From what I've read, the first five issues is equivalent to an episode rather than an actual story arc, so getting the first book would like getting to watch an entire episode without having to wait through the month-long bunch of commercials. At "The Source" the store where I've been buying the comics, I've seen books that are the same size as the comics but have a cover closer to a paperback. I'm assuming that this book would be like that. Next time I go there, I'll have to check to see what the prices on those are. Hey Es, I have been wondering where you are getting your comics from. I heard there was a great comic shop in Minneapolis, I just don't know the name or location of it. |

Here's the link for the place where I've been getting them: The Source I'm lucky because it's right on the same busline as my apartment. It's in Falcon Heights, across the street from the Larpenteur entrance to the State Fair, or right off Larpenteur and Snelling if that helps you. Best of all, they've been calling and leaving me a message when they're in. Not certain if they'll still have all three issues (they only had #1 and #2 when I got #2), but I'm sure the could order them for you if you wanted them to. I'm still amazed that there's another Charmed fan living in the Twin Cities area! |

Yup, it's honestly called The Source. I've gotten a HUGE kick out of that! It's *so* deliciously ironic!
Off-topic back at you: The State Fair was a lot of fun. I went four times, the first day, the first Saturday, the last Friday and the last day. The first day was the best because the weather was so great.

Continuing Off topic:I went Friday, where the weater was so cold, but the fries and funnel cake made up for that.  On topic,I actually hope some older demons show their faces in the comics. Hopefully it is not like The Source in Season 8 though. Wasn't Zankou suppose to appear? |

I'm 99.9% certain that Zankou will appear. I've noticed that the ones who appear in the first two issues (#1 & #2) all appeared as comics in the Source Book. I'm going to guess everyone who appears as comics in there will be part of the first "episode" (#1-#5) while those who are only pictured (Patty, Grams, Big Wyatt, Big Chris, Billie, Prue, Cole) won't, at least in the first "episode". That way when the first book comes out (which will include #0-#5), those will be the ones in that book. And the only "possible returning bad guy" done as a comic in #0 is Zankou.
And since he was my favorite of the bad guys (with the Crone and Debbi Morgan's Seer as my favorite of the bad gals) because he was truly intelligent, I'm very happy about that.

Talk about causing speculation, take a look at this cover for issue #3:  If you look in the upper right corner you'll see what I'm talking about. This cover which I have seen on the Charmed Wiki and on Zomgas's site is for the exclusive cover from the New York Comic Con for issue #3, Innocents Lost. What do you think it means? We've only got nine more days until it comes out on October 6th and this has me more curious then ever. And I already was curious about this one because Tyler's in it. |

That's obviously just to advertise the convention. My guess is that the story will have absolutely nothing to do with the cover. I agree - the cover sucks as much as the old WB promos that only advertised the show as having sexy women, not a great plotline.
Oh, yeah, that's right. At the time those were being used the shows *weren't* using great plotlines.
No wonder The WB died...

Still, the fact that Prue is on the cover is interesting. I can't see what her presense on the cover has to do with the comic con. Yes, I'm sure the image of New York is because of the comic con being in New York, just as much as the last limited cover was in Toronto because the fan expo was in Toronto, but I'm more interested in the fact that Prue's on the cover than the fact that the yellow and red is a bit over powering and that they could have chosen different pictures than they did, especially a picture of Prue that wasn't from season one, but what are your thoughts about the fact that Prue is on the cover at all.

If anyone is interested in a preview of what appears to be the first few pages of Issue #3, you can find them here. SPOILER: In this preview we have the names of three known innocents, two of whom are dead, and one of whom is missing. The dead ones are both from season two, Owen Grant (from "She's a Man, Baby, a Man!" and Marcy Steadwell (from "Ms. Hellfire). The missing one is from season one, Beth Whittlesey (from "Is There a Woogy In the House?"). It also says another innocent is missing, but does not mention them by name.
We also get our first glimps of Henry and I must say I am very disappointed. Hopefully they will improve with other issues, but I suspect we will just have to get used to his new look.
Phoebe is not in the preview. According to Piper she is at work.
We also get mentions of Billie and Darryl. Paige orbed Billie (who apparently lives in LA) sometime previous to the conversation in the previews back east to where Darryl and his family are. She is having Billie protect Darryl and family.
Grams (unseen) directed Piper to find a page in the Book that explains what probably happened to Brittany when she died.
Paige choses to try and rescue Tyler first, because she's already lost one teenager this week and doesn't want to loose another, which confirms that Brent is indeed dead. (Not that there was much doubt). They orb out and find themselves in a house that is on fire, most likely Tyler's house.And that's just the five pages that are previewed there. Six days and eight hours or so. I can do this. It's only a week. And it's such a busy one, too, but I want to know what happens. I was completely not this impatient with the other issues, but I am so worried about Tyler and others among my favorite innocents. |
