I thought I would throw togtether a list of issues folks have brought up on this (and other) boards regrading problems they perceive with the show. If anyone can think of others, you can put them in here and maybe we can direct confused viewers to this thread for answers.
Point #1: No...you didn't miss anything between seasons 3 and 4. There is no lost episode. The way you see it is the way it plays out. There is no "prue's death" episode. It goes straight from Shax leaving to about a week later (TV time) the night before Prue's funeral.
Point #2: Sam does die at the end of "P3 H2O" but he is made a whitelighter again...which is why he shows up in season 5 as Paige's first charge.

And they didn't show a photo of Prue (or a lot of the minor characters) in "Forever Charmed" because it would have cost extra money to pay Shannen (and others, such as an actress to play adult Melinda) for use of their images.

Point #3 Shannen D. was fired from the show for reasons only partially known to the general populace. It happened during the summer between seasons 3 and 4, which sent the producers scrambling for a replacement and a set of stories to not only introduce a new half sister, but to get her up to speed in the whole Charmed Ones lifestyle and destiny.

Uh but they did. You just have to reeealy closely on the wall at the stairs, since the pictures of Prue, Piper and Phoebe together is not shown in a closeup. www.flickr.com/photos/14745154@N05/1563140108/

Wow, how in the world could I ever have missed that when I watched the episode? Well, so does this mean Ms. Doherty has a potential retroactive lawsuit at her fingertips?

(Thank you Primrose!) Wow, how in the world could I ever have missed that when I watched the episode? Well, so does this mean Ms. Doherty has a potential retroactive lawsuit at her fingertips? Because you can't even see S.D. Trust me, I looked extremely close to see if there was a picture of S.D. I was waiting for it! You can't see her right off the board. I'll have to rewind and fast forward a bunch of times very slowly, and zoom in to see her, if she's even there. As of now, it looks like you can't see her. Well, that's just judging from the picture hansmand posted.

They could have PRUE, but young Prue. That's what it is.

Right, young Prue. Just no S.D., she can't sue or due anything if they show little Prue, but I don't think little Prue was even shown. If she was, ok...but I think the Prue fans were looking for Shannen, the Prue we knew of. She was the Prue we all wanted to see, and then I would have been thrilled! To be honest, I would probably be more upset if they showed little Prue, over big Prue. I wanted to see Shannen.

This is really arcane, esoteric stuff. I can just picture each of you with magnifying glass, winding and re-winding, slo-moing and even slower-moing. Have you ever considered working on the Kennedy assassination archival material? There is after all the Zapruder film! Oy veh!

There's the spin-off: CSI Charmed! CBS would just love that. I can just see Henry as a forensics investigator ....

Yes, a serie where they investigate the strangest kinds of criminal cases there is, where the discovery is that there might be supernatural powers involved. Hey, Chris & Wyatt could be added to the cast of characters as experts on the supernatural.

Another common issue that people bring up...
Phoebe's boss at the newspaper is indeed the same actor that played Aviva's aunt Jackie in "the fourth sister" and Brian Thompson is one of the four horsemen from season two and a titan from season five.
Actors are used for different parts.

If you look very careful, then Phoebes workplace The Bay Mirror has changed its location a couple of times too. It started out in an industrial area where it was located in its own one floor building with a large parking lot, but ended up in a tall building in a busy street in the middle of the town.

That's because Phoebe's column was such a hit, the Bay Mirror had to expand. Before it was just a weekly rag, after Jason Dean ....?
