Based on my earlier poll, but wondering about just Season Six now.
What was your reaction towards Season Six the first time you watched it and what is your reaction now? Just choose one choice.

When I first got Season Six on DVD I binge-watched it over one weekend and was thoroughly disappointed. I felt the cheese-factor had been upped to 10 from the end of Season 5 and that the worst parts of the sisters' personalities had only been magnified. Also, the over-concentration on Wyatt, and the sisters' expense, and the needless Piper-Leo separation also annoyed me. What was the point in them getting 'divorced' if Leo was hanging around the house more than ever?
Saying that I don't hate the season as there are good episodes but as an overall body of work it's one of my least favourite seasons.

When I was younger, I thought it was messy and full of filler, an awful season. Now that I'm older I hate it even more. Just a big season full of wasted potential.

It's one of my least favorites. The feel of Charmed is completely nonexistent for me here. I like the idea of a kid from the future coming back to save everyone, but that struck me as an idea that would be better as a two-part season or series finale rather than an entire season. If the show was still Charmed, it should have been about the sisters, and not about one sister's kids or husband. Magic school was cheesy to an almost offensive level, and there was no longer any separation from their magic and nonmagic lives.
I was too young when I first watched it to be able to put to words why I was disappointed while watching it, but I knew it felt off. The more time that passes, the more I just don't have any interest in watching it anymore.

There was so much potential the writers had with Chris this season which they didn't do.
And the way they wrote him please don't get me started although I still liked the season in other ways though.
I hated the Valkryies. Wish they'd been more Norse mythology based and actually set in Valhalla with Oden and other gods etc.
I can hear Black Sabbath's 'Vahalla' singing in my head.
Didn't like some of the sisters attitudes this season like Phoebe's baby quest and the fact Piper wouldn't bind Wyatt's power after the dragon incident and her constant normal life whining to.
The Cleaners shouldn't have bowed down to the CO's demands and just kept Wyatt or erased the sisters then.
Piper 'n' Leo should've just divorced instead of leaving fans on tender hooks wandering what's going on.
And Gideon should've told the sisters and Leo his concerns over Wyatt first before trying to kill him later.

What melindahalliwell partly said that there was a lot of potential which wasn't used, unfortunately. Other things could have done differently, especially when it came to Phoebe and Piper. And Leo with his constant following of Chris also got on my nerves - after all he was an Elder and definitely not hanging around on Earth, though he has a child. I mean, hello, there were enough hints for Chris to be discovered and not so late.

I liked it the first time through, thinking that Chris was going to murder Wyatt, and just like in 'Oh, My Goddess', maybe Bianca wanted to save Wyatt, but Chris sure didn't. Was ecstatic when Chris was killed instead.
My opinions haven't changed at all. The sisters are now the sister in my signature. Don't like any of them - hate Leo even more - just don't like this season. No, I hate it - my least-favorite season even over Season Eight, since that includes Henry and Little Wyatt.
Might have liked it a lot better had it been played by someone who could show the many sides of Chris, if indeed there were any sides outside of a murdering, self-centered brat. But when the only emotion Drew Fuller showed well was whining and sighing impatiently, no, I still think Chris died because he thought dying to save Wyatt would make his parents sorry for all the horrible things he think they had done to him like Daddy too busy saving the world to pay much attention to his poor, poor, pitiful son.
Drew Fuller never showed little signs of Chris caring or respecting his parents and aunts before they knew who he was (and a great actor could've/would've), so I was sure when he started acting like he did after they knew who he was, it was just that - an act.
I still think so.

Still love it
It was a season less focused on the sisters, it's true, but it'ld be the season that would lay the groundwork for a different, future serie about Piper's sons
I don't like like the series that repeat themselves, after telling the story of three sisters, I'ld love stories about two brothers, the relations are completely different
In fact Supernatural was born, demonstrating that there was room for a series focused of magical brothers
It’s A Bad, Bad, Bad, Bad World is a big mess, yet it has the merit of remembering how many children are abused in the family and remebering tha the all powerfull Wyatt was only a kid
From Witch Wars
Phoebe: It may not be a demon. Look, we've relied on magic all this time and it's gotten us nowhere. And since I can't rely on my premonitions to help, I've had to resort to statistics. Piper: Statistics? Phoebe: Yes. Did you know that fifty percent of violent crimes are perpetrated by someone the victim knew. So don't you see? Whoever turns Wyatt evil might actually be someone we know or even care about. Gideon: A mortal? Impossible. Phoebe: Really? Because the crime reporter at the newspaper said that it's usually someone you least expect.
Season 6 is lighter than season 5, it's often funny, I still love it

I thought it was okay then. I still feel the same. However, I believe this season featured one of the best episodes of the entire series, "Chris-Crossed".

I rewatched few episodes and I even re-evaluated the season six, especially if I compare it to the current series, which I start to watch and often give up
It is a season full of new ideas and reinterpretations of classic: Romeo and Juliet, of course, Atreides history, which inspired the Dune cycle, the Beauty and the Beast also, at the base of Little Monster and also days deleted, genies, portals to other dimensions or to the future, there is a wealth of plot that they'ld write almost 3 seasons
The story of the sisters, after five years of battles, innocent to save, monsters, death, slows down and maybe a break is good for them, everything becomes lighter
And then the Big Bad: it is not a demon, is not a villain, it is the Fear
The fear of what was not expected, was not calculated, the fear of the unknown
Wyatt with his big blue eyes is the unknown, and an elder wise as Gideon realizes he doesn't want to face the unknown
Gideon destroys a future that he wanted to save, in the story many people full of good intentions have created disasters
The original side of Charmed where sometimes humans are more dangerous than demens, many years before The Walking Dead

So much to hate in this season, with the horrible portrayals of the sisters, the very bad constructed story-arc with Chris and Wyatt. Couldn't agree more with Piper/Leo's divorce, I didn't see a reason why Leo had to be hanging around. Leo's character needed to be less involved this season, if not gone after the start of the season, especially after their talk at the end of Valley of the Dolls part 2. Then bring him back mid-way through at the earliest.

Then bring him back mid-way through at the earliest. If the wanted to truly separate Piper and Leo, they ought to have made it physically impossible (or difficult) for Leo to be on Earth for extended periods of time; to have him truly 'ascend' without a choice, as was implied at the end of Season 5. Instead he was around the house more than when he was a regular Whitelighter with loads of charges. If they didn't want to get rid of Brian, they could have limited Leo's scenes to Chris' storylines. He WAS investigating him, after all. <iframe width="14.759999999999991" height="4.840000000000003" style="position: absolute; width: 14.76px; height: 4.84px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 683px; top: -363px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_19721126"></iframe> <iframe width="14.759999999999991" height="4.840000000000003" style="position: absolute; width: 14.76px; height: 4.84px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 10px; top: -175px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_70390136"></iframe> <iframe width="14.759999999999991" height="4.840000000000003" style="position: absolute; width: 14.76px; height: 4.84px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 683px; top: -175px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_55551612"></iframe>

And like you said limited his scenes to Chris' storylines only, and not forced him into every single episode.

This was the season that nearly got me to stop watching Charmed. I voted disliked it now hate it. It brings me so many bad memories, that I would vote hated it to now want it erased from my memory.
But on a good note, a few episodes I do enjoy. But overall this season is Charmed at its worst. All the sisters are so unlikeable in many of the episodes.

Ok I'm going to be honest but while this isn't one of my favorite seasons, I do like it. Not because of Chris like everyone else who feels Chris is the redeeming factor but because of Gideon. Yes, the sisters weren't the ones we originally fell in love with S4 onwards if you include Paige but the idea that demons/warlocks/whatever other evil aren't the only threats was something new and I felt this season touched on a psychological theme that seasons before never did. Yes, the writing was poor but in real life, there's no more stranger danger or beware of the devil, it's the enemy within. Phoebe's idea in witch wars that someone in the family or someone close could be the one hurting Wyatt, it's something we hadn't seen in Charmed before. That it's usually someone the victim knows that is trying to hurt him. Gideon was and Elder, Leo's mentor and I feel showing that sometimes even good intentions (Gideon felt Wyatt being sacrificed was for the greater good) can pave the road for hell. Of course I could be the only one who saw it like that so I'll just shut up.

From looking at all the various polls at this board, most of the show's most hated episodes come from this season. So this season appears to be more hated than Season 8.
I thought people hated Season 8 the most. Looks like this season is Charmed's worst from a majority of members here. Interesting?

I think a lot of members like the POTENTIAL of Season Six, but not the way it was done, while most think that not too many potentials could make S8 better, but we've lately had some new members who really enjoy S8 and older members who rewatched it and liked it so I'm not too surprised that some of them made it as high as they did. I've yet to see any member who didn't like S6 the first time around rewatch it and like it. Of course the few members who liked it the first time (and we do have some) still like it, but are in the minority.
