I don't like the idea of Phoebe's kids using Cupid powers, just as much as Es would dislike Piper summoning vines. Well, I hate the idea of dead guys being able to both father kids and worse, pass on their whitelighter powers when the kids are alive and haven't earned them yet, and I've had to tolerate it, so you might have to, too.

Obviously the vines are playing a role in the first arc of this comic since its featured so much. And covers are meant to draw people in so I dont mind it to much. there have been worse covers that are more revealing.

^Probably to target the male comic readers.
And yes Es, indeed INNOCENTS!!!
Also, now we know Piper won't be summoning vines( or anyone throwing fireballs for no reason)! This just keeps getting better.

This just keeps getting better. Where did you get that Piper isn't summoning the vines? Nothing in the interview made me think that they wouldn't be giving the sisters new powers but I'll admit I read it pretty quickly, so I'm curious. But I'm VERY happy that innocents and not just fighting bad guys who are after the sisters and/or The Twice Blessed Brat (wonder how many powers TTBB will get in the comic book, or if Wyatt will even *be* TTBB *crosses fingers* - anyone know from Leo Rising? ) will be part of the story again.

They didn't say exactly the Piper isn't summoning vines, they just said that they will play around with the sisters powers, but not give them something random. Not giving them fireballs was their example. CharmedFaith, you may be right about the vines playing a major part. I guess the vine attacked Piper because it was some sort of demon's power or a demon itself. EDIT:I should have just posted the actual quote in the first place, but here it is... PR: Absolutely. Issue #1 is filled with magic and imagery they never could have done on the series. The show established early on that the power of The Charmed Ones would grow as they got older. We haven’t forgotten that. They’re not suddenly going to be flinging fireballs for no reason, but not being contained by a budget will let us have some fun with that. At the same time, we’re not going to be coming up with stories just for the whiz bang factor. We’ll also tell more personal stories as these women live their complicated lives with magic.

I hope we never see them throw an energy ball no matter hwo power old/powerful they get. Grams never threw any and she was the HWIC (head witch in charge).

I know this was from a while ago, but it was something that I wanted to respond to at the time and didn't get around to, so I thought I'd answer it now before more time goes by. I did some research while getting this post ready and here's what I found. They did indeed do it for the first 3 seasons, there was Hannah Webster who was a warlock, and the one from "The Painted World". Lets not forget also when TCO's were warlocks. Then Kern had to screw everything up by adding fairytale creatures and the Wicked Witch. I don't know if they ever came out and called any of those evil female witches "warlocks", the way you have to talk about male witches and not just witches. It all comes back to them having needed a Show Bible SOOO badly and then stuck with it. But doing the fairy tales definitely made it necessary to mention "wicked witches" who were actually warlocks. The "unaired pilot" had the following quote: This was changed to say: So originally it stated it outright, but since that is not the official first episode, it is not canon. And like you I don't know of any place where it states it outright that female witches turned bad (or born that way) such as Hannah, Tuatha, and the Stillman sisters are warlocks. In the original there was no distinction between an evil witch and a warlock, but there does seem to be one in Charmed. Tuatha, for example, is specifically called an evil (or bad) witch. I'm looking through the episodes with Hannah Webster in them and I found this in "The Witch is Back": So Matthew, a warlock, considered Hannah a warlock. That is the closest I can find to someone calling an evil female a warlock. Is it close enough? Here's more from the examples that SEER of CHAOS mentioned. Jane from "The Painted World": andIt's never confirmed or denied by Malcolm or Jane that their assumption is correct, but their assumption must come from somewhere. And from "Bride and Gloom": andandThis is even less clear, but it seems to imply that they believe it possible to be both female and a warlock.

Does anyone know where you will be able to buy the Charmed comic once it comes out?

I think that's probably something you'll have to find on your own. I tried checking the local bookstore (one I know gets comics), but they have no idea if they'll get it, so I asked a friend at work who gets comics and he directed me to a comic book store in town. They will be getting it. I'm not sure how I might have found it other wise as it wasn't listed in the phone book under "comic". Good luck at finding some place. If you dan't know of a comic book store, try some local bookstores, maybe you'll have better luck than I did.

Info on issue2 plus a new cover.
Interesting that they are bringing up TCOs very 1st innocent saved. So far so good, they actually did their homework since Brittany is the 1st innocent we saw saved on the show. Good job writers!

Now, that non-wrap around cover looks more like our girls, especially Piper.
Thanks for the update, CharmedFaith.

On another site, someone found a new picture from the comics. I tried to find the article. It claims to be a new article, but it seems like an old one with more pictures. Here's the link to the article: www.aintitcool.com/node/44861And here is a link to the new picture: www.aintitcool.com/images2009/comics/column09/charmed4.JPGI think that's Paige in the middle of the room. And I think it's in magic school (oh, well. It was too much to hope they'd ignore that I suppose). Anyone else have an opinion on that?

Holy crap. You won't ever see monsters like that in the show. I can't wait.

Holy crap. You won't ever see monsters like that in the show. I can't wait. That's the fun of comic books; demons no longer have to just be men in dark clothes who can shimmer and throw fireballs. Can't wait to see what other demons they come up with!

I'm wondering who the other characters are - they could be Piper, Phoebe and the boys. Again, the boys look quite a bit older than Prudence Melinda; I wonder how old they're supposed to be. Unless those are supposed to be students... Some of the other articles made it clear that Magic School *would* still be part of this, much as so many of us would prefer they weren't. But I like the idea someone put out, that all of these demons might be due to the evil magicks that have been accumulating in the School; something like what happened in the Witch Doctor episode...

Personally, I think Paige is the only Halliwell in that latest picture. I could be wrong of course, but I do think she's the only one. I suppose there's a remote chance the guy in the robe is Leo, but based off how he looks . . . I kind of hope not.
I agree with the ages of Wyatt and Chris though. They look too old, way too old. If this is only 1.5 years later, then those boys should be 4 or 5 (Wyatt) and 3 (Chris).

If they want a bunch of the kids born (I don't, but it sounds like they do...), I'm going to guess that it's 5 years in the future, not just 1.5.
I'm guessing the guy in the robe is whoever's leading Magic School right now and I don't think that's Leo.
It's the women and the kids who I think might also be Halliwells, but I could be wrong, too.

Although I have no plans to read any of the "CHARMED" comics, I hope that it ends up being a lot better than what the "BUFFY" comics have become.
