Charmed Without A Choice

Phoebe looked at both girls in shock.

"Great!" Piper said. "More trouble!" She said and shook her hands. "If my future self don't lecture you, I will." She finally said. Chris looked at her.

"Mom, don't you think you're being to harsh on them?" He said.

"No, I'm not. We've got issues to take care of" She paused and looked at Jake. "And know we have to worry about future family members that don't even exist yet! What could possibly go..."

"Don't say that!" Phoebe said.

"Why?" Piper asked.

"Whenever somebody says that things, just get worse." Phoebe said.

"Ah!" Piper said and sat down. Phoebe looked at Prue and Paige.

"Whose kids do you think they are?" She whispered to them.

Victor spun around when he saw the two girls dusting themselves off and standing up.


"No, no, no! You can't be here! Mom and dad are already going to kill me, now they are gonna kill me even more!" stated the young one and the girl who looked similar to Phoebe looked at everyone, eyes wide. She could not be any older then seventeen, she had her hair in the style Phoebe had when she had found out she was a witch, wearing a sleevless, white top with black, tight jeans and yellow and blue, checkered, slip on shoes with a white and black striped arm band on her left hand with holes for her fingers and thumb.

"Oh...okay...this...is..." she said slowly before looking at Victor.


"Wait, how did we get here!?"

The second girl who looked a little older stared at the Halliwells before looking at the other girl. This one wore a white hoodie that was opened up with a bright, blue top underneath and faded blue jeans on her legs with rugged trainers, both girls looked a little muddy and dirty.

"What the hell happenened, how did we get here, we were walking back from practice and now we are enveloped in this blue light!" stated the blue eyed girl.


"So hang on, do you guys know each other?" asked Paige looking from the girls to Victor.


"Well...I know them, but they don't know me, see, I'm there...well" trailed off Victor and looked at the girls and then at Halliwells.

"Maybe we should talk downstairs" started Victor but the Phoebe look alike glared and folded her arms.


"Oh no mister, you are gonna tell us what's going on right now or-" she started but the second girl placed her hand over her mouth.


"Leola, calm down" stated the girl and she looked at the Halliwells, her eyes slightly wide as she looked from sister to sister to Leo and Chris and Jake, it was them...but...it couldn't be.


"Melinda, what are you trying to..." started Leola but trailed off as she finally looked at the Halliwells in shock.


Paige's eyes widened...Melinda...that was Piper's daughters name, or the daughter she was meant to have, could she still exist in this timeline...which would mean that this was Piper's daughter and Leola...she looked like Phoebe.


"Oh god..." whispered Prue as she seemed to be thinking on the same lines as Paige.

Piper jumped the moment she heard the name Melinda.

"Your name is Melinda?" Piper said, starting to freak out. She then turned to Chris. "Chris, do you know this 2 girls?" She asked, but Chris didn't answer, he just looked at the roof. Phoebe looked at the girl named Leola. Then she looked at Prue.

"She isn't my daughter by any chance, right?" She asked and Leo looked at her.

"Phoebe, this is not the right time to ask that. Don't you think?" He said. He turned to look at Chris like Piper did a minute earlier. "You did not answer you mother's question." Once again there was no answer heard from him.

Leola's mouth was open wide and she looked at Melinda and then Piper. "Holy hell Mel, Dad was right, you could be twins" she stated with a grin but she finally caught eye of Phoebe and her eyes widened and a wide smile ran over her face and she skidded over to her and embarced her in a hug. "Mommy! I missed you, so, so much!" she said cheerfully and Melinda ran a hand through her hair and pointed at Jake and Chris.


"You two have some explaining to do!" she yelled, not realizing that Jake knew nothing of him being part of the family so he just blinked in suprise.


Paige and Prue looked each other, god this was confusing and it was starting to upset baby Wyatt who began to cry softly, lips pouting out. Leola blinked and slowly let go of her future mother and slowly turned to Wyatt and placed her hands in his small ones.

"Wyatt honey, I need you to calm down for your cousin, okay?" she asked and suddenly a pink light filled Wyatt and he instantly stopped crying and remained silent.


"What did you just do?" demanded Prue defensivley.


"Used her power, Invasive empathy" stated Melinda as she did a very Piper thing to do, running her hand through her hair to try and calm down.


"Invasive empathy, how exactly does that work?" frowned a clueless Paige.


"It basically works like normal emphathy but with an added twist, I can not only turn emotions to power, but change people's emotions, but it's kind of a wonky power and it doesn't work so great on upper level demons, but it does make me one kick ass babysitter" grinned Leola.


"Uh, hello? Did nobody tell you about personal gain?" asked Prue.


"Please Aunt Prue, we're teenagers, we live for personal gain!" grinned a cheerful Leola.


Victor ran his hands through his hair, remembering just how much of a handful his aunts could be.

Chris looked at Melinda.

"Mel, not right now." He said pointing very discrete at Jake and mouthed. "Future Jake." He mouthed and suddenly Piper stumbled a little.

"I am not feeling to well." She said and passed out.

"OMG! Mom." Chris yelled and ran towards her. "Mom, are you alright?" He said. Leo and Phoebe ran towards Piper as well.

"Piper! Piper!" Phoebe said moving her sister's arm.

"Don't move her!" Chris said. "If she's injured she could get worse." He said and looked at Leo. "Are you going to heal her or does Aunt Prue has to?" He said. Leo started to heal. A moment later Piper was awake, weak but awake.

"What happened?" She asked, she then looked at Melinda and Jake and felt a punch inside her belly.

Melinda opened her mouth to argue but froze when she saw Piper and was instantly on the floor next to her father, watching in fear as he looked at her mother and her eyes widened and looked at Paige.


"What date is it?" she demanded quickly and Paige just gave a confused look as she was already worrying over Piper and Melinda suddenly ran over to the side table and looked at the newspaper and Leola ran over and looked at it and her eyes widened.


It's October.....which means...." she trailed off and Melinda looks up.


"Me and my....my brother are inside of her.....my twin" she said slowly trying not to look at Jake and Prue eyes would widened, Jake and Melinda, they were twins?

Phoebe's eyes widened.

"What?" She yelled. "How did we not know about this?" She asked looking at her sister. Piper looked at them.

"What's wrong?" She asked. She had been more concerned of the punch in her belly than noticing what Melinda said. Leo helped Piper sit down again and then turned to Phoebe.

"What's wrong?" He asked, noticing her amazed look.

"Melinda is Jake's twin." She whispered to Leo. Leo looked at Jake and then at Melinda. His face turned pale.

"But that means that..." He started the sentence.

"Means what?" Phoebe asked.

"That we might need Melinda to help us protect Jake, because they have a very strong connection. They have a twin conection." He said very firmly.

"Well by the looks of it neither did Piper" said Paige slowly and Leola smiled and clapped her hands together excitedly. "I can't wait to see baby Jake and Melly!" she squeeled happily, she was definetly Phoebe's child.

"Calm down Super Nanny, we have to find a way home, besides, it's family night and you do not want a lecture from Wyatt about the importance of families especially since we are withces." stated Melinda and Leola's smile fell and she groaned.


"Uh, don't remind me, if I hear his lectures, I think I may just throw the Book of Shadows at his big, blonde head" stated a frustrated Leola. Jake stared at Leola and felt a tinge of amusement at her words, but Paige and Prue looked rather shocked by the words, clearly the image of Leola hurling the Book of Shadows at Wyatt was an odd one to them.


"Okay, so then, now that we have finished disccusing ways to hurt my oldest nephew, what do we do now?" asked Prue.

Phoebe looked at Leo and then at Prue.

"Prue, Paige, can I have a word with you in the hall?" She asked. "It is important." She said and went out to the hall.

Chris looked at his sister and cousin. He was next to his mom. Piper looked at him.

"One question." She said and Chris looked at her. "Melinda is..?" She said moving her hands and making Chris know that he could finish the sentence.

"My sister, Jake's twin." He said. Piper looked at Jake and Melinda.

"But that can't be." She said and stayed quiet for a while. "Melinda come here." She said to her daughter, she looked at her and then threw her arms around her. She never thought that the daughter she once saw, was really going to be born.

Paige and Prue slowly looked at each other but slowly rose to their feet and walked out of the room towards Phoebe, wondering what could be so important.


Melinda turned from Leola towards Piper and slowly walked over but was caught off guard by the hug but slowly returned it and patted her back gently. "Hey, its okay Mom" she said softly, unsure what was wrong but she would not pry.


Victor and Jake watched from afar, Jake feeling rather out of place as well as Victor, both wishing they could be anywhere but here.

Phoebe looked at Prue and Paige. She took a deep breath and started talking.

"I am sure that Melinda being Jake's twin caught us all out of guard, but I just talked to Leo. And for what he said, we need to keep Melinda here." She said waiting for her sisters reply.

Piper let go of her daughter and smiled. She saw little Wyatt coming towards them. He clinged on Melinda's leg.

"Up." He said, and Melinda held him. Piper smiled once again and then looked at Jake and Victor. Chris turned to look and was about to stand up, when Piper stopped him.

"Let me." She said and went towards Jake and Victor. "Hey." She said and sat down next to Jake.

Prue frowned and Paige looked at Prue and both then looked at Phoebe. "Wait, firstly why do we and secondly how are we going to explain it to them?" asked Prue and Paige nodded. "We can't exactly tell them the entire truth."

Melinda blinked and looked down at her older brother's baby form and smiled softly and picked him up. "You are gonna be such a handful later on" she smiled slowly and stroked his head and Leola grinned and watched the two and slowly looked at Jake, Victor and Piper and then turned to Chris and hopped over to him and sat down.


"You are being more quiet then usual, penny for your neurotic thoughts?"


"Yeha, just in awe about...well...everything, does this stuff usually happen?"

Phoebe looked at her sisters.

"Melinda and Jake a special kind of connection, they are twins. In some level what happens to Jake, Melinda can feel it and all the way around. So, maybe she'll be able to help us. But as you don't think it is necessary, then we don't have to." She said and looked at her feet.

Chris looked at his cousin.

"Hey." He said. He then looked at his little self that was near Jake and Piper. Piper looked at Jake and Victor.

"I have an idea, why don't you two come downstairs and help me make some potions that might help you to get to your time." She said to both of the boys, that looked really bored and out of place.

"Actually, that's not a bad idea, Melinda could be the key to helping Jake, only problem is, how do we get her to stay behind?" asked Prue and Paige nodded. "That is the million dollar question."

"You sure you don't want to talk about anything Chris? You sure seemed bummed" stated Leola. Victor and Jake looked at each other and then back at Piper but before either could answer, a shimmer appeared and two demons appeared in the attic.


"Demon!" yelled Leola and the demon fired an energy ball at Piper, but Victor grabbed her and spun her around so he got hit instead and went into the couch.


Paige and Prue, hearing the sound, looked at Phoebe before running inside, only to see Victor crashing into the couch.


"Watch out!" yelled Prue to Leola as the demon threw a fire ball at her, but she held out her hand and called out. "Fire ball!" she yelled and in a warm, pink glow, the ball changed direction and vanquished the demon.



"What the..." trailed off Paige in schock at the display of Leola's power, it was like Paige's power only...well, pink.


Melinda placed Wyatt down and looked at the second demon and the demon threw an energy ball but Melinda held out her hand and her hand glowed blue and the power was deflected right back at the demon, instanlly vanquishing him.


"Woah..." was all Prue could say, not bad for teenagers.

Piper watched amazed of what her daughter, niece and grandson just did. Phoebe was amazed as well.

"Woah!" She said and looked at her daughter. "How can you do that?" She said. Chris looked at everyone.

"This is not time to ask how she got that power. We have to find a way to send them back to their time." He said and Phoebe looked at him. 'What now, Aunt Phoebe?" He said.

"Well before you send them back, I need to talk to Melinda, me and Leo." She said and looked at Leo.

"OK, but do it fast." He said and sat down again. Leo followed Phoebe out to the hall and then downstairs. Phoebe had a feeling of how to get Melinda to stay, she was just hoping it'd work.

Melinda looked between Chris and Phoebe and looked back at Leola. "I'll be back in a second" she promised and Leola nodded slowly. "Alright, but you better hurry up and we might just make it before the main course."


Jake helped Victor up whose shirt was ripped and he was bleeding and Jake looked at Prue. "Prue could you-" he started but suddenly, Victor's chest glowed a bright gold and the cut dissapered.


"Self-healing, works against most demon attacks, comes in handy" smiled Victor slowly and Paige and Prue looked in shock, now there was a power they wouldn't mind having.


Melinda followed Leo and Phoebe down the stairs silently, wondering what they wanted.

Phoebe looked at her. Leo whispered to her.

"What are you doing?"

"Just follow my lead." She whispered back and then turned to look at Melinda. "Melinda, honey. You love your brother Jake, right? I mean, he is your twin." She stopped for a moment. "What I am trying to say here is that, what if your brother was in big big danger and you are one of the only people that can save him, what if he really needs your help?" She said and looked at Melinda. Leo understood what she was trying to do.

"Honey, Jake is in big trouble right now. We need you to help us protect him, you're his twin sister. You have a connection with him. We ned you." Leo said and looked at his daughter. "What do you say?"

Melinda stared at Leo and Phoebe back and forth, not saying a word as she listened and she lowered her gaze and opened her mouth but closed it and looked at the sky and then back at the two of them and paused silently and finally spoke out.


"Well...if you want me to stay, then you are going to have to keep Leola here, because there is no way that I am letting her go on her own, I know that does not make any sense, but I can't leave Leola and I can't tell you why...please, just trust me when I say that she needs me, so I will stay, if she can stay."


"Aunt Piper, you can lay down if you want, I've got this potion covered" stated Leola who was busy mixing ingrediants in the attic to send them back to their time, at least Victor anyway, she was clearly getting everything right as she casually tossed in the ingrediants. "You taught me everything I know and believe me, you are not an easy teacher to please" she smiled brightly.

"Sweetheart, we are not going to make you stay if you don't want to. If you want to go back, we get it, we can handle the Jake issue all alone." Phoebe said and smiled at her niece. "I'll go and write a spell to send you back." Phoebe said, disappointment sounded clearly in her voice. "You and Leola will be back to your dinner." She said and started to go upstairs.

Piper looked at Leola and then at Chris.

"Is she good, making potions?" She asked.

"You taught her mom, how is she not going to be good?" Chris answered to Piper.

Melinda's eyes were lowered and she looked away for a few seconds before she slowly walked up the stairs, thinking over everything before she followed Phoebe and Leo up the stairs.


"And with a pinch of root beer and-" she stated and flung the last ingediant and the potion puffed with smoke and she beamed. "And that ladies and gentlemen is our time travel potion" she stated and began to pour out the liquid into a container, she stared at the potion. "This should get us home" she stated.


"But wait, what about Victor? He needs to go to a different time" stated Paige and Leola opened her mouth slightly but Melinda cut her off.


"It doesn't matter, me and Leola won't be going instantly, we have some things to take care of here" said Melinda slowly and Prue blinked, looks like Phoebe did get through to her.


"But what about the dinner, Aunt Piper is gonna blow a fuse" stated Leola and Melinda smiled slightly. "I think saving our family is worth getting a lecture from mom."
