i don't see where the right to judge those two being together i would say that is the fault of series ending but your blaming it on the wrong thing

What are we blaming it on? You need to take a chill pill. Nobody here is attacking your beloved Coop or Phoebe, just the lameness of the storyline. Sorry, but it sucked.

Coop didn't know he was going to end up with Phoebe but the Elders did...see, I was paying attention and so was maracev because that's exactly what she said. Everyone has the right to judge Coop and Phoebe just as you have the right to judge Piper and Leo. And I agree with maracev, the storyline was bad.

you know people like what they want to like and if you don't agree you should do it among yourselves with like minded people so you don't start arguements alot cause conflict of interest.
This maybe a discussion thread but you shouldn't bash what people like cause it is lame to a few of you..Kinda unfair if i do say so myself...OH WAIT I DID

Like you said it's a discussion thread, we are entitled to state our opinion. If you love the Coop and Phoebe relationship, that's fine. But not everyone feels that way.

Tis true, oopen opinion discussion thread, and Phoebe and Coop, were no a match made in heaven... I agree with Maracev that Phoebe and Coles marriage was messed up, but atleast it was real and they overcame alot of things, which is a big part to a relationship and everyone knows it... If you dont have problems, you are bound to crash and burn, which is more than likely what probably happened to Phoebe and Coop at some point... Dont get me wrong but Coop was TOO perfect, theres no such thing in a man...

This isn't a thread where you can only post if you like Coop. There wouldn't be a discussion if everyone thought the same exact way.
Obviously you're getting very offended when someone says something bad about Coop/Phoebe so can't we just agree to disagree and call it a day?

Well, Coop/Pheobe is a too perfect couple. That made this love unlogical. And remember..Cole was her kind of men.. her dreaming prince...but their marriage didn't happen as fast as Pheobe/ Coop's. Why? Wasn't they go too fast?? I cant eccept their love and marriage. For me Cole always the best. Love is not love if it bring you no difficulty, no challence and no hurt..  |

how would you know if there wasn't challenges or difficulties it showed just brief snipettes of what was in the future in flashes for each of them and the children to grandchildren. You can't make statements without really knowing the facts and quite frankly no one really knows what good and bad or how long it took them in the courtship before they married.
when someone marry's out of love they take the good with the bad it is obvious that any couple will face and the bad or difficulties are the things that make you appreciate the good when they happen.

Coop may be a nice enough guy, but Phoebe really truly loved Cole, and because they had problems that made them stronger. I was merely pointing out that maybe Phoebe/Coop arent as strong as Phoebe/Cole...

ummmm yup! but in regaurds to all of this junk that was said bout phoebe and coop or phoebe cole.... we werent given nuff time to know about coop. he was thrown in there. i liked coop i think he would of helped her be level headed. but what do i know ....

I was reading ljones' latest post, and something just didn't seem right to me. ljones, you claim that Coop is just too "perfect," but you told me that the fact that he sees things in a black and white manner isn't perfect.
You say that just because he's a Cupid, likes Phoebe, and frankly, the fact that he's not Cole, he's a fairytale prince for Phoebe.
Besides, what happens in Charmed in "their" time may not be what would be in real life. It might have been...let's say, after Engaged and Confused, I would say there would be another month, for Paige and Henry to get back from their honeymoon, etc.
It could have been four months or even half a year, if we wanted to go that way. Besides, just because they showed the wedding, that doesn't mean it happened RIGHT after. It couldl have been two or three years...in fact, I'd probably say that it was that long. You couldn't take magic school back from the demons in a few months, and the wedding took place in magic school, so...
I feel that Coop has many redeeming qualities to him, and if you would open your eyes and look at him as a regular being (or even a demon, if it would help your case anyway, seeing as you already have a soft spot for them), you'd see that he was simply looking for love, but never able to find it himself.
Do you know how happy Coop would have been to find that Phoebe loved him back? He would have been happy, sure, but that doesn't mean he wasn't confused, hurt, angry...anything other that completely overjoyed. Did you see the expression? He looked rather sad and upset when he found that Phoebe liked him...
Truly.
He thought it would never work. He didn't think they would get together, and as that same episode showed, he tried to get over his love for her to save Phoebe from heartbreak, even though it probably killed him to do so.
I don't care what you think, however. If you say you don't like Coop, I am going to defend him...just like you're going to defend Cole.
We both have rights to our opinions, and we both deserve to have our points looked at.

Yep, that's exactly right. Coop and Phoebe's not-so-forbidden romance is the first example of the Elders voluntarily breaking their own rules.

I think it was obvious that to make the show end on the note it did, Phoebe was going to have to end up with Coop. There just wasn't time to bring in another character or bring back Jason, Dex, or especially not Cole, as all those ships had sailed. It was inevitable and not exactly a big surprise. Paige got Henry, Leo was brought back for Piper, and Phoebe got Coop.
By the way Coop, the actor, just appeared in an episode of NCIS this past week. Not a big role, or one that is going to be recurring, but an interesting one.

Many threads have had heated discussions, but as a guest, you may not be fully aware of this. People are entitled to their opinions of the Coop character and the relationship with Phoebe, whether they agree with you or the next person. So, long as they don't get nasty or vulger, it's just a friendly chat amongst Charmed fans. Nothing more.

If you are new to proboards your probably are not aware to board settings for forums and how they work. Forums can be set to were only members can reply. If so guest can't reply on them and some might not even be able to see what is in the forum.
In speaking terms if Phoebedafox posted here she was at one point a member and full aware of the opinions of others. Being that I have read instead of skimmed her post I can see why she said what she did and I have to agree with her.

I think Coop is cool!
And i also know, from my own experience that "love at first sight", can happen. (It has happened to me not very long ago, and it is a beautiful& strange feeling.)
At least, that is the way i felt it.
