I just remembered, in Forget Me Not, Phoebe also levitates a guy and drops him to the ground. Lucky he didn't break a few bones there. So that's three assaults on mortals by the sisters in one episode. Wow, the Charmed Ones, a force for good.

Remember that this is the same season where Phoebe and Paige willingly murder a man when they could've easily dealt with him without killing him. These were the kind of people the Charmed Ones had become by then.

And nothing was done about it even afterwards.
There are rules for a reason like 'Harm Ye None' which people should follow and people who should enforce that like the Tribunal otherwise what's the point really.

And of course, by this point, they used magic for personal gain whenever they jolly well pleased, with no consequences.
Kern just threw the rule book away, didn't he.

That's true. It's more annoying because they could have easily fixed the inconsistency in "Crime and Witch-demeanors" when Barbas questions the Cleaner. He says: Barbas- "You have been assigned to watch The Charmed Ones since they first became witches, have you not?" Cleaner- "That is correct." And everyone watching goes "WHAAAAAAAT?!?!" All they needed to do was say something like: Barbas- "When were you assigned to the Charmed Ones?" Cleaner- "About three years a go. The witches were trusted to take care of their own messes up until exposure led to the death of Prue Halliwell. That is when we were assigned, to make sure nothing as bad happened again."They even mention Prue's death in the damn episode But as you say, they were forgotten about after anyway. Herre's something most fans haven't considered. Right after Prue survived, she and Piper run out in the street, outside in the public, run into Shax and try to vanquish him, exposing magic. Perhaps the Cleaners were behind Prue's death just as much as Shax - perhaps making sure that Prue and Piper forgot that they could use their powers on Shax the way they used them on him out in the street, which is truly what caused Prue's death. It's why "All Hell Breaks Loose" will never be one of my top 50 episodes - I hate Prue acting so darn stupid in her last episode. Nothing says the Cleaners are supposed to be nice or just or ethical - just there to be sure that magic isn't exposed. Billie's another story. Why wasn't she erased when she turned into Wonder Woman and exposed magic worse than Prue ever did, I'll never know.

Perhaps the Cleaners were behind Prue's death just as much as Shax - perhaps making sure that Prue and Piper forgot that they could use her powers on Shax, which is truly what caused Prue's death. Oooh that's an interesting theory. The Cleaners would probably be more realistic if they could work in more subtle ways like that. ----- A couple more episode... My Three WitchesSo we start with Phoebe hosting a chat show. I’m not sure whether it’s more horrendous or unintentionally hilarious watching her speak to the author. “Well I haven’t read it, but I love the title!” Seriously... pahahahaha... I just... I can’t even... *snort*. Oh God, I forgot they put poor Kathryn Joosten into that magician’s assistant costume. Piper: “I will have a normal life if it kills me!” Here we go. Excuse me while I go scream into a pillow. The Ego-Tron robot masquerading as Phoebe’s boyfriend is on top form. Lots of Phoebe behind kissing in this episode. So Piper does not want Leo to heal her sick son, because “normal life”, but she wants him to orb him away right away so she can party. Ya know orbing is magic Piper, right? Piper: “You will always find a way to make your job more important than your family!”Yeah Leo, how dare you alert Piper to a potential serial killer in her home when she has a party to throw? Think of your family you bastard! Fun to see Paige kicking butt. Half pacifist my arse. Stuff it Leo. Why would Phoebe channelling Jason be an issue when Chris gave the demon their desires on paper? You had one job dude! The stripper scene is strange and random. It's like the WB sent a memo: "Hey, with all the boobs and skimpy outfits you've had recently, we're gonna need you to throw in a few male strippers, just to balance the scales of equality a little. Just one episode will do. Thanks!" Soul SurvivorSo Paige loses her innocent and Piper immediately decides with very little info that he A) Probably wasn’t “meant” to be saved by her and B) He was probably bad since he knew something was going to happen. Why would you assume that? He could have been a witch or psychic, you’ve never met this guy Piper! So shut up. Remember the end of Astral Monkey? What happened to that woman? Urgh, I forgot about Leo and Chris’ time ripple subplot. Leo pushes them both into it. Smart move, Elder Dip-Sh*t! Phoebe transforming Spencer Ricks without consequences. Because malicious magic is totally okay now. Wyatt displays his magic to all of Piper’s mortal dates. Yet another irresponsible use of magic that Piper will do absolutely nothing about. You just had him taken from you for exposing magic Piper! Piper: “Save him? He’s dead!”Piper, I’d like you to watch an episode called “Dead Man Dating”. It’s about a really nice young witch who wants to save a murdered man’s soul. You’ll see why this statement makes me so sad. Piper: “We need to remind her that we have a shared destiny to worry about”Erm, no Piper. I really don’t think Paige is the one who needs reminding of that. Phoebe: “It’s affecting all of us now, not just you!”Excuse me Phoebe? How has it affected you? Surely you’ve been too busy using evil magic on people you don’t like to be bothered by any of this. Oh wow, the CGI dinosaur is... wow. Although the thought of killing Leo off by being eaten by a bad CGI dinosaur is rather amusing. Heh. So Piper and Phoebe are actually happy to sentence all those souls to burn for all eternity, because Zahn “could” get more powerful? Not even going to try and save them? Pfft. Wow... just screw you both. And in the end, Piper is still mad at Paige and doesn’t see the point of what she did. So she’s learned absolutely nothing. To think she used to be my favourite character.

*sigh* You keep reminding me why I hate the Charmed Ones in S6 so very much!
As you said in other words, as my signature says in other words, if someone watched the first season of Charmed, then jumped forward to Season Six, the only way they'd recognize Piper, Phoebe and Leo is by the names. To me, although Holly and Alyssa are still beautiful (although Alyssa not as beautiful as she was in S1, and I prefer Holly in Season 2), Piper and Phoebe are hideous.
And people wonder why I count S4-8 as an alternate-universe spin-off, "The Perils of Poor, Poor, Pitiful Piper" aka "PhoeME and Her Fantasy Men" aka "Two Witches Plus One Living Whitelighter Equals the Power of Three?"

Yeah my intention was to go through the whole season aside from the premiere. I'd forgotten how obnoxious they were this season. I'll see if I can stomach it.

Oh, I hope you can, because I'm enjoying it almost as much as I enjoyed Obscure Lupa's reviews (I hope I spelled that right...) If you haven't watched those, I'll bet you'd enjoy them as much as most fans do. But if you can't, I totally understand. When I was doing a rewatch, I had to stop after "Sleuthing with the Enemy" because I couldn't stomach any more. It's why when I'm watching my DVDs, I skip both "Apocalypse , Not" and "Be Careful What You Witch For", watch Season Three until "All Halliwell's Eve", then go back and let "Apocalypse Not" be my series finale so it ends with me still loving all three sisters and Leo, and the show never jumping the shark.

No I understand what you mean Es and agree with you in certain ways about the sisters definately in terms of behaviour and what not. Sometimes I wished S4-8 were alternate universes also or just that the sisters had a back case of the noggings which changed their personalities and could somehow be changed back futurewise to.

Sword and the City Holly’s favourite episode.
I’d forgotten how random Richard’s powers were.
I feel bad for the guy in the first scene. The only way Phoebe and Piper could have been less subtle is if they shouted “stranger danger” and started beating him with frying pans!
Phoebe judging his use of magic. Do I need to remind you what you were doing last episode Phoebe?
Piper doesn’t believe in Excalibur... as if this is weird by their standards. Piper, we’re in season 6, just go with it!
More awkwardness with Richard. Wow Phoebe is rude! Paige, orb another apple into her mouth, I love it when you do that!
Now Phoebe is staring at them while they hug. This obsession she has with Paige’s love life this season is actually kinda creepy. Does Paige need to start carrying mace when she’s around this invasive weirdo?
Oh boy, we have stoopid magical creatures. Have not missed you guys.
Leo took Chris off the sisters’ account. Huh? Weren’t they on good terms?
Phoebe did a column about Paige’s situation? Really professional Pheebs.
Phoebe (to Paige): “I’m concerned you’re falling too fast for a guy you barely know.” Oh man, is that rich? Coming from Phoebe, the queen of the short lived whirlwind romance and office desk coitus!
Phoebe can’t read Mordaunt with her Empathy, because that’d be useful and we can’t have that.
Mordaunt (to Piper): I’m gonna come in low. Holly’s facial reaction to that line always gets me. Heh.
I know Mordaunt just wanted to kill them, but even so, the knights of the round table they picked are lame.
Oh Leo can suddenly feel his charges’ physical pain again.
Congratulations Piper; your baby can’t speak or walk, but he’s sure building up his kill count this season. Baby’s first impaling. Can’t imagine what went wrong in Chris’ future.
Paige looks great at the end of this episode. Rose really does rock a dark dress.
Piper: Well, we've seen what he can do without the sword, I can't begin to imagine what he could do with it. Leo: Well, whatever it is, it's meant to be.
I’m starting to pick up on how often they use this “meant to be” line as an excuse to not bother about anything important.

Dude, this is the later seasons Charmed Ones. You know: "We lost another Innocent. Meh, who cares? When's dinner ready, I'm hungry." By then, Innocents had the life expectancy of the poor unknown schmuck in the red shirt who had the misfortune accompanying Kirk, Spock, and McCoy down to the Planet Of The Week. Of course, Kirk cared when said schmuck bought the farm. The later season Charmed Sons didn't give a damn.
I recognized that location, Vasquez Rocks. That's where Captain Kirk fought the Gorn
Phoebe can’t read Mordaunt with her Empathy, because that’d be useful and we can’t have that.
As I said, a second rate Deanna Troi. And I remember a few times when Troi would always have the very helpful "Captain, he's hiding something." No sh!t, Sherlock
Got a Star Trek theme in this one
And just WHY that most characters that had a British accent evil? Hey, Kern, it's been more than two centuries since the Revolution. Get over it!

The only fact that made "Sword and the City" good was the actor who played Mordaunt, Edward Atterton, also played King Arthur in "The Mists of Avalon". You shouldn't forget that little fact! I always found it interesting. And yes, Wyatt had already way too many powers and Excalibur added to it, no thank you. That's why I mainly intend to give Chris in my stories, so that the powers are balanced out in a way.

The Excalibur stuff was just stupid. Wasn't Wyatt already enough of a Gary Stu being Twice-Blessed and all? Did we REALLY need to make him King Arthur on top of all of that? Just another way how the show became further and further removed from reality in the later seasons.

Just another way how the show became further and further removed from reality in the later seasons. That's definately true about Wyatt there. If the writers kept that episode idea and did not do another one then maybe the new 'King Arthur' could've been an innocent who was a descendant of the original destined to forge a new 'Camelot' in a modern way obviously which the Charmed Ones fought out about and had to protect from the black knights and then Mordaunt who wanted to kill her/him not Wyatt been the true king then so he could become that instead.

On paper, season six looked amazing, a future son of the charmed ones travelling back in time to stop the dark, dystopian future where good is hard to find and evil is everywhere caused by the son we already knew. AMAZING. But the way it was executed, the way the characters became so out of character, the fluff episodes dotted in between important ones...eurgh. Basically it was a mess. And had it been done by someone competent (i.e. not Brad Kern), it probably would have been the best season of them all.

Which baffles me completely 'cause as others have already said Chris made the season and 'Chris Crossed' was the top rated episode that year which prompted the spin off idea no wonder that never happened in the end the way things wrote out there.
Huge potential lost. Big mistake if you ask me.

Huge potential lost. Big mistake if you ask me. You summarized it perfectly, Melinda. After the failure that was Season 5, Chris was exactly what the show needed to be brought back on track. He renewed interest in the show for many, and the ratings for early Season 6 were some of the highest the show had seen since the Prue years. People clearly LIKED him and his story and wanted to see more of it. And, what did Kern do? Give us more of the filler crap that ruined Season 5. Notice that Season 6's ratings took a nosedive after "Witchstock." Why? Because the powerful, intriguing follow-up to "Chris-Crossed" that people were waiting for never happened and was replaced by a boring piece of hippie crap that shat all over continuity. And, then, the next three episodes after that centered around conjuring dream guys ("Prince Charmed"), Freebie ("Used Karma"), and a cheap Hogwarts knockoff ("The Legend of Sleepy Halliwell"). The next time Chris' story came up again, he had to play second-fiddle to, yet, another sexy Phoebe costume ("I Dream of Phoebe"), and it suddenly became all about Piper needing to get knocked up. And, then, at the end of the season, Chris was killed off without hardly any closure, and what did we get after that? More bad cultural appropriation ("A Call to Arms"), more Freebie ("Bare Witch Project"), more gratuitous dead relatives ("Cheaper by the Coven"), more gratuitous sexism ("Bare Witch Project" and "Once in a Blue Moon"), more pop culture ripoffs ("Charrrrrmed"), and more of Phoebe's love life (Nick Lachey), all topped off by the most boring, anti-climactic story arc ever (the Avatars). I don't know how much of it was Kern or the WB, but both deserve blame. Kern clearly didn't have the same interest in the Charmed Sons idea as fans did (hence the reason why his proposed spinoffs revolved around Mermaids and Billie), and the WB had their mandates for filler fluff and cheap fanservice. Such a giant missed opportunity.
