As long as I'm on this track of discussing possible changes, something else to consider. A lot of our episodes so far have centered around Prudence, Patience and/or Phoebe while I think The CW would want ALL of the episodes to center around Piper and/or Phoebe, especially Phoebe, who would play to their core audience, like the ripoff does or even Classic Charmed did.

I wonder if OUR reboot doesn't really belong on The CW (since most of us are older, so we'd be more interested in the older members of the family) and maybe for the second season, it could be "moved" to TNT or Lifetime or even CBS - reverse what happened to Supergirl when her show went from CBS to The CW.

What do you guys think about that?

I think that sounds pretty much right. Most of us (me included) dears are much older than The CW audience. I'm basically just about the same age you made Prudence. Might be wise to have our reboot move after season one.

I recall Ghost Whisperer aired Friday nights on CBS. If I'm right - maybe CBS picks up *our* reboot and airs it in that timeslot hoping to capture that old friday night audience.

Maybe on CBS airing sunday, same timeslot, different network as another option?

I checked online, and CBS airs on Friday Nights, MacGyver reboot at 8 pm, Hawaii Five-O reboot at 9 pm and Blue Bloods at 10 pm. On Sunday Nights, they are airing a new series called God Friended Me at 8 pm and NCIS: Los Angeles at 9 pm. 

Maybe after the first season, our show 'Elemental Charmed' is picked up by CBS, like Supergirl shifted from CBS to The CW and winds up on Friday or Sunday' schedulele. 

I couldn't help but do a press release for it.    What do you all think?

CBS has picked up its first new series for next season, and it is not that new. After weeks of speculation, 'Elemental Charmed' will move from The CW to its sister Network CBS, which has renewed the fantasy drama for a second season.

The pickup, which comes hours after the most recent deadline for The CW to make a renewal on the freshman series, will find its new home at CBS, with the likes of other old properties which have in the past few years recently been rebooted and redeveloped for the CBS audience.


A ''Elemental Charmed' move to CBS had been rumored for a while, with talks becoming real the last few days. A CBS pickup was contingent on finding a way to produce a show of that scale and since CBS also is partners with The CW network, the decision to move the series was a smooth transition. 


CBS frequently had been mentioned as a suitable home for 'Elemental Charmed' because of the show’s older skew audience, the CBS president's public comments about regretting not going after the project when it was originally pitched, and the fact that CBS co-owns part of The CW. 


This is the complete opposite of what happened a few years back, when Supergirl had been rumored to move from CBS to the CW; this time a series originally aired at 'The CW' is making the move.


Despite the fact that its numbers were consistent for 'The CW' and would have been ordered for a second season. They found that most of their younger audience wasn't responding to the series.

Producer Connie Burge explained in an interview: "Although The CW was very supportive of our show, we didn't find it connected with the younger audience, and the network felt this would have meant the series would undergo a revamp in the second season". 

TBC who plays the shows the matriarch of the Warren family Prudence joked to interviewers 'I was convinced that had the series stayed on The CW, I would be out of a job, because they would have killed me off."

But was serious to say "The move will allow the show to still remain the stable it was on The CW, we just found that the audience connected with us older women just as much as they connected with the younger ones. I am really pleased with the move, and look forward to our show telling more great stories about the warren women"

Paul Ruditis relieved panicking fans that "All the ladies are coming back for season 2, the foundation and mythology we set up in our first season will progress in season two. We will continue to tell great stories for these Warren Women" Ruditis also hinted that the second season might go deeper into the family lives of the Warrens. We could possibly see some backstories forming from some of our ladies. 

'Elemental Charmed' is executive produced by Connie Burge, and produced by  Sheryl. J Anderson, Paul Ruditis, Chris Levinson and Zach Estrin in association with CBS. Studios.

Classic Charmed stars 'Shannen Doherty' and 'Alyssa Milano' to guest star in undisclosed roles for the season finale of 'Elemental Charmed'

The former stars of the original Classic series 'Charmed' have both booked guest-starring roles in the series upcoming season finale set to air May 19th. 

'Connie Burge' who created the Classic series that starred Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano as Prue and Phoebe Halliwell had been considering bringing the former stars onto the show for some time. 'I've been trying to find suitable roles for Shannen, Alyssa, Holly, and Rose. But I just couldn't find the right story. But after collaboration with Sheryl J. Anderson, we both found the perfect roles for them".

Shannen Doherty revealed that she got the call about appearing in 'Elemental Charmed' and admits she was hesitant to take the offer. But after hearing what Burge had planned for her, and then hearing she had talked to Alyssa Milano who would also be appearing. Shannen felt the timing was right, and that the fans of the original series that she was apart of would really like what Connie has planned.

Alyssa Milano told press "Just being approached was such an honor. I spent eight years of my life with 'Charmed', it was almost like a high school reunion, and when I heard Shannen was also going to be a part of it, I really wanted to do it. I haven't worked with Shannen in nearly 20 years, but the two of us have connected through social media for a while and I can't wait to see her again".

Burge mentioned that she hopes that other stars like Holly Marie Combs, Rose McGowan or Brian Krause could appear in the series further down the line. "I don't want to overcrowd this series with too many guest appearances. But it's not out of the question".

Even though I want to go back and reply to the other posts I haven't commented on yet, i HAD to pop back and comment on this right away! Absolutely totally LOVE it, Pheebs! I'm glad you liked my idea of moving our show from broadcast TV to network TV as compared to Supergirl which did it in reverse and I *so* love how you find real press releases and adapt them for out show!

You calling it a "fantasy drama" really made me smile - that's truly what we'd want our show to be, one that takes itself seriously, the way early Classic Charmed did. 

My only problem with this is that the way I have it set up, Shannen wouldn't appear in the Season One finale.  However, I think that can be fixed by showing flashbacks of the Salem Witch Trials that include both sisters (I'll add here that I absolutely love your idea of having one sister the start of a line of witches and the other the start of a line of warlocks, but I still don't think they have to - or should be - non-identical twins.  But as always in this project, I'll bow to the majority's opinion.

But TBC turned serious as she added, "The move will allow the show to still remain the staple it was on The CW; we just found that the audience connected with us older women just as much as they connected with the younger ones. I am really pleased with the move, and look forward to our show telling more great stories about the Warren women."

Paul Ruditis, one of the chief writers, relieved panicking fans that "All the ladies are coming back for Season Two, the foundation and mythology we set up in our first season will progress in Season Two. We will continue to tell great stories for these Warren women."

Ruditis also hinted that the second season might go deeper into the family lives of the Warrens. We could possibly see some backstories forming from some of our ladies.

Season 1, Episode 22: 'The Life and Death of Mary Ann Warren, Part One'

CLASSIC CHARMED STARS SHANNEN DOHERTY AND ALYSSA MILANO GUEST STAR IN SEASON FINALE - While attending a tour of the Salem Witch Museum with Paige and Prudence, who corrects the details of history, Piper and Phoebe learn more about their ancestors and about the Warren line. Through flashbacks we learn about the life and death of their ancestor Mary Ann Warren (special guest star Alyssa Milano) and her sister Jenna Warren (special guest star Shannen Doherty).

At the same time, Patience is called to the scene of a woman who may have hung herself, but who Patience thinks was murdered by a warlock.

The Warrens learn that a witch hunter is targeting women believed to be ancestors of the Salem Witch Trial victims and may be working for the warlock. But Prudence has a premonition revealing that the witch hunter is a descendant of one of the en responsible for Mary Ann's hanging. When the Warrens use the five Elements to find the burial site of the Salem Witches, the spirit of one of the murdered victims suddenly possesses Prudence.  The Warrens are unsure which of their ancestors is possessing Prudence and whether she means to harm them or hurt them.

With the help of Mary Ann, the Warrens now set out to stop both the witch hunter and warlock - who is possessed by the spirit of Jenna Warren.

Oh man! Why can't this be real? Great job, guys.

I don't know if I'm too late to add this but I've been mulling over ideas for the Earth power and thought that wouldn't it be cool if Patience could grant and remove "Lifeforce" from animate beings.

She could do all the stereotypical Earthy things, such as making flowers bloom, but she'd also have a limited form of healing. My hypothesis for the mechanics of this ability would be that physical injuries "kill" skin and healthy bodily function, in a sense, so Patty could grant "life" back into the person and heal their wounds. Similarly, if an Innocent was suffering a heart attack, she could regulate their blood flow and restore the heart's normal function.

On the opposite end of the scale, she could induce harm to a demon/enemy but restricting "Lifeforce" to them; the warlock, Nicholas', "blood-boiling" power comes to mind here.

Can't say I like this idea - I hate non-whitelighters (including witchlighters) being able to heal - it made injuries and death mean nothing, so even limited, no, just not happy with that. I find myself preferring what Paul Rudiitis did in his book, having the one with the Element of Earth be the Earth Mover - moving Earth to move people and objects - her form of TK. I like the calmest person of the group have that power while letting Paige, the Wind Walker, being able to transport people. This way you have Melinda Warren's three original powers - move items with your mind (Patience), freeze molecules (Phoebe) hand see the future (Prudence) but in different forms, along with the other two elements, throwing fireballs (Phoebe) and transporting people (Paige) to make them the Elemental witches.

But if any one else likes your idea (especially SR and Pheebs, since they've been doing such a great job with the press releases), go for it! Or, for that matter, if you want to keep Patience's Earth power of forming items from earth, go for it! As I said before, part of the fun of our series is so far the only powers that have really been used is Prudence's premonitions and - once - Paige's transporting, so we can still do whatever we want with the other powers, including Earth.

Thank you! It wasn't that big of a deal since I just had to copy and paste - just wish I'd done it better, especially when I see that I'm going to end up with a similar problem with your thread that Colton had with mine.

But since I'm very curious to see what you thought, I'll do my best, copying and pasting again if I have to, doing it slightly differently by using blockquotes rather than quotes in hopes that it won't go away if someone quotes me.

However if someone *does* quote me, BE SURE to delete the [*quote source=""*] quote at the beginning or if anyone quotes YOU, all of the press releases will go away! I’ve learned the hard way – preview before you hit the “Post” button!

For that reason, when I talk about me replying, I’m going to say “Es replied” rather than “I replied” so it will make sense if someone quotes this.

CLASSIC CHARMED STAR DEBBI MORGAN GUEST STARS — When two sisters, who are college friends of Phoebe, play around, chanting the name Bloody Mary (guest star Debbi Morgan) in the mirror, they wind up dead. Patience helps the police make the scene of the crime and Paige handles helping the mourning parents. But when Prudence has a premonition of their surviving daughter seeing a strange shadow in the mirror following her, the Warrens know they have another innocent to save.

Later, things become terrifying when Paige sees Bloody Mary in the mirror holding a baby, and Paige taps into some deep dark secrets of her past that her nieces Piper and Phoebe do not know. When Prudence gets a premonition of Paige dead, the Warrens must not only save their innocent, but also keep Paige safe from harm, in addition to saving their innocent.

Wasn't Bloody Mary one of the scary creatures in 'Chick Flick', even if it didn't include a mirror - although, of course, a mirror *was* used in 'The Fourth Sister'? This episode would be a great nod to those great episodes, even if, typical Classic Charmed, they twisted the mythology to fit their episode.

Although you might be right that it would fit later in the season or even in a different season, depending upon what SC and others had in mind - but it is definitely something I'd want as part of "Elemental Charmed" - great job!

And the idea of connecting Bloody Mary to Peyton is fantastic!

For a second consecutive year, the CW has handed out its first two pilot orders to a high-profile reboot of a long-running series from CBS TV Studios and another project from one of Warner Bros. TV’s top producers.

This time the network has greenlighted a new “Charmed” from the show's original creator. The project will reunite Burge with three of her fellow writing staff: Sheryl. J Anderson and the popular team of Chris Levinson and Zach Estrin. Also joining the project is Paul Ruditis, known for his work on the popular Charmed comic series and author of several Charmed novels.  Burge will act as executive producer while the others will write all of the episodes.

The CW originally tried to bring back “Charmed”, one of the signature dramas of predecessor The WB, last season, when it ordered a reimagining of the original Aaron Spelling series from the same creative auspices. It was to be set in 1976 and feature a new trio of witches. The project was rolled over to this development season. 

The new “Charmed” script, penned by Anderson and Ruditis and based on a story by Burge, is set in present time. Per The CW, whose brass greenlighted the pilot shortly after getting the script, “this new dark, dramatic ‘Charmed’ reboot" of the original series centers on five women, and unlike the original classic series, this new take will be incorporating the five elements (Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit)

Charmed Reboot, "Elemental Charmed" signs well-known actresses for key roles

The new dark, dramatic Charmed reboot, "Elemental Charmed" has signed three well-known actresses to play the three older witches.

TBC, known for playing TBC on “TBA”, will play Prudence Warren, the fiery matriarch of the Warren clan, the SpiritHolder, whose Elemental power of Spirit lets her see the future.

TBC, known for playing TBC on “TBA”, will play Prudence's calm, quiet oldest daughter, Patience Warren, the EarthMover, whose Elemental power of Earth lets her throw people and objects.

TBC, known for play TBC on “TBA” will play Prudence's younger daughter, quirky, fun-loving Paige Warren, the WindWalker, whose Elemental power of Air lets her transport herself and others.

The other starring roles, that of Patience's two daughters, Piper Warren, the FireStarter, and Phoebe Warren, the WaterBearer, will be played by actresses starring for the first time, and word has it that every young dark-haired actress in Hollywood is hoping for the chance to audition.

If picked up, CBS Productions slates "Elemental Charmed" to start on Sunday, October 14th on The CW, one week after the 20th anniversary of the airing of the cult classic's premiere episode. That episode, 'Something Wicca This Way Comes' will be shown on its twentieth anniversary, the first “Charmed” episode to be broadcasted in remastered HD.

The one-hour special titled "Charmed: 20 Years of Magic" will see the three stars reuniting and reflecting on the legacy of the series, the impact it has on pop culture, and just why now is the perfect time for “Charmed” to return. The special will also showcase some previously unseen footage from popular “Charmed” episodes, and will give viewers a deeper look into the making of "Elemental Charmed", the new “Charmed” reboot, set to begin the following week.

I checked online, and CBS airs on Friday Nights, MacGyver reboot at 8 pm, Hawaii Five-O reboot at 9 pm and Blue Bloods at 10 pm. On Sunday Nights, they are airing a new series called God Friended Me at 8 pm and NCIS: Los Angeles at 9 pm.

Even though I want to go back and reply to the other posts I haven't commented on yet, i HAD to pop back and comment on this right away! Absolutely totally LOVE it, Pheebs! I'm glad you liked my idea of moving our show from broadcast TV to network TV as compared to Supergirl which did it in reverse and I *so* love how you find real press releases and adapt them for out show!

You calling it a "fantasy drama" really made me smile - that's truly what we'd want our show to be, one that takes itself seriously, the way early Classic Charmed did. 

My only problem with this is that the way I have it set up, Shannen wouldn't appear in the Season One finale.  However, I think that can be fixed by showing flashbacks of the Salem Witch Trials that include both sisters (I'll add here that I absolutely love your idea of having one sister the start of a line of witches and the other the start of a line of warlocks, but I still don't think they have to - or should be - non-identical twins.  But as always in this project, I'll bow to the majority's opinion.

"Elemental Charmed" Renewed for Season Two, Moves To CBS

CBS has picked up its first new series for next season, and it is not that new. After weeks of speculation, "'Elemental Charmed" will move from cable channel The CW to its broadcast sister network CBS, which has renewed the fantasy drama for a second season.

The pickup, which comes hours after the most recent deadline for The CW to renew freshman series, will find its new home at CBS, with the likes of other old properties which have in the past few years been rebooted and redeveloped for the CBS audience.


An ''Elemental Charmed' move to CBS had been rumored for a while, with talks becoming real the last few days. A CBS pickup was contingent on finding a way to produce a show of that scale and since CBS also partners The CW network, the decision to move the series should make for a smooth transition. 


CBS frequently had been mentioned as a suitable home for 'Elemental Charmed' because the show’s audience tending to skew older than the ones who usually watch The CW, the CBS president's public comments about regretting not going after the project when it was originally pitched, and the fact that CBS co-owns part of The CW. 


This is the complete opposite of what happened a few years back, when "Supergirl" was rumored to be moving from CBS to The CW; this time a series originally aired on The CW is making the move.


Despite the fact that its numbers were consistent for The CW and the series would have still been ordered for a second season, they found that most of their younger core audience wasn't responding to the series, which center around three generations of a family of witches. 

Producer Connie Burge explained in an interview: "Although The CW was very supportive of our show, we didn't find it connected with the younger audience, and the network felt this would have meant the series would undergo a revamp in the second season, only starring TBC and TBC who play Piper and Phoebe, the youngest members of the Warren family, something we didn't want to do." 

TBC who plays Prudence, the matriarch of the Warren family, joked to interviewers 'I was convinced that had the series stayed on The CW, I would be out of a job, because they would have killed me off."

But TBC turned serious as she added, "The move will allow the show to still remain the staple it was on The CW; we just found that the audience connected with us older women just as much as they connected with the younger ones. I am really pleased with the move, and look forward to our show telling more great stories about the Warren women."

Paul Ruditis, one of the chief writers, relieved panicking fans that "All the ladies are coming back for Season Two, the foundation and mythology we set up in our first season will progress in Season Two. We will continue to tell great stories for these Warren women."

Ruditis also hinted that the second season might go deeper into the family lives of the Warrens. We could possibly see some backstories forming from some of our ladies.

Classic Charmed stars 'Shannen Doherty' and 'Alyssa Milano' to guest star in undisclosed roles for the season finale of 'Elemental Charmed'

The former stars of the original Classic series 'Charmed' have both booked guest-starring roles in the series' upcoming season finale set to air May 19th. 

Connie Burge, who created the classic series that starred Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano and Rose McGowan and is executive producer for the new series, had been considering bringing the former stars onto the show for some time. "I've been trying to find suitable roles for Shannen, Alyssa, Holly, and Rose. But I just couldn't find the right story. But after collaboration with Sheryl J. Anderson, who wrote the season finale, we found the perfect roles for them."

Shannen Doherty revealed that she was called about appearing in 'Elemental Charmed' and admits she was hesitant to take the offer. But after hearing what Burge had planned for her, and then hearing she had talked to Alyssa Milano who would also be appearing. Shannen felt the timing was right, and that fans of the original classic series would really like what Connie and Sheryl have planned.

Alyssa Milano told press, "Just being approached was such an honor. I spent eight years of my life with 'Charmed', so this was almost like a high-school reunion, and when I heard Shannen was also going to be a part of it, I really wanted to do it. I haven't worked with Shannen in nearly 20 years, but the two of us have connected through social media for a while and I can't wait to see her again."

Burge mentioned that she hopes that other stars like Holly Marie Combs, Rose McGowan, Brian Krause and Julian McMahon could appear in the series further down the line. "I don't want to overcrowd this series with too many guest appearances. But it's not out of the question."

Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano will start filming their scenes for the season finale in April.

CLASSIC CHARMED STARS SHANNEN DOHERTY AND ALYSSA MILANO GUEST STAR IN SEASON FINALE - While attending a tour of the Salem Witch Museum with Paige and Prudence, who corrects the details of history, Piper and Phoebe learn more about their ancestors and about the Warren line. Through flashbacks we learn about the life and death of their ancestor Mary Ann Warren (special guest star Alyssa Milano) and her sister Jenna Warren (special guest star Shannen Doherty).

At the same time, Patience is called to the scene of a woman who may have hung herself, but who Patience thinks was murdered by a warlock.

The Warrens learn that a witch hunter is targeting women believed to be ancestors of the Salem Witch Trial victims and may be working for the warlock. But Prudence has a premonition revealing that the witch hunter is a descendant of one of the men responsible for Mary Ann's hanging. When the Warrens use the five Elements to find the burial site of the Salem Witches, the spirit of one of the murdered victims suddenly possesses Prudence.  The Warrens are unsure which of their ancestors is possessing Prudence and whether she means to harm them or hurt them.

I don't know if I'm too late to add this but I've been mulling over ideas for the Earth power and thought that wouldn't it be cool if Patience could grant and remove "Lifeforce" from animate beings.

She could do all the stereotypical Earthy things, such as making flowers bloom, but she'd also have a limited form of healing. My hypothesis for the mechanics of this ability would be that physical injuries "kill" skin and healthy bodily function, in a sense, so Patty could grant "life" back into the person and heal their wounds. Similarly, if an Innocent was suffering a heart attack, she could regulate their blood flow and restore the heart's normal function.

On the opposite end of the scale, she could induce harm to a demon/enemy but restricting "Lifeforce" to them; the warlock, Nicholas', "blood-boiling" power comes to mind here.

I have been really concentrating on other parts of our reboot including plots and getting the character stories sorted and figuring out the living situations and backstory properly, that I admit that all the powers have really not been on my mind at all. 

But, I do really think sorting out the powers is the next thing, I hope we can address. But like Es said, if anyone else here likes those ideas, go for it! We can have several different directions or alternate powers. That when we get much further into the project, at a later point, we can have a master 'Elemental Charmed' where we figure out truly which one works, and agree as a team. 

But on that note, Prudence and Paige's powers do seem pretty settled. Deano, I do like your suggestion of inducing harm like the warlock Nicholas, with "blood-boiling" powers. But we might end up wanting to have Peyton have that power further down the line.  All part of the fun in coming up with ideas. 

But in regards to healing, I wonder if we might actually have fun with maybe making Prudence being an ex nurse, that way she can use actual medical knowledge to heal injuries the human way, or the use of potions to heal injuries. But not having whitelighters or healing abilities. 

Again, if others want healing, and enough agree. I'll go with the majority.

Thank you! It wasn't that big of a deal since I just had to copy and paste - just wish I'd done it better, especially when I see that I'm going to end up with a similar problem with your thread that Colton had with mine.

But since I'm very curious to see what you thought, I'll do my best, copying and pasting again if I have to, doing it slightly differently by using blockquotes rather than quotes in hopes that it won't go away if someone quotes me.

However if someone *does* quote me, BE SURE to delete the [*quote source=""*] quote at the beginning or if anyone quotes YOU, all of the press releases will go away! I’ve learned the hard way – preview before you hit the “Post” button!

For that reason, when I talk about me replying, I’m going to say “Es replied” rather than “I replied” so it will make sense if someone quotes this.

I'm going to have to keep an eye out myself when I reply - make sure I don't have a similar problem that Colton had.

CLASSIC CHARMED STAR DEBBI MORGAN GUEST STARS — When two sisters, who are college friends of Phoebe, play around, chanting the name Bloody Mary (guest star Debbi Morgan) in the mirror, they wind up dead. Patience helps the police make the scene of the crime and Paige handles helping the mourning parents. But when Prudence has a premonition of their surviving daughter seeing a strange shadow in the mirror following her, the Warrens know they have another innocent to save.

Later, things become terrifying when Paige sees Bloody Mary in the mirror holding a baby, and Paige taps into some deep dark secrets of her past that her nieces Piper and Phoebe do not know. When Prudence gets a premonition of Paige dead, the Warrens must not only save their innocent, but also keep Paige safe from harm, in addition to saving their innocent.

For a second consecutive year, the CW has handed out its first two pilot orders to a high-profile reboot of a long-running series from CBS TV Studios and another project from one of Warner Bros. TV’s top producers.

This time the network has greenlighted a new “Charmed” from the show's original creator. The project will reunite Burge with three of her fellow writing staff: Sheryl. J Anderson and the popular team of Chris Levinson and Zach Estrin. Also joining the project is Paul Ruditis, known for his work on the popular Charmed comic series and author of several Charmed novels.  Burge will act as executive producer while the others will write all of the episodes.

The CW originally tried to bring back “Charmed”, one of the signature dramas of predecessor The WB, last season, when it ordered a reimagining of the original Aaron Spelling series from the same creative auspices. It was to be set in 1976 and feature a new trio of witches. The project was rolled over to this development season. 

The new “Charmed” script, penned by Anderson and Ruditis and based on a story by Burge, is set in present time. Per The CW, whose brass greenlighted the pilot shortly after getting the script, “this new dark, dramatic ‘Charmed’ reboot" of the original series centers on five women, and unlike the original classic series, this new take will be incorporating the five elements (Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit)

The new dark, dramatic Charmed reboot, "Elemental Charmed" has signed three well-known actresses to play the three older witches.

TBC, known for playing TBC on “TBA”, will play Prudence Warren, the fiery matriarch of the Warren clan, the SpiritHolder, whose Elemental power of Spirit lets her see the future.

TBC, known for playing TBC on “TBA”, will play Prudence's calm, quiet oldest daughter, Patience Warren, the EarthMover, whose Elemental power of Earth lets her throw people and objects.

TBC, known for play TBC on “TBA” will play Prudence's younger daughter, quirky, fun-loving Paige Warren, the WindWalker, whose Elemental power of Air lets her transport herself and others.

The other starring roles, that of Patience's two daughters, Piper Warren, the FireStarter, and Phoebe Warren, the WaterBearer, will be played by actresses starring for the first time, and word has it that every young dark-haired actress in Hollywood is hoping for the chance to audition.

I really like you have done with these new press releases. Great job, Team Charmed Cafe.

The backstory of Mary Ann and Jenna Warren is great. Especially the idea of having one sister the start of a line of witches and the other the start of a line of warlocks.

Another suggestion is having our very own That 70s Episode' with renaming it That 90s Episode' the title a nod to the Classic original episode. But coming up with our own fun time travel episode or one that would explore the past, show exactly what happened to Peyton, how the sisters got sent away in more detail, and such.

What does everyone think of that idea?

"Elemental Charmed" Renewed for Season Two, Moves To CBS

CBS has picked up its first new series for next season, and it is not that new. After weeks of speculation, "'Elemental Charmed" will move from cable channel The CW to its broadcast sister network CBS, which has renewed the fantasy drama for a second season.

The pickup, which comes hours after the most recent deadline for The CW to renew freshman series, will find its new home at CBS, with the likes of other old properties which have in the past few years been rebooted and redeveloped for the CBS audience.


An ''Elemental Charmed' move to CBS had been rumored for a while, with talks becoming real the last few days. A CBS pickup was contingent on finding a way to produce a show of that scale and since CBS also partners The CW network, the decision to move the series should make for a smooth transition. 


CBS frequently had been mentioned as a suitable home for 'Elemental Charmed' because the show’s audience tending to skew older than the ones who usually watch The CW, the CBS president's public comments about regretting not going after the project when it was originally pitched, and the fact that CBS co-owns part of The CW. 


This is the complete opposite of what happened a few years back, when "Supergirl" was rumored to be moving from CBS to The CW; this time a series originally aired on The CW is making the move.


Despite the fact that its numbers were consistent for The CW and the series would have still been ordered for a second season, they found that most of their younger core audience wasn't responding to the series, which center around three generations of a family of witches. 

Producer Connie Burge explained in an interview: "Although The CW was very supportive of our show, we didn't find it connected with the younger audience, and the network felt this would have meant the series would undergo a revamp in the second season, only starring TBC and TBC who play Piper and Phoebe, the youngest members of the Warren family, something we didn't want to do." 

TBC who plays Prudence, the matriarch of the Warren family, joked to interviewers 'I was convinced that had the series stayed on The CW, I would be out of a job, because they would have killed me off."

But TBC turned serious as she added, "The move will allow the show to still remain the staple it was on The CW; we just found that the audience connected with us older women just as much as they connected with the younger ones. I am really pleased with the move, and look forward to our show telling more great stories about the Warren women."

Paul Ruditis, one of the chief writers, relieved panicking fans that "All the ladies are coming back for Season Two, the foundation and mythology we set up in our first season will progress in Season Two. We will continue to tell great stories for these Warren women."

Ruditis also hinted that the second season might go deeper into the family lives of the Warrens. We could possibly see some backstories forming from some of our ladies.

Classic Charmed stars 'Shannen Doherty' and 'Alyssa Milano' to guest star in undisclosed roles for the season finale of 'Elemental Charmed'

The former stars of the original Classic series 'Charmed' have both booked guest-starring roles in the series' upcoming season finale set to air May 19th. 

Connie Burge, who created the classic series that starred Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano and Rose McGowan and is executive producer for the new series, had been considering bringing the former stars onto the show for some time. "I've been trying to find suitable roles for Shannen, Alyssa, Holly, and Rose. But I just couldn't find the right story. But after collaboration with Sheryl J. Anderson, who wrote the season finale, we found the perfect roles for them."

Shannen Doherty revealed that she was called about appearing in 'Elemental Charmed' and admits she was hesitant to take the offer. But after hearing what Burge had planned for her, and then hearing she had talked to Alyssa Milano who would also be appearing. Shannen felt the timing was right, and that fans of the original classic series would really like what Connie and Sheryl have planned.

Alyssa Milano told press, "Just being approached was such an honor. I spent eight years of my life with 'Charmed', so this was almost like a high-school reunion, and when I heard Shannen was also going to be a part of it, I really wanted to do it. I haven't worked with Shannen in nearly 20 years, but the two of us have connected through social media for a while and I can't wait to see her again."

Burge mentioned that she hopes that other stars like Holly Marie Combs, Rose McGowan, Brian Krause and Julian McMahon could appear in the series further down the line. "I don't want to overcrowd this series with too many guest appearances. But it's not out of the question."

Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano will start filming their scenes for the season finale in April.

CLASSIC CHARMED STARS SHANNEN DOHERTY AND ALYSSA MILANO GUEST STAR IN SEASON FINALE - While attending a tour of the Salem Witch Museum with Paige and Prudence, who corrects the details of history, Piper and Phoebe learn more about their ancestors and about the Warren line. Through flashbacks we learn about the life and death of their ancestor Mary Ann Warren (special guest star Alyssa Milano) and her sister Jenna Warren (special guest star Shannen Doherty).

At the same time, Patience is called to the scene of a woman who may have hung herself, but who Patience thinks was murdered by a warlock.

The Warrens learn that a witch hunter is targeting women believed to be ancestors of the Salem Witch Trial victims and may be working for the warlock. But Prudence has a premonition revealing that the witch hunter is a descendant of one of the men responsible for Mary Ann's hanging. When the Warrens use the five Elements to find the burial site of the Salem Witches, the spirit of one of the murdered victims suddenly possesses Prudence.  The Warrens are unsure which of their ancestors is possessing Prudence and whether she means to harm them or hurt them.

I think this is perfect! Pheebs yet again you're killing the press releases. Can't wait to do some more on the weekend. I can't wait for when we are able to put these in chronlogical order when we have our first season in order. 

Es and Pheebs you have the thumbs up from me, that I don't think anything above needs changing unless of course we end up adding more to the plots or rework the stories for another episode or season. As of now, I really am impressed.

I have been really concentrating on other parts of our reboot including plots and getting the character stories sorted and figuring out the living situations and backstory properly, that I admit that all the powers have really not been on my mind at all. 

But, I do really think sorting out the powers is the next thing, I hope we can address. But like Es said, if anyone else here likes those ideas, go for it! We can have several different directions or alternate powers. That when we get much further into the project, at a later point, we can have a master 'Elemental Charmed' where we figure out truly which one works, and agree as a team. 

But on that note, Prudence and Paige's powers do seem pretty settled. Deano, I do like your suggestion of inducing harm like the warlock Nicholas, with "blood-boiling" powers. But we might end up wanting to have Peyton have that power further down the line.  All part of the fun in coming up with ideas. 

But in regards to healing, I wonder if we might actually have fun with maybe making Prudence being an ex nurse, that way she can use actual medical knowledge to heal injuries the human way, or the use of potions to heal injuries. But not having whitelighters or healing abilities. 

Again, if others want healing, and enough agree. I'll go with the majority.

Season 1, Episode 6: 'Reflections of the Dark Kind'

CLASSIC CHARMED STAR DEBBI MORGAN GUEST STARS — When two sisters, who are college friends of Phoebe, play around, chanting the name Bloody Mary (guest star Debbi Morgan) in the mirror, they wind up dead. Patience helps the police make the scene of the crime and Paige handles helping the mourning parents. But when Prudence has a premonition of their surviving daughter seeing a strange shadow in the mirror following her, the Warrens know they have another innocent to save.

Later, things become terrifying when Paige sees Bloody Mary in the mirror holding a baby, and Paige taps into some deep dark secrets of her past that her nieces Piper and Phoebe do not know. When Prudence gets a premonition of Paige dead, the Warrens must not only save their innocent, but also keep Paige safe from harm, in addition to saving their innocent.

Wasn't Bloody Mary one of the scary creatures in 'Chick Flick', even if it didn't include a mirror - although, of course, a mirror *was* used in 'The Fourth Sister'? This episode would be a great nod to those great episodes, even if, typical Classic Charmed, they twisted the mythology to fit their episode.

Although as I said in an earlier post, the more I think about it, the more I don't think including our stars as Prudence, Patience and Paige is a good idea - it was just Es having fun dreaming of what could be, maybe not what should be. But if/when we decide to "cast" this, this is a great way of doing it.

Reboot From Original Creator, Original Writers, and Editor/Writer of the Popular Charmed Comics Season 9 Get CW Pilot Orders

For a second consecutive year, the CW has handed out its first two pilot orders to a high-profile reboot of a long-running series from CBS TV Studios and another project from one of Warner Bros. TV’s top producers.

This time the network has greenlighted a new “Charmed” from the show's original creator. The project will reunite Burge with three of her fellow writing staff: Sheryl. J Anderson and the popular team of Chris Levinson and Zach Estrin. Also joining the project is Paul Ruditis, known for his work on the popular Charmed comic series and author of several Charmed novels.  Burge will act as executive producer while the others will write all of the episodes.

The CW originally tried to bring back “Charmed”, one of the signature dramas of predecessor The WB, last season, when it ordered a reimagining of the original Aaron Spelling series from the same creative auspices. It was to be set in 1976 and feature a new trio of witches. The project was rolled over to this development season. 

The new “Charmed” script, penned by Anderson and Ruditis and based on a story by Burge, is set in present time. Per The CW, whose brass greenlighted the pilot shortly after getting the script, “this new dark, dramatic ‘Charmed’ reboot" of the original series centers on five women, and unlike the original classic series, this new take will be incorporating the five elements (Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit)

Charmed Reboot, "Elemental Charmed" signs well-known actresses for key roles

The new dark, dramatic Charmed reboot, "Elemental Charmed" has signed three well-known actresses to play the three older witches.

TBC, known for playing TBC on “TBA”, will play Prudence Warren, the fiery matriarch of the Warren clan, the SpiritHolder, whose Elemental power of Spirit lets her see the future.

TBC, known for playing TBC on “TBA”, will play Prudence's calm, quiet oldest daughter, Patience Warren, the EarthMover, whose Elemental power of Earth lets her throw people and objects.

TBC, known for play TBC on “TBA” will play Prudence's younger daughter, quirky, fun-loving Paige Warren, the WindWalker, whose Elemental power of Air lets her transport herself and others.

The other starring roles, that of Patience's two daughters, Piper Warren, the FireStarter, and Phoebe Warren, the WaterBearer, will be played by actresses starring for the first time, and word has it that every young dark-haired actress in Hollywood is hoping for the chance to audition.

If picked up, CBS Productions slates "Elemental Charmed" to start on Sunday, October 14th on The CW, one week after the 20th anniversary of the airing of the cult classic's premiere episode. That episode, 'Something Wicca This Way Comes' will be shown on its twentieth anniversary, the first “Charmed” episode to be broadcasted in remastered HD.

I know that television series Holly was a regular on Pretty Little Liars has a number of options for Piper and Phoebe, but I don't know much about those stars. But if someone can convince me why they should be cast, I'll listen.

CHARMED 20TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION SPECIAL SET TO AIR OCTOBER 7TH

I don't know if I'm too late to add this but I've been mulling over ideas for the Earth power and thought that wouldn't it be cool if Patience could grant and remove "Lifeforce" from animate beings.

She could do all the stereotypical Earthy things, such as making flowers bloom, but she'd also have a limited form of healing. My hypothesis for the mechanics of this ability would be that physical injuries "kill" skin and healthy bodily function, in a sense, so Patty could grant "life" back into the person and heal their wounds. Similarly, if an Innocent was suffering a heart attack, she could regulate their blood flow and restore the heart's normal function.

On the opposite end of the scale, she could induce harm to a demon/enemy but restricting "Lifeforce" to them; the warlock, Nicholas', "blood-boiling" power comes to mind here.

But in regards to healing, I wonder if we might actually have fun with maybe making Prudence being an ex nurse, that way she can use actual medical knowledge to heal injuries the human way, or the use of potions to heal injuries. But not having whitelighters or healing abilities. 

I think the idea of Peyton having that power (although right now her power is Water, not Fire or Earth - BUT as a warlock, she could steal these powers, but by killing other witches, not her family) having that power is a fantastic idea.

So is making Prudence an ex-nurse (or even a full doctor...) who can help heal injuries, but not people who are dead. We've yet to come up with an occupation for Prudence and that would be a great one!

Come along next page, I get the feeling I'm going to have to redo our whole thing, including these and other additions/subtractions/changes.

The backstory of Mary Ann and Jenna Warren is great. Especially the idea of having one sister the start of a line of witches and the other the start of a line of warlocks.

Another suggestion is having our very own That 70s Episode' with renaming it That 90s Episode' the title a nod to the Classic original episode. But coming up with our own fun time travel episode or one that would explore the past, show exactly what happened to Peyton, how the sisters got sent away in more detail, and such.

Oh, *definitely* like that idea, Ruth! And because ours is a true reboot of the show, unlike the ripoff, I think we can get away with doing this - doing our versions of favorite Charmed episodes. In something like 'The 90's Episode', would it be *just* Piper and Phoebe who would go time-traveling with the other actresses playing younger versions of themselves? If so, it's why having the actresses being younger than their characters (since it's easier to make younger actors look older than making older actors look younger...hehehehehe, yeah, I still like my idea of the originals playing the older Warrens, even if I've agreed not to do that, since I admit I can't see Holly agreeing to look that much older than Shannen and Alyssa in every episode!

Perhaps you’re right about the women using spells and potions to heal, summerreading - like the witch, Janna, did in ‘Exit Strategy’ with her healing paste - as this would require more time and effort (I.e, needing the right herbs, perhaps it only works at midnight) than simply sticking out your hand and ‘hey presto!’

Actually, in the book I’m currently reading, Labyrinth Lost, one of the witches can heal but she has to “absorb” the injury herself so maybe that’s another route because then, obviously, this form of healing can’t be used for every little cut or scrape.

But these are only suggestions if you do wantbuo include a healing power further down the line.

I love the idea of Prudence being a nurse or doctor.

Deano. That's an interesting twist to healing. Maybe even everytime she heals it weakens her or takes a day of her own life away. So they'd have to only use it in rare cases. Can't heal the dead. But maybe

That is correct, she can steal these powers and killing other witches, not her family. I'm glad you liked that power idea Es, what do others think? 

I just thought of the idea that our Nexus or Hollow, might need the five elements to unlock or get access to it. That Peyton might want to get their powers for her own gains to get inside. Not sure where we would have our Nexus or Hollow located, maybe the Salem Witches burial site or just go Classic Charmed and near the Manor. 

We didn't come up with an occupation for Prudence yet, If others agree, I'd love for that to be hers. 

I have a feeling we're only a few replies off from being on a new page.

What a wonderful idea, Ruth! Maybe Piper and Phoebe would just travel, I don't think to have the others travel would work. But maybe, like Phoebe going back to the 20's to find the pendant from 'Pardon My Past'. The reason they go back in time is to find something important or another reason they end up in the 90's. I guess the older Warren's could be dealing with their own crisis in the present. 

That's a good point, we might have to cast actresses younger for the parts. It isn't uncommon that shows do this Es. You find that actresses who play the mothers to their kids are sometimes only a decade older than the actors or actresses playing their kids. 

I don't think Holly would agree either.

Those are good suggestions. But I wouldn't want any healing powers to heal the dead. Plus if we're going to have Prudence being a doctor, maybe we wouldn't need a healing power.

Maybe the Warren's come across someone who has a healing power but this Witch doesn't survive long enough. But play with all the idea's you suggested above. Maybe this Witch keeps healing, and the more she heals, the more she absorbs, the more it drains her to the point that she dies.
