They won't be able to fit them all in unless they make use of the second hour where they are showing Classic Charmed from prior seasons. If they do that they could easily fit S8 in by the start of the new CW. Also, CW won't be running Charmed reruns, but they will have S8 on TNT. Still, I broke down and bought the first five DVD seasons. They play better on widescreens anyway.

Does it really matter what the WB do? They've been vanquished, as HMC pointed out. If this clueless network had had any foresight, they might have predicted that Forever Charmed would have scored well in the ratings (which it did). Then, they could have demanded a two-hour season finale that could have held its ratings into the 9 pm slot (which the rerun of Classic Charmed did not).

But, I suppose this is the consequence when you sack the entire WB team halfway through the season and put in charge Clueless Warlocks who still haven't figured out that CW has got to be the worst industry logo imaginable for a network. Since most of us are used to three letter acronyms, the temptation to place an O in the middle is almost irresistable. So, what will the COW feature. A pasture of poop? At least, the WB was an acronym that had long historical resonance. Or, maybe its short for CWK (Clarisworks). Bring back Melissa Joan Hart for another round of Ask Clarissa. Stop, please stop me!

First thing I thought of when I heard CW was Country Western, followed shortly after by Complete Waste... Seriously what is it actually supposed to stand for again? Or is it just one of those names like the Wii, where the makers were enjoying their crack and just thought the name sounded cool...

So, I'm sitting here, watching the DVDs I recently bought of the first 5 seasons, picking through episodes in early seasons and I take a break to watch this made for TV movie, called Fallen. Not the one made a few years back with Denzel Washington, which was disturbingly tragic, but one on the ABC Family Channel. Briefly, it's a bout a kid, an ophan, who in reaching his 18th birthday, discovers one of his parents was an Fallen angel. This makes him a Nephilim. Which is also what's going on in the BBC show "Hex", where a Fallen angel has a son with a witch (any of this sounding familia yet) who is a special nephilim, much like the 18 year old. Oh, did I mention the 18 year old can freeze time, is a special Nephilim, known as the redeemer, because he can redeem Fallen angels and they can go back to the Creator, or at least heaven. He also has wings and can fly. Anyway, in Hex, the Fallen angel, who is the bad guy of the story, is suddenly not looking all bad and his son is the one who can free other fallen angels. I think they've all read from the same play book here.

That's when I had this epiphany, though a small one, about the Charmed Sons. I'll post this on that threa too. This is the angle the show needs. Wyatt, as is Chris, is the son of an Angel and a human (OK, a Witch). He is Nephilim, by definition, which were banned from happening. Which is why some Killer Geshtapo angels hunt down the Nephilim, soon after their 18th BD, and kill them.

This is the missing story for the Charmed Sons. Yes, it will copy both these shows, but one is just a movie (which will have some six hour mini event in 2007) and the other is BBC. This is the twist that can be added to make the Charmed Sons it's own show and not just a continuation of TCO. Wyatt is the Redeemer and he and Chris, another Nephilim, realize they need to help others like themselves and other Fallen Angels (like Sam was) to redeem themselves. This is why many in the Underworld (or at least can add to the explanation) think of Wyatt as a abomination, so they want him evil or destroyed. It's why the Elders forbid relations between Whitelighters and witches, cause they breed Nephilim. This would add so much to the story of Wyatt and Chris and give them a mission independent of saving innocents, which was their mother's hobby. What do you think?

Is anyone else experiencing problems with the WB? My cable company is still listing it, but he station is blank when I tune to it. It could be local to my area, Northern VA, but is anyone else without the WB?

No, but we might as well be. Let's see: skip The Last Temptation of Christy. So, how is a newbie (are there any still out there?) supposed to understand the last four episodes? Oh well. That's why they become clueless warlocks! And the CoWs come marching in!

I still can't believe they skipped Engaged & Confused either, I thought most of the events of that episode were central to the plot? Didn't the WB know it was going to be merged prior to starting the reruns of S8? Did it really take that long for notice to get down to scheduling?

It is odd about the skipped episodes because they didn't have to do that. They could have run two season 8 at a time during the last few weeks, since they were doing so anyway with the second being from a prior season. Now they've skipped ahead, instead, so as to close out the WB with the last two episodes. This Sunday they are only showing one episode of Charmed and another show follows it. I don't know how long the WB will continue, meaning what is the turnover date, but we do know the CW will not be showing Charmed reruns.

Also, the glitch I was having was a strange technical difficulty with just channel 3 (which is the WB on my cable network), but only that channel. A refresh fixed it, but it was wierd that it was only that station I was not getting.

Anyway, season six will be out on DVD in mid Oct and seven and eight are not far behind, if I understand correctly what I've been reading.
