*Sigh* It would have been good if they just gave them their own style dear. But this must just be budget reasons and cutting costs, and going for former Witch shows sets seems easier for them. I'm wondering if that means they'll have to use prosthetics rather than CGI for their demons after all. *sigh* They'll look even more fake to fans who are used to CGI. Well, that might not appeal to the generation today where CGI is so important to them or used too it. I don't like prosthetics because they never look that good. I hated the ones they used for Warlocks in Season 1. Baltazar might be the only demon who didn't look that bad or Shax, but that's about it.

Well it's funny that in Classic Charmed, when I first watched Season 1 they were very real-looking and scared the tar out of me, while most of the CGI in Classic Charmed just plain looked fakey. Nowaday, I admit that it all looks fakey. I agree that the characters played by Michael Bailey Smith looked the most real to me, too, including the original Source, even if Shax's entrances and exits looked fakey but scary to me. But I think most of his characters were done via makeup and not either CGI or prosthetics. Although the second Source was done via makeup and to me he looked fakey supreme! For me, nothing scary about him at all - just made me roll my eyes at how fakey and unscary the so-called Ultimate Big Bad looked.

I guess you get used to how more modern things are now. Let's hope the reboot does a good job. Maybe they are better off having demons possessing humans all the time, that might be scary while leaving it to our imagination on what they really look like, or having them hooded in their real forms. Obviously, you wouldn't have a demon looking like a demon roaming the halls of a college campus. But might prove scary, for the new sisters wondering which student is being possessed by a demon. Michael Bailey Smith was a very good actor for playing demons. It's too bad he wasn't The Source for the entire duration of his run. The First Source was very scary, I still get scared. The second Source looked so bad. Not even scary at all to me, I really had to laugh and roll my eyes at how SO not the Ultimate Big Bad he looked.

I always thought the demonic prosthetics of Season 1-2 were downright cringe, even back then. Special shout out to the Rowe Coven, Hecate and Abraxas. Not that this was exclusively a Charmed problem, because most of Buffy’s demons/vampires were pitiful-looking as well. Belthazor, Shax and Half-Face were such an improvement and, I agree, that it was their looks were mostly achieved with make-up. And I agree that CGI, even now in its much improved state, can still look very dodgy when used too liberally (cough, cheaply). Maybe the reboot should just drop the ‘demons as monsters’ concept entirely. After all, the most memorable/most impressive/scariest baddies in my eyes looked completely human: Zankou, the Triad, the Seer, the Crone, Barbas, Tempus, the Avatars. They just need to cast people who can carry the roles off adequately.

I would be surprised if they do rename the reboot as I’m sure they will be looking to capitalise on the ‘most watched show on Netflix’ hype. But even a small change to something like, ‘The Charmed Ones’ or ‘The Power of Three’ could work well.

I heard about this reboot. I really don't think this is the time to reboot it, they should wait another 10 years. It still feels too early.
Do we know if these new sisters are all going to be in college? I thought I heard that the oldest works on the campus. But what about the middle sister. I hope not because I don't want this show to be too Buffy-like. I liked Charmed because it was past all the high school and college periods. I can handle the youngest sister attending college, but not the other two.

There are just so many questions we may never know till we see the pilot
Will the Book Of Shadows look different?
Will it be called the Book of Shadows?
Will it still be called the power of 3?
Will this house also be built on a spiritual nexus?

The middle is not stated to be in or working at the college. Not sure if we know her occupation yet. Just that she's devastated by the recent tragedy and is dating a cop.

Apparently, she is in college too, according to the Season Zero guy. I thought she was mid-20s, so she must be nearly graduating?

The youngest is 18 and a college freshman. The oldest will be a professor. As will Harry? The middle is not stated to be in or working at the college. Not sure if we know her occupation yet. So Mel is in college then too. I wasn't aware of that dear. I guess that truly means that college is going to be an important aspect of the series. *sigh* So far Mel's girlfriend is the only one not at the college and has a job away from the campus. I wonder if this means Harry will also be a professor too in the college?

It's becoming more and more something I'm not interested in. Curiosity will undoubtedly get me to watch the premiere, but it will have to blow my socks off to keep me watching after that.

I think they're just going for the safe route by having the usual CW audience be able to sympathize with the younger sister. When Black Lightning was moved to the CW, the daughters got more part in the show. Dynasty went all in with older characters and it got totally rejected by Riverdale's audience.

Well seems to me this will probably appeal to the Millennials and the newer generation below them. But I get why The CW is doing what they do. It will just take so much to get me excited and keep me watching. We'll see what happens.
I guess this might be why the sisters are even younger than our Halliwells were in Classic Charmed, and all in college. I guess the modern audience wouldn't be excited to watch three women in the big city with jobs and they are trying to appeal to an even younger crowd.
But I guess that is how it is, they are not interested in watching anybody over 30 or 40 starring in a show on The CW, as it appears Dynasty was rejected by the audience.
It's too bad the Charmed reboot wasn't on Netflix or anything other than CW. I'm sure it would be much less CW style.

Looks like this is the new Manor and it's not Witches Of East Ends' manor like previously reported. I wonder why they put black sheets. Maybe they want to add a balcony or something else with CGI.

At least this looks big enough with additions. The size of Halliwell manor was so confusing. How many rooms? Three? Okay. What about when Grams was alive? Patty?
Black tarp could be interior shooting to shield light? Or something to alter later with cgi?

I too hope they make the Manor interior believable to its outside scale this time again. I wonder if they are actually shooting the pilot inside the house, or just exterior filming.

I hope they do a better job with the manor too and remember the rooms and interior.
I wonder if the oldest sister Macy will be living in it since she didn't grow up with her sisters? Could the manor even stick around longterm? Maybe they sell it and move into dorms?
I didn't find it believable that Paige moved in so quickly. So I'd find it believable that Macy doesn't live under the same roof as her sisters so quickly?

She moved with her boyfriend, so I would assume they're living together.
Depends on the school if the youngest is in a dorm.
I think there was something like Mel wanted to sell house. So we'll see.

Looks like the third sister will be called Maggie (I guess Margarita is still her full name)
