It would take a lot to make me "tired" of reruns of charmed. Maybe after seeing an episode 50 or so times I'd say so, but not yet. I'm enjoying whatever I can get!

I know what you mean. I'm recording and watching various S8 episodes when they're on, and other favorites, like the 150th, when JM came back as Cole, and Drake (Billy Zane) has his last appearance.

I think I've seen Centennial Charmed 97 times and Forever Charmed 52 times. Who's counting?

Don't even get me started. I think I've seen Siren song and The day the magic died more than 100 times.

So, what do you think is the attraction of these episodes to us? Other than being more than a bit obsessive compulsive, that is. I know for me there is sometimes a couple of scenes or more that I just would like to see again, but not out of context of the rest of the episode.

Well, it's one of way of learning the dialogue by heart. Just keep watching it over and over again. Then, there is the excitement associated with each of these favs. Finally, perhaps it's because there's nothing else to do. I know that's pathetic, but it's better than watching American Idol.

For some odd reason nothing else on tv holds my attention for very long. It's odd but I'd rather see old scenes of Charmed than almost anything on tv.
I think it's the familiarity we may feel towards the characters and situations. I love reciting the dialogue, specially when it's witty and fun. I love rewatching reaction shots that I think were brilliant, little out of character moments between the actors ("Rock on" comes to mind) and overall, seeing these people that we "lived" with for 8 years feels nice.

Well, here's another reason to watch All Hell Breaks Loose (again!). As some of you know, I am a substitute teacher at the moment. Although I've been at the same school for a while, I've gotten a chance to meet other substitute teachers. One is Tommy Hicks. I've chatted with him and marveled at his dapper style of attire and his flipping of his tie over his shoulder whilst eating. (Come to the point, vandergraafk).
The point is: after seeing him for the umpteenth time and finally being indirectly introduced to him (I didn't know his name, although we've talked. Besides, I forget names too easily.), I realized that he is the captain on AHBL. HE IS! So, today I confirmed with another substitute that he indeed is an actor. I said he had only one line, uttered when he came out of his office to alert Darryl to the events unfolding on TV. Now my colleagues want to know what he said. Me? I know the gist. But, now I want to know it word for word. Obsesssive compulsive, no?

So you've spent some time with Tommy Hicks in the teacher's lounge?

Oh yeah. Every time I see Tommy, I discover something new. Like if I had read Triquetra as thoroughly as I ought to have, I would have discovered that Tommy was in Spike Lee's She's Gotta Have It. (He played the dapper gentleman.) When I confronted Tommy with this tidbit, he mentioned that this is the role that brought him from New York to LA. It was Shannen who landed him the part on Charmed. He was in All Hell Breaks Loose and A Paige from the Past (two of my favorite episodes). No, I see him in the faculty cafeteria sometimes at Vista M.S., sometimes at Van Nuys M.S. and sometimes at Polytechnic H.S. He never ceases to amaze me. I can't imagine how I'd function as a teacher - substitute or not - if the kids had seen me in an underwear commerical for Sears. (Yes, Tommy was in one of those!) He's a class act and seriously underemployed as an actor!
