Personally I don't think Leo was that vulgar, he loved Piper that was all. Originally their love story was my favorite part of the show, until I did a re-watch - truly, all he ever did was try to get Piper into bed and all she did was emasculate him. It was disgusting.

It as a key part of turning it into The Perils of Poor, Poor Pitiful Piper which I truly hope isn't part of the reboot.

^ I see your point when you say poor pitiful Piper. She was quite timid in the early seasons but then grew into herself. And she faced so many obstacles with Leo and that was hard for her and it was bound to impact on her personality.

Except it should've made her stronger - we should've been proud of her - like Prue when she lost Andy. All they did with Piper and all of her problems was try to make us feel sorry for her. I never did - I just rolled my eyes at her.
Same with Chris.
It's part of why I don't like the latter seasons - it's all about the girls getting weaker, more dependent on their men who were all wimps. No one was someone you could admire, the way I admired all three in the first two seasons. I admired Paige in Season Four, but not during the rest of the series. Once Season Four was over I didn't admire any of them, and those are protagonists I like, ones I can admire..

People react differently though don't they? Some people find it harder to cope with challenges, and Piper was one of those people. And besides, Piper had Prue had different personalities. In a way Piper came into her own during the latter seasons, when she embraced her new role as the eldest- that was when I admired her.

Except she didn't embrace her new role as the eldest at all. She simply felt sorry for herself. That's why I didn't admire her at all. Thanks to her, everything went downhill.

Hmm I think she just had a lot on her plate, she missed her sister - as did everyone else but she was the closest to her. What makes you think that she was the cause of everything going downhill?

Had the show ended when it should've - with the sisters giving up their powers in "Witch Way Now?", you'd be right. But she got over Prue's death in Season Five when she had Wyatt. She had no reason for reacting towards everything that happened in the rest of the series by feeling sorry for herself - that it was always all about her - which also dragged everyone else (and the show) down.
I've always felt the Angel of Destiny was most unfair to her - first, forcing her to have to go along with the other two's decision, giving her the perfect excuse to continue to feel sorry for herself, and then by not telling her that had she given up her powers, rather than having her daughter, she'd get the Twice-Blessed Brat, and rather than protecting innocents, her new destiny would be protecting said Brat, which is what put too much on her plate..

Maybe she wished she had given up her powers and taken the chance when it was offered to her. She'd had enough of it all and wanted a normal life so I can see how that would have dragged her down. And on top of that, all the drama with Leo. I'm not sure id say she'd definitely 'got over' Prue's death.. She became a mother and had that to deal with. I'm sure she still thought about Prue- and she was mentioned a few times. But the show had to move on. I like the idea of Charmed ending with that episode... The sisters deserving a life away from magic. It would have felt right.

There are four spots where I wish it had ended: At the end of "Apocolypse Now"; at the end of "All Hell Breaks Loose"; *THAT* ending of "Witch Way Now?" and when Phoebe says "Here it comes!" in "Something Wicca This Way Goes?"

Oh yes ending the show with All Hell Breaks Loose, what a shocker that would have been! If that had actually happened the reboot could have come now, and picked up where that left off.

I think more people would have been angry, and upset if it had ended at All Hell Breaks Loose. You realize how much hate mail Spelling and the others would have received for leaving us hanging like that. Not to mention, they're wanting to do a reboot now and it would have been 12 years. Everyone would have wondered what was going on, what would have happened. Ending the show there would have been one of the many mistakes, the worst personally, for the production company itself. I'm think of this as the company, not the show and its storylines. The company would have definitely received bad ratings/reviews for ending a show like that without giving it a proper closing. Life goes one, even when you lose a sister. That's why a show continues. If all of our lives stopped when we lost someone important to us, we'd all be dead.

If it ended like that, do you really think we would've had to wait for twelve years??
And had it ended there, just think of all the speculation there would've been...
Undoubtedly we would not have had to wait that long, and they would've had the time to do it better.
You probably feel the same way towards my having it end after Phoebe says, "Here we go!" in "Something Wicca That Way Goes", but all I have to remember is all of the talk after the way, oh, rats, can't think of the name since I never watched it - the one about the Mafia that started with an S and that was on HBO - oh, yes, as far as I'm concerned, you want people to keep talking about your show and not roll their eyes when you end it, that works a lot better than happily, sappily ever after.

If Charmed is rebooted with four sisters, based on who is writing the script, I can see the reboot being an incarnation of The Craft + Party of Five = Charmed 2.0. The first incarnation was sort of Charlie's Angels + Witchcraft + 7th Heaven = Charmed. With Christopher Keyser working on the pilot, I imagine him and his co-writer focusing on four orphaned sisters, where the youngest three are in their teens with the oldest sister, possibly in her early twenties, becoming their legal guardian (Much like Party of Five). They'll then happen to find out they are witches, with each sister having some personality/power connection with one of the four elements (much like The Craft). Since the Power of Three element would be gone, I think that would be the only aspect of the original series that the reboot series would adopt; sisters who happen to be witches. If they want to avoid writing themselves into a corner if an actress ever gets fired or leaves the show, they will probably avoid the necessity of a certain number of sisters needed for them to be Charmed. All four sisters would most likely just be Charmed because either all the witches in their family are Charmed compared to witches from other families, or because the Nexus they live on makes them Charmed, regardless how many sisters are alive. Then again, they might just make use of a Power of Four... these are just my ideas as to what they could be going for with the reboot based on the history of the writers for the pilot and Charmed itself. I thought it was the book of shadows that made the girls Charmed because you know the episode when the book is first taken from a demon Abraxus is his name I think I spelt it right Phoebe says something about "without the book we are not the Charmed ones anymore"? So I thought the combination of their sisterhood plus the book made them the Charmed ones??

Hey everyone! i'm new here. I can't believe I just discovered these boards.I've been a fan since the very first episode of Charmed. I personally hope they don't screw up the reboot series. Like some have said, I wouldn't want a TV show about Piper's kids at all. That'd be way too similar to Supernatural. It's been a very long time since we've had a very female empowered show that isn't like a Twilight story about a vulnerable whiny girl like Bella Swan or Elena Gilbert. As much as I like Vampire Diaries, I hate how weak Elena is. I miss shows like Charmed and Buffy where the girls aren't afraid to fend for themselves for a change instead of leaving everything up to the men (This is coming from me as a guy too LOL). I want to see girls kick some behind while maintaining normal lives.
I LOVE the idea of a reboot about all 4 sisters. I certainly hope they keep some aspects the same such as whitelighters, darklighters, and their powers. As for the Elders, I think they should keep them a mystery and have them be non-human. I was really disappointed when they revealed the Elders having human form. They always seemed like "God" or some kind of mystical energy during the earlier seasons. Brad Kern made the Elders way too weak afterwards and easily vanquishable. There's many things that can make the new reboot great if they learn and redo the inconsistencies of the old show. Charmed has one of the most inconsistencies out of many shows.. and I mean like hundreds of pages of inconsistencies. (shakes head).
One thing that hasn't been mentioned are the sound effects. This is pretty important. Would any of you miss hearing the original sounds of their powers? Piper's has always been so unique to me. Her freezing sound makes it so much more real than shows like Heroes where time just stops without any special sound. I will REALLY miss Prue's telekinesis the most. No movies or shows use that sound.Welcome to the forum Charmed is such a fantastic show and so I tend to become very over protective about Charmed in general that is why I am against the reboot cause if they mess it up they will take the "Charmed" name down and make it a joke. I will be so upset if they do that. This show is so amazing and beautiful. To me it is the most beautiful TV show ever made it has so much heart and soul in it. I love the way the actors perform in Charmed. This is a masterpiece and I will always be loyal to Charmed. If they mess it up I don't want the general public getting the original Charmed and the reboot (mess) mixed up. If that did happen I would be stating that I am a fan of the original Charmed not the reboot. [/b][/font]

Blackcurls I'm sure the Book does have a huge part to play in the sisters magical identities..After all, it was written by their ancestors and passed down to them. It's a powerful volume and if something happens to it they become vulnerable.

Well, it was *very* important until Season Six when Magic School popped up and suddenly that was more important. That always disappointed me - another reason to hate Season Six....

urgh S6 and Gideon -_- I guess Magic School was important because it played such an important role in teaching magic to the next generation of witches. But the Book still has it's place..

Magic School was what made me lose interest in the show. It became too Harry Potter-ish, along with the Elders being vanquishable like mortal beings. Totally went downhill and it was clear the writers were running out of ideas. There was never, ever a need of magic school in the whole ancestral line. Everything was taught through covens or at home. It's just hard to explain but the show lost its originality from there onward.

As an 8 year Charmed fan, I agree with the actresses... No! No! No! No! There is absolutely no reason for Charmed to even be considered for a reboot. It's still a popular show, it's high in the Netflix ratings, and frankly, Charmed is just not a show that needs to be rebooted. If anyone wants to do Charmed's future right, they need to either produce a movie with the original actors/actresses, deliver a really good spin off, or just leave the show alone and never consider this idea ever again. I honestly cannot see this reboot successful at all... like Assassin Witch said, I'd rather watch the original show on Netflix and TNT. Bad move, CBS Productions, bad, bad move.
