I remembered one episode when Cole appeared on Piper. Saying he would like to help Phoebe find her true love again.
I really admire Cole's love for Phoebe, it was good. But then again, the truth hurts and no one can avoid the truth that he has an evil blood and he was Balthazar and he needs to be vanquished by the Charmed Ones. I love their love team. It was really fantastic.

Phoebe is like many woman in the world, she settled for Mr Safe - a guy she can depend on and know he will always be there her. She settled for second best!
Cole was her soul mate but he got away - she rebounded and found Jason, Leslie, Drake and Coop. All men she thought were the safe options and none satsfied her like Cole did. Even when she "hated Cole" she loved him.

I dont think she hated Cole. Its like you said Vengeance, Mr Safe is probably a better option than Mr. Dangerous. Cole gave her excitement, worry, danger, love, passion. Coop gave her a family. Thats all.

coop also gave her security, protection, and reassurance that she herself would not be consumed by evil (which is what she feared most about cole....that she would become evil herself.... it had happened before)
as well as that family she so desired.
and you dont know for sure cole and P were soulmates.
i mean, i LOVED phoebe and cole together, dont get me wrong, and i do wish somehow they did find eachother again
but at the same time i COMPLETELY understand why phoebe had to end it. and she would never be with cole forever.
thats not to say i dont have any problems with coop....mr rushed storyline of the decade.

Ok, but that is the typical "Mr Safe". Ok so maybe she did have to end it with Cole, but then we saw that he wasnt "evil" par say in the beginning of season 5, so we dont know what Phoebe was so worried about, I mean, she would know the symtoms right?

cole went from evil to good to evil to good to neutral to evil with good intentions to the spawn of all evil, you never knew what he was
phoebe had once before carried evil in her belly. do you blame her for not wanting it again?
and can you really blame her for wanting mr Safety-good-guy? i dont.
Phoebe never again wanted to be lured to evil.
i just find it funny that she was looking for love so hard and wanted it so much that she fell in love with love itself! a cupid!

I'm not saying she didn't want Mr Safe but the fact is - she settled for him. Cole was her soul mate, she said it herself even after she broke up with him.
Coop was there - so was Jason, Leslie, Drake and Dex.

I actually feel sorry for Coop knowing that he would obviously know that Phoebe truly loved Cole. It must hurt him as he would have studied everything about Phoebe's love life.

Was she really though? She seemed to think that everything was due to Cole, therefore she must have thought about him every now and then. I mean, she went through a lot with him, I dont think she was over him.

she must have been over him. coop is a cupid and knows EVERYTHING about her love life yet loves her still. do you think he would waste his time or put his full heart into it if he did not have her whole heart? i dont think so.

Maybe not, though it is possible to love two people at once. I really dont believe that Phoebe was over the love of her life, her soul mate. The one person she could have everything with.

see i guess that is where you an i differ! i dont think she could have had everything with cole. they were very star crossed, romeo and juliette type love story. they did love each other deeply, but it just was not meant to be!
i think phoebe learned to accept this fact, hence she was able to move on
i dont think coop would have settled for half her heart

Think of Phoebe as a widow who has just lost her husband, her soul mate the person she wanted to spend the rest of her life with - however he's dead. She doesn't want to live life alone, she doesn't die alone but she knows she can't share it with the person she really wants too cause he's gone.
Coop was there. That doesn't mean she doesn't love him but it's just not the same love that she had with Cole. She loved Cole from the moment she set eyes on him, with Coop it took her a while. As I've said numerous times - she settled.

We dont need to think of her as a widow, because she was one. Unless thats what you meant. This is completely contradictory, but I think she loved him on some level, however Cole would always be in the back of her mind, forever.

Could Phoebe and Cole have lasted? Sure. Why not? If Kern and his writers had wanted it that way.

Also, I don't think Coop was necessarily immune from turning evil....but he was less likely to be tempted by Evil than Cole was.

haha, well fair enough, but I think the vulnerability is something that Phoebe loved about Cole. I mean, she wouldnt have married him if not, right? Infact, well yeah she would have done because she loved him, but she must have been attracted to his possible evil side. Everyone likes a bad boy.

i agree, phobe LOVED the danger "bad - boy persona cole had (who wouldnt ) when she was younger and first met him. that was always phoebe's type, remember the ex from NY who wanted to steal the vase? as she got older and saw the seroiusness of what cole was, and how she then became evil too, she saw what a real danger she and her sisters were in. the bad boy makes a fantastic boyfriend, but mr reliable makes a fantastic husband do you get what i mean?
