I agree, Avatars were the creator of their fake reality, they had the power to call off what they did, so they could bring back Kyle, even though I was very happy they didn't ! I agree also with Erika, to rewind the time is a Tempus privilege, Avatar are more powerful,in a more complex way: they, as the Avatara, emanations of Vishnu in the form of cosmic officer, to make Utopia intervened on mind structure of people, to generate a docile humanity But they weren't able to rewind time for Cole, to send him before Paige went to Prue funeral, they simply opened the door to a parallel reality, where Paige had died but Cole was the Source and being the Source was the cause ofhis problems with Phoebe, not Paige Very good point, Sol. The Avatars didn't really rewind time at all for Cole, but merely created an alternate timeline. I suppose you could argue that Cole indadvertently did this himself - perhaps because he was an inexperienced Avatar. Maybe the Elders simply cannot reverse time beyond 24/48 hours? I believe that it was essentially a question of weakness and to bing back Leo, magical creature that was part of the collective, it was certainly easier than trying to retrieve a human The Avatars want Cole for his great power and his invulnerability which is a feature of great relevance for their colective, isn't strange that they helped him to realize a dream from which hardly he'ld then come off? It 's also strange the alternate world where Cole goes into: it isn't a return to the past, otherwise he'ld be in the church with Phoebe to keep her from receiving condolences from Paige It'ld be enough that simple gesture to change things: Paige, that evening, would go on P3 terrace and she'ld be killed by Shax, meanwhile Phoebe and Cole were helping Piper to wash the dishes That's where Cole'ld like to go back, to the best time of his human life The undisputed and distrustful leader of Halliwell is gone, Paige lives elsewhere and is a stranger, the formula two witches and a demon is perfect: there is action, danger, Phoebe is always at his side, Cole is her love, her best friend, her coach He lives in the family, Piper accepted him because she always follow Phobe's heart, Leo accepted him because he always follows the sisters's heart, Piper and Leo'ill establish a form of lasting friendship Those are the days that Cole dreams to have back: having breakfast with Piper's muffins, training Phoebe for the fight, setting strategies with the sisters, a beer and a game on TV with Leo ... Instead he landed in a nightmare world: it'ld be unrealistic not to mistrust that the Avatars created that reality to quickly bring him back to the collective, knowing that otherwise, from the past to which he craved so much, Cole'ld never come out

Instead he landed in a nightmare world: it'ld be unrealistic not to mistrust that the Avatars created that reality to quickly bring him back to the collective, knowing that otherwise, from the past to which he craved so much, Cole'ld never come out You're right - that would've been a much better way to solve Cole's problem - but would it happen? Nothing in your scenario stops Piper from becoming a fury (remember that was Paige...) or Cole from taking in the Source's power and becoming the Source himself with Phoebe as his queen, since the Seer would still want them to conceive the Phoetus so the Seer can steal it and become the power behind his throne which just leads to the world in 'Centennial Charmed'. I'll insist his much-better way would be to go to a world where his demonic mother didn't kill his father so Ben raised Cole instead, so Cole would be able to control his demonic urges long before he met Phoebe and could be the lawyer she always loved rather than the mercenary demon he truly was and she would always hate. But that would only happen if Cole could admit that everything that happened was due to him giving into those urges and I don't know if he would since he never asked for help but instead enjoyed being able to be powerful and evil with a ready excuse - the Source made me do it. Besides, doing it this way was his way of trying to make it all Paige's fault - not his. Until he admits that, he's always going to end up with either the way S4 went or the way 'Centennial Charmed' went - he'd never get what you suggested. But what you suggest - that's how I wish S4 had gone - no Paige - just two sisters who happen to be witches with their loves - a half-angel and and half-demon - continuing their destiny with everything you mentioned making Cole's life perfect - the undisputed and distrustful leader of Halliwell is gone, Paige doesn't exist, and as you said, the formula of two witches and a demon is perfect: there is action, danger, Phoebe is always at his side, Cole is her love, her best friend, her coach. He lives with the family; Piper accepts him because he makes Phoebe happy; Leo accepts him because he knows the Underworld and can help with planning and help protect the sisters so Leo and Cole establish a lasting friendship. Were S4 to be the last season, I'd much prefer something like that than what we got with that last season used to show how this foursome discovers what their true destiny continues to be - not killing the Source (who ignores them once they're no longer Charmed...remember - that was Paige...) but continuing to protect innocents, so it would truly end as 'Charmed' and not a Buffy-wannabe.

In fact the situation you described would be a good solution
They'ld brought Paige up at end of the season, recreating the Power of Three with two sisters who had managed to reinvent themselves after the death of their big siters, their guide, their rock
Cole who blames Paige of ruining everything is very, very human, he gets with honors into the category of men inable to do self-criticism as if he had been raised by a human mom

Jesus wept! Is Cole going to hijack yet another thread!? There are two active Centennial Charmed threads. Here and here. Would it be asking too much to take this Cole discussion to either one of them. Thank you.

We were talking about Avatars and their alternative reality But I am happy you wrote this, so I can remember you that there is Rex and Hanna thread to tell how beautiful, smart, good, unforgettable they were because I noticed you are putting them everywhere

Bleh, this site needs more Rex & Hannah. Tim's R&H story, " World of Darkness," presents a kind of alternate universe I wish Charmed had explored more. The show sort-of tried to go there with "It's a Bad, Bad, Bad, Bad World," but it just came off as silly and exaggerated rather than the dark, unnerving 1984-esque tone of Tim's story.

I'm glad you posted that link, I just read the story and like it a lot. Yes, Charmed could/should have done something similar to that, but knowing the writers, they would have completely screwed it up. They didn't really care about the show or the fans.

I agree, those days were dreaming days for Cole, because of this he needed the Avatars powers Cole'ld be able to go back to the day of Prue's funeral to prevent any contact between Phoebe and Paige but this cannot guarantee that somehow Phoebe'ld have a premonition and save Paige The Avatars had the ability to manipulate alternative worlds, Cole was sure that an "made by Avatars reality" would be tailored for him: no Paige and Phoebe and his family back

If this is an attempt at being funny, I'm afraid you've failed, Erikamarie. BTW, it's spelled Hannah, not Hanna. Get it right, okay. My inspiration for World Of Darkness came from the Classic Star Trek episode, Mirror, Mirror, and the 1971 Doctor Who story, Inferno, which was made during Jon Pertwee's first season as the Doctor. Both dealt with our heroes being transported into a parallel universe where a Fascist regime was in place instead of the democracy they were familiar with. In WOD, Hannah even has a line where she says it's like "that episode of Star Trek where Spock had a beard." I really should write a sequel someday in which R&H return to that parallel world to see how things are coming along in the five year since they were there (I wrote WOD in 2011). Thank you, Jennifer. I'm glad that there are some folks here at the Cafe who appreciate my work. At times I feel like a lone voice in the wilderness around here. As I said, it's ironic that a lot of my audience came from outside Charmed fandom (a lot came from the Alexander Palace Time Machine, a message board devoted to the Romanovs and other European Royalty), not inside it. They already did screw it up with the aforementioned It's a Bad, Bad, Bad, Bad World. Charmed had an opportunity to give us a good parallel world story, and instead they gave us this silly rubbish story. As Obscurus Lupa said in her Charmed Reviews, if it's a good idea, Charmed will find a way to screw it up.

We have a very different sense of humor, I didn't want to be fun Simply I don't understand the need to talk about Rex and his girlfriend in contexts in which we are talking about others arguments, as the Source and Phoebe's premonitions
Always the same panegyric, by the way, all in Charmed can be despised except those two
You should be the first to understand it given the accuracy with which you chew who overrun the subject out

I've seen Phoebe/Cole/Source shoved into threads in which they have no business being. So, Betty and I decided to do the same with Rex and Hannah. The shoe is on the other foot now, right.
Rubbish. There are other characters and things in Charmed I like, alongside Rex and Hannah. Examples include:
1. The early seasons sisters and Paige. 2. Quake 3. Kit the cat. 4. Kira the Seer 5. Wyatt and Chris 6. Zankou 7. Henry Mitchell
Surely you're not comparing the amount of R&H discussion with that of Phoebe/Cole/Source? I can tell you that it is nowhere near the same. Before I came here last year, there had been no real R&H discussion since 2011.
On the other hand, Phoebe/Cole/Source discussions have been happening here since George W. Bush's first term in the White House.
So, yes, there have been times that I've felt like someone on the outside looking in.

But you and Betty, who are? A duo? The Lords of the site? Our teachers?
If the fans talk about Cole and Phoebe and not Kit the cat if because Cole and Phoebe are still interesting, Kit the cat no, Monsieur Lapalisse docet
Oh my you wrote there is a site devoted to European Royalty? Really? Not my king I hope!

Henry Mitchell I find all of these things (+ Rex & Hannah) far more interesting than Phoebe/Cole. This site badly needs some more Season 1-2 discussions, lots of good topics there. I'm surprised "Morality Bites" hasn't been brought up more as an example of an alternate timeline (albeit one that was eventually destroyed). We saw what could possibly happen if the sisters abandoned their Charmed destiny and went down a darker path of using magic for the sake of selfish reasons (including committing murder).

Amazing how much that episode predicted the post 9/11 U.S. (remember, this episode was made in 1999, before such things as the Patriot Act were even thought of).
Long before anyone ever heard of the Tea Party, this episode showed what kind of country they would want the U.S. to be.
And in this episode, Phoebe committed murder and was willing to own up for it, unlike in Hyde School Reunion.
If only this site had "Lords". We've just been lucky that trolls and spammer haven't overrun this board, since there is no longer a staff to protect it.
Erikamarie implied that Rex and Hannah were the only things I liked about Charmed. I said that there were many things I liked, Kit included.
What?? Must you toss in these non sequitur comments all the time, Sol? They serve no useful purpose.
Yes, it's called the Alexander Palace Time Machine. The main focus is the Romanov Family, that once ruled Russia. However, there are sections for other European Monarchies, and yes, that does include the Iberian Monarchies (Portugal and Spain).

I may understand that Romanov or better Holstein Gottor Romanov family could be interesting and I think that Elizabeth II is a great woman but Felipe! Who could be interested in Felipe? I know that there are a few good films at the cinema, but that is no excuse to spend time with the Bourbons! Tim, please, tell me you that you like Ekaterina, Nicolaj or Petr Alekseevic but not the boring Bourbons

My primary focus is the Romanovs, yes. I'm guessing the Bourbons are connected to the same family that once ruled your neighbour nation, France. To get this thread back on track, here is the parallel reality I created for my R&H Chronicles story, World Of Darkness. I copied it from my R&H Chronicles wikia: History
The history of the parallel space/time continuum is hard to pin down, since much is still shrouded in mystery. What is known is that, in this world, the Great Depression was far worse than it had been in ours. The American government collapsed in 1934, with the President being dragged out of the White House and lynched. Following that, there was total anarchy in the United States for the next three years. Then, in 1937, a group of men, back by the military who just wanted stability, seized power. Calling themselves the Regime, they promised peace and stability, if the American people would submit to their rule. Desperate for an end to the chaos, the people bought into it. Once it was firmly in power, the Regime subsequently made treaties of friendship with Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. When the Second World War began in 1939, the Regime quickly sided with the Axis Powers. They provided arms and personal to Germany and then watched as Hitler took over all of Europe, including Britain and Russia. While Germany and Japan took over Europe and Asia, the Regime conquered both Canada and Mexico. They then bullied South America into becoming a protectorate. The Regime and Imperial Japan subsequently divided up the Pacific between them. Thanks to the Regime, the Axis powers won World War II and have ruled this world ever since. Only Australia and a few other countries managed to remain free from Axis rule. The Regime
Like its Axis allies, the Regime is a one party state that controls all aspects of the lives of its citizens. The Regime has an all powerful organization called the Security Forces that keeps watch on the general population. The Security Forces all have their own districts, each of which is headed by Section Leader. It is compulsory for all citizens of the Regime to have a microchip implanted into their right hand at birth. These microchips allow the Security Forces to keep track of said citizens. A scan of the microchip will bring up all the vital statistics of the citizen in question. Those that speak out, or engage in activities which the Regime finds seditious, are either executed or sent to forced labour camps for extended periods of time. Fearing that colleges and universities were "hotbeds of sedition", the Regime eventually closed them all down and took over the administration of all Academia. Rex and Hannah encounter the parallel space/time continuum
In 2011, while making an attempt to travel back in time to the year 1906, Rex Buckland and Hannah Webster were instead transported, via a malfunctioning Time Key, to the parallel space/time continuum. Upon their arrival in the parallel space/time continuum, Rex and Hannah were captured by the Security Forces, and brought to Paige Matthews, who is a Section Leader in the Security Forces. Paige interrogated the two former Warlocks, but refused to believe their account of coming from another space/time continuum. Rather, she believed that they were enemy spies and had Rex and Hannah locked up. Deciding that this world was not for them, Rex and Hannah decided to use the Time Key to try and return to their own continuum. However, Rex then discovered that, in their rough arrival in this continuum, they had lost the Time Key. Using Rex's power of translocation, Rex and Hannah returned to spot where they had arrived in this continuum to look for the Time Key. However, before Rex and Hannah could begin a proper search, they were captured by the Resistance and taken to the Resistance's hidden gathering place, where they met the still living Patty Halliwell and her second husband, Sam Wilder (Patty's first husband, Victor Bennett, had been executed by the Regime for being too vocal in his opinions about them). Also in the resistance are Prue, Piper, and Phoebe Halliwell. Patty told the two former Warlocks that her mother, Penny Halliwell, didn’t reveal much of magic to any of them, because she had been afraid the Regime would find out. Sam informed them that, when the Elders gave up on humanity, because of the brutality of the Regime and its ally states (Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan) they recalled all the white lighters from Earth. Sam chose to remain with Patty, and thus became mortal. Rex and Hannah informed Patty and Sam about the Charmed Ones in the world they came from. Patty and Sam thus are convinced that Rex and Hannah were sincere. At that same time, Paige had found out about Rex and Hannah's escape and decided to investigate further. She viewed a tape of their arrival in this continuum and realized that perhaps their story was not so far fetched. She decided to head to the location of Rex and Hannah's arrival to see what she could find there. Later, having accompanied the Halliwell family back to their Manor, Rex and Hannah informed the Halliwells about Paige. Prue, Piper, and Phoebe at first refused to believe that Paige Matthews was their sister, but Patty believed it, she knew that Paige would have been just about the right age. Patty explained that Paige had been taken away from her and Sam when she was a child because the Regime only allowed three children to a family. Rex and Hannah informed her that, yes, Paige was indeed her and Sam's daughter. Rex then headed to the attic to find the Book Of Shadows, in order to help the Charmed Ones of this universe discover their true legacy, Hannah went off to see if she could find the Time Key. Soon, in the attic, Rex discovered the Book Of Shadows, where Penny had hidden it decades before, under some floor boards. At that same time, Hannah, had still been searching for the Time Key, when she was captured by Paige, who had found the Time Key. Having been taken back to Paige’s office, Hannah was subjected to a truth drug and was made to tell where Rex was. Hearing the name Halliwell, Paige got curious, because she believed they had all been executed years before (the Regime, of course, had lied to her). Paige thus decided to head to Halliwell Manor herself to find some answers, taking Hannah with her. The parallel Charmed Ones discovery their legacy
Soon after, at the Manor, Rex revealed the Book Of Shadows to everyone. At that same time, Paige arrived at the Manor with Hannah. Paige then demanded answers, but Patty managed to convince her long lost daughter of the truth by singing the song Suo Gan to her. This triggered a childhood memory in Paige, as she remembered her mother singing that song to her. This convinced Prue, Piper, and Phoebe that Paige was their sister, as they recalled Patty singing the same song to them when they were little. Rex, after having made sure that Hannah was okay, managed to convince Paige, and her sisters, to touch the Book Of Shadows, and it would help reveal the truth. All four of them touched the Book and the four sisters had their powers activated. At that point, Paige, who now realized that everything the Regime had told her was a lie, agreed to help her family. The spirit he of that world’s Penny Halliwell then appeared and gave them all her blessing. She had realized that she had been wrong to conceal the truth of their birthright from her granddaughters. Before departing, the spirit of Penny thanked Rex and Hannah for helping her granddaughters discover their legacy. Rex then told the sisters that with the help of the Book Of Shadows, they could find other good witches and magical beings. These beings could, in the long run, possibly help the Charmed Ones bring down the Regime. Leaving that parallel world to its own destiny, Rex and Hannah used the now repaired Time Key to return to their own space/time continuum. It remains to be seen what kind of impact the Charmed Ones and their allies will have on that parallel Earth.

The current lineage descended from Felipe V The Bourbon dynasty has French origin : when the Valois royal dynasty ran out, they conquered the throne of France thanks to a good network of marriages The son of Felipe V, Carlos, became Duke of Parma and the King of Naples always through clever marriage About different timeline and history If you love history, a pair of Italian historians (who have used the discovery for a novel, Secretum) have discovered that the the last will with which Carlos II of Habsburg, King of Spain, appointed as heir not the nephew from Habsburg's always designated as heir when the king was alive, but another relative, Philippe of Anjou, Louis XIV's grandson, was a fake For that forged last will, it burst a war that lasted 14 years, emptied the state treasury of France bringing the kingdom to the economic collapse, led Spain to lose the American colonies in favor of England, 14 years of terrible war: all for a last will that has been certified (the documentation and the 21 calligraphic reports are filed by a notary in Vien) as a fake So Felipe reigns unlawfully, the throne belong to the Habsburg's descendants Back to the alternative reality:without the horrible years of the War of Succession there would never exist the English colonies, the American Revolution, and perhaps not even the French Revolution and Napoleon: a handwriting evaluation'ld be enough to avoid it

The Flash just finished a two part story in which Barry and Co. went to Earth 2. A world similar, but very different. For one thing, the Earth 2 counterpart of their friend, Caitlin Snow, was a villain called Killer Frost.

My newest Rex and Hannah story, Death's Dominion, could be called an alternate world story. In the story, R&H find themselves on a dead Earth, wiped out by Cthulhu and the Old Ones.
