Filming starts Monday in Canada. Will be exciting to see filming photos leaked, especially to see the cast together and how they look. I wonder if we might hear about the mothers casting at some point in the next few weeks since we know she does appear in the pilot's opening scene and dies. I keep going over Harry's description of not being who he seems. Makes me wonder if he might be the villain and the one who may have killed the mother to get to the sisters. Wouldn't that be the opposite of Leo's mysterious introduction revealing him to be good, only this time the whitelighter is the bad guy all along who they trusted? I don't think he's evil. He compared him to Eliot of Magicians. |

I love this!!! Especially this character dying at the end of their arc or season and we don't know he is evil until at least episode 18-20. But It wouldn't surprise me if The CW, had him being revealed as the evil character at the end of S1, and have him not die and kept him over until S2. |

Your most likely right Es, but we can hope. I have to admit we most likely will have to put up with a half-demon again. *roll eyes* I'm hoping Warlocks are in the series but I doubt they will be anything more than a stand-alone episode, with demons being the central villains. |

I think it has more to do with they don't have to be imaginative with demons - dress 'em in black leather; have them shimmer and throw energy balls and you've got them. Even darklighters ended up being beings who shoot arrows and dark-orb. *YAWN* |

Depends on budget in terms of prosphetic based effects I guess in how demons will be portrayed I.E. classic Charmed season 1 era and Buffy when they didn't look human.

That I'm sure new fans watching the reboot who decide to give Classic Charmed a watch for the first time, will probably not like the dated CGI. But good CGI and all the effects and stunts and so on don't make a show. It's the acting, writing, and chemistry. But I know some people take CGI and good effects to heart. True and filming in Vancouver will give them enough money to use CGI to good effect. That's right. |

If they are going to have demons AND warlocks, I hope they at least depict them the right way around. In S1, lots of warlocks seemed to have a monstrous/demonic form which always confused me as warlocks were only meant to be disgraced witches and therefore, human. Conversely, demons became increasingly human-like as the show progressed, with a few exceptions such as Belthazor, despite the fact that were were supposed to be an entirely different species.

Look at this picture (well, the picture in JasonC's post - I SO hate how Proboards handles quoting stuff!) and tell me if you didn't know who was who (I don't), would you be able to tell which actress is actually half-black? I couldn't. They all look Latina to me and I think they're going to play a Latina family even if only one of them has Latin in her heritage. |
