Is Season 6 the most disappointing season and why?

It's like I say in other threads, it depends on what you're looking for.

I can understand if the audience is more interested in their sister dynamic and don't want any other characters involved, then yes S6 would NOT be the season for that kind of audience.

HOWEVER, if you're like me and enjoy the world building (OTHER characters, mythology, places, etc.) S6 is actually really impressive (I'd say even moreso than S2, S4-S5 & S7-S8):

- Valhalla & the Valkyries
- The Stillman Sisters
- The Callaways vs the Montanas
- Fake world based off of your desires/dreams
- Underworld AH + BOS being outdated, when a demon becomes more powerful but nobody knows about it to update it
- Manticores looking demonic instead of being leather wearing humans that throw fireballs + a mere human turning himself into a monster
- Seeing Chris' future + Bianca and her kind
- Magic School & all other magical witches it brought into the show, when the show usually only contains practicing witches, S6 (because of Magic School) gave us more magical witches than the rest of the show
- Lost city of Sandbar
- The Ghostly Plane
- The mirrored but evil world

I'm REALLY invested in the S6 world, even if our leading ladies aren't their best versions, when the world building is EXTREMELY well-written, I can't fault it for it. Not to mention S6 is actually the BEST season, in acknowledging the PO3. I remember my conversation with prueislove about the PO3 not always being acknowledged, in the show. Well, S6 acknowledges it, the MOST:

- It requires the PO3 to vanquish the Trogg Demon, in S6E1 "Valhalley of the Dolls, Pt 1"
- It requires the PO3 to vanquish the Slime Demon, in S6E11 "Witchstock"
- It requires the PO3 to vanquish the Swarm Demon King, in S6E13 "Used Karma"
- The Charmed Ones said a spell that required the PO3 to reverse being beheaded, in S6E14 "The Legend of Sleepy Halliwell"
- Piper said it requires the PO3 to vanquish the Scabber Demons, in S6E17 "Hyde School Reunion" (regardless how we feel about this episode, doesn't matter, we're just logging PO3 acknowledgment)
- It requires the PO3 to bless the Spider-Demon vanquishing potion, in S6E18 "Spin City"
- It requires the PO3 to open up the portal, to the mirrored but evil world, in S6E22 "It's a Bad, Bad, Bad, Bad World, Pt 1"

S6 is (also) the ONLY season about Phoebe's Empathy. The times I feel she was most controlled with it was in the following episodes:

- S6E7 "Soul Survivor"
- S6E13 "Used Karma"
- S6E14 "The Legend of Sleepy Halliwell"
- S6E17 "Hyde School Reunion"

I am REALLY bummed that we don't see it used more often especially post-S6. Especially because I feel like she would've been another Kyra & how Kyra can "sense" things in S7E10 "Witchness Protection". S6E14 "The Legend of Sleepy Halliwell" is the ONLY episode to operate Empathy similar to Kyra, in S7E10 "Witchness Protection" & how Empathy SHOULD'VE worked, the whole time, but I digress.

S6 (also) has the THREE of them working together a bit more than the likes of S2, S5 & S7:

- S6E1 "Valhalley of the Dolls, Pt 1", Trogg Demon vanquish
- S6E3 "Forget Me...Not", trying to lure out the Cleaners
- S6E4 "The Power of Three Blondes", trying to take down the Stillman sisters
- S6E10 "Chris-Crossed", working together to put the spell that Chris needed beneath the attic floorboards
- S6E11 "Witchstock", Slime Demon vanquish
- S6E12 "Prince Charmed", all three working together, to get Wyatt back
- S6E13 "Used Karma", Swarm Demon King vanquish
- S6E14 "The Legend of Sleepy Halliwell", reversing being behead

S2, S5 & S7 aren't on par with that.

All that being said and done, it just depends on what you're looking for, and what interests you, the most. I understand S6 is probably not the best season to be as "sisterly" or even original Warren power friendly, but it does checkmark other things, for me.

EDIT: I'd like to add that S6 offers us the MOST magical witches vs just having practicing witches, compared to other seasons.  Second to S6 in bringing in more magical witches is S4.  But S4 doesn't reach the same amount that S6 does.  Just something to note.  Again, the world building is so good & strong!  Just not executed as well as it should've been.

For me, I'm not a huge fan of romance being a focus. I don't hate romance but I've grown up with such terribly written love stories that I just prefer other forms of love. Heck I enjoyed Piper's friendship with that kid's mom in Out of Sight even though it was like a single episode thing and Piper's sweet bond with the manticore child. But the episode Chris-Chrossed annoyed me to pieces. All the sisters cared about anymore was who they slept with. I think the only episode I enjoyed was Legend of the Sleepy Halliwell and the one with the manticore kid because the first one was very much about protecting the innocent in not a usual sort of way.

Again, to be fair, they thought Bianca was dead. It wasn't until they found out that she can regenerate is when they became more involved.

And this is just one example I gave. There was far too much focus on Paige/Richard for numerous episodes and Phoebe/Jason had been a headache since season 5. Piper's on and off with the fireman annoyed me. Why are we focusing so much on the romances and not on the sisterly aspect that the show is known for?

It's no more than Prue & Andy ALL throughout S1 and/or Piper's love triangle throughout S2? IDK the S6 "romance" didn't bother me because I don't feel it was as potent as the S1 & S2 examples I showed.

Piper and Dan played a good part but it was never consistently a thing. S6 I cannot even remember episodes where its not about one of the men the sisters are dating. Piper was constantly whining about Greg in the genie episode. Were there good episodes? Yes, there were. But overall, if s7 hadn't redeemed itself, I would have given up on Charmed.

The making out doesn't need to be explicit in order for the story to be about them. Merely the constant conversations ABOUT said relationship drives me BANANAS, and the Prue & Andy drama was CONSTANTLY talked about ALL throughout S1! Same with Piper's love triangle ALL THROUGHOUT S2!

The Phoebe & Jason drama was hardly talked about, same with Piper & Greg and Paige & Richard.

In those seasons, it was talked about as a point of supporting one another. In s6, they ditched each other for their romantic relationships. Even s8 was better where Paige got mad at Piper for not calling her for help.

And again, to be fair, does the threat require the PO3? By S6, the Charmed Ones should be strong enough to handle certain threats on their own, unless the threat calls for the "PO3". Even in S8E7 "The Lost Picture Show", when Sam asked Paige if she wanted to grab her sisters for the threat, Paige said "no" and that she was confident in handling it, by herself.

...why are we watching Charmed then? From S1-S5 and even s7 and s8, there's a strong emphasis on there being the three of them and even though Wyatt detracts from that, its never really let go completely.

I've said, multiple times, I'm NOT that big on their sisterhood or JUST about them. I like the world building aspect of the show. Which, I think is equally as important as their sisterhood, which I'm assuming is what you're looking for/interested in.

Ah ok I'm not looking for the worldbuilding that much. I watch it for the sisterhood, I watch it for the Power of Three. If I wanted just something about girl power and magic, there are far better shows.

Be careful! Because their "sisterhood" and "the PO3" are TWO different things! I like "the PO3" concept, as well (which S6 DOES acknowledge MORE than ANY other season). Their sisterhood doesn't necessarily need to include/involve "the PO3" concept/idea, as S3E17 "Prewitched" shows.

I agree Charmed is NOT the "best show" in terms of directing, writing, acting, etc. BUT, it is my number one COMFORT show. Something that makes me feel like I'm home versus other TV shows.

Not necessarily. Prue, Piper and Phoebe were sisters that happened to be witches. s6 Paige, Piper and Phoebe were witches that happened to be sisters.

The PO3 is the power, not their sisterhood. Even S8 distinguishes this difference in S8E13 "Repo Manor".

I reject including the comics as the same universe of the show, as it's a different medium, like the Charmed games. Again, in S8E13 "Repo Manor" the Shapeshifters were able to tap into the PO3, same with Patty, in S1E17 "That 70s Episode" (if you want an earlier example than S8).

I heard somewhere (not that I think it's true because I need to fact check it, but I digress) that they weren't going to related, in the beginning but would be friends (which I think would've been cooler, but I digress), instead. I don't deny their closeness plays a factor, I'm just saying for clearer communication I see the PO3 & their sisterhood as two different things. Especially because they have fought and disagreed with each other multiple times, but the PO3 power/magic stayed in tact. Even othr episodes contradict the PO3 lies in their sisterhood narrative like S1E3 "Thank You for Not Morphing", S1E7 "The Fourth Sister", S2E1 "Witch Trial", etc., claim the BOS is their "real power". I don't recall the shapeshifters behaving like sisters to tap into the PO3 nor Patty, but I digress.

Many episodes distinguish the PO3 as a separate entity from their sisterhood. When you say "sisterhood", I don't think "power" nor "magic". I think of physical affection like in S3E17 "Prewitched", at the end, on the couch.

When, I think "the PO3", I think of episodes like S1E17 "That 70s Episide", and Patty tapping into it. Or, S3E3 "Once Upon a Time", when all three spellchant/use the PO3 power to see fairies/trolls.

If they were going to be friends, it would be a different story. But if its not related, why did Prue, Piper and Phoebe using their powers on each other take away their powers and break the power of three?
