoebe Bennett, will soon discover that their somewhat ordinary life of being raised by their father, Victor, is about to become anything but ordinary.

When their grandmother, Prudence Warren, who has been living on the other side of the country, has a premonition that a warlock who she had presumed was dead is back, and is going after Piper and Phoebe, she rushes to their rescue. With her are her older daughter, Piper and Phoebe's mother Patience Warren, and her younger daughter, their aunt Paige Warren. They three are too late to prevent the warlock from murdering Victor. Patience reveals to her daughters that their true last name is Warren just like hers, her mothers and her sisters, but the girls grew up with the last name of Bennett to hide the fact that they are witches with bound powers. Their mother gives them the choice to have her unbind their powers.

It takes a while, but Piper and Phoebe finally embrace their destiny and after returning them to stately Warren Manor in Salem, MA, their powers are unbound. They join their their mother and aunt, who along with their grandmother who uses her premonitions and knowledge to guide her daughters and granddaughters, the five Warren women are the Elemental Witches, setting out to protect those innocent of the knowledge magic from the denizens of evil magic.

MAGIC COMES WITH A PRICE — Having vanquished their first warlock as the Elemental Witches, the three older Warrens agree that Piper and Phoebe need a crash course on how to handle their new found gifts.

Patience investigates a new murder in the city, which leads her directly to Phoebe's campus where two teenagers are killed in a demonic-like ritual and a new friend of Phoebe's may be next. When two employees begin to give Piper a hard time, Piper contemplates a little harmless spell to get back at them which her aunt, Paige, accidentally encourages, before realizing she has made a huge mistake. But she soon realizes that all magic comes with a price, and learns a valuable lesson from Prudence.

THE HEX OF DEATH — After going through several managers for her restaurant, Piper thinks she's found the perfect candidate, unaware that her new employee is actually a warlock who's serving food with a secret ingredient: a hex. At the same time, Paige is helping a client who is going through a custody battle over their son, unaware that her client's ex-partner is Piper's new manager...

Eventually, matters take a turn for the worst when the warlock learns that Piper and Paige are witches, and places a hex on the two of them, causing them to become greatly ill. As Prudence, Patience, and Phoebe try to find a solution to stop the warlock, Prudence coaches Phoebe as she tries to writes her very first spell.

PATIENCE WHO? — When Marcus, who had a high school crush on Paige, returns to Salem and is showcasing his work in an art and sculpture exhibition, she and Patience decide to go see his work. The sisters are shocked to see that half of Marcus' work displaying paintings and sculptures are of Patience, revealing that he actually had a secret obsession with Patience.

Later, two of the sculptures of Patience comes to life, each having full memories of Patience's life, and manage to trap the real Patience and then begin to wreak havoc on her life, both determined to become the supreme Patience. As her family try to figure out why Patience is acting nothing like herself, the women are shocked to find Patience's dead body, unaware that one of the fake Patiences has killed the other one and is now determined to kill the real Patience and take over her life forever.

Season 1, Episode 5: 'The Soul Collector'

SALEM HARVEST FEST '18 — It's time for the annual Salem Harvest Festival, and that means another year of Prudence nagging her family to join in the fun. As they have every year since getting bored of it, Patience and Paige find any excuse to bail out. Since her granddaughters have never gone, Prudence tries to motivate them to join in the fun. Piper agrees to cater the fest and Phoebe agrees to do a story about it for her college paper.

Elsewhere, Paige deals with a new case at social services: a runaway teen, who hasn't come home to her parents. Later Patience is called to the scene of a crime and finds the body of the teen. But her ghost suddenly makes herself known, unaware she is really dead. Prudence has a premonition of an evil spirit known as 'The Soul Collector' going after the teen. She explains to Patience that only on "Harvest Day' can the spirit become corporeal and remain corporeal by collecting a dead soul.

Eventually, the entire family becomes involved, with Prudence and Paige helping the teen resolve issues with her parents, while Patience, Piper, and Phoebe work on finding a way to stop the 'Soul Collector' Piper wants to come up with a potion while Phoebe wants to write a spell. Patience decides it's best if they use both.

I came across a Salem Harvest Fest 2018, so I decided to incorporate it into the story. Although the date is unconfirmed from sites. It has October and unconfirmed. So It might work as the third episode. (Never been to Salem, but I couldn't resist not including it.). But I'll leave it as the fifth episode, can always be reworked and moved around.

My friends and I were there during early August, so we didn't see anything about a Harvest Festival, but the fun of doing something like this, it doesn't have to be done on the same day or even the same month.

I so love how you've taken the occupations I've given the Warrens and bringing those ideas into your episodes! It's truly Charmed as I loved it best - when they are a family living in the real world, who just happen to be witches!

And if anyone has any other ideas for episodes, be sure to post them here and maybe SR will use it! I'm dreadful at coming up with original stuff, so I'll just stick to editing.

The new dark, dramatic Charmed reboot, "Elemental Charmed" has a surprise for fans of the classic series. Executive producer Connie Burge has convinced the original stars to be part of the series by agreeing to let them play completely different roles.

Holly Marie Combs, who originally played shy middle-sister Piper Halliwell will now play Prudence Warren, the fiery matriarch of the Warren clan.

Alyssa Milano, who originally played mischievous youngest-sister Phoebe Halliwell, will play Prudence's calm, quiet oldest daughter, Patience Warren.

Shannen Doherty, who originally played strait-laced oldest-sister Prue Halliwell and was later replaced by Rose McGowan, will play Prudence's younger daughter, quirky, fun-loving Paige Warren.

That episode, 'Something Wicca This Way Comes' will be shown on its anniversary, the first Charmed episode to be broadcasted in remastered HD.

BACKSTORY:

Prudence Warren, a witch born from a long matriarchal line of witches, always said everything happens for a reason, but nothing comes without a price.

She has known that she has the Elemental power of Spirit when she started having premonitions as a teenager. After later marrying fellow witch, Allen Halliwell, and giving birth twice (with Allen agreeing to let their daughters carry the family name of Warren if any son carries the name of Halliwell), Prudence discovered that her older daughter, Patience, had the Elemental power of Earth, while her younger daughter, Paige, had the Elemental power of of Air. When Prudence's premonitions revealed that her two future granddaughters would have the other two Elemental powers of Water and Fire, she discovered that her family was destined to become the powerful Elemental Witches. She began training her daughters in the craft in order to prepare them for what would eventually happen to them and their own daughters, especially after a warlock murdered Allen.

While still a teenager, Paige fell in love with an older man, Sam Wilder. Although Prudence warned her against him so Paige eventually broke up with him, a couple months later she discovered she was pregnant. She gave birth to a daughter, Peyton. When Prudence, Patience, and Paige discovered that Peyton had the Elemental power of Water, and when a couple years later Patience married non-magical Victor Bennett at the same time that and had their daughter Piper who had the Elemental power of Fire, the Warren family was certain that those five would become the Elemental Witches with each of Prudence's daughters having one child, who were cousins.

This changed when Sam came back and began influencing his eight-year-old daughter.  When Peyton used her firepower to kill a classmate who was teasing her, she became a warlock like her father.  Under his influence, Peyton turned on her family and much as it hurt the family, especially Patience, they ended up having to vanquish Peyton, and they were sure all was lost.

But five years later, when Piper was ten, Patience gave birth to Phoebe, who had the same Elemental power as Peyton - Water. After Phoebe was born, Patience and her mother and sister decided to try to protect her daughters from what had happened to Peyton. The three older witches placed a cloaking spell on Victor and the girls before the three of them relocated to the other side of the country. This way the girls could be raised by their father and be protected while also having a normal childhood, something no other Warren witch had ever had.

In order to continue to protect them, Victor raised Piper and Phoebe so they didn't have any knowledge of them being witches - they're always just his little girls. But as our series begins, Prudence has a premonition showing that Sam is back, going after Piper and Phoebe, so the two are in danger. Paige uses her Elemental power of Air to orb herself, her mother and her sister to her nieces. They're too late to prevent Sam from murdering Victor, but thanks to Prudence's premonition, Prudence, Patience and Paige use a potion and a spell to vanquish Sam before he can harm the girls. Patience reveals to her daughters that they are witches and lets them decide if they want her to unbind their powers.

THE MAIN CHARACTERS:

Prudence Warren: Aged 70. Much the same as the Grams we know and shake our head at, she's the strict, fiery matriarch of the Warren family. She's very much like Prue Halliwell, initially strict but because she will have suffered fewer losses than the "real Grams" she becomes more mellow and softer. She has the Elemental power of Spirit which gives her premonitions.

Patience Warren: Prudence's older daughter, aged 50. Pretty much the Patty we know and love, although even more kinder and caring. She functions as the "balance" of the family as Piper was in the original series, but unlike Piper Halliwell, she is the most selfless person of all and always has time to help those in need, although that often gets her in trouble. Like Prue Halliwell, she's a photographer, but unlike Prue, she works with the police. She has the Elemental power of Earth which allows her to form anything non-living from earth.

Paige Warren: Prudence's younger daughter, aged 40. Again, she is basically the same as her namesake, except she is Patty's sister, not Piper and Phoebe's. She's sometimes irresponsible and impulsive and not always in touch with reality. Much in the same way Prue would lecture Phoebe at being irresponsible in the original series, Prudence would be the same with this "Paige". Like Paige Matthews, she's a social worker. Paige has the Elemental power of Air, which allows her to orb herself and others, much like Paige Matthews' power did, but she's not part whitelighter so she doesn't have any of the other whitelighter powers.

Piper Warren: Patience's older daughter, aged 30. Again much like Piper Halliwell, but rather than being shy, she's very fiery, like later-season Piper without constantly feeling sorry for herself (although she does miss her normal life..,), and because there are no whitelighters, she never falls for one. Like Piper Halliwell, she owns her own restaurant and is a very good cook, so she's the one who makes most of the potions. She has the Elemental power of Fire, which allows her to form and throw fireballs, but like Piper Warren herself, the power isn't evil.

Phoebe Warren: Patience's younger daughter, aged 20. Also much like Phoebs Halliwell (and never like PhoeME Halliwell), but like her grandmother, mother, aunt and sister, the fact that she was born in Warren Manor has nothing to do with whether she can easily turn evil - all five have free will and can decide if they want to do good or evil. But like Peyton, if they murder, they will become warlocks. She's still in college and works on the school paper. She has always loved to write and is the one who comes up with most of the original spells. Phoebe has the Elemental power of Water which allows her to freeze molecules.

Season 1, Episode 6: 'Reflections of the Dark Kind'



CLASSIC CHARMED STAR DEBBIE MORGAN GUEST STARS — When two college students play around chanting the name Bloody Mary (guest star Debbie Morgan) in the mirror, they wind up dead. Later Patience makes the scene of the crime, Paige handles helping the mourning Parent's, but their surviving daughter starts seeing a strange shadow in the mirror following her, the Warren's learn that it isn't anything but natural. 

Later, things start to become terrifying when Paige starts seeing Bloody Mary in the mirror holding a baby, and Paige begins to start tapping into some deep dark secrets of her past that her nieces Piper and Phoebe do not know. When Prudence gets's a Premonition of Paige dead, it's up to Paige's family to keep her safe from harm, in addition to saving their innocent.

I went and look at her myth online: I saw the Ghost Whisperer episode of Bloody Mary before, never seen the Supernatural one, might be way scarier than the GW one. 

Standing in a dark bathroom, illuminated by a single candle, you simply look into the mirror and chant her name three times: Bloody Mary. A ghost is then said to appear, sometimes holding a dead baby, other times promising to come after yours.



While the folklore may be fabricated, the woman behind the mirror and the story of Bloody Mary was as real as can be, and a royal figure at that.



Known later in life as Queen Mary I, the first queen regnant of England, the legendary monarch now known as Bloody Mary was born on February 18, 1516 in Greenwich, England at the Palace of Placentia.



The only child of King Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon, Mary’s lifetime of shame over her own femininity began at the young age of 17 when her father annulled his marriage to her mother, frustrated by the lack of a male heir to the throne. For a second consecutive year, the CW has handed out its first two pilot orders to a high-profile reboot of a long-running series from CBS TV Studios and another project from one of Warner Bros. TV’s top producers.

This time the network has greenlighted a new Charmed, from the show's original creator Constance M. Burge, the project will reunite Constance. M Burge with one of her fellow writing staff Sheryl. J Anderson. Also joining the project is Paul Ruditis, known for his work on the popular Charmed comic book series and author of several Charmed novels. 

The CW originally tried to bring back Charmed, one of the signature dramas of predecessor the WB, last season, when it ordered a reimagining of the original Aaron Spelling series from the same creative auspices. It was to be set in 1976 and feature a new trio of witches. The project was rolled over to this development season. 

The new Charmed script, penned by Connie Burge and Sheryl. J Anderson based on a story by Paul Ruditis is set in present time. Per the CW, whose brass greenlighted the pilot shortly after getting the script, “this new, dark, dramatic Charmed reboot" of the original series centers on five women, and unlike the original Classic series, this new take will be incorporating the five elements (Spirit, Earth, Fire, Water, and Air). 

Burge, Anderson, and Ruditis will executive produce the project.

Charmed Reboot, "Elemental Charmed" signs original trio Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milano for key roles

The new dark, dramatic Charmed reboot, "Elemental Charmed" has a surprise for fans of the classic series. Executive producer Connie Burge has convinced the original stars to be part of the series by agreeing to let them play completely different roles.



Holly Marie Combs, who originally played shy middle-sister Piper Halliwell will now play Prudence Warren, the fiery matriarch of the Warren clan.



Alyssa Milano, who originally played mischievous youngest-sister Phoebe Halliwell, will play Prudence's calm, quiet oldest daughter, Patience Warren.



Shannen Doherty, who originally played strait-laced oldest-sister Prue Halliwell and was later replaced by Rose McGowan, will play Prudence's younger daughter, quirky, fun-loving Paige Warren.



The other starring roles, that of Patience's two daughters, Piper Warren and Phoebe Warren, will be played by actresses new to the series, and word has it that every young dark-haired actress in Hollywood is hoping for the chance to audition.



If picked up, CBS Productions slates "Elemental Charmed" to start on Sunday, October 14th on The CW, one week after the 20th anniversary of the airing of the cult classic's premiere episode. That episode, 'Something Wicca This Way Comes' will be shown on its anniversary, the first Charmed episode to be broadcasted in remastered HD.

"Charmed reboot finds it's Phoebe"

Also much like Phoebs Halliwell was during the show's earlier years - She has always loved to write and is the one who comes up with most of the original spells. Phoebe has the Elemental power of Water which allows her to freeze molecules.

Before the new Charmed "Elemental Witches" join stars Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milano for a special retrospective look at the Classic original series Charmed to premiere  Sunday, October 7th on The CW, at 9 p.m. following the re-broadcast of the cult classic's premiere episode, 'Something Wicca This Way Comes' which is being shown on for the first Charmed episode to be broadcasted in remastered HD.


The one-hour special titled Charmed: "20 Years of Magic" will see the three stars reuniting and reflecting on the legacy of the series, the impact it has on pop culture, and just why now is the perfect time for Charmed to return. The special will also showcase some previously unseen footage from popular Charmed episodes, and also will give viewers a deeper look into the making of the new Charmed, set to begin the following week.

You all are doing such a *wonderful* job, and what I love most is how you're coming up with stories that relate to the sister's jobs, and also your demons of the week are very original, and the episode titles are so creative. 

I think out of all the episode so far, I think I *love* 'Revenge is a Dish Best Served Hexed' and 'The Soul Collector'. 

Also, your press releases are great, I especially love Charmed: "20 Years of Magic" television special. Don't I wish dears, that truly happened and the ladies did come together to celebrate. 

Keep doing what you all are doing, keep sharing press releases, keep plotting, keep writing. You ALL are doing an amazing job 'Team Charmed Cafe'.

Thank you, Pheebs. This is truly something we should do each time we hit a new page so any members new to this thread will know what we're doing and have a chance to add their own ideas.

And that's the fun of this being a Team Charmed Cafe project. Everything in this thread is just a rough draft - anyone else want to do it their way, they're more than welcomed to do it - especially because then Editor Es can later have fun combining all of the ideas into one cohesive whole! Since I'm not good at coming up with original stuff, this is what I love doing most!

So, as always, Pheebs, I hope you don't mind if I edit yours. As always, feel free to change anything I edit back if you don't like what I do - you guys are the ones with the original ideas, so it's totally up to you to decide if what I change should stay changed or not.

Wasn't Bloody Mary once of the scary creatures in 'Chick Flick', even if it didn't include a mirror - although, of course, a mirror *was* used in 'The Fourth Sister'? This episode would be a great nod to those great episodes, even if, typical Classic Charmed, they twisted the mythology to fit their episode.

Although you might be right that it would fit later in the season or even in a different season, depending upon what SC and others had in mind - but it is definitely something I'd want as part of "Elemental Charmed" - great job!

Although as I said in an earlier post, the more I think about it, the more I don't think including our stars as Prudence, Patience and Paige is a good idea - it was just Es having fun dreaming of what could be, maybe not what should be. "Elemental Charmed"

BACKSTORY:

Prudence Warren, a witch born from a long matriarchal line of witches, always said everything happens for a reason, but nothing comes without a price.

She has known that she has the Elemental power of Spirit when she started having premonitions as a teenager. After later marrying fellow witch, Allen Halliwell, and giving birth twice (with Allen agreeing to let their daughters carry the family name of Warren if any son carries the name of Halliwell), Prudence discovered that her older daughter, Patience, had the Elemental power of Earth, while her younger daughter, Paige, had the Elemental power of of Air. When Prudence's premonitions revealed that her two future granddaughters would have the other two Elemental powers of Water and Fire, she discovered that her family was destined to become the powerful Elemental Witches. She began training her daughters in the craft in order to prepare them for what would eventually happen to them and their own daughters, especially after a warlock murdered Allen.

While still a teenager, Paige fell in love with an older man, Sam Wilder. Although Prudence warned her against him so Paige eventually broke up with him, a couple months later she discovered she was pregnant. She gave birth to a daughter, Peyton. When Prudence, Patience, and Paige discovered that Peyton had the Elemental power of Water, and when a couple years later Patience married non-magical Victor Bennett at the same time that and had their daughter Piper who had the Elemental power of Fire, the Warren family was certain that those five would become the Elemental Witches with each of Prudence's daughters having one child, who were cousins.

This changed when Sam came back and began influencing his eight-year-old daughter.  When Peyton used her firepower to kill a classmate who was teasing her, she became a warlock like her father.  Under his influence, Peyton turned on her family and much as it hurt the family, especially Patience, they ended up having to vanquish Peyton, and they were sure all was lost.

But five years later, when Piper was ten, Patience gave birth to Phoebe, who had the same Elemental power as Peyton - Water. After Phoebe was born, Patience and her mother and sister decided to try to protect her daughters from what had happened to Peyton. The three older witches placed a cloaking spell on Victor and the girls before the three of them relocated to the other side of the country. This way the girls could be raised by their father and be protected while also having a normal childhood, something no other Warren witch had ever had.

In order to continue to protect them, Victor raised Piper and Phoebe so they didn't have any knowledge of them being witches - they're always just his little girls. But as our series begins, Prudence has a premonition showing that Sam is back, going after Piper and Phoebe, so the two are in danger. Paige uses her Elemental power of Air to orb herself, her mother and her sister to her nieces. They're too late to prevent Sam from murdering Victor, but thanks to Prudence's premonition, Prudence, Patience and Paige use a potion and a spell to vanquish Sam before he can harm the girls. Patience reveals to her daughters that they are witches and lets them decide if they want her to unbind their powers.

Piper and Phoebe finally embrace their destiny and their powers are unbound. They join their their mother and aunt, who along with their grandmother who uses her premonitions and knowledge two guide her daughters and granddaughters, the five Warren women are the Elemental Witches, setting out to protect those innocent of the knowledge of magic from the denizens of evil magic.

THE MAIN CHARACTERS:

Prudence Warren: Aged 70. Much the same as the Grams we know and shake our head at, she's the strict, fiery matriarch of the Warren family. She's very much like Prue Halliwell, initially strict but because she will have suffered fewer losses than the "real Grams" she becomes more mellow and softer. She has the Elemental power of Spirit which gives her premonitions.

Patience Warren: Prudence's older daughter, aged 50. Pretty much the Patty we know and love, although even more kinder and caring. She functions as the "balance" of the family as Piper was in the original series, but unlike Piper Halliwell, she is the most selfless person of all and always has time to help those in need, although that often gets her in trouble. Like Prue Halliwell, she's a photographer, but unlike Prue, she works with the police. She has the Elemental power of Earth which allows her to form anything non-living from earth.

Paige Warren: Prudence's younger daughter, aged 40. Again, she is basically the same as her namesake, except she is Patty's sister, not Piper and Phoebe's. She's sometimes irresponsible and impulsive and not always in touch with reality. Much in the same way Prue would lecture Phoebe at being irresponsible in the original series, Prudence would be the same with this "Paige". Like Paige Matthews, she's a social worker. Paige has the Elemental power of Air, which allows her to orb herself and others, much like Paige Matthews' power did, but she's not part whitelighter so she doesn't have any of the other whitelighter powers.

Piper Warren: Patience's older daughter, aged 30. Again much like Piper Halliwell, but rather than being shy, she's very fiery, like later-season Piper without constantly feeling sorry for herself (although she does miss her normal life..,), and because there are no whitelighters, she never falls for one. Like Piper Halliwell, she owns her own restaurant and is a very good cook, so she's the one who makes most of the potions. She has the Elemental power of Fire, which allows her to form and throw fireballs, but like Piper Warren herself, the power isn't evil.

Phoebe Warren: Patience's younger daughter, aged 20. Also much like Phoebs Halliwell (and never like PhoeME Halliwell), but like her grandmother, mother, aunt and sister, the fact that she was born in Warren Manor has nothing to do with whether she can easily turn evil - all five have free will and can decide if they want to do good or evil. But like Peyton, if they murder, they will become warlocks. She's still in college and works on the school paper. She has always loved to write and is the one who comes up with most of the original spells. Phoebe has the Elemental power of Water which allows her to freeze molecules.

Patience investigates a new murder in the city, which leads her directly to Phoebe's campus where two teenagers are killed in a demonic-like ritual and a new friend of Phoebe's may be next. When two employees begin to give Piper a hard time, Piper contemplates a little harmless spell to get back at them which her aunt, Paige, accidentally encourages, before realizing she has made a huge mistake. But she soon realizes that all magic comes with a price, and learns a valuable lesson from Prudence.

Eventually, matters take a turn for the worst when the warlock learns that Piper and Paige are witches, and places a hex on the two of them, causing them to become greatly ill. As Prudence, Patience, and Phoebe try to find a solution to stop the warlock, Prudence coaches Phoebe as she tries to writes her very first spell.

PATIENCE WHO? — When Marcus, who had a high school crush on Paige, returns to Salem and is showcasing his work in an art and sculpture exhibition, she and Patience decide to go see his work. The sisters are shocked to see that half of Marcus' work displaying paintings and sculptures are of Patience, revealing that he actually had a secret obsession with Patience.

Later, two of the sculptures of Patience comes to life, each having full memories of Patience's life, and manage to trap the real Patience and then begin to wreak havoc on her life, both determined to become the supreme Patience. As her family try to figure out why Patience is acting nothing like herself, the women are shocked to find Patience's dead body, unaware that one of the fake Patiences has killed the other one and is now determined to kill the real Patience and take over her life forever.

Season 1, Episode 5: 'The Soul Collector'

SALEM HARVEST FEST '18 — It's time for the annual Salem Harvest Festival, and that means another year of Prudence nagging her family to join in the fun. As they have every year since getting bored of it, Patience and Paige find any excuse to bail out. Since her granddaughters have never gone, Prudence tries to motivate them to join in the fun. Piper agrees to cater the fest and Phoebe agrees to do a story about it for her college paper.

Elsewhere, Paige deals with a new case at social services: a runaway teen, who hasn't come home to her parents. Later Patience is called to the scene of a crime and finds the body of the teen. But her ghost suddenly makes herself known, unaware she is really dead. Prudence has a premonition of an evil spirit known as 'The Soul Collector' going after the teen. She explains to Patience that only on "Harvest Day' can the spirit become corporeal and remain corporeal by collecting a dead soul.

Eventually, the entire family becomes involved, with Prudence and Paige helping the teen resolve issues with her parents, while Patience, Piper, and Phoebe work on finding a way to stop the 'Soul Collector' Piper wants to come up with a potion while Phoebe wants to write a spell. Patience decides it's best if they use both.

CLASSIC CHARMED STAR DEBBIE MORGAN GUEST STARS — When two college students play around chanting the name Bloody Mary (guest star Debbie Morgan) in the mirror, they wind up dead. Later Patience makes the scene of the crime, Paige handles helping the mourning Parent's, but their surviving daughter starts seeing a strange shadow in the mirror following her, the Warren's learn that it isn't anything but natural. 

Later, things start to become terrifying when Paige starts seeing Bloody Mary in the mirror holding a baby, and Paige begins to start tapping into some deep dark secrets of her past that her nieces Piper and Phoebe do not know. When Prudence gets's a Premonition of Paige dead, it's up to Paige's family to keep her safe from harm, in addition to saving their innocent.

I like what you did Pheebs. Also got a kick out of you saying Classic Charmed star guest stars. LOVE IT!!!

I haven't rewritten much, just adjusted the episode and dates. Again, if someone has other ideas, I'll be happy to hear them.

I went and look at her myth online: I saw the Ghost Whisperer episode of Bloody Mary before, never seen the Supernatural one, might be way scarier than the GW one. 

I don't remember the Ghost Whisperer episode at all??

If this can play into Paige and her daughter Peyton maybe? But I'm not so sure, might be worth saving a story like this for later in the season or beyond. If someone has other idea's, go ahead?  

I love what you did Pheebs...but I feel bringing up Paige's backstory this early feels too soon. Maybe saving it for later in the season might work. Unless someone else has any other suggestions?

For a second consecutive year, the CW has handed out its first two pilot orders to a high-profile reboot of a long-running series from CBS TV Studios and another project from one of Warner Bros. TV’s top producers.

This time the network has greenlighted a new Charmed, from the show's original creator Constance M. Burge, the project will reunite Constance. M Burge with one of her fellow writing staff Sheryl. J Anderson. Also joining the project is Paul Ruditis, known for his work on the popular Charmed comic book series and author of several Charmed novels. 

The CW originally tried to bring back Charmed, one of the signature dramas of predecessor the WB, last season, when it ordered a reimagining of the original Aaron Spelling series from the same creative auspices. It was to be set in 1976 and feature a new trio of witches. The project was rolled over to this development season. 

The new Charmed script, penned by Connie Burge and Sheryl. J Anderson based on a story by Paul Ruditis is set in present time. Per the CW, whose brass greenlighted the pilot shortly after getting the script, “this new, dark, dramatic Charmed reboot" of the original series will focus on five women, and unlike the original Classic series, this new take will be incorporating the five elements (Spirit, Earth, Fire, Water, and Air). 

Burge, Anderson, and Ruditis will executive produce the project.

Charmed Reboot, "Elemental Charmed" signs original trio Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milano for key roles

The new dark, dramatic Charmed reboot, "Elemental Charmed" has a surprise for fans of the classic series. Executive producer Connie Burge has convinced the original stars to be part of the series by agreeing to let them play completely different roles.

Holly Marie Combs, who originally played shy middle-sister Piper Halliwell will now play Prudence Warren, the fiery matriarch of the Warren clan.

Alyssa Milano, who originally played mischievous youngest-sister Phoebe Halliwell, will play Prudence's calm, quiet oldest daughter, Patience Warren.

Shannen Doherty, who originally played strait-laced oldest-sister Prue Halliwell and was later replaced by Rose McGowan, will play Prudence's younger daughter, quirky, fun-loving Paige Warren.

The other starring roles, that of Patience's two daughters, Piper Warren and Phoebe Warren, will be played by actresses new to the series, and word has it that every young dark-haired actress in Hollywood is hoping for the chance to audition.

If picked up, CBS Productions slates "Elemental Charmed" to start on Sunday, October 14th on The CW, one week after the 20th anniversary of the airing of the cult classic's premiere episode. That episode, 'Something Wicca This Way Comes' will be shown on its anniversary, the first Charmed episode to be broadcasted in remastered HD.

I'm not sure if using the original stars will work for this story. Maybe the other one Es mentioned with the sisters and daughters who are cousins.

"Charmed reboot finds it's Phoebe"

EXCLUSIVE: TBC has been cast as one of two younger sisters at the center of the CW’s dramedy pilot Charmed, from Jane original creator Constance M. Burge and CBS TV Studios. She joins Holly Marie, Combs, Alyssa Milano and Shannen Doherty, who recently was approached to join the new series.

TBC will play the youngest sister, Phoebe Warren, Patience's younger daughter, aged 20. Also much like Phoebs Halliwell was during the show's earlier years - She has always loved to write and is the one who comes up with most of the original spells. Phoebe has the Elemental power of Water which allows her to freeze molecules.

I'm not that great with casting. So I'm not sure who would play our Phoebe.

I edited a little Pheebs, I can see you were using the real press releases and edited it to our Elemental Charmed. So took out the bits for the CW rip-off/reboot one. Hope you don't mind. 

CHARMED 20TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION SPECIAL SET TO AIR OCTOBER 7TH

Before the new Charmed "Elemental Witches" join stars Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milano for a special retrospective look at the Classic original series Charmed to premiere  Sunday, October 7th on The CW, at 9 p.m it will follow the re-broadcast of the cult classic's premiere episode, 'Something Wicca This Way Comes' which is the first Charmed episode to be broadcasted in remastered HD.

The one-hour special titled Charmed: "20 Years of Magic" will see the three stars reuniting and reflecting on the legacy of the series, the impact it has on pop culture, and just why now is the perfect time for Charmed to return. The special will also showcase some previously unseen footage from popular Charmed episodes, and also will give viewers a deeper look into the making of the new Charmed, set to begin the following week.

Although not quite...while going through I found some questions that I decided to hold off on posting and answering until I got all of the basic information posted.

I'm going to try to answer the questions the way I understand what's going on, but especially SR and Pheebs, with how well you two are doing the episodes, but also anyone else, if you don't agree with my answers, PLEASE correct me!

And if I skip anyone's questions from that other 4-page thread, I apologize! Please copy your post from the other thread and post it here and someone will attempt to answer them.

I really like this set up. A few questions: How is the effect of this Paige's orbing? Is it similar to the way Piper teleported when she got the Goddess power? or is kinda like a tornado of some sort? Also, did Phoebe & Piper know that their mother was alive? or was that part of the family always been kept hidden from them? Keep the press releases coming I enjoy them Lol

When I first came up with Paige Warren being able to orb because her element is Air, I saw it as similar to Shax's, just not as destructive, since that felt more like the wind, while Paige Matthews and Leo's were more elements of Light. But if someone else can think of a better way of describing it, go for it.

SC, what do you think?  Since you came up with the idea of the sisters being sent across the country to live with their father so they'd be protected, do you think they would know that their grandmother, mother and aunt are living on the other side of the country?  Would they simply think that their parents are divorced?  Would they even get a chance to know the other members of their family before the attack by Sam the Warlock?

And, oh, yes, I LOVE the press releases, too!

Does Piper owning her own restaurant mean she relocates the business or would she start opening one up in Salem or wherever you set the show. While being successful enough to have her old one still running where she used to live without her now.

Oh, that's a very interesting question. My guess is that she'd set up a manager to take care of the one in whatever town they were raised (not necessarily San Francisco, although it *could* be) and start a new one in Salem. That could actually make a very interesting episode - good thought, Ruth! My guess is eventually she'd find a manager for the one in Salem, too, so she can concentrate on being a witch.

Along the same lines, I'm going to guess that Phoebe would transfer out of whichever West Coast college she was attending and into one in either Salem or nearby Boston. Maybe all of this should be brought into the series premiere - we might get ourselves enough material for a two-hour series premiere yet!

Also will all the women live under the same roof? Maybe Patience lives with her mother Prudence and Paige has her own house a few streets down. Maybe some plot to have the women living in two houses on the same street, or one buys one after the former owners die due to a demon attack. Unless they do live all together in a big house with at least five rooms or Prudence lives at the bottom downstairs bedroom.

Oh, *so* many possibilities, and I know that Granny Charmed came up with the idea of a "Granny house" (or whatever she called it) in the back yard.

If we get rid of the idea of the Woogy, we could have someone have a room in the basement (mine was down there most of the time I was living with my parents), one having a room on the main floor, and then two rooms on the second floor, with Piper and Phoebe sharing one of the rooms.

We might be able to come up with more enough for a two-hour seris premiere.

Phoebe transfering isn't that difficult, we could have her nearby in Boston. As for Piper, yeah, I do think she'll eventually find a new manager. Since our third episode plot has a warlock being her new manager, It would be fun plot for when she does finally find the best manager at last, she is convinced he's just out to get her and her family. While the person they are after to vanquish is actually someone they know very well, maybe one of Prudence or Patience's friends.

I like the suggestion Es, having the basement as a room, one room on the main floor and then two rooms on the second. 

The "Granny house" idea that Granny Charmed suggested is also good. 

Speaking of the Woogy, We could have the Nexus or our take on it coming into play in our reboot but very different. Something that incorporates the five Elements. Maybe this Nexus or whatever we call it isn't under the Manor, but located someplace else, maybe a burial site where Salem Witches died. Any suggestions, or should we not touch the Nexus 

Still fairly early in the story planning, but I hope we consider a Salem Witch Trials themed episode further down the line. I guess we haven't planned who the ancestors of the Warren are just yet, or how the family line started. 

But I hope we have an episode or similar episode where the sisters go to the Salem Museum and have their mother, aunt or grandmother poking fun at how not accurate the tour guide is explaining history, while also having the demon of the week or plot main story somehow coming into play here. Maybe the sisters get transported to the past or the whole family. 

Lots of possibilities.

Season 1, Episode ??: 'The Life and Death of Mary Ann Warren'

CLASSIC CHARMED STARS SHANNEN DOHERTY AND ALYSSA MILANO GUEST STAR  — While attending a tour of the Salem Witch Museum with Prudence and Paige who correct the true details of history, Piper and Phoebe learn more about their ancestors and about the Warren Line. At the same time, Patience is called to the scene of a deceased woman who may have hung herself or not?

The Warrens learn a 'Witch Hunter' is targetting women believed to be ancestors of the Salem Witch Trail victims but may be working for a warlock. But Prudence has a Premonition that reveals that the witch hunter is an ancestor of the same men responsible for their ancestor Mary Ann Warren (special guest star Alyssa Milano) being hung. Using the five Elements and finding the burial site for the Salem Witches, the spirit of Mary Ann takes possession of Prudence, due to her spirit Element and reveals secrets of the Warren family history, and her non-identical twin sister Jenna Warren (special guest star Shannen Doherty) actually betrayed her and played a part in her death. 

Now the Warrens with the help of Mary Ann set out to stop the witch hunter and warlock. The later being under the possession of Jenna Warren.

I haven't given this one a date or number yet. Which I think I might do from now on while seeing what others think and SR thinks. Then we can possibly put them together later. 

Does anyone think this story would work okay as a two-part season finale, I really think it would work better in the second half of season 1 or even season 2? What do you all think?
