This last one was a slight improvement. Excited for Tyler who played Melinda next episode as a guest.
But did roll my eyes that they keep forgetting Prue and Andy were childhood friends and dated in high school. Their relationship developing fast surprises them.
The fans are okay but I don't need several on. Just make one lucky fan at random picking one each time they do it once in a while. Although I'd be so happy if someone from the Cafe was on. Since I trust us to go in depth on the episode plotlines and mythology.
I do wonder myself if Alyssa will pop on for the Woogy episode.

Yes they're taking it episode by episode but they're not going into full episode breakdowns as it neither interests them nor the wider audience. It's supposed to be that hidden tidbit, behind the scenes secrets type of podcast. The episodes are almost used as springboards. It does make me wonder whether an unofficial partner podcast by fans might crop up at some point. I have thought of doing something myself...but finding the time and suitable recording partners is tricky. |

I've kinda lost interest and haven't kept up. Will they ever have anybody who was part of the crew on? I'm very interested in hearing more behind-the-scenes secrets from that side of the production.
I do love the actress who played Melinda, so I might tune in for her one since 'The Witch is Back' is a very good episode.

It’s not the greatest podcast but I do feel like I get to learn a little bit more about each episode - quirky things like how the end scene when Melinda Warren is being sent is quite an emotional one with the leads. Still though I wish they went into more detail and had kept on track. |

That end scene is very emotional, It makes me cry whenever I re-watch. Such a well acted, directed and crafted scene.
I will check this episode out though. I'll just fast forward the bits where they go off-track and listen to the interview with Tyler.

Firstly, I disagree with most assessments on here. Being a big podcast listener, I know it can take a show time to find it's footing, particularly when it's not being produced. I could certainly give me an industry tip or two. But I actually really enjoying listening to it overall. Both the off-topic banter, the episode breakdown and the interviews. All really interesting stuff to me. My favourite episode so far was episode 4 but all had their charm. I actually found episode 3 quite interesting, even if he did keep referring to James Reid by the wrong name... As for Alyssa and Shannen appearing. Even Ted King. They'll be saved for bigger episodes. Wouldn't be at all surprised if Ted is saved until Deja Vu and Shannen could potentially be the beginning of S2 maybe? Alyssa would be great to have on for Is There a Woogy in the House? but equally, they might go with Christine Rose. I wish the other stars (Shannen, Dorian, Alyssa, Rose, etc) could appear semi-regularly. Honestly I think Rose will appear on this podcast. She seems to have a good relationship with Holly still and I can't imagine her taking issue with Brian or Drew. I will say that my least favorite part of this podcast is Drew Fuller. I don't really find him funny or his inputs to be helpful. Also - if this show lasts until season 7, I absolutely *need* Charisma Carpenter to appear. It would be amazing. |

I wonder if it would've been better if Holly and Alyssa did the podcast together than having Holly with Drew and Brian. Given they were in every episode. It might’ve been more controlled. I feel they'd have a better rapor. I know Alyssa has her own podcast. Never listened since it's political. But I'm sure she's more professional on that one and might take it seriously with staying on track with a Charmed one.
LOL but then again who knows, maybe it wouldn't make a difference.

So they can binge watch the ones that interest me, when I can see the entire content covering S1-S4 for instance. That might be more tempting then I'll be able to sample/binge what I want, and cancel the very next month.
I really do wonder if they'll truly comit to covering the whole series. It'll take a few years to do that. Some of them might drop off if real life gets in the way, and they might abandon the project. I'm yet to see a podcast series covering a show that has gone through an entire series yet. Quite a few are already discontinued.

I almost wish they didn't do every episode. Maybe they could have done 6 podcast episodes per season and cover 3-4 episodes per podcast episode. I do feel like some of the episodes there isn't much to say and they could have cut the episode down to like 20 minutes. If they did 4 episodes per podcast episode it would total 48 podcast episodes - I think this is a good amount. Perhaps they will change the format once they realize it isn't super sustainable to do every episode? I'd even be happy if they did a longer podcast episode per season - this could have allowed them to bring in these guest stars in different segments. My fear is that they will stop doing it before they get to some of my favorite seasons (S4 and S7). I guess we will wait and see! |

I remember her saying in an Instagram live with Rose that she is still an actress but she just isn't interested in certain jobs. She said something like she didn't want to do jobs like guest starring in one episode of popular TV shows. Last I heard, Holly is still interested in doing acting but doesn't want to do big roles, and it interfering with spending time with her family. Only reason she accepted her role on (PLL) Pretty Little Liars was because the scheduling fit what she wanted via doing work and spending more time with her family. |

My hot take: I wonder if it would be better if it was Drew and a co-host who talks about the episode and gushes over it, good and bad. And has the cast and crew. Basically, like The West Wing Weekly. The little I've listened to...Drew seems to be the one who wants to do this and cares more about talking about it. Holly and Brian seem to be a tagalong to get people to listen because Drew (because of Chris) can be hit-or-miss to the fans. |
