Charmed Without A Choice

"I've seen this place before." Wyatt said and started to look around, he knew he had been there, but when? He suddenly remembered. "This is the place Gideon brought me! It was here!" He said looking at Chris. "We're in the Underworld."

"Of course we are, where else do bad guys hid?" Chris answered. He then started to look around and his hand filled with light again.

"Whoa!" Wyatt said backing away. "What's that?"


Phoebe looked at Prue and rubbed her other shoulder.

"You had no idea, Prue." She said and looked at Piper and Leo, kneeled next to Jake. "It was not your fault. Just like it wasn't your fault that Andy died." She said, she remebered how Prue felt when Andy died.

"Smart Wyatt, for once" came a familar voice, Jake, or at least his shadow walked over, hands behind his back, an amused look on his face. "I am actually slightly suprised they summoned you, but not impressed" he stated as he stood still, arms by his side.


"Where is Gideon" demanded Melinda in a dangerous tone, a tone Piper held with whenever she was angry but Shadow Jake simply smiled and watched. "No hug sister? Then again, me being dead with a hole in my chest is not the most attractive thing to hug" he grinned.


Leola could feel the siblings anger and felt it control her as she held her hands out to two large boulders. "Boulders!" she cried and in a pink light they began to charge to Jake, but he simply orbed in black orbs and they passed and he reappeared in the same spot as the boulders crashed against the wall.


"Temper, temper Leola, what would your mother say if she saw her daughter being so violent, then again, you always were retarded, even without the damanged brain" he smirked wickedly.

Chris looked at Jake, he suddenly felt disgusted with the idea of that being his brother, and without knowing it he threw a lightball to Jake.

"What the hell?" Wyatt said and looked at Chris.

"Not the best time to ask for an explanation." Chris answered and threw another one. "Are you going to help me or not?" He said and threw 2, one coming out of each hand. Wyatt looked at Chris, and then at Melinda and Leola.

"Ready?" He said and orbed, he reappeared behind "Jake"

Shadow Jake went flying and skidded on the floor but forced himself back up but this time he was ready and held his own hands out and his dark lighting intercepted Chris's and a small explosion was caused as the two powers were canceled out.


Shadow Jake could feel the presence of Wyatt behind him and he dissapered in black orbs and reppeared behind Wyatt and he suddenly split into four Shadow Jakes like before and all four circled Wyatt.


Leona looked at Melinda and the two nodded and Leola ran forward with Melinda and the two suddenly jumped in the air and did a sommasault in the air and they landed on their hands in the middle of the four Jakes and both kicked their legs outwards and both of them sent all four Jakes into the wall.

Chris then ran towards them and kicked the Jake that was near him. Wyatt got up, he had fallen to the ground the moment Jake was divided in 4. He moved his hand and the Jake in front of him was thrown unto the wall in the other side.

"Relax! We don't want to lose his soul!" Chris yelled at him. Chris was about to kick the other Jake that was next to him, but suddenly he started to levitate surrounded by orbs.

"Chris this is not a good time for you to show off." Wyatt yelled and kicked another Jake.

"I am not!" Chris said and suddenly fell to the ground.

The four Jakes slowly rose to their feet as they saw Chris and all four held their hands out as darkness shot from their hand and two wrapped around his arms, the other, his legs and the as they flicked their wrists, the darkness tossed Chris into the wall like he was a ragged doll.


"Idoits, you can't kill me, I am a shadow of Jake" stated one of the Shadow Jakes with a grin.


"Chris!" yelled Leola and held out her hand and seconds before he hit the wall, he would dissaper in a pink light and reapper on the floor. It seemed Leola's powers were expanding.


"Thats it...he is just a shadow, he doesn't have Jake's soul, fire to kill!" yelled Melinda to Wyatt.

Wyatt looked at the shadows and smiled he then looked at Chris.

"Ready?" He asked.

"As I'll ever be." Chris answered and smiled back at Wyatt. It was not Jake, it was not Gideon, it was just a shadow. So that meant Gideon was somewhere around them, waiting to attack. He then handed both hands so his sister and Wyatt could hold them. He had an idea, light was a power. So, maybe of they held hands they could all have a little bit of it and that way get rid of the shadows.

All for Jake's grins dissapered as they saw Leola and Melinda holding hands and Melinda stared at the four Shadw Jakes. "Like a bad dream you will fade away" she stated and smiled at Leola. "I think you deserve to say it" she stated, after all, Phoebe had been the one to use it out of all the sisters.

Leola looked at the four Jakes and spoke the rhyme.


"We are light
"We are ones to strong to fight
Go back to dark, where shadows dwell
You may not have these Halliwells
Go away and leave our sight
And take with you this endless night"


As she spoke the rhyme, a bright light would fill the four as the shadow Jakes would yell out in pain and close their eyes and they would wither away in black light and dissaper.

Chris and Wyatt chanted with Leola as the shadows disappeared. Chris then looked around waiting for Gideon to appear. He knew he was here, he felt it. Wyatt apparently felt it to because he walked a few steps further than were they were.

"He is here." He said and looked at a dark hola that was on the side of the wall. " I know you are here Gideon! Don't be a coward and show yourself!" He yelled, he had been waiting this moment for as long as he could remember. He wanted to get even with Gideon, no matter what. He heard what he tried to did to him, but now Jake? It was enough!

Slowly, a white mist filled the cave like area of the Underworld and Gideon appeared with a a slightly transparent, pale Jake, chained on the ground, he had no pupils and he looked like he was dead, but his eyes would slowly close and open every few seconds, it was Jake's dying soul.


"Well I can hardly say I am suprised that you came, after all, Jake's soul remaining was not in my plan, yet I can still use him" stated the ex-Elder.


"You son of a bitch, give our brother back now" yelled Melinda and Gideon raised his hand. "Spare me, because without me, there is no way to return Jake's soul back to his body, so save the threats."

Chris looked at Gideon, he suddenly felt anger inside him. He hated that man, more than he hated the most hideous demon in the world.

"Who the hell do you think you are?" Chris yelled. "The big former elder that is going to balance things again? Tell me because I don't get how someone that once believed in the greater good now is such an evil person, ha? Yes, you Gideon you are an idiot, and hurting inocent boys. You couldn't have fallen lower." He said. "Now, you are going to put my brother's soul back to his body and then disappear forever!" He yelled.

"I suggest you don't raise your voice Christopher and I was an elder who wanted to keep the balance but it seems the side of good does not understand this, so I do what I need to by my own choices and Jake's power was too dangerous to let develop, darkness is evil and so is it's user."


"Really? That's funny because you were an Elder, a believer in the light yet you are more evil then most demons" stated Melinda and Gideon just watched her. "You will save my brother or the only thing you will be doing is being repeatedly beaten by us, then healed and then beaten again and again until you co-operate."

Chris looked at Gideon and then at Jake's dying soul. He then looked at Wyatt, who nodded.

"What can't you get?" Wyatt then said. "We are not evil and Jake isn't, darkness is not a power that takes control of the owner. I once heard that it's a witch that controls the powers, not the powers that control the witch." Wyatt finally said, he sounded calm, but Chris knew that inside him he wanted to yell at Gideon and kill him. But if he did, there might not be a way to get Jake's soul back. Wyatt, had a belief, that people could understand themselves talking, but Chris knew that with Gideon it was not going to work.

"This would be coming from the person who is more evil then any demon, the one willing to kill Chris to save his own neck, I do believe you out of all people should know that you children are bound for evil" he stated and he raised his hand and three athames hovered, ready to be flung at each one, but suddenly, Gideon eyes widened and his body shook.

"I-Impossible.."

Suddenly, Jake's soul had dissapered and was glowing a bright gold as his spirit stood in front of Gideon, arms out in front. "No...you won't use me for this!" he yelled and Melinda's eyes widened.


"Jake!" she yelled out and Jake looked up, his arms trembling as he used what power he had left to stop Gideon moving. "You gotta run! I can't hold him off forever!"

Chris looked at Melinda and Leola, he was not going to let Jake there. He had to get his souls back, he had to save him, for what it seemed Wyatt was thinking the same because he turned to look at Melinda and Leola and yelled.

"Go back to Magic School we can handle it from here!" He yelled and moved his hand towards Leola and Melinda. "Magic School" He stated and both girls disappeared in orbs. Chris looked at him. "What?" Wyatt said. "You want them to be safe, right?" He then turned to look at Chris and mouthed "What do we do now?"

Jake spirit's glow weakened and he winced as his control began to fade and Gideon's eyes flared in anger at his inability to move due to Jake's fighting spirit. "Meddling witch, stay dead!" he cried out and Jake's sprit flickered and became slightly transparent, but he kept holding on, clearly in pain as he tried to hold Gideon back.


"You have to kill Gideon! There is no other way! If you kill him, then maybe his hold on me will break, but you have to do it even if it doesn't!" he yelled out. Jake knew that it was the only way, he could feel his spirit slipping away and if Gideon got his powers, then Wyatt and Chris would be in danger, he had to do this, even if it put his life at risk.


Melinda and Leola orbed back to Magic School and both blinked in confusion. "Oh I am SO going to kick their asses!" declared Leola as she glared and Prue looked up at them. "What happened?" she asked. "They sent us back, they didn't want us to get hurt, I swear to god, boys are impossible!" declared Leola and she threw her hands up dramatically.

Piper and Phoebe looked at Leola and Melinda orbing in. Phoebe heard the whole explanation, Piper's mind was thinking of Jake. "Well, you do have to understand that they want you to be safe?" Phoebe said and Leo turned to look, that sounded as something Piper would say, he then looked at his wife. "Honey, I am sure they will be able to handle it" He said and hugged Piper.

Wyatt and Chris heard Jake and looked at each other. Chris looked at Gideon and then at Jake. Wyatt kept looking around in order to think of something. Suddenly he moved his hand, to try to send Gideon flying across the air.

"Leo's right, we have to trust Chris and Wyatt" said Prue softly and Leola threw her hands up in the air. "They are men! You can't trust them with anything!" she declared and Prue could not help but hide a small smile as Melinda nodded in agreement with Leola, clearly both had a thing for distrusting men.


Gideon was sent flying through the air and crashed into the wall, the athame he had used tumbing to the floor and Jake's fading spirit stared at the athame. "Quick! Use it on Gideon!" he cried, knowing if they did not hurry then he would be doomed to fade away.

Chris got the athame into his hand, and threw it at Gideon. Wyatt looked at the whole scene, he then looked at Jake. "just hang on little buddy" He said and looked at the athame flying towards Gideon.

Piper was holding unto Leo and looking at Jake's body there, she then looked at everyone in the room. She then threw herslef back into Leo's arms. Phoebe went to comfort Piper. "Everything's gonna be alright, I promess" She said and kissed Piper's head.

Gideon eyes widened and he cried out and held his hand out to stop the weapon, but he was too late and the blade sunk into his chest, his eyes widening. "No...I must....complete my mission..." he said weakly and his eyes darkened as he looked at Chris and Wyatt. "This is not over..." he threatened and his body exploded into black dust, leaving nothing but athame.

Jake's spirit turned to Chris and Wyatt, trying to call to them, but no voice could be heard as his spirit finally dissapered.

Prue and Paige were hugging Piper as well when Jake's body suddenly went from pale to the normal pink colour, his eyes opening as he gasped for breath, coughing up blood from the wound he still had and Prue's eyes widened and she was instantly over Jake, healing his wound. They had him back.
